Title: Do you trust the market or the business owners?
Post by: cuttie018 on August 30, 2019, 01:08:08 PM
Which crypto do you trust more, the one that is traded freely and nobody knows where the rate will go tomorrow (like Bitcoin) or the one that is under control of its developers (like Ripple, more or less)?

Where you would invest?

Why in the earth someone will like a centralized coin or project? The entire idea of crypto was decentralization. If you need a central hub then fiat is already there. :-P

Decentralization please.

I am not fan of a centralized project but we can not deny the fact that we are in an open market. Everything is possible and the price is determined by the players, even though the developers own almost all of their coin but still, they can not control the price as their wish. Let's see Ripple for example, did you know how high is their target? but look at it right now, if there is no demand everything will be worthless.

Centralized and decentralized projects will really be existing on this crypto market even the true essence of crypto is full decentralization but well we are already here where there are project owners whom do really target out even the opposite ones. Talking about on whats being asked, I don't trust any projects aside from bitcoin even on the top alts.
and speaking on price movement or future theres no one can able to predict such thing because community support or demand would always vary on a coins price. If there were no support then expect for its price to be low and as we have seen with Bitcoin where majorities confidence is on it that's why no matter how volatile it is we can really say that everybody does really prefer this coin.

I do prefer decentralised coins, but I do like XRP as well, and I think it could be a major influence in moving crypto into the mainstream. This is the eventual aim after all, we all want crypto to succeed. I think at this early stage - and it is still early - we should look for any success we can get in moving towards mainstream.

considering the currency under the control of its developer, which could also be referred to as Centralized currency, the value only exists with the control of the developer as the developer defines it,the developer is free to adjust the worth of that value to meet certain funding obligations or goals, many which may be at the detriment of the user. but the decentralized it more trusted as it is insulated from just any environmental policy.

What is the purpose of investing or storing our money on cryptocurrency if, in the end, someone else is holding our own wealth as their wish?
there is no way we would let it right and I bet nobody is willing to do that either, we want to free ourself from the shackle and control our own wealth as our wishes.

The answer is pretty obvious, people wanted to trade coins that are is nobody's control like Bitcoin. Nothing against Ripple, what we don't like centralised or bankers coin isn't it? Besides they have their own issue that up to this point are not resolved. So it's better to stick on a coin that it open and freely traded around the exchanges, wherein you don't know what will be the next price, and that is the beauty of it. Bitcoin trading is like a journey and others like it that way, IMHO.

The most interesting part in crypto investment if we don't know what next, thus it preferred to be in investing decentralize coin than those coins that are being controlled by someone else. We can possibly get huge profits from decentralizing market if we are in the right timing, when to sell and when to buy.
But then, we need to be strategic trader otherwise, we still get nothing.

Crypto is known to be decentralized and that's why it's being loved by the people. But if you are into those kind of coins that are centralized, no one stops you from liking them but my personal preference would be the first one that describes bitcoin.

I have invested and waiting patiently for bitcoin's rise again. I don't care on how long it will take until it goes back to the top as long as I know what I do and I trust bitcoin more than any other altcoins that are centralized.

Trust more on bitcoin and the rest to be used to bet on the centralized coin.  ;D
I always go for bitcoin first as the truly decentralized crypto which has stable growth and decentralized as the main guarantee and then goes to the centralized crypto but it's not as ripple that is the truly centralized crypto and im still prefer investing in another centralized coin.

Yes, we are in the decentralized form of the market but some of the coins around are being controlled by a group of people which will affect the price as well. Though we wanted to be fully in decentralized but they are part of crypto existence and yet they are performing well and help the market alive. Either we like it or not, we just have to accept it. In fact, many traders and investors are using this centralized coins, it is also profitable indeed.

