Title: Is it worth for me in my situation to start btc trading?
Post by: 1R1S on August 29, 2019, 06:38:23 PM
Hello

I have spare $300 that my friend suggested to use to start cryptotrading, as this is the maximum amount of money affordable to lose. I have a month of free time to trade with btc. Currently I don't have income and I have three ways to set it: cryptotrading, freelancing as programmer, or full-time job. I chose to expirement and try luck with trading and freelancing, if there is no success with any for september, I will choose full-time job. If I can make about $500 per month with all of these methods or some of them, I can forget about job for a while, which is highly preferrable.

So my questions are:
  • Can I learn and do trading for month to make at least some money(around $100-$250), while doing freelance programming? I can arrange 3-5 hours for each activity per day.
  • Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange? I tried bisq to sell btc, but it seems like there you can do it with rather huge amounts of money I can't afford to make offer with. This is because of security deposit of 50% of trade amount. Maximum offer amount I can make is 150$ whereas there are more offers which range $100-$1000. They also seem more profitable for btc buyers due to less interest, than that I chose. After scrolling thorugh bitcointalk, my only options left for OTC are localbitcoins and paxful. And I don't really like any of these because of shitty customer support on both. Moreover LBC nowadays has attitude to KYC everyone, I don't like it because I would keep my personal information than send it to someone

Yes, you can. You are the one who knows how to manage your time better than us so I think you can work on both. Just don't set target profits as it might give you expectations.

Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange?

Trade on a trading platform e.g Binance. That's where you can see a real trading action.

No need to undergo KYC here since you hate it. No shitty support here since you hate it. However, like in any reputable exchanges around, we can't take away the risks of placing funds here. But for now, we are minimizing the risk so stick with the reputable one.

Yes, you really need to undergo some test and not just a plan to see if it's effective in the long run.

However, earning in trading is not on a regular basis. You can't just expect that wind will always head to the way you want. There are chances that you will have no income for the month of September but you will have a decent one in the following months. As I said above, don't set a given period where it's necessary to earn. It's not how trading should be. It might wreck your strategy if you keep on targeting fixed earnings on a monthly basis. Focus on maintaining winnings instead.

Not necessarily need for you to put up the maximum amount $300 on start up.

If you are a complete newbie; If yes then start up the basics- I suggest babypips.com
Then try up some amounts on Binance not necessarily shoot up all of your intended capital since you can trade with smaller positions.

Regarding on your question; you can possibly make $100-200 out of 300 but this will really need some intensive scalping method and more on short trades
and these methods of trading cant be learned overnight.

It's especially important not to set targets for yourself if you're starting out trading IMO- you're just putting too much stress on yourself and that doesn't typically work out too well if you don't know very much. Read up on relevant trading material as much as you can every day, and then use your money to apply what you've learned. There's plenty of info out there for you to read up on, and you don't need to get your information from any one source. Here's a link (https://medium.com/@cryptocreddy) to one of my favorite Medium authors.

I would also strongly suggest you start trading on a regular trading site like Binance or GDAX or perhaps KuCoin as well. Those are just a few exchanges that a lot of people use, and they should be good enough for you. I would suggest staying away from leverage until you become more experienced at trading, as leverage is a double-edged sword that can empty your account in just a few trades.

Have you felt that you are ready for the risk that you might experience in the coming days? Or are capable of doing it? If you are all set, then you can start it now. Cause it is not all about money, small or huge capital...its all about our preparation. See to it that we are willing to risk and not just stepping it back once we struggle difficulties cause it never meant to be as a trader and definitely you can't find success with that.

I want you to know that trading cryptocurrency is not easy as you imagine but if you feel you are ready to take step for becoming a trader yes you can make a profit in a short period of time but in other side you can lose money by short period of time.
You need to take experience to tell if you can make a money by doing trading.

I started with just $150 but it took me quite sometime before I get the hang on trading Crypto Currencies. At one point 1 almost lost that $150 and have to start over again but in trading if you give up that easy then trading is not for you. Its continuous learning process if you ask me. Not all trades are the same. Try to keep a journal of your mistakes lie what should have done and what you should have not.  3-5 hours is juts enough to trade but if you will be offline and you still have a coin that you feel needs your attention, try to place a stop loss order.

SELLING MY PATEK PHILLIPE NAUTILUS 5726 white dial, box and papers.Accept any cryptos.Good investment.
This is not for this thread, take it to the Marketplace section. Or better still go the Beginner section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0 to know how things work in the forum.

OP, truth is Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading is not for every one. Its a good thing you want to learn before it before jumping into it unlike some traders.
Be aware and be ready to forgo that $300 as anything can happen.
Know that income can come at times and sometimes you lose more besides I think $300 is a small amount that can't give you $500 per month. Truth is you may not make up to that per month or else if the market moves in a positive direction.

I think with $300 i will prefer on Bitcoin-altcoin trading, beside we can use small capital on it, usually exchanges that allow trade between bitcoin and altcoin not really strict and maybe KYC will only to increase limit withdrawal. And in altcoin trading, you can see movement price that you can put what is fit with your style. Like to day trading or maybe long term investment. That is at least what i will do with my $300 free money. And if lose, i will pick on full time job. Wouldn't dare to left my job and focus on trading only because we can't know when trading will on bad condition.

I will be very realistic with you, you can learn how to trade, but don't expect that you will trade with $300 and you will make a profit of $100 to $250 per month . It may be 30 days, and you only have a profit of  $30 or even no profit at all.

look at the current price for example:

The price is at $9500, so you buy thinking that the price is too low and tomorrow the price drops to $ 8500. you will have to wait for the price to rise again to sell.

I advise you to buy and Hold for 1 year or more years

It is enough but don't expect too much.

Bitcoin is volatile, and I am telling you, it is hard to cope with it. Minutes after you invest, there might be a decrease so it is better if you just hold it for some time. Be patient since you are dealing with the most volatile cryptocurrency in the market.

I think you should only focus on one job if you want to be rich in the future. In the crypto market, you will hear someone making hundreds of thousands of dollars in just a few days. but you don't know that behind the truth, there are thousands of people who lose money, even lose everything because of the small loophole.
Here, there are many big risks that you need to be aware of.
Please determine whether you are ready to face the pressures yet, you have prepared sufficient knowledge yet.
If you were good at the above questions, I wish you luck ;)

Start/ setting up your own business is always risky ... that's what always happened in a business world .. if you looking for a safe one then you should go for a full time job that gives you a steady flat income. At this point you should know the risk to become a full time freelancer & trader.

I personally have a principle like this 'i don't work for other people, i work for myself' so here i am building my own startup. You might won't get a steady $100 , $300 or $1,000 income ... but you'll never know someday you might get thousands dollar weekly !

That's a business life, it's okay for you to failed 100 times and having a huge loss! you just need to be successful once and you'll eliminated your previous 100 times fails &  losses.

But once again , you should know the risk and willing to take that risk, otherwise you have to be realistic and living a normal life like everyone else. Cheers!

If you only have one month, I'd advise you only play with smaller amount to see how it goes.
Or buy 300$ worth of Bitcoin, hold some and trade with some.

