The latest CryptoMarketCapitalization drop was surprised us all and most of the altcoins price was also drop deeper, if these trend will continue im afraid that the anticipated Bullrun wont happen in 2019. My million dollar question is whats the cause of these huge drop again in cryptocurrency prices? can these bring any harm to the crypto-market momentum.

This is crypto anything can happen, i believe that the anticipated bullrun can still happen.

Bitcoin is gaining so much dominance that altcoins just get oversold and crushed by big players. I think once btc settles down, the time for altcoins will come and they will more than recover. I also think the bullrun won’t happen very soon. These drops can not be prevented, either the news about the bitcoin dumping ponzi scheme is true, or it is just some news attached to price action without relevance. No clue about the latter, however what I know is that real world usage of blockchains will be the trigger to the bullmarket. Real token usage and value proposition is needed for an blockchain company to profit/grow and take over or atleast get a marketshare in whatever branche.

Because of volatility its hard to know when the price goes up or down and impact this dump is not yet suprises because the chart plus indicator tell we already in a downtrend this is a good opportunity to accumulate more plus the altcoin affected again that create a hard dump.

Many talk about the trade wars of the US and China.Maybe there's some truth to that.A global recession is also expected,which has already begun.Since traditional Finance is closely related to cryptocurrencies,it is possible that this has also become a reason for lower prices.

In all honesty, the drop isn't really surprising anymore. I think we are all used to think for the past years that the market has been acting like that, it's basically a normal thing already for the crypto market.

You don't have to anticipate a bull run, we've just ran far from the bottom since December 2018 up to the current price that we have right now. Aren't we grateful to see such gains?

It could be also because of the stock market dropping and so is the USD.
This cases is normal. An abnormal movement by now is when altcoins are being pumped. It doesnt happen anymore. We are getting deeper and deeper and no up trend.
Bitcoin pumped then altcoins dumped. Bitcoin dumped and so is altcoin. Ergh. It is getting tiresome.

In my case I am not bothered at all. I only just stay put and keep calm in this kind of moments, this happens a lot, not just twi but many. Here in crypto currency an also other businesses there are certain times that you should be stronger that yesterday in order for you to survive. Things happen and including sudden price drops, we may not know what is really the reason behind but we have our courage to be firm and not panic, coz it will just push you sell your coins and I think that's what others or whom ever the people that manipulate or whatsoever wanted you to do.

Yeah it does bother every hodler but i think and hope this will be the last dip before big move up and full recovery towards previous highs and maybe new high will be created for atleast btc, for alts i think we need to wait more.

Same here. If you are holding btc or other famous altcoins with very solid foundation, there's nothing to worry about. What we are experiencing is just a normal market movement. The roller coaster ride in crypto is very common. This is where your opportunity lies. You can join via short-term trading to earn good profits and there's no need to wait for the so-called bull run as you don't know when will it happen.

As an older member in this forum, I am sure you understand that this is not the first time that Bitcoin price dumps so why the panic.
It's not as if the price that dropped is huge or to the extreme. Bitcoin can't be growing at a stretch without no price reduction. The price fluctuation is what makes up this market. There is no call for alarm.

It won't look bothering to me mate. In fact, we started at very low this year, imagine ETH price at below $100 but still, people never give up. Though the current price doesn't look so good but I'll still be looking forward that it will soon to recover in the next quarter. Most of the bull run started late in the 3rd quarter and it maybe we could see it back again.

Bitcoin takes the market dominance, then alts boom (because whales wants to accumulate more BTC), alts pump, then Bitcoin gains dominance again.

When the dominance of BTC is high => Diversify in Altcoins
When the dominance of BTC is low => Go all in BTC (or any stable coins you want)

A huge bitcoin sell of that happened in some exchange sites, this has already confirmed by some news if there was a big scammer has dumped its billion worth of bitcoin in the market. I would say that this is a normal thing that we see every day in this market. And I do hope that you have been in the game already and learn that the market is very unpredictable, pattern change very quick and if everyone think that the price will go South, it will suddenly went on the other direction.

