time for LTC difficulty to go exponential LTC is about to go to the moon ! Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: grendel25 on March 17, 2014, 02:09:59 AM What about development of even more asic resistant coins and what that will mean for GPU miners?
Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: drahgon on March 17, 2014, 03:30:29 AM those are some hardcore machines
Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: ZoomHash_Chris on March 17, 2014, 03:45:38 AM There are some good up and coming coins that are still ASIC resistant like VTC. Mining LTC with GPUs however might be a thing of the past.
Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: AndrewGucci on March 17, 2014, 06:09:30 AM VTC, MAX, there will be more coins for GPU.

Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: matt4054 on March 17, 2014, 06:53:59 AM VTC, MAX, there will be more coins for GPU. +1 The end of GPUs - the same was said late in 2012 and still early in 2013 until many people became aware of the public interest for a more accessible, distributed PoW than ASIC centralization offered for SHA256, and will offer for scrypt. And here come the new, anti-ASIC algos. Their value will grow as scrypt ASICs "take over" as OP implies. Wash, rinse & repeat Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon! Post by: Mr.V on March 17, 2014, 09:01:37 AM I mine Microcoin right now its ASIC resistant and easily marketable to the general public.
I was thinking now that ASIC's are coming out for scrypt instead of making ASIC resistant coins why not just lower the memory requirements for scrypt coins so that the hash/wat catches up with ASICs... that way GPU's will still be in the game right. For example, lower memory requirements so that a 7950 can pull 2000kh/s. At least this way the efficiency gap could be close to an asic miner Title: Re: Scrypt ASIC take over coming soon!