Since you have no experience, it can be closer to gambling (!) what you'll do at start, so you will have gains and loses too and you may need to have at hand some extra funds to "replenish".
Also history has shown that holding is not a bad strategy if you have the patience for it.

I believed trading with altcoins is even more risky than btc trading. Bitcoin is quite established in market and its price is less volatile as I think. Most of altcoins are new and nobody knows, or give convincing reasons, what their price will be. It is more like total lottery for me, with btc I am sure its price won't fall to nothing, I can't tell the same about altcoin. How much is trading with altcoins similar to btc trading?

Btw what is difference for me to trade on OTC exchange and regular exchange? I can set price + my interest rate on any platform, and it looks like I can trade offers with small btc amount on OTC.

Since some of you trade or traded with crypto, how much time did it take for you to earn money when you realized learning trading was worth it? That is, when did trading start to generate somewhat serious income? Note this is not about stable income

Beginning traders shouldn't come into this with profit expectations at all. In fact, you might need to lose your $300 bankroll a couple times before you really get the hang of it. Not only do you need to have a knack for trading (not a given), you also need time to develop your skills and a profitable trading system. This won't happen overnight.

I will be very realistic with you, you can learn how to trade, but don't expect that you will trade with $300 and you will make a profit of $100 to $250 per month . It may be 30 days, and you only have a profit of  $30 or even no profit at all.

Without leverage, it would be tough....at least with Bitcoin's current low volatility. With leverage, he'd probably blow up his account and walk away with nothing. So yes, I wouldn't plan on making $100 to $250 per month just yet.

You can learn crypto trading even while doing a full time job so just go for $500 salary job and then invest $300 into trading like buy bitcoin and trade it against the shit coins to get more profits,or you can also try with stable pair which might looks profitable but highly risky as well.

You can do a combination of these activities. I have seen people do it and you can try it as well. Since you are keen with programming as a freelancer here is what you can do.
Do some freelance projects in crypto and ask for payment in bitcoin. It is hard to find such projects but once you get it you are good to go.
You will improve your skills and at the same time get paid for it in bitcoin. Invest the amount you receive into trading and earn more profit.
Don't invest everything you earn. Save a percent of your income in bitcoin and invest the rest and earn and experiment with it.

It's not big amount but it's good to start and to get some knowledge and experiences. Also if he doesn't make a profit he will not be so disappointed.

We cant still say that he wont able to seek up jobs for too long. This will depend on how he do apply for a job online as a freelancer
and depending on the skills and portfolio he do have.

Actually its quite a bright idea to earn up btc payment out of your works and then use those funds to make some side trades apart from your job
but also come to think that this will require some strict time management because trading cant really be rushed up if you do really like to learn and make
profits with it.

The basic thing we have to do and must is to prepare our self and thinking positive towards our plan. Not necessarily we have to start a big amount and to earn big, it is better to start in small cause we certainly are knowing if we could sustain the challenge and risk in the coming days. Cause anytime we can gradually increase our capital if we see it profitable and if we consider this as a long-term investment. Cause most traders start with big capitals, fails.

Having a full time job and being a trader is not an easy task, OP must also understand this. If you can’t trade while working then you can use BOT in trading but of course, you should still know when to buy and sell. Start the trading at your own risk, always be ready to accept losses and other consequences.

From both of your questions, I can only say that you need to try it. based on theory, of course you can make $ 100- $ 240 per month, or even more depending on how you trade. many people out there are earning more. but, some people out there are also unlucky in trading.

I suggest having a job, and in your free time, you can try that, and make your own conclusions. but, because you say you have 1 month of free time, you can try it right now. you need to know, that in trading, knowledge is everything.

Yes, you can learn to trade for a month and make money, but how much you can earn, it depends on how hard you try and how good you know the lesson.

    • Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange? I tried bisq to sell btc, but it seems like there you can do it with rather huge amounts of money I can't afford to make offer with. I suggest starting trading on regular exchange while you can practice your learning. I don't know about bisq because I don't trade in that site, but maybe I will visit on that site to see if they are good or not.

It is hard to earn $500 per month, and especially we still see the market is unpredictable like today. The important here is you need to keep trying to make as much money you can from trading.

Maybe you can try to get a job with an income in monthly so you can use some of the revenue to buy bitcoin and save it as an investment, so you can get double way to make money. You can choose freelance as a programmer, and still trading, while you can also get a real job in real life. That will be three-way that will give you more money if you can hard work.

Beginner should not go with day trading even if they have more spare time because they can lose all at once if thy didn't familiar with it that is why I said trading while at the day job can be a good idea.

I`m a beginner too. I started with mid and long term trading. For us beginners regular trading is easier to understand, you just need to learn how to set up buy/sell
orders and wait patiently for them to get executed.
What you need to know is when to buy and when to sell. When price is going down I`m buying little amounts, when price start rising I sell for some minimal profit.
I am satisfied with couple percents, maximum 5. I don`t trade with Bitcoin, I trade with some tokens I don`t care even if I lose. And it`s easier for me to follow prices
    in satoshis.

If you are doing some freelancing and trading you should know how to manage your time. Freelancing is something target oriented and often your clients will have strict deadlines, which you have to follow religiously. Trading however is also going to need some effort from your side to learn the basics and to analyze markets for a few years at least, followed by dummy trading on any exchange that allows you to deposit with local currency.

You wont make money immediately from trading, on the contrary, you may just lose more at the initial phase because you are learning.

You can not become a good trader without learning or practicing how to trade. I would suggest youtube or ebook trading tutorials.

Trading is quite risky and not a good source of regular income especially for the newbie. And if you can afford to lose that much then fine!

I would choose regular exchange than OTC. There are always lots fair opportunities on regular exchange. Besides,  regular exchange has stablecoins for those who want to avoid too much volatility.

Very feasible, but it's a bit difficult for you if you have to start trading from scratch, especially within a month because trading requires a lot experience. But you can try that and add to your trading experience every day and of course in a month you cannot become a pro trader, at least you know  basics in trading.

And keep in mind, that to get profit in trading a little difficult, even pro traders are not always able to maintain their profits in trading.

If a person knows has a friend that knows well how to trade, he can ask him to help him. I am not sure that it is possible for you to learn everything about this business if you do it on your own. With a good support, you can learn a bit about trading, but you will hardly deal with it.

However, it is worth starting, as you can really get a good source of income and forget about the main job.

That's not a problem if we're equipped with skills and determinations to face challenges with trading. If you think you're worth enough with trading bitcoin and you're capable financially, then do what's best and fit for your mindset. Always think of very crucial matter which possible to arise in the future on how to handle it.

I know right. Trading does require a lot of patience especially when you are a newbie to it because that's the time when we all tend to make so many mistakes.
That's the reason why I advised him not to invest all of his money into trading but keep a certain portion aside for trading and then gradually increase the amount when he gains confidence.
Getting rich quickly should not be the goal, the goal should be to learn because that's what is gonna make you rich.

If you are doing trading, it’s always a great situation for you. But if you are directly holding things, it will just not work right. So this is where you need to be extremely choosy with your way. I do Crypto Trading (https://cryptolinks.com/bitcoin-futures), and that’s why I am able to make money without any worry of the situation. And I personally will suggest that only to others as well. It’s kind of approach which is almost certain to help you with getting worthy results.

