Title: Announce our Home Blockchain Computer. What subforum?
Post by: DaveITN on August 23, 2019, 02:49:13 AM
Hi bitcointalk members.

We have developed a "Blockchain Computer" storage mining and content mining device. It's basically a device that allows you to upload videos and files and turn them in to assets/tokens that can be traded and also you can make money from sharing your storage/bandwidth. we want to announce it to the industry,  which is the best place on the forum to start a thread about it?

Altcoin announcements?  Token announcements?  mining hardware? marketplace?

Our POC uses the ethereum mainnet and our own swarm ipfs.  but eventually it will have its own chain.

Which category would this fit in to?

You are selling something, marketplace is the perfect to post.

not selling anything because the product is not released yet.  It's part of a much larger project which will be issuing a new public blockchain.

Also its a piece of mining hardware it currently mines ETH by sharing storage and media micropayments, there is no altcoin mining hardware section.

so not only is it a physical hardware device, its a miner, its a coin, its a decentralized storage device.

maybe I should announce the hardware in the mining hardware section

Announce the network in the altcoin announcements section?

You can also pay for the Copper Member upgrade, which lets you post images right away: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Or just put your image links directly. They won't be "rendered/embed" in the post, but people will be able to click on them to see what is it about.

If you are a copper member, you just get copper member and thats it. I want to be able to grow my account up to full member and eventually legendary like yourself. If you are a copper member can you rise above copper to become senior or hero?

Of course you will be able to further rank up.
The copper membership is used to post images and reduce action delays which you have as a newbie.

You can read about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104)

Hi bitcointalk members.

We have developed a "Blockchain Computer" storage mining and content mining device.

Interesting.  A Raspberry Pi attached to a massive hard drive?  What kind of content delivery system are you going to use, torrents?  Will people have to buy outright, or even subscribe to the service to pay for the hardware?  How do you intend to market this system?

Good luck with your project.   Just remember, if you are part of this "board of directors" or even if it's just you, we will not be impressed that you have an entire group of people just to approve your $20 purchase.  Be honest, open and transparent to the community and remember not to spam.  :)

Since you are offering some service , best place to post it first is Service Announcements category:

you can simply pay small fee to become copper member and post images,
or be more active to reach Junior Member rank with activity and merit,
or third solution is to pay someone else to create and manage topic for you.

copper pay:
