Ethereum is the best smart-contract platform. It is well-established, has solid support and a strong dev team. Smart contracts have the potential to transform society through automation of inefficient manual processes, increasing speed and reliability and reducing cost. The march of automation is inevitable and is always advancing into new areas. Inevitable because whoever adopts the cheapest, fastest and most reliable approach gains a commercial advantage. Smart contracts are the next big thing.

TBH I'm a bit sick of the altcoin=shitcoin argument. Certainly some altcoins are worthless and irrelevant, but I don't think it makes any sense to say they all are. Bitcoin is great, but that doesn't mean it's the one-stop-shop answer to absolutely everything.

I can agree 100% with Litecoin. It is really no different from Bitcoin but it is smaller, faster, and will always be cheaper for sure, but because of the relationship with Bitcoin will be the first among altcoins to gain from Bitcoin growth. No other reason.

I would shill Monero every day over Binance coin. First privacy coin and probably only one with real use. No other reason.

Okex token or OKB, this is the best utility token besides the overpriced BNB token. Its price is around or even less than $3 right now, and so far based on CMC statistic OKEx is the biggest exchange number 2 in term of real volume compared to others. And their IEO is as hot as Binance. Did you remember how low BNB is a year ago?

I just have to hold Eth, Ltc and Top 10 coins from coinmarketcap. the reason is simple. because they have market capitalization that is difficult to engineer.

There are many good altcoins which have good potential and a big volume of trading. Not all altcoins are shitcoins. Ethereum, EOS, and BNB for examples are really considered among the most promising cryptocurrencies actually. BNB price gets doubled many times since its creation, and the communities of ETH and EOS are increasing daily almost.

Many of us suggest to have ethereum, and I agree with that. But don't forget there is a lot of altcoins that we can choose for the investment, especially at this moment because every altcoin can have the potential to increase higher. So maybe we will have different altcoin to suggest but don't forget to analyze each coin that every member recommend here so we can find what we want. Don't just buy any coin without analyzing the history because that is our clue to get the right coins.

If you are looking for good altcoin i suggest go with Ethereum because that is the only altcoin in the market that have an ability to survive in any situation.. It always follow as well along with bitcoin, especially when there's a bullish  which is very affected. so you can assure you can make good profits on it unlike others.  Which is has a opposite direction.

That is correct information, almost all altcoins increase during the bull run but some traders confuse to understand the connection between the top coins and altcoins. Investing in the ETH will not be profitable as the investment in the last 50 coins on the coinmarketcap list. Choosing the best altcoin is the wrong treatment by the inexperienced traders, some projects get stronger than ever with the years compared to the projects which the development is delayed in the previous years.

HT, Huobi Tokens that are owned by Huobi exchanges are worth your consideration, because exchange is the main goal of traders and investors to make profits or start investing. Therefore tokens from the exchange platform are very interesting and have promising prospects in the future.

I now choose ethereum and litecoin. both of these coins become one of the things that might have the greatest potential to become the best coin and make a profit. I think maybe now only these coins are still bright among the low markets

Well, all in this thread is surely agreeing that Ethereum is the best Altcoin out there, And a 100% not shit coin, And with other Altcoin's that I prefer that is in my portfolio are,

Binance - That is now the number one Exchange site and has many users that now are providing good services and a decent Altcoin to date.

Monero - For me, this is my second pick of all Altcoins it has a higher degree of privacy than Bitcoin, Others can not see your balance or track your activity.

Stellar - For me even with its poor price at the moment Stellar is one of the Altcoin that proves itself, It is an open-source decentralized protocol that allows cross border transactions between any pair of currencies.

Well, this is the only three I can show and I think had an opportunity to grow in the future but don't let yourself just trust some total stranger just feed you information they just know research for your self and decide what coins suit you best.

Shilling new coins would be great if the project is promising but it would be better if you go straight to the reputable coins already like the top coins in the market cap. There you can find the ETH, LTC, BNB and many more, you should invest those coins if you are planning to HODL for the upcoming bullishness after bitcoin break the new ATH.

I would shill some non-fungible token collectables but as they are erc721 and under ETH, I will shill ETH instead. Because NFT will be the next big thing.

I'm a huge fan of Lightning, but don't like the centralized part of it - Seems like Stakenet got a solution to make it Decentralized, which is pretty damn cool.

It is not just Ethereum that OP/investors have to choose since there are lots of other good altcoins that is worth it to hold/invest. Investors are so lucky to buy some altcoins during the dips of Bitcoin to hodl until Bitcoins new ATH come maybe next year or this coming December.