I chose to expirement and try luck with trading and freelancing.

You already choose what you want to do, so I suggest you try those and don't forget to learn about trading itself so you will be able to make a profit in a month.

      • Can I learn and do trading for month to make at least some money(around $100-$250), while doing freelance programming? I can arrange 3-5 hours for each activity per day.

You can learn and do the trading for a month to make money, but that is not as easy as you thought because you need to learn first before you can make a profit. But every people could learn trading if they want. Just learn the basic of the trading, which is to buy low, sell high, and you will be fine. But if you want more, then you need to learn deeper of the trading, especially to learn about the analysis on trading.

      • Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange?

I suggest you choose a regular exchange like what other people did. You can try with binance, poloniex, kucoin, bittrex or else, and you can select the exchange which has KYC or not.

And remember that you should manage your money in trading and always take any profit as you can before it's too late.

You should learn crypto trading but avoid starting it right now. If you want to buy and sell, bitcoins that is ok but if you want to buy altcoins then this is not the right time for trading. Altcoin market is almost dead right now.
While learning, you can start freelancing and wait for the right time when you can actually start cypto trading.

You have made a good decision to start trading because that is the easiest way for you to make a monthly income without having to work for another man, it is at the comfort of your home but it is quite a tedious thing, trading is not really easy, you have to be very careful that you trade with caution so that you dint lose your money, and to trade with caution, you have to ensure that you have got all the strategies that you need that will make you trade like a pro trader because you are not someone who has so much money to lose, so you have to guard your money jealously, there is no time to waste and there is no money to waste.

Please do not go into trading without making sure that you completely know how to make technical and fundamental analysis of trades.

You can learn from many sources, or you can find more lesson from here so you can start to learn and practice the lesson. But that will not be easy to learn to trade because you need to spend more time to understand the lesson. I am sure that you can know how to trade with good and I think you will get more experience by learning more about trading.

If you are comfortable with the amount you mentioned then it is right, you can start with that amount, before trading you need to check their potential activity about the coin because you cannot invest in high-value coins, which might give you lower profits.

You have a good background already with computers and I bet this will just be an easy walk to you.

Why not go full time then have a little spare time for reading about it.
No need to rush for now.
I know you might be a little excited by now but do not let it go to your head.
Trust me, I already saw it.
Calm down, do work for a day job. Save money and use it to make more.
That $300 should be used now for your budget while working and making more money.

What exactly do mean mean by "high value" coin? Value as per price or demand? If you talk about price then bitcoin is the biggest one here and on the contrary it should be the first coin that they should put their money in. Because bitcoin is what the community has supported for so long risks are considerably lower when buying it compared to any altcoin, but that too should be done at a proper price.

Lower profits may be true, but for a new trader the safer options are the go-to options than any risky altcoin which pumps and dumps every day. Eventually they will also know those coins.

Bitcoin is so volatile mate and it's worth it to trade , especially if you want to gain quick profits on it.  But i suggest to obtain some knowledge first how trading works.  Because you know there's  a lot of ppl making mistakes and regrets afterwards because of being lack of information about it. So you better educate your self first for the sake of your money.

Yes, it is possible to start at 300 USD. However, to trade cryptocurrency on the exchange, you need to prepare for the process, and have the following list of knowledge:
      - Learn to work with cryptocurrency charts;
      - Use daily trading volume data in market analysis.
Having learned the size of the daily trading in relation to a particular cryptocurrency over the past week, you can find out how much interest other users have in it.

This is the advantage of BTC, even in any situation you can try to start trading. when viewed today we can try to do many things with bitcoin because bitcoin will be easier to increase and is very suitable for trading

But you will need to have skills to determine the right price to buy because if you miss the right price, and then I don't think that you can make a profit in a short time. I see that many people are waiting for bitcoin price increase higher so they can sell the bitcoin and wait for another down of the price. That will be difficult if you cannot analyze with the right because that will make you confuse to place the order buy.

I admitted that it is not easy to buy bitcoin in the price we want because we need to check in every hour to find the price so we can place the order. Or you can place the price you want in some level of the price so when the price down, your order will automatically be filled by itself. But yes, this time we have a good time to buy more bitcoin if we want but don't forget to analyze first.

You will get the moment to buy bitcoin, but that is not good if you can not get bitcoin at a low price because that will make you wait for more. So patience will be the key to get the right aprice at the market.

Everyone who come into trading wants to earn and earn but not all of them want to suffer difficulties as well as losses. The fact that we are one of them, we are also the one among crying traders who never accept losses.

It is not that we started great and profitable or we achieve our goal in a time frame given but the most important is we know our capabilities and we are strong enough to face any difficulties without thinking of quitting.

Trading bitcoin can be risky but easy at same time for a newbie because of the volatility. The volatility is good because it doesn't take time to get the profit for you but when it is down against you, you begin to wonder what went wrong, we need good training, skills and patients to be able to get it right most times.
Even when the trade is down against the trader which mistakes are bound to happen sometime, it is not a bad situation because the situation will always be amended back once  bitcoin rebounds, except maybe the newbie or whoever the trader is trading on leverage, that is the one that me I cannot talk much about because leveraging with trade in this volatile market is risky, but if we don't leverage, the opportunity that has been presented before us through volatility would always favor the trader.

Trading is really worth it, because it is the easiest thing you can do, and all we just need is the right education for you as you said, and the best strategy without mixing of greed which is one of the trade killer.

The traders think that quitting is the backdoor for exit are the weaker hands shaken out throughout the bear market. The timeframe must be large for checking the profitability of the trading strategy, on another hand, other essential features like money management, trading skills, price action understanding have to make a hand stronger. Trading the volatile markets is not job of the stock traders, they like to trade the stabile or steady growth markets. Trading the BTC is like trading the penny stocks which are the volatile stock assets in the global financial markets.

The bearish market now gives a chance to us to buy as many coins as we can, and that will depend on the money we have.

Everything will depend on your deposit and on what type of trade you will be engaged in. The market is unpredictable now, I would advise you to exercise maximum caution,
and choose clear strategies in case you decide to trade. See market analytics in recent months. A lot of manipulations, stops are constantly knocked out, it is extremely difficult to trade.

If you are a total newbie with zero knowledge in crypto trading and you only have $300 to use as your capital, earning $100 to $250 is a long shot in a month considering your experience in trading. You might even end up losing all of them if you picked the wrong coin. I am not trying to discourage you in trying to trade but you will need more time to learn about it and a lot of wrong decisions before you can earn good money in crypto trading. Good luck!

For the amount of $300 its somewhat hard to diversify into various number of alts in the market.I would rather focus directly or all put up into bitcoin or ETH with this case even just simply holding up you can earn various percentage profits depending on your entry point.Yes there were lots of coins in the market it will depend on the money we would able to risk out.We can start up trading if we do like but it is much wiser if we do trade up with small amounts and dont ever use up on to those capitals or money that you had been borrowed or simply your savings.

