Hello guys, I'm here because am so lost and confused about this whole thing of trading bitcoin or any other market as forex, stocks ...... first, when i started trading bitcoin it because i heard and saw many people talking about it and that you can make a lot of money. I mean yeah at first i made some profits by buying small amounts of bitcoin in Yobit then selling it again when the price goes up, but when day when the bitcoin went down i lost a lot of money.
I didn't quit trading but i moved to forex market. And as all they say technical analysis is the key to win in this market and there's many youtubers showing their money by trading forex anyway I'm not sure of it. The problem lately i watched some people saying that technical analysis is bullshit and I'm really confused

What i want to know is how can i become a successful trader and make money for the rest of my life. Should i learn technical analysis or harmonic patterns......
And which is the best market to trade for a beginner.

So many traders don't depend on either technical or fundamental, they just watch the market, enter and take their profit.


You have to practice a working pattern for you and rely on it.
Research for how to trade profitably.

How they can make profits just by watching the chart for that's not trading but gambling. And anybody can do that but eventually you'll lose all your money.

I'm not being greedy or want to be rich. What i want is to learn the right way to become a trader. I don't wanna wast my time learning something fake as they saying that technical analysis is bullshit.

Technical analysis is important weapon in trading but ofcurse we need to be carefuin every decision to avoid a lot of loses because we trading is also a luck games with have risk, the key is hard work with patience to become successful traders specially herein crypto because difficult to predict with potential coin up or down quick.

Don't focus on technical analysis just focus on "buy low and sell high" crypto or bitcoin is unpredictable and no signals.

Why some traders become successful and the other fails? Just because they don't have the same strategies to follow nor that optimistic and positive outlook towards the market. They become successful because they survive and learn from mistakes that they committed previously, giving them a hint to find out what's missing. Continuous learning and a strong commitment to their job brings them to achieve their goals and be recognized as a successful trader.

What you need to do is learning about how to find the right time to buy at a low price and sell high. That is the most important, and you need to analyze by watching the market. And if you are familiarized with the trend moves, I am sure you can get the right sign to buy at a low price. To be a successful trader needs a lot of things and not just learning from another source, but you also need to have to practice, which means you need to trade many times. I don't suggest you do forex trading because you will need to learn more than just analysis and indicator, and that will be more complex than crypto trading. Trading in forex, stocks and cryptocurrency needs special skills and understanding. I have tried to trade in all these market in the past and my advice to others is to start developing your skills yourself! You may need little explanation from the beginning and if you are unlucky you may meet bad instructors that will lead you in his own way. Start as little as you can because your experience is what builds your trading skills and understanding.

Although, there are many requirement to become successful in trading but simple ingredient is knowledge and able to work out a quality strategy, as there is just no way you will succeed otherwise. I normally keep my technical charts simple and it works for me, I don't know what will work or not work for you. I would just learn the basic ones if I were you and maybe learn the how to use the higher tools later. You could search which tools works better... If you really going to be a full time trader for the rest of your life then its worth to learn all the strategies available to predict the prices but don't trust any of them too much since cryptos are highly volatile.You can make either lot of money or lose everything as well so keep your coins diversified and stay on the basics of trading while buying and selling the crypto currencies.

Yes,you can make money for the rest of your life if you do able to get or manage yourself on such situation.How to achieve? This wont be built overnight and it might take years for you to get it on.What tools? Every strategy that you learn is not a waste of time because they all have their own area where they fit into, and if you are able to learn all the available strategy, if strategy A does not work here, then strategy B will work there.

The most important thing right now that you really need for you to become that successful trader is for you to accumulate enough of knowledge about trading cryptocurrency because it is really not easy, and never you rush into trading without first ensuring that you have made enough practices first so that you didn't end of losing and not know what the cause of it is. The best market is the one with high liquidity like binance. The higher the liquidity the less the exchange is prone to flash crashes.

That's true, but even the more reputable exchanges have orderbooks consisting of a lot of spoof orders (orders that are in the books but aren't meant to be filled). In the stock market spoofing is illegal, but in crypto that rule doesn't seem to apply yet, which is why you shouldn't pay too much attention to orderbook depth to either consider the market bearish or bullish.