You should have change the title to “What do we choose Centralized currency or Decentralized”? Because it seems that those are the factor for choosing.
I prefer to still buy Bitcoin because I believe in privacy and not being controlled by anyone but us traders.
Government will always take a piece of cake in each time not like now that we are free to do everything  in our own control and nothing taken from us

It seems to me that such a question is not needed on this forum. Most of those who come here opt for decentralization. And I choose that.
Of course, there are many projects (most on the Ethereum platform) whose assets are centralized. But this is still not comparable to BTC.

Bitcoin is the spearhead of all crypto coins. So this coin will definitely continue to give surprises. As in this year that the price rises very sharply. I am always investing in Bitcoin and are always looking for centralized coins that have good potential for investing.

Speaking centralized coin, I think it can still generate great profits. Because this crypto is a very large industry and all the coins can have the potential to be a valuable coin.

Of course, decentralized currencies like bitcoin and ethereum will be chosen by many of us because of their superiority in privacy, speed of transactions and other factors that make everyone hold and trust, Ripple is also a good currency for investment, But it is not as popular as the Bitcoin nor as its market value, and bitcoin makes double the investment profit for its holders, not like ripple and other currencies.

I am not a fans of centralized nor decentralized. Because you ask about owner, of course i believe someone who responsibility of their project such as real project demo eervices or products. If it about market, sometimes i not really sure about the market. Because fast selling token periode on ICO or IEO doesn't mean that project is good. Many project claimed they got many investor but when start listing on exchange, their token/coin not have good volume.

you have to be pretty mad to "invest" in any altcoins let alone in a centralized shitcoin like XRP that they only pump and dump for a short time.
for 10 years it has been proven that bitcoin is the only good thing to "invest" in because it has true potential that makes it go up in the long term.

altcoins are only good for short term and good for the day traders who participate in the pump and dumps for a short amount of time.

I would prefer something in between. That is, a Cryptocurrency, developers have no real powers over but has some sort of automated extreme price/dumping control system. Such system will protect the cryptocurrency from getting dumped and promote sustainable uptrends

Bitcoin has created and the world of cryptocurrency is born. Bitcoin is decentralized so I'd rather trust a decentralized coin like Bitcoin rather than those coins that is centralized.

On the other side, there are some centralized coins that have already earned the trust of the investors like Ethereum or Ripple or Litecoin but take note that anytime they can go away with the money they are holding.

Sincerely speaking without being sentimental, both of them works hand in hand, I care about the project development and I care about the developers also and that is what makes a project a perfect one, you might trust the developer and then have nothing to offer through a quack project which will make you waste lots of money like some of us have wasted, and also, if the developer is bad with great project, they would also run away with the money, all they need to do is deceive us with a solid white paper and then get money  which we have seen lots of them around.

It is better we focus more on a project that will have both outstanding quality; this is the only way that existing investors can encourage new ones to come in often.  In any business, recommendation and referrals mattes a lot.

If it is fiat then i would go for the business owners but if it is crypto i would go for Bitcoin, simple as that. Why would anyone want a centralized cryptocurrency where a decentralized digital asset like Bitcoin existed already? Most of us may choose the centralized one because the government told you they could protect your asset but on the other side, they were the one also who can take what is rightfully ours.

I prefer a decentralized cryptocurrency like bitcoin than the one that is under the control of the owners. Last time the USA senator refer to other coins as shitcoin and that is because there are centralized and the founders are using them for business purpose and not to favour the general public. Bitcoin system has rated to be the best form of money and it has stand strong no matter what has happened in terms of attack and publicity. I love bitcoin because it is decentralized, it is reliable and we can have confidence in its growth.

The first one. Because when the coin is traded freely and not controlled by anything, it will be fair for people because supply and demands or maybe news which make it move in price. When price controlled by company or maybe developers, it wouldn't be fun or maybe we must really aware because only them who know when price will they drive. And they can actually make any price move like what they want.

If you mean the whales they will just always interfere if the market is too stable, they will not choose a coins that is lack of support from the community. If the market traders were constantly moving then expect the whales to come in between that would make the market move the way they want it.

Now the coins that I believe to trade are only in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Now we see that Bitcoin is capable of pumping. So I will also wait for Ethereum to return the pump.

But the market now focuses on Bitcoin, we can observe that Bitcoin is dominating. Even with the dominance of Bitcoin, this makes Altcoin prices decrease.

This year BNB was achieve best altcoin on short term so right is take rest and it will be a best investment current value. So those are looking for long term investment and promising platform BNB is a best choice for this year.

I trust the coin that is trusted by most people and that is non other than BTC.
Today, it's dominant rate has increased to 71.0% and that would clearly say on how its trusted of all the coins.

XRP is centralized, they only grow because of big investors playing with the price and I don't think there is a massive adoption for that coin compared to the potential adoption of bitcoin. Bitcoin is really a good coin for long term, it's not the best in terms of system but what makes it successful is because a lot of people are trusting it and when the market is down, we will see which coin will prevail and obviously we are seeing it on bitcoin now.

That's it! If we trust the person handling that business, there is no reason why we never trust their products.
The success of any business is coming from the trust of the community. That is why business owners would give their best to deliver the best product and protect their reputation, and proving that they are worthy of our trust.

Since 2018 I have been focusing more on crypto-market trading. Trading like Bitcoin has a big challenge. But it is capable of generating enormous gains. I was able to make a profit but sometimes suffered losses too. But this trade will definitely not face a fake project. I focus more on Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Business owners like ICOS have decreased quality. We will be careful not to face false projects. However, IEO is now a different system with the ICO. But we are also vigilant and still, do research.

Trading is the best way to make a profit. After businesses like ICO, IEO, and STO, we need to be smarter to define projects. But if trading on a good coin like BTC and ETH will be safer.

But in this industry, all jobs can make money. So that every opportunity that exists such as ICO, IEO, and STO, should we be able to utilize it well to make money.

Bitcoin is only for safe investors and wants to make a profit in the long term so this will not help small investors to make good money. I think investing altcoin is the best solution for everyone but the risk will be great because if the value of Bitcoin decreases, all altcoins will tend to depreciate very quickly. I have lost a lot of money in the past but if you have good knowledge then you will know how to invest effectively

But i have a problem when it comes the developer because  its very difficult for me to determine how legit it is. Looking at Ethereum, Ethereum is not fully control, infact Ethereum is one hell of a fully decentralized system even if they have ownership or team. You cannot compare the control of Ethereum to companies like ripple that controls to the extent of controlling the prices, because if they are not controlling the prices, all these while that they have been hyping it and all these while they have been claiming that there are so many users that are using their platform, how come their prices has been stagnant like all these table coins?

To me, I would still classify Ethereum to the group of not controlling coins like bitcoin and I think those are the best coins to invest in for now, because of its volatility which makes it possible to have a high gain through it.

Free trade has been giving me profit. And trading, in my opinion, is more challenging and if generating direct profits is more enjoyable. Investing under development, in my opinion, is good, but sometimes we also experience things that are detrimental to us. Such a development project but failure. They have to work hard to get investors. Moreover, fake projects can be a serious threat.

Every investment has a risk, but if the coin already has a large volume and a large community, I think it will reduce the level of risk. And this thing I do and trading is very profitable. But of course the market conditions are volatile, so I also suffer losses.

Investing in development may have huge risk. And for now, I do not invest in the project.

Which crypto do you trust more, the one that is traded freely and nobody knows where the rate will go tomorrow (like Bitcoin) or the one that is under control of its developers (like Ripple, more or less)?

