Title: Weird bitcoin art propaganda
Post by: OKEAH on August 24, 2019, 09:19:25 AM
My samples are weird bitcoin propaganda.
As a bitcoin enthusiast, I believe in a bright and joyful future for everyone.
But in order to defeat the old deceitful and rotten economic system, you need to carry knowledge about bitcoin to people.
This is what I do in such a strange way.

Nice! There are a lot of people out there making art about Bitcoin but most of them are usually collages and memes, including me that is so embarrassing to talk about. Hope you continue to make more of this and keep this thread updated. Might use some of your pictures in the future so, yeah, can I use some of them? I will not use them right now, it is just that I might use them in the future and I am requesting for your authorization in advance.

Coll work of art :o. I hope you continue making posters with deeper meanings and also relevant to the current happenings in crypto world as much as possible.

But I warn you mate, sensitive Catholics out there might get triggered and bash you afterwards because you used His name in humorous manner. They might misinterpret it. I'm not scaring you, I'm just telling the possible things to happen :). Nonetheless, great job and keep it up!

Same thoughts, specially the Jesus portrait.  :). But hey, this is an expression so everyone should take it lightly. I mean the guy has a talent and I like the way he expressive himself thru his art specially with bitcoin involved in the middle. And I've also seen lots of arts about bitcoin though, it could be the next trend specially when we hit another all time high. Keep up the good work man!!!

Propaganda

information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view.

Is this really how you want to promote crypto.
It isn't propaganda if it is the truth.

I think people should steer clear of all the religious themed cartoons, where they mock people's religion, because it adds no value to gain people's support for Bitcoin. Christianity has the most followers (2.3 billion followers) and to mock their religion would be the wrong approach to gains people's favor for Bitcoin.  ::)

I am all for cartoons and propaganda that are directed at Banks and corrupt governments, but I think it is a mistake to alienate religious people with cartoons that mock their beliefs.  :P

I like your concept, but I think you should have just used other things to represent this rather than using Our Lord Jesus Christ, this is exactly what Islam would not take, representing their God with something like this, but we see ourselves abusing the grace that the Lord Jesus has given us, it would have been more interesting if you had used other images to depict your point.

Anyway, may God forgive you and don’t take your crypto way from you lol. So stay off this, so that you can enjoy your cryptocurrency when it eventually becomes mature as you said, because their nothing the banks and government can do to break this crypto holy curse that is going round the earth and will eventually get to probably take over the whole continent as the only currency.

True, I stoped on the second part. After the game became in 3D, I've lost interest to it.

I have found a kindred spirit! I don't know if you know of Disciples (where my avatar comes from) but the exact same thing happened. It became 3D and I lost interest completely!

I don't knock any art style that I don't like or cannot appreciate but I think there is so much depth to 2D that a thousand views just cannot exhaust.

Great art, and great introductory word: Bankster (as opposed to banker;) )!

have you tried submitting your artworks on a newspaper or magazine or online crypto websites? you can earn crypto by doing so. and who knows, someone might be using your works already...
but as others have suggested, try to deviate your work from religious aspect as some might get offended. instead of patronizing crypto, new users might get negative notion upon seeing those satirical arts.

Is corel draw still relevant for artists?
I am no artist but I had DTP as one of my minor credits in college and that was eons ago. I remember corel being very hard to use. Or maybe it was just my silly ass that was not used to the software. I thought it was some weird unknown software that only colleges and universities used. Surprised to see it mentioned by you here.

The designs clearly explains the works written beside it.  Interesting works of art, the artiste is really creative and meticulous. How I wish I can make beautiful designs like this which clearly make sense to the ordinary individual since such works of creation is very useful to many individuals who are new to cryptocurrencies.

Although this is better than spreading FUD but i don't like the using of religion concept just to make Bitcoin famous. What if they will get mad because of your art that instead of investing they will just hate Bitcoin for this because of disrespect or loyalty to their faith? I'm afraid we might lose some important potential religious investors because of this therefore better if you will use the anime only as i don't think that someone will sue you due to copyright.

agree, with the work that you have, you might be able to join one of the crypto websites, especially if it's related to crypto. I really like the work, however, I also see a lot of propaganda like this, even some news also have the same problem with bitcoin.

maybe things like this can enhance creativity about crypto art combined with crypto news about propaganda, or related to it  :D

It isn't propaganda if it is the truth.

as much as I hate it. it is a propaganda since he is only showing a selective truth about the subject. unless he shows everything
and not just a part of it.

I am very respectful to believers.  I'm a Christian
CryptoJesus has nothing to do with traditional religions and in no way am I trying to insult or offend anyone's feelings.
CryptoJesus is simply a symbol of my faith in the Cryptoworld and its values. He personifies all that is bright, good and fair, which should be in an ideal world. Therefore, treat this character without any connection with any traditional religions.

Not to hijack OKEAH's thread, but yes, especially in the direct-to-print world. I think people forget about it because Adobe Illustrator is seen more often due to Adobe's own prevalence.
When I used to do work in-house for print shops, many of them used Corel Draw due to a matter of personal taste. The learning curve is a lot less steep than Illustrator and there's less bloat which can mean faster production and able to work on lower-spec machines, if they must.
I'm an Illustrator person, myself; but Corel Draw has a place in my heart.

Definitely change your thread to collectibles where the actual art people are -- it's the feedback from those guys you want;)

@undergroundartpal I've come across more and more people now, especially hobbyists/amateurs who are using just so many different software now, and even drawing apps on mobile and tablet (I know, they're frowned upon but well, that's what people are using now!) so that's really nice to see too!

Yes, on the one hand, any propaganda of bitcoin and the crypto sphere in general is good. But on the other hand, this propaganda should be understandable for people who will see it somewhere. Now everyone knows about Bitcoin, and therefore it is important not to tell people about the existence of Bitcoin, but about its potential, prospects and other benefits for each person and for society as a whole.

I gave you a merit because this is wonderful artwork actually and you have quite a talent. I can see some people going to Stapes or Office Depot and getting these printed in large poster size and hanging it around their office, I actually might eventually do it.

I think the reason why he used the word propaganda is to describe the type of artwork he is trying to achieve. These posters are very similiar to the ones that the army used to post during the war, they had a similar theme and symbols. The actual use of the definiation of the word is not what he is trying to say. So whether its propaganda or not, its just a form of artwork.

Keep up the great work...

Can we just take a break from religion or propaganda and just appreciate this quality effort and skill the OP has put into his posts. What we need is more adoption, awareness, individual skills etc. whatever one can do to spread information to people about bitcoin, in whatever way that's not a crime, to me it's acceptable and should be done.

Op, your artworks are very good and what it portrays actually leaves a mark in the mind of its viewers, keep making quality artworks that talk about the bitcoin, who knows soon they may end up in large billboards which would make things more interesting.

Since I saw mention of someone taking these and making prints, it might not be a bad idea to sell high resolution files of your work.

Also look into getting wall scrolls made? These are really sharp and vivid, so I think they'd turn out well. If you decide to give that route a test run, I can send you a contact.

Hey! Please don't used the name of Jesus in crypto. This is not a joke nor funny. Respect the name of Jesus  don't involved it in crypto because crypto is just a source of money and not a Saviour.
I agree with your opinion that you cannot compare Bitcoin with Jesus.  But with regard to "salvation," one can also rant.  The fact is that a wave of poverty and poverty is growing in the world and for many today's users of cryptocurrencies, it was Bitcoin that became the opportunity to become financially independent, which they had dreamed about all their life.  I understand one who has always experienced financial difficulties in providing for his family.