Last year Ethereum went through a flash crash from ~$100 to ~$13 on CoinbasePro, which is the most reputable and most liquid actual fiat exchange. It's something you can't avoid unfortunately (or fortunately for those who get their low orders filled). Some exchanges do reverse the trades, so even if you managed to buy in super low, you will probably not benefit from it.

Being knowledgeable with TAs are highly recommended because this is your basic foundation in trading. Your experience and acquired skills through the years will aid you further in moving forward with trading. But you should not forget the basics. Though in crypto markets, TAs are not really applicable in some coins like the pump and dump ones, yet you need this to assess other markets.

the people who say that are just terrible at employing TA. they tried trading, lost some money, and now they tell everyone it's a scam. that's not to say TA is perfect nor easy to practice either, though. it takes rigor and you need to have a talent for it. most people don't have what it takes.

there are no "beginner" markets. which markets work best for you depends on your trading style. i hate trading stocks personally---too many fundamentals to worry about and i hate how the market is closed most of the time. bitcoin is perfect for my style: it's volatile, classical TA works well on it, and it trades 24/7.

That's what I also did when I first started trading and the only motivation that I have is what I heard, its easy to make money in trading, buy low and sell high, but after loosing money, that's the time I have to take it seriously, I started to learn how to use graphs and follow mentors and see how they did it.

Technical Analysis is bullshit to those who doesn't know how to use it or has not gained profits in using it or maybe, they know how to use they earned from it, but they simply hate using it because it will eat up their time analyzing candle sticks.

To become a successful trader you need to believe that Techincal and fundamental analysis only play a 10% role and the other 90% is psychological analysis. To learn what is psychological analysis and how important it is, read out the best trading book "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas, The early you read the better you learn.

You will always lose if you follow the strategy someone else I bet for it. Become a trader is not about learning what someone else did, you will only focus on their strategy and I think that is the bad thing. First thing that you can do is learn more the analyst either technical or fundamental and I suggest don't focus on youtube you need to read as well. I think psychology will affect a lot of your investment because the current market is not really good so surely many investors will have huge losses. I usually do not trade during this time period because the risk now is very high and it can completely put me under pressure to invest. I believe the current solution is to hold Fiat and wait for new growth in this market

You don't need to think of other people say because you don't know if that is true or not. The analysis that every trader learn will be different as we need to find what analysis that can help us to analyze the market. They can say analysis A will not work for them, but it's work for you, then they cannot say that is a bad analysis because you can use the analysis with good. What you need to do now is only learn as many others here suggest, find your own method to make a profit from trading. The technical analysis is the key to win in this market but that does not guarantee you been a successful trader because.
1) Technical analysis doesn't always give an accurate result due to the level fluctuations of the market.

Yes, you might have your own but of course, we need to see also what successful traders do before they'll got its name. That is very important to gather ideas and could help to create our own. Keep learning is what we need for in order to succeed and not just relying of a single strategy. Your biggest issue is your mentality, it seems you believe that if you learn a magic formula you will be set for the rest of your life, trading is a lot more than trading signals, your psychology plays a very important role, even if you were to develop a strategy that gave you a lot of profits it will be for nothing if you do not have the mental fortitude to follow your strategy after you have lost a few trades, another important factor is money management, many traders have good systems but their trades are too reckless and they lose all their capital before their system has a chance to make that money back.

OP probably missed something from what the others say, he/she might forgot the risk and just only focusing on earning every single day. Anyway, there is no wrong with that cause in the first place, that is our goal and that should be. But what I see to this person is that, he never knows really about crypto and don't have enough knowledge in trading putting himself/herself at full risk and getting worse of losing his/her hard work money.

With all sincerity, I have never been to a trading school before and the level of what I know In trading today which has paid off for me was gotten through YouTube and some articles that I do read over the internet. Provided that one has the ability to learn on one's own.

YouTube is still the best place to actually learn because on YouTube, the learner will be exposed to different tutors from different part of the world, and they all have their own strategies which they usually share with their viewers, I think that it would be best sometimes to just always go on YouTube even as an already existing trader to learn from those that are better than us, and you know that developing a strategy requires getting lots of experiences from different angles.

About trusting bots, you may want to think you don't trust bots, but you do every single day of your life, even with things ore important than money.

So, it's mostly a matter of getting familiar with a good platform that gives you total control on what the bot does. And the bot should do what you tell it to do, not what a random person has pre-configured. You should be able to backtest strategies with historic data and paper-trade until you feel comfortable with it. Then start trading with small funds until you are confident everything is going well.

