Title: [Overview] Exchanges, IEOs and their ROIs
Post by: aundroid on August 16, 2019, 08:15:32 PM
Since I've always wanted to know how the IEOs perform on the different exchanges, I' ve now started to create an overview.

The IEOs on each exchange are sorted by date.

Exchanges like LaToken, Exmarkets, Probit and P2PB2B were deliberately omitted!

New IEOs (and Exchanges) will be added on a regular basis. (see Changelog)

This may help us identify the moment when the performance of the IEOs on a specific exchange starts to decline.

Nice posts, this will atleast change the mind of many who still think that IEO is not performing good enough,i wonder what more can a investor wish for with the nice ROI results from exchanges like binance,gate.io and huobi among the rest, even kucoin and okex are doing great as well,IEO is what ICO should have been in a long time

This makes me even more sure that we all should participate only on trusted exchanges with great trading volume and big amount of coins. Just look at Bitforex IEOs and you will understand that it is much easier to take part in one IEO on Binance or Huobi rather than to take in several on exchanges like Bitforex.

Very unique post, it shows clearly that most standard exchanges have been performing well with IEO. Personally I didn't really know Bittrex has some successful IEOs after the saga from the very first, of which I lost interest in their IEOs. Also from your records, SERO's IEO done on gate.io has the highest ROI ever. I had more interest on Binance IEOs since that's always the talk of crypto space but with this, it's crystal clear that there are other exchanges with decent IEO performance. I observed Bitfinex which newly joined the IEO craze is missing from your list, consider adding its data when need be.

Everyone should remember that most of these coins that started new got funded, which means they have enough money to keep it alive for a while, if there is too much pressure and everyone is selling than there is not much they can do and it will drop (as you can see many of them already dropped, only a few actually made a decent return) but the ones that are close to break even point might have been because they have been kept alive by the team itself with the funding they got.

There are a ton of shady stuff going on in IEO world that regular people do not know, I have been involved with many because of what I do and I can tell you that most of the prices are fabricated with small pushes and pump/dumps and as soon as even a small 1 btc sell happens they get destroyed.

Good work by the OP and the initiative is just laudable. It is just good that exchanges like probit , Exmarkeys and co were omitted. There have been many IEOs on those exchanges without any significant impact although there were serious buzz created on those projects.

Latoken is really a joke. No wonder many scam project dev patronized them. They do not delist dead projects and they have been alleged to be faking trading volume. They are big for nothing. Funny thing, they have started building a DEX platform. I think they are deliberately copying binance style  ;D instead of rebranding the platform. These collections of exchange that offer IEO will help some new project to make good decision and safe them from the risk of getting listed in joke exchange platform.

Wow, you really deserve and award to have been able to compute this successfully, from this statistic of yours, we can even see that IEO is still very low and this is why we are not seeing bull run that much, it can never be compared to the number of ICO that was release in 2017 that increased the value of the market cap generally.

Now that ICO has failed, we really need a lot of IEO to be released now that investors are still much trusting IEO so that the market cap can grow the more, otherwise, we may not see bull run for the market generally. We need some real solid fundamentals that will help us grow from the currency 300 billion dollars back to 800 billion dollar and above. I understand that most IEO platform would do their due diligence first, but projects need to start getting established.

Quite impressive though I do not think this is exhaustive as I have more IEO's in these exchanges that never made good ROI's too. Binance still tops the list as the most successful platform to buy IEO

It looks like there was a lot of IEO that ran in those exchange sites are not yet getting listed in your list. Just a suggestion for you, you can take more info from icodrop and then we will find whole IEO list and you can make a complete list of IEO.
X-block was running IEO on bibox but it's not yet getting listed.

Considering the amount of IEOs, it can happen that I forget or overlook a project.

Both projects have performed quite well with 2x - 3x.