You should change your mind now because in Bitcoin trading you cannot increase your assets too fast. The risks of bitcoin are also high, and you will probably lose instead of having short-term profits. I think you should leave and look for a full-time job for yourself because it's right for you.
For now its better to have a full time job because bitcoin trading can't guarantee you that you will take home some profit and of course that profit will also be use for another trade and it can still lose after all. Have a good plan with your financial status, if you think trading can't support your living then better not to focus on trading and do it as your part time job.

I think the same as you because, with a full time job, he can get paid for what he did. He can use some money from his payment to invest in bitcoin or altcoin, he can use the other money to fill his daily needs, and if there is more money left, he can save that money in the bank. That will help him to live better, and he can get more money from his trading.

He can use trading for his living, but he needs to have skills which not all of the trader can have. Besides that, he needs to learn harder than the other traders to improve his skills so he can always make a profit, although it is still tricky. It is better to have two sources of income so he can get more money from that income.

He should know how to manage the risk so he can prevent from the big losses that he might get in trading and he still has money to buy his daily needs monthly.

For now its better to have a full time job because bitcoin trading can't guarantee you that you will take home some profit and of course that profit will also be use for another trade and it can still lose after all. Have a good plan with your financial status, if you think trading can't support your living then better not to focus on trading and do it as your part time job.
OP was talking about being a freelance programmer. So that would be a full time job for them if they get some good contracts. But the freelance market is not something to be depended on completely for day earning so I would suggest the OP to develop some skills and get a permanent full time job.

Trading is best left as part time hobby, you wont become a millionaire by trading if you are not going  to do full time and that also is not a guarantee. You may be able to get a good return with each buy and sell but thats all. Dont expect ot put in huge capitals here because its not for everyone.

The $ 300 value is a great start to the world of crypto or bitcoin trading. One of the great referrals to your choice of exchange is Binance, Coinbene, Houbi, okex or Kucoin. I didn't seem to be familiar with the exchange you mentioned so I gave another exchange knowing that I'm sure I wouldn't be disappointed in you also you can learn a lot of things here.

Trading is the most difficult job in this world. But once you learn it nothing can match the comfort with which it can earn you money. My advice to you is focus on one thing. If you will go into programming you won't be able to focus properly on trading. It's a full time job and in starting 4-5 months you might have to spend over 9 hours a day studying and back testing charts. Now, let me tell you what you can do. For the first month learn trading for 5 hours and do your programming. If you find trading interesting then go full time for the second month. Learn more TA and create your setup. Then go to some good exchange like Binance or Bitmex which could give you a fancy leverage on that 300$ mark. Start with only back testing your setup multiple times and trading with a small 50$ account for first 2 months to test your strategies. Create a trade log to note the takeaway and results of each trade. After 100 trades with that $50(if somehow it still survives) find out probability of winning. If its over 70% your strategy is best transfer 300$ and start trading your strategy with good risk management strategy. This is my personal advice which I don't think anyone would tell you.

I would like to find somewhere more detailed information so that a person who generally does not have any knowledge about trading on the cryptocurrency market, but has a certain starting capital, can understand how to take the first steps in trading and how to continue.  I’m constantly looking for information on YouTube, because visually it is much easier to understand in order to start gaining experience.  But to a greater extent, I see a video where the authors conduct trainings with such a degree of confidence, as if this information is being watched by People who already have certain knowledge, but want to improve their trading results.

Bitcoin trading is a risky proposition. Well you will likely profit most of the time, sometimes you will buy high but the market will not come back down and you will lost everything. well you won't lose everything, but you will have to re-buy into the market and you will lose some money, and it won't be good. so you should think carefully about if the risk is worth the reward for you.

Yeah it is risky when you don't have any knowledge to do it. For me being a trader is not about buy low and sell high, but you have to know when the good time to make a decision either buy and sell. And these thing need an analyst. You will include a fool person when you start it without know how analyst is and how to trade well.

But it will be different if you know the knowledge to trade for example you have known how to make an analyst with any market situation. I believe that is the important thin beside you have a capital to spend for trading.  Yeah and I will bet when you have known it you will know the trully risk that will be faced and you will manage it in a simple way.

So he was supposed to make profits in short term alone, not sure he did that or not but the time frame he said was ended.

Myself it is surely possible to make profits in short term but learning complete crypto trading may not be possible.

We have to be careful with fundamental of trading to make money and we can keep learning the strategies and try it will less capital from the total capital we got for trading.

i think both of them are still the same . knowing when the time is good to make decision is the same as knowing when to buy and sell   .  trading is really about buying low and selling high  ( e.g you enter at a dip market and you buy the coins at a low price and then you hodl them and sell them when they are pumping ) other than that , i dont think of any reasons on why we enter trading  . it does not make sense at all if you are doing the other way .

@op , dont be afraid to follow or to listen on your self because there is a good chance that you can do better on trading more than anything else . gl

Excatly, it is possible to earn trading in a short time however the problem is that you must learn first the fundamentals and get some experience. If you just enter the industry without knowing nothing then I'd say that all of your capital will be in vain. By looking for the given time frame I think it you are still in the learning stage so it would be impossible for you to earn that quickly.

If you are a quick learner and a smartass person, I am sure you could do this in just a month. Do time management, set how many hours you want to spend in reading and watching about Trading, set how many hours you want to spend applying it, last but the most important, spend also time with yourself, I know it is hard living alone and not having an income, but you have to take care of yourself still.

There is a quote I've read yesterday saying "If you will not spend time for your wellness, you'll be forced to make time when you are sick" and that hit me so hard, working hard is not bad, but working too much is.

If I were him and I have $300, I will buy bitcoin first, then eth, bnb, atom, grin, and some other low coins price. I think that is enough to get some amount of each coin and I can wait for another time. I don't just hold each coin, but I will sell the coin if somehow the coin can increase higher at least 10% from the price before so I will have the opportunity to buy back the coin in a low price. The bearish market now gives a chance to us to buy as many coins as we can, and that will depend on the money we have.

It depends on the coin you want to buy. As long as you can buy a low price coin with the potential to increase, you can make a profit later. But that will not work if you purchased a high price coin because you are hard to make the profit. Sometimes, the low price coin can increase 2-3 times from the last price, so if we can buy a large amount, and we can make a big profit too. That is a solution for people who don't have a large amount of money, but they want to try to make a profit.

First of all who is your friend that recommended you to start cryptotrading? What's his occupation? I have a rule that I don't take advices from people who are not where I want to be in life.
Then do you acknowledge that $150-$250 in a month is almost 2X your capital in 1 month? You know that the best traders make steady 20-30% returns per YEAR. Learning to trade consistently profitable is one of the hardest things you can do in this world as it requires a lot of mental preparation. As the saying goes you need 10,000 hours of looking at the charts to become an expert.

Nothing is impossible in making profit in trading. However, a trader shouldn't be expecting certainly for his trading profit and his activity since your activity depends on the market movement and your trading strategy at the same time. Sometimes they don't work as what you planned thus you have to imporivise which differs a professional traders to common traders.

It is really worth it to trade if you fully understand the whole cryptocurrency market. Trading is not an easy task because it requires a lot of strategies and studies that you should use before you can increase your capital.

Yes, you can make money even if you spend 3-5 hours a day. but make sure you have market knowledge as well as TA knowledge. That will make you a lot of money if you anticipate the right direction of the market. Margin trading is a type of trading that helps you earn a lot of money in a day. You should try in Bitmex or Bitmax exchange.