Of course to become a successful trader you must knowledgeable in everything , what i mean all the related things  about doing ,wherein in order to reduce risky situation and you know what to do if there's a problem occur. Each individual has its own goals and experiences but still there are some general gidelines that could help in efforts to become successful trader. Learning TA/FA was easy everyone can do that, but having a good emotional & psychology went doing a trade was really hard. Theres nothing wrong with it but you should know that not all people do have the same mindsets or behavior when it comes on sharing up something into others specially on money making and as we all know that some or majority are greedy and don't tend or plan to share it out even into their closest friends or even into their relatives.There are people that are like that which doesn't like on giving their profitable strategy but even if you do share up it doesn't mean it would be profitable to someone you had shared into.
Profitability will also depend on your timing and decision making into trading circumstances and not all having the same jurisdiction when it comes to situations being faced up.

A successful trader will reach his goal if he has the right time to buy and sell and especially have patience to monitor the price going up and down to save profit in every trade its really hard to monitor but thats the only way to have profit in every trade. This will give us a sure income in every trade.

do your research and be careful what you do. Don't lose hope in fact there's are still other good project despite of the situation of market so keep searching. You did not read my response, what I am saying is that many of the books out there about trading are sharing strategies about how to beat the market but those strategies do not really work and are not profitable, now while at first glance it may seem as if there is nothing wrong with teaching your profitable strategy to others, if you have one to begin with, the problem is that most people cannot remain silent about it and eventually more people will use your strategy, and as more people use the same strategy to earn money the less effective it becomes.

Not just we keep on searching cause its numbers it only eating up our time.
To become a successful trader is just like having a long term commitment knowing the fact that we can't simply become successful for a day but it takes years to prove that we are a champion. If we don't have that long-term commitment, we are just simply missing it to achieve what we are aiming for.

It is not just we say and keep saying to become a successful trader without doing anything cause it is only made impossible to happen.

Sometimes because the mistake we already do gives us motivation to become successful just like in trading.
Traders become failed before but because of that failure they will not do that again and change their routine in trading which is changing startegy and keep learning in trading to get more profit. But knowledge is really big help for us.

Trading is really risky, crypto or non-crypto. You just need to know that in cryptocurrency, there you can see so much volatility on the market.

I highly suggest not to trade and if you do, never use leverage. Bitcoin has these 500-1000USD wicks every other day or week and if your using even 3x leverage up or down. You will get liquidated or your stop loss will get hit. Exchanges that offer leverage or a place to trade make a killing off the funding rate and these wicks that occur. Now if your exchanging for alt coins that is a different story. One thing to note is bitcoin has never gone to 0 and has only gone up. So long term buying has been a good bet to make.

It is all about passion, you cannot work hard if you do not have passion. It is also the cure for laziness. If you really want to become a trader, then passion will become your trigger for you to study harder in order to enhance more your skills. If we will prioritize to learn, then anything is possible. We can also avoid huge losses if we will improve our trading psychology.

Forex and cryptocurrency are two different market although forex is more profitable considering it's more predictable and less volatile than cryptocurrency market. The skills needed in both market differs too, while as forex depends on a more technical approach, cryptocurrency can still be profitable without relying on technical analysis.

I'll suggest you learn both trading technique, they'll come in handle in different market condition, a successful trader in my opinion is a trader that have master the craft of trading and failure is hardly experience during his/her professional time of trading. A successful tradet has to be willing to learn from their previous mistake to improve on themselves.

To be a successful trader doesn't only depends on profiting from your traders since every trader can be profitable but it depends on how you have developed yourself over the years, master a strategy that you can deploy anything and it works perfectly for you, been able to adjust to any market condition and still profit etc.

Agreed that knowing the patterns of the market is very important. In fact, practicing on investing or trading can help you improve on trading skills. When you start by practicing on smaller currencies or prototypes, you can learn and observe how trading works. doing your own market/trends research is also very important as the market can always be changing.

Once you are experienced with how things work, you have already mastered the skill of observing market patterns, you can start investing in bigger currencies. This way, you wouldn't have to worry about big losses!

This is by far one of the most important things, most people do not really make rational decisions when it comes to the markets, they take emotional decisions despite the fact that some of them have a system to trade the markets that is telling them to do the opposite.