And remember that as of tomorrow, tickets for Perlin (Binance) can be claimed.  ;)

Most of the IEOs you have listed have been profitable. Especially IEOs that have been conducted by top exchanges like Binance, Kucoin, OKEX and Huobi.
The condition of the market should be also considered. We see the ROI(ATH) is much higher than current ROI. Altcoins are falling and these could be much profitable if the market condition was better. We see IEOs can be much better than ICOs.
I think the problem is untrustworthy exchanges that list and conduct many IEOs. I mean Latoken, Exmarkets, Coineal, etc.

nice topic,i hope some new investors will consider using popular exchanges like your lists, all the exchanges on your list are safe exchanges for IEO investment and they are all good exchanges with good past IEO success histories, if newbies start using these exchanges instead of new exchanges there will be limit to IEO exchange scams

I never joined Coinbene IEO, seems interesting to join and their ROI is quite insane  :o
I see their rules quite easy and everyone can join because is only require a small amount to eligible buying the tokens

No lottery and is FCFS only also Scripts and automation are not allowed on their IEO program, time to register  ;D

Honestly I have never bought or participated in buying IEO tokens, I would choose to buy an IEO token at Binance because now it is more trusted and feels safe and comfortable with the exchange.

That's why I didn't include those exchanges in my overview.  ;)

That's my plan.
Let's see if we can spot a trend. At the moment the IEOs on the shown exchanges are all still quite profitable.

It can easily be deduced that Bgogo and gate are huge exchanges when it comes to fund raising for cryptocurrency startups with an average to tremendous return on investment for its its community especially in the case of gate exchange. I will look out to invest in these two exchange upcoming IEOs next instead of the popular Okex and Binance with an average return

In the changelog you can always check at which time I added an IEO to the overview.
Apparently Tokoin performed very well later on.

Of course the ROIs can change daily. It might be a good idea to let a little more time pass until I add an IEO to the overview.

By the way, congratulations on your participation.  :)

I updated the ROIs for Tokoin! (see changelog)

Would be nice to see , as additional info, the name of each exchange's IEO and link to. For info completeness.

What you mean? There is lot of exchange and token/coin on OP. Are you sure you read OP not just read a title? OP already mention with clickable link and how much ROI of coin/tokens.

What I meant is would be nice to have in this thread, beside just names of exchanges, name of IEO project provided by each of this exchanges. For example: Binance - Launchpad(link), Kucoin - Spotlight(link), Okex - Jumpstart(link), etc. Find out that some IEO's names and links to not so easy to find, thats why such suggestion. Thats basically all what I meant.

Let's see how long the IEO hype will last.
Huobi has even delivered his best performance ever with Whole Network.

Binance is the only one to provide consistent profitable ROI with the tokens in it's launchpad. Even though the exchange has no direct influence on the prices, it signifies the mentality of the investors and their trust on Binance. Let's see how long Binnace would be able to maintain it. The ticket claiming period for BAND token is about to finish in a few hours from now.

Great effort OP! I just want to ask, how comprehensive the list is? When I went over each one of them I was extremely surprised that not a single IEO has a negative ROI. Am I seeing it right? That is really astonishing considering that the altcoins have been at the receiving end of Bitcoin's rise in the past few months. Or does the list comprise only of a little percentage of the total number of IEOs conducted?

I'm not quite sure what you mean.
The list should contain all IEOs of the named exchanges.
Of course, there are many more exchanges that hold IEOs.

I think you're reading the ROIs wrong.
For example, look at the IEOs on bitforex.
A ROI of 1x means you can sell your tokens for the same price you bought them.
A ROI of 0.5x means that the tokens have lost 50% of the initial price, thus your ROI is negative.

Yes, thank you OP, I know most people already know the origins of IEO but it is nice to see also how it looks on various exchanges,,, but I have to add here that the IEOs I followed did not make money.

I am talking mainly about 3 Bittrex IEOs, one I ALMOST got into and was so thankful I did because it got dumped on the IEO day (can you imagine).

Check it out yourself. They did not make money after the first few!

Maybe because the transaction volume in Binance is bigger than other exchangers, so prices can go higher. I think the upcoming launchpad, Band Protocol, will also bring huge profits for its investors

That's expected, that's why people are preparing for this, but I'm happy to see that OP is updating the thread and I've seen that not only Binance are making investors profitable but other exchanges as well. It's just that Binance are more popular since they are also the most popular exchange for now, but based on the list in OP, Binance is not the most profitable exchange that host an IEO.

I'm amaze how big the return of this IEO.

