Why most of the projects these days prefer IEO over ICO? , what were the lacks in ICOs that crypto needs IEO? What should we choose as an investor? Which has lower risk?

When talking about risk, all have their own risks, both at the ICO and the IEO, but in the IEO the risk is a little lower because the reputation of the exchange is also included in it, so investors have more confidence in the IEO than the ICO, even though there are ICOs. better than IEO.

- Not many investors are interested in ICOs now. If you have a new project and needs funding, it is wiser to go for a model preferred by most investors which is IEO in this case.

- Immediate listing after IEO. Investors issue with most ICOs before is that it takes months before it gets listed and that forces them to hold onto their investment than they planned.
- Many believe it is safer because they think these exchanges will verify the projects first before accepting them in their IEO platform.

An investor shouldn't be asking which one to choose and which one has lower risk. Review the pros and cons and decide for yourself.

when viewed from the risk, IEO is smaller than ICO. but for now not all IEO are good, we must be careful in choosing them. sometimes there are IEO projects that don't match predictions. usually such projects do IEO on less popular exchanges.

ICO is too risky for now, there are already many scam projects doing ICO. so that's why IEO is the best choice for those who want to invest. we also don't need to be afraid of KYC, because our personal data is safe. exchange also must verify every project that wants to do an IEO on their platform.

I like the IEO because it is managed by exchanges so this is a bit of a risk for me and it is definitely listed after the IEO sales have finished so the IEO is now increasingly attracted by investors.

A lot of that is done in small exchanges but it will not make us profitable but loss, so we choose IEO in popular exchanges to make it safer.

Moreover, there is lesser risk in IEO's than with ICO's since exchanges will be partly accountable in a particular token sale, but this could also mislead investors since its not a guarantee that a project will do good in the future even if they've conducted an IEO with a particular exchange and so I guess research will be crucial here so that investors will be able to decide their investment plan accordingly.

An advantage of an IEO is that after the token sale those tokens are getting listed on this exchange without any delay. However, if you are asking about the risks, an IEO does not provide more security to their contributors and has the same chances to succeed as an ICO.

As you know, in the last 2 years, many project stated that will organize an ico. But in the end they either disappeared or could not enter the any exchange. This led to the withdrawal of investments by those who have already made small investments and to see the bottom of the project. The lower risk is to buy bitcoin and forget about also IEO. Invest your money to bitcoin, hold it for a year or two and sell it when the price had increase for you to profit.

They follow the hype, and its obvious that they are using these new development so they can collect an easy monet. Its ok for them to spend a lot of money from being listed on the top exchange because they are confident that they will get more investors. There's nothing wrong with the ICO, if you're a good project you can still go for ICO and make a big impact later on after the collection period.

When ico was the way to make an investment people were supposed to send bitcoin, ethereum or few top listed altcoins calculating the number of tokens to be purchased. Here investors were supposed to wait for specific day for the distribution of the tokens. These days through IEO the same is being got instantly. Also the exchange launching the IEO gives trade support which is the one that makes IEO much preferred over ICO.

A lot of projects are still doing ICO but some platforms that eligible to cooperate with the exchange site will not try to ignore that offer that has been made by exchange site. IEO gives guarantee to the ico to raise the money through exchange site and it gives more guarantee by got an instant listing through paid little fees. that's why IEO is much preferable but it has started from ICO.

IEO is a new trend in 2019. It helps the project succeed easily and gets a hardcap in a much shorter time than the 2018 ICO. The current ICO is dead because there are so many scammer and since The IEO appeared, investors were safer and more profitable

as an investor I recommend IEO over ICO, because there have been too many scams going on in ICO. maybe because of this too, they prefer to do the IEO. they are afraid investors will not believe if they do ICO. and one of the advantages of the IEO, is that when the tokensale ends, the token can be traded in that market.

Because IEO is related to the exchange market that promises quick profits that make investors more interested but still there is always a risk yesterday that someone found a bad project by not registering a coin on the exchange market not in accordance with the promise given

i think IEO is better than ICO, and in my opinion the risk on IEO is lower than ICO mate,
IEO project will be listed on exchange soon when the IEO ended, but for ICO investors should wait a little bit longer

IEOs ensures listing of the coin on exchanges. Also the exchange which is holding the IEO, in case its renowned exchanges, increase the confidence of investors into the project. I think this is the new criteria people should add into their checklist before investing , to check the exchanges which is holding that IEO.

of course I will choose IEO because the events from 2017 to 2018 have made me disappointed and maybe that also happened to several other investors. because there have been many investors who felt disappointed by many ICO programs throughout the year. most ICO programs only take investor funds but do not do their jobs properly, so that many investors are disadvantaged by it. with the presence of the IEO program now there will be no embezzlement of project funds because the funds go directly to exchangers.

In my opinion, even if I have not participated in ICO's and IEO's that much, I think the main reason that they are using IEO because the idea of starting already within an exchange is already enticing. The fact that you are just going to wait and have your tokens prepared with that. No matter the consequence, you should know what you are doing with your lives.

Don't depend too much on luck, that's the best strategy, honestly. Lol.

First of all you should think about the project itself, IEO does not mean it is successful project, do your own research, if you find the project is not good do not invest even is IEO

because ieo is more guarantee and also ieo become the trend for now, many projects ieo are successful enough to make sales and also the price of ieo lot tokens that experience 2x-10x increases even more just that it applies to ieo held by good exchanger, for ieo organized by bad exchange it is very risky but some are successful.

IEOs have lower risk that are done on bigger exchange like Binance, Exchanges put their reputation behind these projects/IEO, They also get listed just after completion of IEO. ICO have hard time getting listed on exchange and there are so many scams. IMO IEOs have lower risks.