Where you would invest?
It’s incomparable Ripple doesn’t seems to be called cryptocurrency because of being centralized so there’s no need to choose because it’s still bitcoin who’s always been the winner

Don’t you ever forget that you are in crypto community so there’s no place for Ripple to be compared to bitcoin lol

It's undeniable that Bitcoin did the good game at all, but we must take our stand against the current market struggles. The situation is getting more difficult as of now, so learn how to manage it. Don't push yourselves to uncertain decisions.
Leaving into the edge that the market will turn very difficult to look at. Anytime soon, the market will change and we don't know how it looks like.
With all this matter, there is nothing to do but to rely on what the developers will do in order to survive. Giving our support is something it could help for them and for the betterment of crypto in the future.

Bitcoin to date is my best option in investing. This year 2019 I am very pleased because Bitcoin is back pumping very high. I hope that this Bitcoin pump can survive and can even climb higher again.

When talking about investing in the business in development, I think at risk. And if not convinced by investing in development, it is better not to do so. However, if you look at the big odds and you're sure what you're doing, you can do it. Trading requires high patience. And what makes the coin in development difficult to evolve as many projects die.

I am not fan of a centralized project but we can not deny the fact that we are in an open market. Everything is possible and the price is determined by the players, even though the developers own almost all of their coin but still, they can not control the price as their wish. Let's see Ripple for example, did you know how high is their target? but look at it right now, if there is no demand everything will be worthless.
even now many project are promoting and trying to invit people for migrate from centralized to decentralized platform, of course we can't deny if we still needed centralized platform with more efectively and eficiency time, because the both have weaknesses and strengths, but they must be integrated

I would probably trust the business owners of course, they will create the msrket and when you have a good community just like what happened to btc. Market will be automatically created and for sure it will soar high. Though you have to consider some factors such as negative things like FUD, market manipulators and pros and cons.

I will look at and invest in both. Because the leader is also very important, the business direction of the business is also very important, the lack of 1 of 2 will not create success for the business. That is one of the basic rules of fundamental analysis.

I personally trust the market more, since no one controls it, as for example it is done with business
The dominance of bitcoin is growing daily because of this, people trust more of coin that is not being controlled, any market that is not being controlled will definitely show the effort of the community on it.

Decentralization is very powerful, and people are not novice to know the difference between centralization and decentralization, and not novice to know the benefit of both, and because we accepted to use some centralized projects does not mean that we will always accept any centralized projects thrown at us. It is better to deal with the market that does not have any third party involved. So, may exchanges hasgine with our money today because we fail to rely on the exchange that is not being controlled which are decentralized exchanges.

There is no assurance that its market will soar high. Okay, let's imagine that it has soared high but do you think that it will last for long? the coins and projects that has owners can be easily manipulated.

The management itself can simply dictate what the price is which can be their benefit. Unlike the decentralized coins and markets, it may be manipulated for a while but its growth can still come up naturally.

I don't fully trust the business owners. Many projects in development have failed. My focus is now only on Bitcoin because this coin dominates the market. Even this makes many altcoins decline. Bitcoin in 2019 gave me an advantage because, at the beginning of the year 2019, I have withheld Bitcoin.

Though, sometimes, good developers contributes to the growth of the coin if they are working hard to present or

Yeah,,, this is kind of the picture I see with my coins in Litecoin, and Waves. Good developers just slowly improving the coin without much hype, and they are not even famous to me. That is fine.

I don't really trust the owner because obviously he won't say bad about his project everything comes out of his mouth is praising his project.
On the other hand, the market movement is unpredictable so you never know whats you're going to get if you trust those movements.
instead, make it a habit when you are about to invest in some project it is better to research it on your own then have an act of courage to follow your own judgement when investing.

Investors will look into the inner part of the project and not just looking it in the outside part. Cause if you only consider the outer part of a project, it certainly is attractive and you could see high offerings which are feasible into a way of scams.
It is really hard to give trust now especially when there are no working product as it most coming projects today turn into a scam in the long run.

If you want to warn the exchange owners, this is not the right place but the exchange license isn't given with easy conditions. The minimum requirements are having at least a liquid deposit and the legal documents. Getting a licence is easy for the business whales but the gaps in the law make it hard to get a comply with pre-determined requirements by the government.