You are asking people to shill you there coins and you are expecting not to get shitcoins, you will see a long list of shitcoins that you have never seen before because most of the coins that are aside the top 200 are all shitcoins that, most of us has out of faith believed that something good will come from it , but all along has been full of disappointment, I still not shill a coin to you but I will tell you the truth about the altcoins that is worth investing it.

Right now, as at when I am writing this post, the only coin that you can invest in are the top 20 coins, because they are old projects and as at the time they were released, most people came to the market with a clear mind, intention and great tam, and the backbone of any project is a great team.

Ethereum : Good currency after Bitcoin in spread and most traded, It is a good investment option and many large companies have been involved in the Ethereum project, This currency will have an impressive future, given its increased market value.

Dash : The investment of this currency will be good a good choice because it has good advantages in the speed of transactions and great privacy and the market value is suitable to give an investment return.

Litecoin : Very good currency and useful for all investors and what distinguishes it's quick transactions and the cost of cheap transactions, We must buy it because its market capital is moderately low as it has a good chance of growth.

Any smart contract coin has huge potential. ETH I suppose is the number one choice, there's a reason it's the top cap alt.

if you look at a chart of top 100 cmc, you can see all coin are drop now from ATH, so i can't suggest which one coin will profitable.
all coin drop above 80% except BNB i dont know this is a good or bad for other, but for now all in the same situation.
but i will recomend bitcoin for the best, then you can keep some ETH,BNB,XLM,XRP.

Good, but maybe you need to analyze the altcoin market because I see many altcoins are prepared to increase high. And if you can get the right altcoin to buy, I am sure you will get a profit in bitcoin. Maybe ethereum will be a good choice to buy as we can see now, the price is still not increasing too high so your chance will bigger in making a profit. Litecoin will increase at the right time, especially if the bull market arrives and I believe that litecoin can break the high price too. But that is up to you, and if you prefer with bitcoin, then you can hold tight your bitcoin until the price increases.

I totally agree with what you said. Popular altcoin can only give x1 or x2 profit when the bull market start ,unlike other altcoin that can posibly give you 10x profit or more even 100x profit if you are lucky.
But this things will only happen if the bull market start so better collect potential coin that you think is cheap now in the market and wait for the next bull run.

Right now, I have 3 altcoins those are ethereum, ripple and binance coin. But, I focus on buying binance coin because the price is now around 15$ unlike last month it's around 20$+. Why should anyone buy those token? the answer is because of the great price in the future. I have seen one thread that tackles about binance coin which may reach the price of 50$ and I know there are also some updates about ethereum that might trigger the price to increase again. For OP, I've been thinking that the coin that won't end up to scam is you have to choose the coin in the top position on the market.

Such as ETH, Tron, BCH and etc, I believe those coin won't end up to shitcoin. Even, I just have a prediction for ETH, when the price of eth touch the paek at 2017 ago, its price well-off to reach $1200 and now its price just $177, so now is the good time to store your money it and I bet it won't make you fall short of it.

If your choices of altcoins belong to the top 100, there is actually no need to explain. Their rank is enough explanation already in my opinion. They would not have climbed that high and passed by thousands of other altcoins if they are not the cream of the crop.

Ethereum (ETH) is my topmost choice. The rest include Monero (XMR), Litecoin (LTC), Bancor (BNT), Waves, Cardano (ADA), and Icon (ICX).

In new market conditions Top 100 is not enough for being at safe side. There more than 650 project which doesn’t not have any new one single code.

I used to have a lot of assets because I like having lots of altcoins and didn't focus on just a few assets. but now I only have BTC, BNB, LTC, and ONE. I have not yet determined how long I will survive with this asset that I have. but for the short term I am sure I will not sell it.

Stratis was a performer. I'm not following it anymore after I sold all my holdings. Good coin, its just not substantial if you don't own about 5K of it, I didn't trade so I was just holding my Stratis and sold lat year.

If I have to shill some of the tokens I hold, I would also be recommend the EIDOO. This is a wallet with the hybrid decentralized exchange on it, you can compare this project to the new project such as Volentix (VTX).

most people will hold the popular altcoin they feel that the price will be higher in the future. Well, nobody would say the popular altcoin is shitcoin.
in general, people will hold ETH, BNB, LTC, BCH, SV BCH, Waves, Thether, EOS, and other popular altcoins. the reason is easy, tHAT altcoin has development is clear until now.
until now I also only held Ethereum and started thinking of holding BNB, or LTC.

Tezos still hasn't proved himself. Although it is a very nice project, the price did not rise. This will change. I think 10 dollars is not far to Tezos. When the price of Bitcoin goes up, the price of Tezos may also increase rapidly.

Viacoin.  Price is very attractive in sats right now.  The coin was started in 2014 and still is being actively developed on by some very talented developers.  At the core it serves the same space as bitcoin does while providing a much faster conformation time.  Viacoin is accepted at a decent amount of places as a means of payment.  At this price it's a decent steal.

