first of all, good evening. I Bought the Miner S9i 14TH/S. I noticed that one of the hashboard is not activating. The red light does not even come on from the first plate in detail, indicating that the plast is not working. Any suggestions if this could be Factory or configuration issue ? Thank you in advance. Post by: BitMaxz on August 26, 2019, 10:32:28 PM Try to check the 18pin cable replace it with the other working 18pin cable from other hashboard then check the power supply you can use the 3 12v from the other hashboard and put it to 3rd hashboard(No light) and test it again let's see if it would work.
If still doesn't work post your kernel logs here. You can find the kernel logs under system tab then kernel logs copy them all and post it here as a code or paste it to pastebin.com and paste the URL here. Any suggestions if this could be Factory or configuration issue ? You could try plugging only that board. Then keep switching data and power cables, with only that board plugged in. If it never comes up, i think you should contact Bitmain for warranty. Of course don't just observe the light but look at its web mining status page to see if it comes online or not... The absence of the red led light on the hash board does not mean the hash board not working, I have seen a few boards work perfectly without blinking, this may be due to a faulty led or any other explanation that is beyond my understanding. The only way to tell for certain would be through the the miner GUI , you need to post the kernel log here to get accurate answers, if the hash board is mining but not blinking then you should not worry about it. |