Some projects are started by the qualified professionals business accelerate centre owners but the idea was used by other teams a while ago. Market makers also don't suggest to make a reckless decision in the crypto business and they saw what happens to the unsighted projects aforetime.

I see the market potential or the business owner all very well. It's just that we have to be careful about investing and all risks. Since 2018 many business projects such as ICOS are experiencing failures and many people are losing money. A good strategy to make a profit is to trade by buying Bitcoin and Ethereum. Investing in both of these coins, in my opinion, is safer and has the potential to grow bigger when compared to other coins.

And i will agree with it because controlled coin will make people afraid if sometime it get dumped or maybe will die anytime.

Most centralized coin operators are always biased on their operation and they will never really do anything in favor of the investor or the user even if they claim they are. Most of these centralized exchanges one day will eventually stab us in the back when the government come on them and it would never take the government a fight for them to have our information and no matter the anonymity we say that we are under, it will still be exposed by them and government would still be able to place a big tax for those that will be tax and still make processes of payment quite slow.

Bitcoin is still the only coin that I really trust to give us or continue to give us that one true decentralization of coins that we really need and I hope that we are all for it more.

Free trade since 2018 was my choice to make a profit. Free trade certainly also declined, but still able to make a profit. Investing in business owners like ICOS, IEO and STO still have huge risks, so I haven't dared to invest in the project. Maybe if it's just following the Bounty campaign project, I think it doesn't matter because it doesn't risk losing money. If the season returns like 2017 I dare to invest in various ICO projects, IEO and STO.

You always have to put your hope in something. I do not trust a lot of things I use sometimes to be honest but I have no choice. Like my phone/data provider. I have very few in my country to choose from because of my area (signal is very poor) but either I have no signal or force myself to use a provider I hate because of past incidents.

The same for some crypto services I guess. You think I trust any exchange? No way. But sometimes I got no choice.

I always like taking risks with potential coins.
BTC2 is an example. I really like their silent development, they don't exaggerate too much when they don't have it yet. Until now, there were quite a few investors who knew about it and it is operating in a fairly large network and supported by many miners around the world. Therefore, I think this is a good time to buy BTC2 before its price rises to $ 100 per coin.

honestly I prefer investing in bitcoin because it is consistent with the fact that market price movements are based on the demand and supply of many people. however, several other types of coins can also provide benefits. but if you choose a centralized project, of course the risk is greater because not everyone will like it, especially if over time many investors leave the possibility that related projects cannot develop and cause coins to become worthless.

And to add also, centralized project like ripple has high chance that they will control the market for the benefit of their pockets. They might be playing the market to get more money while bitcoin on the other hand, is free to trade and no single entity is benefiting the price movement. So on my end, I would go for bitcoin no doubt.

Bitcoin isn't understand control of anybody of a y developers we know that because npbitcoun is minirable unlike altcoins is by the control of the project devs but the success of every project is on the help of the investors. But yeah it's possible altcoins can manipulate by the devs but I strongly stand bitcoin isn't manipulated by the group or under the devs.

but remember, no single individual or group can manipulate bitcoin prices unlike centralised ones. we all know who is manipulating the market whenever there is a sudden considerable change of price in the market for centralised.
and if theres no good reason why the price is pumping, we will doubt the intentions of the developers of these centralised coins
so who will you trust, the centralised coin with questionable existence or the decentralised one?

I think depending on who the owner is, if they have an owner who has a big name and a big influence. Lets say bill gates, who doesn't believe in the innovation that he brings? everyone believes that his innovation will definitely be very useful and used by many people. Investors must be ready to support their funds, because they trust him. I think trust is seen in their background. just like bitcoin, when bitcoin is decentralized and not controlled by anyone, we will trust it and use it.