That's right! I must have been thinking of % while looking at x. My eyes are used to the % in CMC in terms of ROI.

Anyway, based on your data, only 1 out of 4 IEOs launched in Bittrex made a positive ROI and yet the platform appears to be on top in a few rankings. While the project itself counts above anything else in terms of their future success, the data seem to show that the platform has a lot of influence as well. I am taking a look at Huobi which has made 6 positive ROIs out 7, or OKEX which has 7 out of 8.

By the way, why are IDAX and Coineal not included in your list?

Yea, IEOs on Bittrex have been atrocious so far, I cant believe projects keep falling for it, I guess they are super desperate for a listing and they dont care about the short/mid term price action.

To my knowledge IDAX had exactly 1 IEO so far and that was Blabber.
Quite a lot of shady stuff was going on there:

And Coineal is just a complete shitshow, comparable with Probit and p2pb2b.

IEO on Binance going worse since WINK and PERLIN have done, if BAND makes people disappointed again I'm pretty sure most of the people will leave Binance IEO.
Anyway, I already participate in BAND Lottery and then I'm LOSE...  :'(

Have 3 tickets and got nothing...

Annnnnnd it was a bust (Band). But I doubt that this huge mountain of people will give up and pass the next Binance IEO, it is just too tempting as profit is almost guaranteed, even if its just 30 or 40% and not 8x as in the past.

Who compiled the list that the op posted, is it not humans? And have you not heard of projects using fake volumes just to attract people either by IEO or ICO. That list that I am looking at there, there is no way that the exchanges that created their own IEO list will not be biased about it, because they will not want to be seen as people who does not know how to conduct their own IEO, I have seen many people join some IEO which is failing lots of its investors right now because they are also being used as pump and dump coin, some of them has even been participated by my friends, so where are those ones. The only one I think that I can rely on their report right now is binance which we can all see ourselves how their IEO has been much successful IEO.

This is a superb overview. I always knew the IEO in line with trustworthy exchanges is the best to invest in. And I'm sure it will take a very long time for scammers to get a manipulative way into IEO if not forever.

Thanks for updating this thread continuously and I am glad that you ignored shitty exchange's IEOs! You may add Binance latest IEO information, which was the Band Protocol, the worst IEO by Binance. To me, Gateio exchange is the winner here!

Of course the BAND IEO wasn't a great performer.
But as long as you make 150$ per winning ticket profit, the people (including myself  ;)) will continue to participate.

Looks like the IEOs on Binance deliver a constant ROI of ~1.8x.
Unfortunately I had no winning ticket this time.

Moozicore was however by far the worst performer on the Coinbene Moonbase to date.

After quite some time I added another IEO today, this time it was on OKEx.
Meanwhile it is getting a lot quieter around IEOs, on some exchanges the last IEOs happened months ago.

OKEx and Binance actually deliver constant ROIs from ~2x upwards. ROAD now even better with 3.6x.

This is very impressive.  I know that ieos lately haven't been a very good investment opportunity as most tend to dump shortly after listing but the overall data is impressive. I was of the opinion that only Binance was the platform with a good ROI history in terms of IEOs but Gate and Okex have an even more convincing record with regards to consistency of profits!

Would be interesting to see if there were IEO/projects do have that -ROI(negative) .  :-*

Everything less than 1x is a negative ROI.  ;)
0.5x means that your initial investment is now only worth half as much.
At 0.0x your investment wouldn't be worth anything anymore.

After a longer break, I updated the IEOs again.

Remember that the ROI [USD] always refers to the day I added the respective project.
And ROI ATH should be self-explanatory.

Below is everything I have added today:
>> Update (see changelog): Kucoin: LUKSO, BNS Token; Binance: The Sandbos; Bitmax: xDai Chain, Swingby, Serum; Gate.io: Ally, Kardiachain, Meter Governance

>> Update (see changelog): Binance: Alpha Finance Lab, Injective Protocol, Axie Infinity

Hope some of you made some nice profits, I unfortunately did not have a winning ticket at any of the IEOs.

I think we have a new record here. TimeCoinProtocol with an ATH ROI of 83x and a current ROI of still 20x  :o
