Title: Gollian - A new smart contract platform
Post by: marcroux on August 04, 2019, 05:48:50 PM
Hello I am Marc, an experienced developer and i am starting a side project.

Gollian is a a new smart contract platform that i am planning to develop with a high throughput and low latency based on sharding.
I will publish more details once  I map out its architecture.

Update 1.

I have 3 weeks off and between travelling and late-nights shifts taking care of the newborn i will code the bulk of the work needed for an mvp.

I want to create an open, distributed ledger platform that offers extensibility though privacy-friendly smart contracts. Unlike existing platforms such as Ethereum the newly designed it offers high scalability through sharding
across nodes using a novel distributed atomic commit protocol while offering high auditability. Gollian’s transaction throughput scales linearly with the number of shards by up to 22 transactions per second for each shard added, handling up to 350 transactions per second with 15 shards. As such it offers a competitive alternative to both centralized and permissioned systems, as well as fully peer-to-peer, but unscalable systems like Ethereum

I finally have a raw MVP ready, it s time to gather the community around this and plan a fair launch.

Alright. Where to start? Been following your posts with mild interest, but there wasn't much to say since there wasn't anything to show for it until now. When can we see the raw MVP? How do you want to go about gathering the community?