Personally, i'd recommend going for the full time job.

With all the abundance of responses, i had hoped that the topic starter would return and give us an update on what he did with his life. Would be interesting to see if like other people he was able to use leverage trading and turn his $300 to some crazy number like $300,000. Well, it's quite a longshot but theres always this chance of getting lucky.

Instead of throwing a free BTC to the Bitmex, I suggest learning about financial security for the rest of life. After having enough practice with the demo accounts, it will be the same experience rather than wasting time with emotional trading on the margin trading accounts. It will turn to the sports betting if there is a skill for analyzing the market conditions and having a proper technical, fundamental research ability IMHO.

It is still worth to start trading Bitcoin and it all ways will due to that fact that bitcoin is fluctuating so even if you purchase now you can still able to get a high return in the future however, the problems is the time. As what you have mention you only have a month to trade which is not enough if you have no idea in the industry. It takes a lot of time in order to gain knowledge and experience which is the most important thing unless you have already familiarize in this transaction.
With regard in you can able to trade while doing programming, I think we should leave the decision for you because you owns your time you are the only one who can manage it.

It seems you've your eyes already set on the expected profit. This thing doesn't really work out like that, at least most times it doesn't. Set your mind on learning the techniques involved in trading before counting chicks that haven't been hatched. Trading is very lucrative once you acquire the set skills and this I encourage you to do. Besides, there is always that caveat at the bottom of trading sites and exchanges alerting you of the risky nature of trading. You can easily lose your capital too just the same way you can double it.

correct me if I misunderstood your post but I think this is a good news after all, buying in a certain amount then suddenly "the market will not come back down" means that it goes up (obviously), the next thing would happen would be that you made profits because you bought at the right moment. It is up to you what next move you are going to make to make even more profits more than what you have at the moment.

but you will have to re-buy into the market and you will lose some money, and it won't be good.

Re-buying altcoins that you will use on Trading is not a loss for you, it is an investment,  you buy therefore you are holding an amount of money that could be double or even triple when you get lucky if the market continue to rise.

I have spare $300 that my friend suggested to use to start cryptotrading, as this is the maximum amount of money affordable to lose.

Currently I don't have income and I have three ways to set it: cryptotrading, freelancing as programmer, or full-time job.

It seems to me that you actually can't afford trading momentarily.

Probably the best advice you will ever get is don't trade when you're in a tough financial situation. Especially if you're just starting out: this is the worst time you could begin this journey.

Think long-term and don't chase a quick buck. 30 days is not a long time so you would probably put unnecessary pressure on yourself if you were to trade with a deadline.

      Unless..

You secure at least 1 source of income, like a job or something. Then use your free time to study trading and maybe test out some strategies. When you're comfortable deposit a small amount of money. See what changes in your mindset and what you feel when in-trade. Can you do it? Repeat until you're sure. Let it accumulate. Your position sizes will grow exponentially. Happy? Quit your job. Congrats, you're probably in the top 5% by now.

Did that take 30 days or less? Ah.. nope.

      Good luck!

Answering to your first question, everything is possible but don't set your expectations so high. I am assuming that you don't have a background in trading, otherwise you wouldn't ask if you can do it. So there's a learning curve with technical analysis and dealing with emotions. And that learning never stops.

      And to second question:
After you have bought bitcoin from somewhere with fiat money, with amounts like that it will be easy to find exchanges and start trading btc without a kyc. And you should definitely go with those. It's cheaper and less time consuming. With binance there's a decent daily withdraw limit without any real kyc.

And then you need to decide your strategy. Playing with leverage, low cap shitcoins, swingtrading, or high frequency trading.
What ever you decide, just know that it will be time consuming. This is a 24/4 space with constant newsfeed, this can literally take more time than most jobs.

Actually, it will depend on how much you will spend to invest and depending on the market if it will go up or down.

$300 is good and you can buy altcoins that have a small price of satoshi and if it will increase then you gain by it but depends on the value and you will just need to wait for BTC to gain its price. But if you have a target value of profit every day or month then you will need to analyze the market and focus on it and in your case, it's not possible since you have other work to do.

While you are doing this, you are also minimizing the profits you could earn compare if you will also check out other altcoins which are good to trade too, aside from bitcoin and ethereum. It is a double edge sword that could cut your profits or could be your weapon to maximize what you can earn. It is not that bad to apply this strategy, focusing on just two crytocurrency means you are staying on the safe side.

Furthermore, if you successfully mastered or understand how trading works using this two cryptocurrency you have mentioned, you're not going to have a hard time trading other altcoins.

Everyone has a critical issue when no further move can be taken. But thats the step which is appreciated to move to next level. Trading is a good platform to gain profits. I would advice you to learn the basics first. Take time in analyzing. Then move. Patience is the key to succeed.

We need learning in trading to make a profit, and there is many basics lesson of trading for new people or even for every trader who already knows to trade. As long as you have a will to learn, you will have the knowledge to trade so you can determine the right time to trade. It is hard for the first time, but if you still trying, you will have a chance to make a profit. Patience will be needed in trading as you will see the market will not always move to the price you want.

It’s always worth it if you are sensible with how you are operating. If you are not having common sense, it’s just not going to work for you. So our main priority needs to be around getting that thing right only. If we manage to do that it will for sure get us on the right side of things, which then will eventually lead to results that are fruitful for us. One simple formula is to track Crypto News (https://cryptolinks.com/cryptocurrency-news-aggregator), which is enough to get us to the right direction.

300$ is a good start for you to do trading, and I believe that you can double it in one month mate.
But of course, while you're doing it, you should also do some self study about trading in this crypto business
because you're gonna need it here as an individual trader.

100% profit in 30 days is not possible all the time,so don't get this kind of goals to be achieved especially when you start your trading career because you will end of with 100% loss.Keep the things low as much as possible, like 10-15% will be a good target and avoid intra day trading as well when you are in learning phase.

That is the basic rule of progress in world of traders. To be rich, a trader is obliged to spend when the rates of crypto currencies are low and sell some of his owning when the prices sky rocket. Not only this, he must choose the coin to make investments in with care and wisdom. He must keep the past performance and future estimates by experts in his mind before choosing the coin and no one is better than bitcoin in this matter.

For start ups it isn't really bad to have those kind of goals but it should really be realistic because even experienced traders do still have the hard time to get those profits on monthly basis.

We shouldn't put up some unrealistic targets because it will just disrupt or distract our trading  which would highly result into result or messed up trades.
For op situation, trading is a good choice but don't expect for results to align with your expectations or positive results because it can go either ways.

And for newbies they should learn the basics before going in or maybe they should seek a mentor that can help them for there trade ventures.

Hello, You can do whatever you want, you have to be the mentor of yours and manager, your time and money only responsible for your deeds, So it's better to decide based on your context, not only the current context but also the future's perspective. So in my opinion, Bitcoin or crypto trading would not be the main earning source for us, it might be the secondary source of income, But before starting trading you must gather huge information regarding this issue, So you have to read a lot and take some experimental steps for trading purpose, I also want to say that crypto trading is not an easy task, it contains a high risk so you have to be very careful with trading, on the other hand, Crypto trading is also a profitable system so you if you can do it very properly then you have the opportunity to make some from here.