Because they think that exchange will protect them against a scam, but that is not true. Exchanges are only managing the token sale and make a marketing for the advertiser.

IEO projects is directly being offered by exchangers which means you directly buy the coin and its already listed and to be traded on that exchange offering.
unlike on ICO's where they do still need to list up into various exchange which you can directly differentiate when it comes to risk matter.

If we look at the ranking carefully, 99% of the top coins were sold as ICO. But there are very few things that do not develop around us. IEO is also an advanced form of ICO and can be evaluated. Honestly no big difference, but ICO would not always stay the same and when the time comes, IEO will also be replaced with new sale offer.

Almost all the icos are having tough time to raise any good funds nowadays so i think IEOs are the way out for them because the project is labelled as trusted by the exchange as soon as it is listed as ieo secondly traders and investors are already in the exchange with funds so it makes the process simple and easy for them too.

Here one conclusion can be made ieo popular due to the fact that the security level is much higher , and tokens with 100 percent probability will come out , and as for example now it is still possible to earn well.

For many projects, an IEO is a guaranteed receipt of at least some investment, especially if the project conducts its IEO on major exchanges. In this case, the projects are apparently weak if they are afraid to conduct ICO independently.

ICO's are too risky, and ripe with scams. There's little, to almost no protection for investors, so if you don't handle you're do diligence properly, you could be getting robbed, not just from being an investor but as a bounty hunter as well.
   IEO is an Initial Exchange Offering, if binance is a host for launching an ICO, wouldn't you have more confidence that you're funds are in better hands, hence, less risk involved than with a traditional ICO with no accredited institutions backing their fundraising.
   I would be sketchy about all coin offerings, but at least I can be assured of a exchange is involved, you have security on your side (to a degree).

Investors are now more confident with the IEO, at least they put their funds or buy products from a project that has entered the market list. although it does not guarantee the price will grow, at least it fosters trust in investors compared to the ICO, which is not necessarily the developer will continue the project.

There's no exceptions mate, both of the investments whether ico or ieo; risk cannot be avoided. Always bare in mind that new system launched like IEO isn't yet running for year so we should wait for the right time to finally say how risky it is. If a project matures within a specific timeline, and will successfully achieve good results them we're building confidence towards IEO.

That is why most investors find it trustworthy than ICO. There are many scam projects in ICO, therefore it is no-return money for many investors. In the meantime, IEO projects are easy to get the invested amount as fast as possible. All of them are intelligent enough to choose IEO instead of relying on ICO and investing in ICO projects.

They all have their respective advantages and disadvantages. I will personally choose any, particularly if it has what a good project with long term prospect has.

Exchanges do research for you. If they fucked up, they will be FUD by those investors even if the person who invested in it are investors themselves. IEO have less risk for you because projects need to do some legal document stuff in order for them to be called legit and to be accepted by large exchanges. ICO on the other hand doesn't need those because they create lies and people would believe them in this forum anyway.

The reason why projects have migrated from ICO to IEO is that the ICO market is too polluted already. Scams are swarming like flies. And the worse thing is that many of these scams have complete details that they look legit. They can seriously compete in the market with the truly legit ones. In IEOs the investors feel a little safer because they are launched and offered on exchanges. The assumption is that exchanges will not risk themselves being used by scam projects.

Most IEO projects always have a very fast listing time and make it easier for investors to liquidate whenever they want, which is what makes the IEO always attract a lot of whales and investors. I think people always have the choice when they join the IEO because good projects are often listed in leading exchanges and make profit making easier than ICO investment.

That's the big difference, good thing we have IEO which exchange as the 3rd party to do the sale of coins.
ICO format is prone to scamming as there's no 3rd party and not regulated at the same time, maybe soon there are improvements but I'm hoping for the betterment of this market so everyone will enjoy less risk investing. With IEO, I'm hoping it would change the mindset of some people that crypto investing is very risky.

IEO is simply a bit safer and improved version of ICO. the fact that they are under control of crypto exchanges is not a 100% guarantee that you will get your profits. However, the risk here is really not as so high as with ICOs. Choose the projects which belong to the best-trusted platforms, and do not deal with any suspicious stuff. Finally, you will be awarded.

IEO was able to offer the crypto community a slightly safer and more convenient fundraising model. So most of the projects switched to IEO.

IEO is better than ICO in many ways, the best reason is safety. People feel safe in IEO projects than ICO, therefore investors can join happily as they will get the token within a very short time and they know when the token trading will start! But in ICO, no one knows when they will list on the exchange, they can cheat easily. I always prefer reputed exchange for IEO, people should avoid average types of exchange for IEO investment.

Most of the ICO now I just noticed that after their main sale ends they will proceed to IEO, which they extend more time to run again their project which is not good to me as a bounty hunter. These are their style now because they found out that IEO is more priority of the investors and bounty hunters. So for me ICO team or the owner majority of them they are just fooling the community here in the forum. That's why few of the ICO I could say is good and honest.

Now we can look on a better or best exchange which is having IEO.
Then we can take a look of list on their IEO platform which project can be the best!

The little difference in IEO and ICO are the exchange site which acts as an escrow between the project owners and investors for successful investment/transaction but that doesn't guarantee a safe return for the investors.

No, investors can also when token or coin exchange listing will happen cause it usually stated in the project road map and in IEO project owners can also easily cheat if they want either but investors are the one which ought to do their homework in terms of selecting the right project.

IEO often has lower risks than ICO has. I would advise to choose IEO now, but this is not everything you need to count in. ICO's weak point is lack of marketing and problems with exchange listings. IEO being held on a good exchange has more chances to succeed I think.

The most influenced people to pick IEO better than ICO is that IEO has listed their token or coin on a certain exchange. I think the lower risk is IEO, but if only you investing in good exchanges.