And another important point that you touch it the most people don't really have a plan about what to do when the market does not do what they want, it is as if they are only prepared to take profits in each trade as if they expect that they are going to win every single trade and that is not possible.

Before they became pro, all the seasoned trader in both forex and crypto failed and lost great amounts of money. And being a pro doesn't mean that all of your business is going to be good. exactly, almost all of the successful traders now or professional traders have experience a loss and almost thibk of quiting from my friends story but they didn't give up and learn and learn again. Every trader might have experienced losses out of their regular trading practice. With every loss experienced, one needs to learn something out of it. One to be successful in trading user needs to have patience and better learning about trading basics. More the learning easier will be the prediction about the market movements. When you make perfect prediction about the market profiting happens automatically.

A little covetousness and confidence. If you want something more, it's a covetousness. Greed will drive you to work hard to achieve your goal and to work smartly. But it's too bad for us to have a bit greed. Commitment and passion is what we need, most of the traders want to become successful trader but they do not have commitment and passion. Passion is something that we should have, it make us to seek more information to enhance our skills and to improve what we are currently know. Commitment is also a matter because some people are just seeing trading as boring but for me, analyzing is what I really love. I'm a trader in both cryptocurrency and stock market, my goal is different from others because it is about consistently earning within a year and not to become a millionaire. There are people who want to become trader because they want to become a millionaire, that kind of mindset are prone into losses. I also treat my failure as opportunity to grow. People are sseing failure as the end of their career but the thing is failure can make us better trader. There will be no improvement if we fail.

Whatever we imposed strategy and techniques, if we lose hope then we are loser. I believe that we should try our best even it is failed. Atleast, we have experienced and we can realize our flaws. Remember, mistakes are our bridge to reach our goal. We just need to focus, learn from mistakes and never stop on trying.

Yeah, this is out an external wish and eternal need that makes us good us good traders. We should work to gain knowledge as knowledge is important in trading. We should keep patience in making trade and not be so greedy about making a quick profit because when you become greedy you will make mistakes and mistakes leads to losing in trading so be careful always.

To have the goal i never give up might be the part of success but from my own experience.I can say that there is no exact receipe. Everyone of us i different, has different background, experiences and knowledge and different trading methods and goals.

I used to lose a lot in the past but instead of being depressed, I always try for the next trading because no one was born an expert. For traders, knowledge is the most important because this is the deciding factor to your profit. If you have patience, you really don't even have to learn any technical analysis. If you buy in whenever and sell at the next all time high then buy in during a big dip again, you'll make money. That is not right mate, what you said is contradicting. Patience is required and I agree to that but I do not agree when you said that technical analysis is not important. You said buy with the dip but we cannot know if the dip will dip more without using technical analysis. Buying dip is a counter trend strategy where there is high risks but there are also high rewards. For newbies it is not preferable to use due to their lack of experiences.

Commitment is a prerequisite if you want to be a successful trader in the long run. But if we look at the figures it is very difficult to mark those examples that could actually be termed as passionate traders. Trading is not easy at all. I mostly find people trying to earn money through it. They are not interested to get into it with heart. In simple words no one finds it fascinating enough to trade.

If you never achieve at the first attempt, try harder next time. A very famous quotation try, try again is applicable everywhere in your life. When you enter in your practical life, with the passing time the nature of difficulties also get stronger. To overcome the strong risk you have to use a strong strategy. This is something that almost never gets mentioned but it is true, most people are interested in the positive outcomes that they can get out of trading and I cannot blame them, after all if you are able to master trading or investing you are going to have one of the most valuable and profitable skills in the entire world so I get why people get interested for financial reasons in becoming a trader.

Depend on the trend of the market because if you invest a large amount of money you will see price of the coin every hour so it is very difficult to not look at the chart. I think trading requires knowing how to analyze and learn new things because not everyone is an expert. In fact, you only start $5 and that is a small amount of money not worth your attention but if you invest $5,000 or $50,000, everything will be very different.

Maybe you mean “We will NOT regret investing in any coin”? There is no wrong in diversifying our funds because in this there are much safer than putting all in one egg and all traders knew this way of investing unless you are 100% sure that the single currency you are investing will make a hype sooner?
Or try to be in legit groups here in forum that offers free trading tutorial(but be careful in finding one)if they are asking you to invest in any form those are scammers for sure.