If you plan to be a freelancer, I highly believe you'll use platform of fiver where it's not so easy to gain attention from customers because competition is very high and in most cases people are looking for experienced freelancers and don't like experiments.
But on another hand if you are good web developer graphics designer and etc, you can try Envato's platform, I think it will be 100x more profitable for you than fiverr but also takes much more time and afford.
No one can tell you whether you'll profit from trading or not but just remember this: If you profit that's because someone loses.

Yes, that right! In your situation, it is a very good time for you to earn big and starting trading with BTC. All you need to do is to learn what coins you'll need to invest with. You should look for a coin that has a good potential to increase. Also, you should search first the trading sites that are trusted by many people.

Once I came into trading, I'd never think of trading as a way to lose that keeps people saying only invest money that you could only afford to lose. I wasn't supposed to think that cause it only gives a negative impact on me. Trading is not just we put money just to throw away our money but in order to have some returns from our invested money. If trading could give much better profits then I have to choose this life  and gradually increase my capital to further increase also my profit gains.

Trading without a basic knowledge is too risky. He should learn the basic first so that he will not be surprise when something bad happens. The OP need to prepare his emotion as well in order for him to endure any FUD that he will be seeing.  You dont need to be expert first before go to trading you just need to learn a little bit before entering trading.

I  highly suggest OP that you just go fulltime as a programmer. You would earn much more on that career and you continue to learn a lot more coding to enhance your knowledge which means much more broader experties that you can offer to your client which also means bigger pay. Then if you got so much extra money, invest it in bitcoin. In that strategy, you won't lose a lot because you are only long on btc and it's just extra money that you are spending to buy it.

It seems to me that a person can have two directions that interest him.  First of all, this is a hobby, and secondly, it is earnings.  If you want to make good money, you need to find a real profitable job, for which a programmer can really earn very good money, but you can also engage in cryptocurrency as an enthusiast.  Many cryptocurrency users show their activity in the cryptocurrency market as a hobby or as a hobby, but no one should seriously consider the cryptocurrency market as the main source of income.

You looks a beginner with the crypto world, and maybe you don't know a lot about this market which is very volatile and unstable. After getting the required knowledge about BTC and trading basics, you can start to trade with small amounts.

      Snip...
Yes I am sure that it is worth for everyone to start bitcoin trading although the price of the coins and the bitcoin is not stable enough in which it will pump up a little but on the next few hours it will dump down again. I think this is a hard situation for the traders because it its hard to understand the progress of the market.
It is only worthy if we know about trading but if not, we better stay wherever we are today. We don't need to push ourselves to learn trading if weren't enable to learn something or just for the sake that trading means profitable. Our market really feels not good and we can't think that trading would be the best place for everyone in here. A lot of people want to become a trader but only few of them win the battle against market difficulties.

At first, you have to gain every ins and outs of this Bitcoin trading, Unless getting proper knowledge, you can't do any better thing in this platform, This market is not like another existing trading market, Here, it's too difficult to predict anything regarding the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, So you have to be attentive and alert every moment, otherwise thing can be different, I know a lot of people who got a lot from trading but I also know a huge number of people who lost everything by Bitcoin and cryptocurrency trading. on the other hand, Bitcoin holding would be a good source of making a profit, when the price of Bitcoin is low then you should purchase what amount you can, and wait for the moment when the BTC price goes high, that's a simple trick.

Yes, you can confidently go ahead with trading investing $300. I did start with exactly $300. My advice would be, dont rush for profits. Have patience. Select minimum 5 best coins you wish to trade. Analyse the coins  before choosing them to be in your portfolio. Keep shifting from one coin to other coin based on values.
$300 is fairly enough money to start trading. I would suggest to go for bitcoin because it is the best one when comes to gaining profit out of investment but if that feels a bit difficult then it is better to go with promising altcoin and ultimately trade in bitcoin. The reason behind this is simple, only bitcoin has produced millionaire so far. People have improved their financial status by trading this cryptocurrency.

It is better for you to get a job and try your luck becoming a freelancer instead of trying to become a trader, you do not really say what is your experience in trading but I will assume that is minimal and that is not enough if you want to obtain profits in the market especially with the capital you have and the profits you expect out of it, you have 300 dollars and you want to make between 100 and 250 which is the equivalent of 33% and 83% in profits in a single month and that kind of success is difficult even for an experimented trader.

In most other markets you will need years to get those profits and even in this market if you got those profits during a whole year I will say that you had a good year and yet you want huge consistent profits and that is not possible.

Well if you are newbie in trading, i am suggesting you to first watch a lot of tutorial videos on youtube and when you know the basic you can start trading but i think it is better if you would start on crypto that have a small amount like neo and ltc. And i am also suggesting you to work on full time while trying to learn on crypto trading.

If you have knowledge how to trade you can earn decent income, but there is no assurance in trading you can either earn or lose money. The most preferable is to find a freelance job while trading and save some of the amount of your money while trading. But if you are new in trading try to experiment first with a little amount in trading and learn from it.

I highly doubt that you'd be able to start trading with such a low amount of money.

The only way that I can foresee you getting somewhat of a decent return back in terms of dollar amount would be derivatives trading, and you'd be doing that on leverage. You could experiment with it, but it would essentially be almost like gambling for a beginner.

But with such low capital, OTC trading or LBC trading will be extremely difficult. I suggest that if you want to go down that route, save a bit more money irl first and then come back.

I completely disagree. He doesn't have to make thousands of dollars in profit just starting out to see if he's any good at it. That's gambling in itself. Let the man start out with a low amount of money, see how he does, and if he does good, keep building up that bankroll as he can or as he makes money from trades. If he doesn't end up doing well, then at least he didn't lose a whole lot.

He can make it imo, for someone with $300 trying to earn 33%-83% within a month. Let's see, he started this thread on August 29th, bitcoin price at that time was $9400-$9500, imagine if he bought bitcoin at that time and then it gradually increases to $10,600 as the peak at Sept. 3rd, that's already 33% profit in just 4 days if he made the right call at the right moment.
I would like to hear directly from OP how is it going?

If you have any planning for attempting trading with cryptocurrency then you must take the initiative as this right now, No matter what you have money for this purpose, the last couple of days are going down the price so you can avail Bitcoin at a low rate, trading is nothing but it requires a huge knowledge of related platform, not only that but also trading needs to be very watchful and attentive, If you are capable of making any prediction about the market then it will helpful for your trading purpose. So a low amount of capital is not a matter after all, But success will not come to your hand until you study very carefully and properly, In order to make a good trading, accurate information and proper knowledge are mandatory for trading.

You two do have a point, however I am going to be neutral about this, having a small amount when starting trading is a very cautious way on not losing all the stakes OP have, however, that small amount of money would easily be dissolved in Trading saying that he is just a newbie, and losing a couple of hundred dollars will not determine if he is really good about it or what, so he will try to deposit again if he really is serious about trading (meaning he is going to spend bigger to last longer).

On the other side, trading is not about how big or small of the capital you are going to use in Trading, it is about how much money you are willing to make to realize if Trading is the real deal for you.

basically you must equipped yourself with all the knowledge ,strategies and you must also learn money management.