I don't understand how the Via and VTC have so low prices. They have very good technology. The last was hacking on Via. It was a huge loss of prestige. Now more money is pouring into new projects. Change the name and make ICO again? why not

ethereum, is the first best altcoin to be bought and held. ethereum has very fast and good developer growth. it was proven by the clever contract design that supported thousands of new projects based on the blockchain token. The second might be BNB, the same base as ethereum but it is simpler and lighter in transactions, and has very large investors. besides that BNB already has DEX and CEX markets

ETH and LINK, it's 2 most trust able altcoins that I can recommend this time. They have a solid team and huge market cap, so it'll ensure for the project development in the furture.
And for smaller cap, you can refer Smart Valor (VALOR Token), they are pioneers in STO, Alternative Assets and Tokenized Assets, which I think will become the trend in the future. They have acquired a lot of important licenses related to it, and can operate in the US.

In the future when bitcoin bull run starts, altcoins that are at the top are still the only coins that will ever rise along with bitcoin, most of those other coins that are not within the group may really never see much growth as investors would not pay much attention to them as they do for most of the coins that are within the top 10 to 200.

I can agree with all of this. Would like to add to Ethereum in the fact that we know POS is coming eventually also. Tron is great because of all the Dapps, the instant transfer of coins with almost no fees, and the fact that you can do pretty well investing them into some of the Dapps. I enjoy checking Tronlink everyday and having enough Tron to go and buy in at the poker table or re-invest if I wanted to. BNB will continue to go up even more as Binance gets more and more users.

some time ago I did save assets in the form of ethereum but at this time I no longer save assets in the form of ethereum because the movement of ethereum prices is very terrible and not easy to predict so it is better for me to secure assets in the form of bitcoin.

BNB is the best and will always be valuable because of it's demand.
And you have to buy them if you want to join binance events which most of those events are in trends right now.

I think good cryptocurrencies are anonymous cryptocurrencies, so Monero, Zcash should be held in high esteem by those who want to not shine their money in public. I also love Ethereum, because It is the main cryptocurrency for various decentralized applications and tokens. Litecoin I perceive as the silver among all cryptocurrencies, it should be in the portfolio of every crypto enthusiast. I also like Gram, and although this coin is not yet, the promises that the developers want to implement are very interesting and convenient for the community.

This year BNB will make rapid hype so all are buy and hold this coin. But more than 40% dump affect the many investors so Ethereum will make enough pump and dump all the situation. Ethereum is the most convenient platform for me and BNB is my second option.

You would notice that most will suggest the top coins in the coin market cap, especially ethereum. Looking at the top coins, Binance became worth more than $1 billion in less than one year, and thats definitely what you look at as investor.

If you are an investor who feels that the security of your investment is the most important aspect of all. That is primarily the reason why I also choose the top coins more than the coins that are ranked 1,000th or below. I only have very limited amount of investment and I want to see to it that they are invested into the most secured coins, and that is of course Ethereum, XRP, Litecoin, BNB, and some more.

But there are other investors who are more risky. They choose those at the low ranks and have low marketcaps for a faster growth of profit. That is risky but rewarding in the end if they are choosing right. It requires a lot of studying though.

Dusk Network - They have the most qualified team for building the exact thing they are building. That being the platform for trading securities and handling STOs.

Gods Unchained erc721 cards - Imho collectables in gaming is going to be huge if done right, GU is redoing the whole trading card game concept right. And looks like the timing is right after having so much runaways from Hearthstone.

I don't have a good altcoins to recommend for you but I have just found a great coin, bitcoin2.
It is definitely a great alternative to bitcoin in the future and I think the sharks will soon move to bitcoin2 and start pushing its price. Bitcoin2's technology is much better when using PoS instead of PoW, transaction fee is also very low and it is fully qualified to surpass bitcoin.

Take a look at Blocknet. One of the oldest projects, yet still in active development. Insanely undervalued given the fact that they have a working product already. The Blocknet DEX has a lot of trading pairs, which makes it possible to trade anonymously. No accounts needed, no KYC.

Litewallet is under development, making trading even easier. Besides that their Xrouter services will run on their masternodes which will provide a lot of blockchain interoperability services as they are developed.

Now is the IEO era, coins born of the average IEO are coins that have stable prices. For the case of my mainstay Coins, I save my money in coins / tokens based on TRON and Binance (BNB in this case). The reason why I chose it, because I see that for almost 1 year the token has increased and is arguably stable and of course now many tokens are adopting technology from TRX and BNB rather than ETH technology.

