Title: (BAN) question on Rogkim1
Post by: Rogkim12 on August 22, 2019, 10:05:03 PM
For a while I did not go to the forum. Today I went in and saw that I got a permanent ban.
Tell me why this happened. Could this be a mistake?

Did you plagiarize any content? That is, did you copy & paste other users' posts either without any changes or with small alterations just to rack your post count?

I did not copy other people's posts. Therefore, the ban for me was a surprise.

Can I see the evidence somewhere?

My apologies if my answer might sound so generic, but i believe firmly that there is no better way to address your question but to be relatively honest.

If you were banned due to plagiarism then there might be some report against the post by any account in the report thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg49592638#msg49592638

Or the account might have violated any of the forum rule:

Please go through the above shared links. The first link will teach you dont's from others mistake and second link will brief you on the rules.

@suchmoon loved the way you got the exact mistake. Can you please tell how did you get there.

I answered a person a question and made a mistake in quoting. Look at the meaning of the topic and my response to the post of man.
Am I really stupid enough to post copied text almost immediately?

So you expect us to believe that you hit the quote button, removed the quote tags, and then added your content in a perfectly formatted sentence... by accident?

Isn't it much more likely that you just copied/pasted the content and added onto it thinking it wouldn't make a huge difference.

I'd say, this isn't a huge/crazy offense, but it is plagiarism nonetheless.

I believe coincidence happen overtime, but occurring the statement exactly as everything (comma, spacing, letter) is not possible, a letter --just one letter could be different if you made the statement yourself.

As I read your post, please don't tell that everything here is easy, it's hard to take risks while you are here and as I read your previous posts your saying 'it's easy peasy here'.

One plagiarism can end one of your account, so if your sorry just start over again.

He said he misquoted but I don't see why he would even quote him, that post was kind of nonsensical.

FYI, ban evasion is a bannable offense.

I think there is a "Preview" button. You can use it first before posting it ;). Anyway a ban because of plagiarism is like "end of your world".

So we can assume that you already know the forum rules that plagiarism is prohibited and could lead you to ban? If it's that so, then why haven't examine your post at the beginning if it has an error or not before just leaving it because you've answer what you've said so. You can appeal on your ban and let a global mod or admin decide upon your case.

English is not my native language. I know him, but in order not to miss a single thought, before replying I copy a person’s message and translate it into a translator. Next, I write the answer and copy everything into the message. For some reason, I forgot to insert citation tags.

I understand that it’s easier for you to believe in the guilt of a person. However, think about why I should copy and give out as my message a message that is not very unique and consists of one sentence. And besides, insert the same message immediately into the same topic.

---------------------------

I look in this thread everyone thinks that such a mistake is impossible. I would like to hope that you will never make a mistake in quoting and will not fall into my position.

Thanks to everyone who helped me find out the reason for my ban.

The post you were "quoting" didn't make much sense and your "reply" didn't answer anything. Having said that, you can appeal by sending an e-mail to the address shown in your ban message. You should probably lock this thread since your question has been answered and there is not much else anybody can help you with.