The major causes of huge drop is that there are no demands, no one is buying and instead what we are seeing is that investors are dumping their altcoins. Market bleeding always bring harm to everyone here, it's how you are going to take advantage of this situation that separates a smart investor from a beginner.

Of course as we have waited for the Bullish market to come and we have waited for it for a very long time now since Dec 2017. They say that the current low performance was due to SEC filed an emergency law suit against certain ICO but maybe there are other reasons but we may consider this one. Here is the link

I think the market is correcting a bit before continuing to increase sharply, bitcoin has risen sharply since the lowest bottom of 2018. I think that altcoin is continually being discounted is a normal thing in the annual cycle of the market, altcoin's market capitalization is being sucked into bitcoin as it keeps rising sharply since the beginning of 2019. meanwhile on CMC There are more than 2000 projects, many of which are garbage projects and they need to be purified by the market. I think in 2019 the market will still have strong growth but only for good projects.

The market is getting worse day by say and its because of nothing but manipulation , btc has witness lot of manipulation regard the dump and pump of its activities in some days back as regard the chart and TA which technically show we need some dump to specific area but the recent market has tried all to stop the act coming thru which has also affect the alts market regard it more dump , so I think crypto is getting more insecure to my own understanding in the hands of manipulators.

I don't feel afraid if the price still drops or at a low price like now because the market will be changed and will not like this forever. We could still try to search the profit from the altcoin because I am sure that the altcoin will up and down every day, so we have a chance to make a profit again. Besides that, if we could survive in these situations, I think we will get the opportunity to see the next bull run that might happen in this year or next year. So you need to hold your coins until the bull run comes and buy more amount if you still have money.

I don't think the manipulators behind this huge drop. I really don't know what is the cause of huge drop price of cryptocurrencies, maybe it is just a normal, you know cryptos are volatile.

no its not surprising at all to me but maybe on you because you arent updated on the price charts for a while  . price movements are not bothering at all but what bothers me the most are still those scam projects ? (e.g bounties and airdrops or even some ieo's )   .  the cause of the drops is i think the recent hacking   , add in the manipulation and some sellers are also selling thier coins . this drop does have an impact but it dont totally harm the crypto environment  .

This volatility is just a market correction. When bitcoin grows so fast it needs to be regulated, the market is well aware of the bubble and its harm.
That's why when Bitcoin increases, traders just want to sell off but don't want to hold anymore.
Anyway, this situation will end soon and the alts season will come.

I do not care about the decline. Because this has often happened. When before the high increase occurred in 2017, crypto prices fell as they are today. So don't worry if there isn't an increase this year. because it's still there next year.

You should not be afraid of the current drop in the price of bitcoin, ethereum and other cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has grown very well in price between April and June of this year. However, it cannot grow in price constantly. Moreover, now there is a period of traditional decline in activity on all districts. I believe the current trend where bitcoin is dominating and most altcoins are just dropping in value is not a good sign for the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem. Surprisingly, some people always claim we are in a bull run whenever the price of bitcoin goes up without considering  the depreciating value of most of the altcoins including popular ones like Ethereum.

I started with Cryptos pretty much at the start of the 2014 bear market so right now nothing really suprises me anymore. Back then I never assumed BTC would break $1000 let alone go under $200 briefly.

The 2018 bear market was also a nasty bear market that didn't surprise me really that we managed to go from $20K all the way down to $3K. I honestly was expecting it to go much lower.

The peak in late June 2019 at $13.8K is nothing. We had a small dip and this isn't a bear market. Its summer and there are less and less people trading. Once the volume comes back in Sept/Oct we will see where the markets are headed.

I'm not excited and concern about the next all-time high this year, I'm ok seeing Bitcoin reach to at least $15k this year, it's still a good year-ender for all of us, I hate to see a repeat of what happened in 2018 when it continuously drop, let's just be happy that we are now past the 5 digit mark again

That is absolutely insane growth.

In a supply and demand market, there will always be price corrections.
If I were you, I would seriously stop waiting and worrying and start to participate and take advantage of all of the money that can be made.

the market is in a bad state. This situation can be manipulated by whales who want a lower BTC price with a higher BTC dominance. As a small player I can only wait until things get better and choose not to trade altcoin and only focus on bitcoin and FIAT or stable coin.