Well, my favorite altcoins that must be purchased are Ethereum, the toughest altcoins I know, because among the altcoins the other Ethereum
has always had a large volume and in recent years it always ranks second in the Coinmarketcap ranking. Next, what is mandatory to buy Litecoin
is a coin that is available in almost every exchanges having the advantage of cheap and fast transactions. And the last altcoins that must be purchased
are Binance coins or better known as BNB coins which are created by the largest exchanges currently the Binance exchanges have relatively stable price movements, and for this year among other altcoins BNB one of the coins which is experiencing an increase in prices quite quickly. That's the altcoins
that I recommend to buy and it's almost impossible for them to be shitcoins.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, ripple and Bch are my altcoins. As for me, these coins are always on top and has proven us a lot. They're not my favourite altcoins because they're popular but I like them because of their strong foundation and high trust rate. I believe that these coins could still go more in the future. I have no doubt that there will be more adoptions especially for Bitcoin to come.

I am currently investing in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Ripple because these coins are certainly not shitcoins, that is my favorite Altcoin with current market conditions then I take advantage of the opportunity to buy that's three coins for long-term investment. if you agree with me then you must also invest in those three coins.

ETH and BNB, because ETH has the second position of CMA and has a high trading volume so I still believe it has the opportunity to recover and reach other new ATHs, as well as BNB, I became interested because of faster transactions so that it is easier for me to make transactions using BNB, I believe BNB has potential because we know the owner of BNB is binance, so that's all

Bitcoin, Ethereum and binance coin. These are also my holding altcoins right now. In addition, I bought 300 pcs of XRP because I think anytime, they will fly. Remember, the development of each coin is too high. And if market will goes bull run, probably these coins will follow.
I think it is also good to buy coins in cmc below to the top 100. And I will hold it for long term.

Though I have many alt coins in my portfolio but if I have to recommend anyone alt coins it will be ethereum only. I don't have much confidence in other alt coins about there future. Alt coin in my view is just ethereum.

These three coins are not shit coins, if you see the price of BNB the price is already very good if you invest in 2018, for Ethereum and Litecoin I know that you are frustrated because prices tend to fall 1 year, so being patient is the key

Most of the users have Altcoin as their transaction tool. although right now the price of this coin is falling,but all this will soon be good.

Screw BNB.  It's trendy but it's success rides on binance's success, and we all have seen exchanges fall from grace, badly and in dramatic fashion.  What the hell do you think would happen to bnb if binance got hacked so badly that they had to shut down?

The other two are good choices.

My pick to shill would be Neo.  One of the best pos coins to earn income with, and it's seriously underrated in my opinion.  There are so many coins out there that even the really good ones like Neo fluctuate in popularity like crazy.  It's rare that you get a coin like that where you can earn and don't even have to keep the wallet running all day and night.  It's passive income, truly.

I don't like any alts in this market. It all seems to have been made a trick for loyal investors. Binance IEO projects all fell sharply, dividing 10 to 20 times more than the original price and now it has no incentive to increase. I lost too much money for these shit projects. Now I advise people not to believe in the technology or the promise of any project or alts anymore, it's not real! all should focus on bitcoin because 2020 will be a price boom of bitcoin.

furthermore, early next year would be launching Ethereum 2.0. many people have high hope on that news
So, I think it is good decision if you wanna hold it.

If there is a sudden boom in interest in Bitcoin and tons of people were investing a bunch of money into the market cap, don't you think that even just a portion of that money would find it's way into altcoins? Just because you lost money on altcoins does not mean that the future is bright for them. I can promise you, if people bump up the market cap for Bitcoin, then the price of a lot of the alts will rise with it. You can find an altcoin/btc market for just about every altcoin. The same can't be said for USD/altcoin. It takes Bitcoin to invest in some of these projects.

why should we do that? i'd be happy if the bitcoin got a little more acceptance and a healthy growth
of the whole market took place. some alts will have to die but some projects will always have space

I can confirm that BTC2 is not a shitcoin. A lot of people think it's a scam but I don't think so. Its PoS system is working very well and received many positive compliments to their system. Besides, I know that behind that is a team of money and can push the price very well. BTC2's value has been up to $ 36 and $ 10. so in the future it could repeat this record and maybe up to $ 100.

Have a higher chance to earned from this coin if you can take it for a long time holding. Considering the fact that it's tailing bitcoin each time the market rises up. If you can take your time reviewing the potential and you have spare money to use, this coin have a big projection to grow and provide decent opportunities for those who are willing to take the risk of adding this coin inside their wallets.

Everyone has a different opinion about the Ethereum because from 2018 the price of ETH is speculating hugely and in the coming days the price of ETH will surely increase due to huge development will release in the coming days, till now, we have seen such huge trend in the market for ETH. It is not managing to improve its price, but staying in the same position.