I personally prefer to invest in a decentralized cryptocurrency..  I see investing in decentralized cryptocurrency more likely to benefit in the future than investing in centralized cryptocurrency, just look at how many thousand percents increase the price of Bitcoin from 2010.

This is a complex question if you ask me. You are equating trust to market prices which doesn't really follow any fundamental strength of a coin. Market price movements are basically buying and selling because of the perceived expectations of the traders. You may trust the management of some trade-able asset but doesn't translate into an appreciation of price.

I trust only decentralized coins like bitcoin which can be traded by anyone and who can grow if a lot of people buy them and also not have the risk to have any problem and risk to have the blockchain stopped.

In my own personal opinion, I would prefer both. I think it's all about timing and taking all of your time while picking a certain crypto to invest with. There are instances where bitcoin's value rises very high and there also time that the same thing happens for those crypto whom developers have control with. It's more about the season and also, don't forget, your strategy. While the price of a certain crypto is not that high yet, keep on buying, afterwards start holding then sell it our when the price is already too high.

But we can at least do make some presumption. When we do talk about XRP(ripple) we've known that this had high potential on being manipulated if we do
try to check top wallets that holds most of its supply and with that alone we can really able to make such presumption of possible situations might happen
ahead if we do talk about price movement situation.

Bitcoin is free and it's not controlled by a party. But ripple has already fully controlled by the company. You may need to read more about how both of these platforms works. I hope that you can try to see the fact if bitcoin is fully decentralized.
In our world, nothing can be completely decentralized, even Bitcoin. I think that many influential people have already bought more than 30% of all bitcoin. Ordinary people have very little Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is decentralized in term of its system, stellar is centralized in term of its system.

But in the market, Both can be controlled by whales, this is money power
we can't blame that, people who have much money indeed can do as they want.

Yeah, everybody does that, including me, but speculating on the basis of facts is sometimes inaccurate. Therefore such speculations must be strengthened by technical analysis of the market whether the market supports the movement that we think about or not. Sometimes when we think like that, it's just a FUD or FOMO.

Looking at the market price that is dumping, I am not sure if trading in the market because the price is unstable, most coins cannot maintain its popularity in the market, I prefer investing in bitcoin because it has proven its popularity over time, investing money in bitcoin in the long run can give us profits and risk is also small

Bitcoin for investing and altcoins for trading. This is the best option combination that we could do right now because bitcoin price is still cheap and it's really recommended to invest, and the price of atlcoins is so agile, many altcoins has more than 10% growth in 24 hours.

I am that type of person who loves to take risk and loves challenges as well as surprises. In terms of investing I would surely go to the one that is traded freely and is unpredictable on when, how or what will going to happens next right after I have got engaged into it like Bitcoin. I would also love getting into a project that is controlled or manage by its developers but that will be just sometimes because those type of projects are really promising and really looks catchy for me making me get to engaged into it. But generally, I would go into a crypto that is free for trading because I believe that cryptocurrency stands for being decentralized and I prefer to be into that system because with projects that are managed by developers, many things can happen depending on what the developers decision will be.

bitcoin is good enough for long-term investment plus the price is cheap now and I think it is suitable to buy it the most important thing is we must always do research when we want to invest or do daily trading

more trusted with market so i trust bitcoin in this case than all coins under  controls by developers. because when the price control by developer its not good and   difficult to increase  price..   be better to choose bitcoin the price not controled, its good for trading and real control   by people in buy and sell in the market

It's cheap for the whales but not for all of people. You must not think if all of people are having a lot of money and they can buy anything especially bitcoin. 7k dollars for each bitcoin is too much for the small traders like me and maybe some people too.

In my estimation $7000 is the lowest point of bitcoin prices this year, so, it is indeed very profitable to buy at current prices, I don't think we should buy One BTC for investment and if we have enough money to buy half a BTC, why not ? But in a market condition like this, honestly I would rather buy some altcoin for my investment assets rather than buy BTC.