$ 300 is a small capital so you can make a lot of money at trading. because the professional and good traders, they only have 1 day target of 1-2%.
and to get $ 500 per month, it will be a very difficult and risky thing. I think you should take a risk with Margin trading, which is a leveraged trading and helps you make as much money as possible in a short amount of time if you correctly predict the trend.

If he is a good trader and he takes his chances of trading with leveraging, then there is chances that he could really make so much with that $300 that you see him talk about which is very risky because trading with margin requires skills because that $300 is something that could also go within seconds if the trader is not careful.

Except it is margin trade, I don't really see much way to make so much money with that $300 because the market is not in a bullish trend that much which is usually the best time to trade with such amount, in this bear market, for you to make enough money from trading, I think that you must surely have some huge capital for the business, but if I get the chance to still trade with that $300, I will still take my chances because no matter how little the profit may be, I can still compound it to become big in future.

Though we think that every time it is good to start in trading but much has to look at first if we are ready to lose our money. I know nobody is pushing us to become a trader and to be in trading, it is our own decision and yet to see that we are really satisfied with this. This is not for the sake that we be able to become rich in trading but for the purpose is to gain little by little every day, I think it was enough.
If you want to have too much of profit at once, then you are not a professional trader rather seasonal one who is trying just his luck in trading. The real traders are the ones who keep trading most of the times and every day make some profit even if it is not massive one. This is how they understand and learn from fluctuations of the market.

You could have made $100- $250 if you were an expert and had talent in trading, maybe you could make more than you imagined. do not look at the price of the coin, but first you have to look at the volume and number of transactions, fluctuations in crypto describe the profit or loss you will get, how high the price of the coin your profits will remain in accordance with your capital, vice versa.
My advice if you really are in need of fixed money then go to full time job or programming because of fixed income, sometimes we have to face the reality that we don't like, adult life is very hard.

Yeah $300 is really a big thing for me, it can make a thousand if the trader knows many ways and technique,  he also have enough knowledge that every trader must know, his emotional capability must be good so thats he is not afraid in every dip that he will be seeing. Small investment can be good also if we do day trading.

yes, some traders use less capital to make a lot of profit. I don't think it's really a matter of how much money you use to trade, but how well you analyze and take advantage of the prices currently reached.
in some cases, not all traders who use large capital always make a profit. they sometimes also stop to think of ways to cover up their shortcomings. in this case, they also sometimes lose, and it achieves big losses.
conversely, some people use small capital, and are smart enough to read the market, so they can make big profits and collect lots of money.

Since OP is just a beginner, I think he is rushing himself to lose profits by putting a goal amount of money, I could see his face full of disappointments because of expecting too much and too early.

It is good to know that you have know plan about what will you do in trading, it seems that you consider the risks that you will face. Allocate your time in studying different trading setups that you can use in trading.

The plan is the most important thing. Try to stick to it even in the most dubious situations, never adjust the plan during your trading session, better do it after.
So it will be easier for you to find your mistakes and determine the necessary adjustments without unnecessary emotions and haste.
Spend two hours of theory for every hour of practice.

If you do not know about it, you can read it here: https://www.binance.vision/economics/what-is-margin-trading

I'm a little bit confused. How the OP will make big profit just investing $300?
He cannot that is the issue, many investors think of the profits they can get because they have heard stories of traders using margin trading to leverage their positions and earning several times their investment in days, but that kind of success cannot be sustained no matter how much some argue against it.

And when we consider that the initial capital is of only 300 then it is even harder to make it grow since the fees are going to take most of your profits away, meaning that you have no margin of error a single mistake could cost you all your capital and newbie traders are known to make mistakes like that all the time.

      Hello

I have spare $300 that my friend suggested to use to start cryptotrading, as this is the maximum amount of money affordable to lose. I have a month of free time to trade with btc. Currently I don't have income and I have three ways to set it: cryptotrading, freelancing as programmer, or full-time job. First of all if you think taht trading is a luck then you are wrong. And i really don't think one month is enough time to understand what is trade. And my friend this is crypto trading we are talking about, this is the most sensitive market place ever. If you really want to be trader then take time and give your best effort for it.

Can I learn and do trading for month to make at least some money(around $100-$250), while doing freelance programming? I can arrange 3-5 hours for each activity per day.

Of course you can. But like i said before it's too difficult to do that in short time.

Should I start trading on OTC exchange or regular exchange? I tried bisq to sell btc, but it seems like there you can do it with rather huge amounts of money I can't afford to make offer with. I think choose a normal or genuine exchange is a good idea for a beginner. Because of you are not invest lot of money and searching for low fee exchange then i can recommended you VinDax and Binance.

There needs to be a lot of coordination between savings, trading, and working to make more bitcoin when you have a little capital.

I started this bitcoin world with zero dollars, ZERO, I had nothing but I worked for it, I worked on faucets like crazy back in the day years ago, I made enough by selling and affiliating others, I made some by working for people and help them get their job done.

In the end I made enough to start trading myself, now I have a good sized portfolio that doesn't worth too much but at least I have been pure crypto with no fiat job for the past year or so and that means not only I managed to survive without fiat income but I also saved a bit aside and made a good profit as well. Couldn't have done that with a regular salary on a suit+tie type of job for sure.

It is really very good to follow the example of a professional who knows trading by heart and who began his activities from scratch.  Please tell me how much time do you spend for daily trading per day and what is the average or minimum revenue from trading every day?  I ask this because I need to know what a beginner can count on.

I don’t think there is any specific situation to trade BTC, it’s just about common sense and working through proper way to gain. And I do just that which helps a lot with determination. But if you keep doubting yourself and keep taking risk, it will just not lead you anywhere, so this is where analysing is important. I do just that and it helps with keeping eyes on Crypto News (https://cryptolinks.com/cryptocurrency-news-aggregator), if you manage it right, you mostly will find worthy situation to trade through.

in my opinion, you are too ambitious. when you are a beginner who wants to trade with crypto, and you already have a profit target every month, I think it will be difficult for you. I do not recommend for every beginner who is still in the stages of learning to put a large capital in crypto trading, moreover you only have a month to learn and trade. I think that time is too short. In my opinion, the best thing for you is to start trading with a small amount for profit without having a target to be obtained and maximize the time available to learn. if the target you want does not match what you expect, you will not regret it because you already have experience in trading. there are always risks in trading, so don't be overly ambitious in trading.

Right a beginner should not expect that much amount of profit in trading because trading needs knowledge and skills, and trading is also learned by trials and errors which means that in the beginning he could lose his money due to lack of knowledge, he could get panic because of the market situation, and only one month is not enough for making profit as i remember that i had spent one year to be a professional trader.

Still as a beginner $300 is big enough to fund in trading, when I was studying trading, my starting fund is $20 and when I am already learning from it little by little, I am adding capital. So, as a beginner in newbie, start with something that you can afford to lose, as in trading, you will encounter a lot of losses, failures, so be ready.

I think, it is important to set some goal before starting trading because without having a destination, you cannot figure the path or you can say that, the steps taken will have no direction. A person struggles for his dreams and goals. Having none will not stir spirit inside him. First a potential coin like bitcoin should be chosen and then a goal needs to be set for progressing.