Crypto trading I think is very difficult to predict. A very sharp price drop can occur at any time. Of course, we must always be active to observe the crypto market movements. Altcoins lost the value following the BTC and ETH, the market is connected deeply with tight specialities. Crypto prices are subject to the seasonal price change which don't be accepted by the amateur market traders. Every action on the market has the consequences, wise traders already bought another bag of cheap,small market cap coins. After the current market cycle, a new cycle will bring a fresh outlook on the altcoins in my judgment.

What's new? We have experienced this before, right? Having a longest bear market last year, bitcoin and most altcoins dropped heavily for so many months but we stil managed to wait. So, why bother now? If we can still patiently hold longer, there is nothing to worry about. Crypto market's concept is volatility, so expect some red days like these. Recovering days will also arrive soon. Be optimistic that altcoins will gonna pump.

Not at all, because I know that market runs in cycles. If there is a price drop at the moment, it is a perfect opportunity to fill your bags with tokens for a cheap price. Buy now, and wait patiently for the market to recover its price.

No I'm not bothered because it is normal. All we know that crypto price is always fast moving. There are times that it will fall too much and time will also come that it will rise again. We don't have to bother when crypto price will drop. On the other hand make it an advantage to buy and stock your crypto that you can use in trading or you can sell when the price will already rise again.

People should not be bothered at all, Bitcoin at $10,700 we are in a better position than we are 8 months ago at $3700 that's a big leap if you are a buying big time at that level, but if you are just buying right now you have the right to be bothered, these apply to all altcoins I'm just giving example on Bitcoin's performance in the last 8 months.

To.my own understanding at the current state of the market is see no much bull coming this early as btc has dominate 70% of the cap market which is not normal at this very stage and need to create chance for alts before we can expect more run , but that has made it stagnant too and in hand of forceove like manipulation every where but alts look more dump base on the chart .

I agree, we don't need to panic because the price of bitcoin is still above $ 10k. Bitcoin affects the price of cryptocurrency and as long as the coins we hold are coins with good projects, I think we need to be disturbed by price movements

I am actually not much surprised about the price drop of cryptocurrency, and prior to now, I never expected the cryptocurrency to have come out of the bear market yet because it was just barely 2 years that we had a bull run, but I was surprised to have seen the one of bitcoin appear that early and the moment I saw it, I knew it was going to be a bad moment for the altcoins based on history.

Most times that bitcoin usually dominate the market, that is when most altcoins do decline further in price because people tend to move their altcoins into bitcoin for the main time without investing more, but if bitcoin can go sideways anytime soon, I am sure that altcoins will follow the uptrend too, so we just need a little bit of patience with the altcoins that have real use case.

I'm not really that bothered at all. The market is so volatile and that's what makes crypto unique and fun. Making real strategic partnerships and not just bogus promises are what's gonna boost projects forward. BTC stood strong in the 10k mark and its great to see it getting near $11k again.

I am fine to see the latest cryptocurrency price drop, and I don't have to worry with that. Although I think I get a little afraid to know, the bitcoin price drops too deep in a few months ago. But fortunately, the bitcoin price started to increase, and now, I am happy to know the price is to stay at $10k. I am sure that soon, the bitcoin price will increase more than now and that will make all of us happy too because we can make a bigger profit.

I read one article it's because of one Ponzi scheme, dumping their Bitcoin, and there's a possibility that whales will sell their profit or correction, but whatever the reasons are, we are still ok, we are still in a better position, I don't think dump will cause a collapse of Cryptocurrency, we have been here not only 100 times but over 300 times.

Drop what? I still see it as a promising growth since 2013   ;D not bad to bought some ... back in january 2013 hmm? But if you mean by looking at the last 3 months started from june then yes several times the market goes down and having a flash drop testing the support level at $7.4k and now it seems at $9k or so.

Since early 2019 there bunch of top trader warn and predict that at the mid of 2019 bitcoin price might plunge to even as low as $5k / $2k , thank lord ... it didn't happened that hard.