Indeed. Setting up a goal before starting to trade in cryptocurrency is the first thing that a beginner should do for him to reach his goals. A beginner should also be aware the risk of trading, so he should be learning while doing trading for him to know how to minimize his losses and to able to reach his goal in making a huge profit.

It would be better if the newbie or a beginner in trader will not put his real money into the market. He can trade without real money through the help of demo accounts in some cryptocurrency exchange site. It is better because he can freely apply the things that he learned throughout the way and he can learn more and adjust easily without losing money.
if the purpose is to learn, it is indeed suitable to try first (demo) without using real money. But trading on a demo and in real is very different, in the average demo will definitely get good results can exceed the target goal and real trading will be very different it will definitely be difficult to get the targeted profit, especially if only with small capital and a beginner. (suggestion for those who doesn't want lose their money)
personally, I prefer to trade directly using real money, loss or profit so just accept it. because my experience first without demo trading.

Strange thing if you do not have any purpose about it. in the crypto world everyone expects the same thing as the benefits of what they have done or invested.
At the present moment, crypto currencies are viewed as an investment that can make people rich. This is true also. There are examples who became millionaire by investing in bitcoin when the prices were low. So anyone can make money with just holding a potential coin. However, if someone wants these assets to serve other purpose then it can be used as a medium of exchange.

It is never difficult for bitcoin to increase in values and right now if you check the graphs, bitcoin is showing green signals for upcoming splendid pump. If this guy has decent amount of money, he shall not waste even a second and get hands on bitcoin because in the beginning of next year, it would be really hard for people to purchase bitcoin as it is right now on its track to moon.

Yes, and I am reading some expert advise regarding Bitcoin and they are all positive on it and they were saying that the price of it is possible to skyrocket this upcoming halving, so, let's see how the price will bring us in the coming months, so better to accumulate now while it is still at cheap price.

I think become a trader and programmer is really different way. You won't get experts on one of them if you doing both.
Traders is have to learn the technical analysis and also always have to read the news about crypto everytime because crypto price is oftenly affected by the news.
And if you want to be a programmer you have to learn many new technology or programming language everytime.
So i think you have to focus at one speciality.

How if he could have used his programming knowledge in a different way and made a profit in the analysis when trading. we would not know that, anything could happen.
Use this situation to get a lot profit, i see btc price there is still up and down movement between 9100-9300, enough to get profit if you have a lot of capital. (or someone who want to trade) .

A goal is needed but not when it comes to the amount of money you want to make as a beginner trader, your goal should be to learn about the markets and if that means losing some money so be it, take that as a small price to pay for all the profits you will get in the future, but if you want to obtain profits right away then you will take important decisions based on your skills as a trader which at that point are not really that good and the chances of making an irreparable mistake are simply too high.

Everyone has their freedom to start trading in bitcoin no matter how high or low their current investment is and no matter how knowledgeable they are in terms of bitcoin. Though that's the thing, you should be consisted on being less knowledgeable about crypto because you wouldn't see any improvements with your investments if that's the case. If you really want to come up on what most people have here, you should increase your investment and at the same time, the knowledge you have on bitcoin.

That's the beauty of cryptocurrency to give freedom to every human being to make money. There are no burdensome rules in trading.
If we are only a small player who only has a small capital, of course we can immediately buy BTC to trade. Or we as big players with
big capital too. no problem we buy BTC in large quantities, because the greater the capital used for trading the greater the profit gained.
So anyone can buy BTC, and of course bitcoin is very good for trading. Very profitable, please start trading BTC whenever you want.

Getting opinions from others is wrong in cryptocurrency and to some extent in commodities and stocks. Because the market is manipulated by shills and brain dead shitcoin promoters. They will post their bullshit propaganda everywhere so they can dump their coins by creating a demand among those who are foolish enough to listen to them.

Most people should learn how to do TA if they are going for bitcoin day trading and analyse charts for a long term holding.

You have pinpointed the game of marketing of poor projects and the weakness of newbies in the trading market. Newbies highly get attracted towards offers of winning free cash or coins simply by signing in with small investments which ultimately lead to their bad time. They get scammed and lose their hard earned money. I am strong advocate of this point that does your own research and only listen to popular experts.

Every trader shall do his or her homework before entering the world of crypto trading because there are so people who will mislead you in order to simply grab your money. Real traders will seldom give you any good advice, they are not always responding or even if you still need support you are supposed to pay some good amount. In short, I have same opinion as yours of carrying out successful trading.

I suggest for the OP to research first the coin that he wanted to invest so that he will not regret on it soon, many beginner traders are not doing this, that is why they are losing their money before they gain, a professional trader knows what he will be doing so that he cannot lose too much money, we cannot prevent loosing any to gain experience but we can lessen it. having an amount like that can start trading with good coin, having time for it every day makes sense and will very helpful.

Financial markets trading is something (a job) that fully your own responsible indeed , it's not advisable to encourage other people to do exactly what the other people saying... but taking it as a consideration might be just fine right?
One thing that people should do is to not letting your main job go and just switched it to become a full time trader, op situation is looking for opportunity to switch in trading and completely quit the main job which I personally wouldn't recommend to do it at all.

Unless if you have a strong desire since day one and a principle to not regretting any decisions that has been made in the future, ready, accepting and fully aware about the big risk being a full time trader ... then that moment it's up to you .

Yeah newbies should read a lot of news outthere and often to read the forum like this because less information in crypto can kill us since there are too many "looks promising" projects but in fact they don't do anything with the product and their intention is just for scamming people. And for daily trading we should learn more about technical analysis and also don't forget to follow the updates of coins because that can give us a lot of profits if the coins have good news

Slowly, start trading without the purpose of earning a lot of money. Trading isn't simple at all and you need to gain some experience. It's a matter of time, so just be patient and learn from your mistakes. Learn more and more about cryptocurrencies, it's important. Moreover, find an exchange with will be perfect for beginners, like for example CoinDeal which is very user-friendly platform.

See if you are willing to trade then you can ofcourse start trading but keep in mind the risk involved in this crypto business and evaluate your performance on daily basis. You can try investing less amount than $300 as you are newbie to this market and invest in potential alts like btc and ETH which gives guaranteed returns.Otherwise you can have your own basket of eggs of your choice and wish you the best for future.

      • Can I learn and do trading for month to make at least some money(around $100-$250), while doing freelance programming? I can arrange 3-5 hours for each activity per day.
"Being a freelance programmer while trading sounds easy but in reality, it's not easy".  I tried this, but it didn't work for me.. when I trade and find my assets go down, it really interferes with my focus.  and vice versa, when my mind is stuck because I can't find a suitable program code, it also really upsets my mood and focus!!  my suggestion.. you better focus on one (just being a programmer or just being a trader), but if you want to try, I think it doesn't matter, you might be able to do both (being a freelance programmer & trader).

There is not much of risk involved. As a matter of fact, with a potential coin in hands and good skill-set, a trader can earn more than sufficient amounts of money. He just needs to have sound knowledge regarding his asset and his profession. With good understanding of both, the risk factor becomes negligible. I would also suggest bitcoin as that can produce some profits during dip season too.
