Title: US Airforce is using blockchain
Post by: Tipstar on September 01, 2019, 02:29:37 PM
The secure nature of data transfer through blockchain makes blockchain a prime factor for the next generation security and anonymity and the US airforce doesn't want to lag behind any other forces. They seemed to have made contracts with two popular blockchain firms to develop a blockchain primarily for communication among units and stations.

BLockchain is a techonology of the future. A lot of the companies are using it. IBM, Walmart, Maersk...
But this not mean that crypto is a techonology of the future, unfortunately

With more encryption and full control over the blockchain by US forces will make the data cna be distributed anonymously. But it looks like US will not only use the native blockchain only but i believe that will also adopt the secondary technology to get more privacy in the blockchain. As far as i know, that will be used to create a transaction for the important information between one to another section.

And unfortunately there is no crypto without blockchain, what other things you can use blockchain technology for? The definition of blockchain says

blockchain is a growing list of records, called blocks, that are linked using cryptography. Each block contains a cryptographic hash of the previous block, a timestamp, and transaction data.

As you can see the blockchain definition is still pointing to cryptography and wholely to get a transaction done so where ever blockchain reaches crypto will be standing right next to it.

Waw! That's really huge step in btc adoption, I hope Mr Trump will not have problem with such great news, because clearly this shows blockchain technology is has a role to play after all, this is certainly the beginning of more adoption, slow and stead we go to the top.

Armies and governments will for sure use opaque ledger cryptocurrencies. They cant afford that just anyone can snoop on their transactions.

Waoh! This is indeed a very beautiful development.  I believe many other government bodies will still adopt it with time. And more development will find it's way into the cryptospace,  making it widely acceptable in all the countries of the world in the future

This is a welcomed development.  I believe several other institutions will adopt it in the future when they are able to really understand the beauty that lies in using this technology

blockchain is a versatile technology that can be applied to any platform. that's why I like it. See how US Air Force wants to use it, I think what they did was very appropriate. maybe there will be other extraordinary things that blockchain can do in the future.

Of late, many government institutions are applying the blockchain technology in their industries so I'm not really surprised to see US army does same. The blockchain technology really have good potentials which every one must embrace

yes you're right, recently a lot of countries have started developing blockchain. Since China announced that they even want to develop, and followed by Turkey. this is getting better for the future of crypto.

Many important agency started to use BLockchain technology, anyway it's good step form a governmental branch.

thanks for the article i hadn't known that before. i'm always happy to see when well-known companies where i definitely
count the USAF as one of them are on their way in this area. this also shows other institutions that you don't have to be
afraid here and that the whole thing is definitely the future. but the big players have already understood that anyway long ago.

Yes, you are right, but the reason cryptocurrency is still having problem is because it is not under any regular. Those who are into it also do not want it to be regulated. However, I still believe it will be established when the time comes. I just perceive that countries will want to have their own coins, which will be centralized.

It seems that everyone wants to run a blockchain now. Its very serious when the airforce want to use it. Very interesting developments are happening in the crypro world right now. With some countries making their own cryprocurrency or at least discussing it.

They can regulate theor own coins and leave ours alone.

This is good news and once again proves that blockchain is the technology of the future which finds wide uses in various platforms or systems irrespective of what is involved. Another wonderful feature of blockchain is that, it can be implemented on a new system or on an already existing platform without altering the status quo but instead makes it better. So am not surprised the US Air force decides to come along and with time more platforms and industries will come on board. We are in for a long ride, let's be on the lookout for more.

Here in Brazil we have a lot of companies interested to start a blockchain to help them in a lot of ways, tracking products, validating documents, contracts etc
But I see that it's starting to separate cryptos from blockchain in general

Blockchain technology is out on most of the country and they are slowly adopting its technology. Blockchain technology is the future, and because of this it will help the cryptomarket to go up again and with bitcoin more companies will adopt. US is supporting this technology, we have a great countries with good blockchain technology.

Very vague statement. What you mean starting to separate crypto from blockchain? I think blockchain are the root word of cryptocurrency. Yes, indeed many country like and interested to do the same, but regarding OP, and the article, I am not sure why even blockchain has been the most trend now. Every bit of industry even though its not related has been connected into blockchain. US Airforce can used it on data management but other than that I dont see any objective towards more important aspect the airforce could use crypto.

It makes sense, I mean we are already in the forefront of technology like blockchain so what not take advantage of it. They know that blockchain can offer more secure way of protecting their data and it's easy to maintain.

Besides blockchain is adaptable and it's truly design to handle massive amounts of data, data that is the lifeblood of any organisations today including the military force. Not just airforce though, almost all huge companies now are moving to blockchain so I'm not surprised that US military is also moving forward this technology.

A lot of companies and organizations are beginning to put more effort in their blockchain technology right now as they see that this is the new age we are in and how the use of blockchain technology has facilitated the growth of majority of people that has applied it, so it is indeed a welcome development that these type of strong organizations are beginning to also adopt it, bit what I would like to see the most is the adoption of one single currency.

It will be the best thing that will happen if they can all embrace the use of bitcoin as one major currency of the world, because as you see them getting involved in blockchain technology now, the only thing that I have been seeing everywhere here and there is many of them trying to create their own currency too.

This is a lie that they are trying to feed to us. Private blockchain solutions have nothing on permissionless crypto projects. They are basically just over hyped databases. like snake oil compared to real decentralized projects.

I think blockchain technology will continue to develop if more and more institutions or companies use it. Blockchain technology has proven to be a safe technology for storing data and I think people will slowly begin to recognize cryptocurrency. If more and more people are familiar with crypto, the adoption process will be faster

Good news for current technological developments, not only China and other countries that adopt blockchain for a government benefit.
And now the U.S. Airforce has adopted the technology as well which means that blockchain technology is very useful for the real world not only in the digital world alone.

The usages of Blockchain is confirmed by many big firms. It's not something strange. We know that Blockchain has many advantages and use Blockchain technology will help us reduce cost a lots. Thing i wonder is when i can see people use Blockchain in finance and payment, all people, all countries.

It proves blockchain to be the most secure database they can use even with quantum computing?

Is the cheapest they can have than buying all the hardware. The adoption doesn't happen over night that we can buy joints tomorrow to get high while we drive going to our offices. Its always going to be gradual like the internet that we first use dialup and all we first open is the hotmail and the porn spam emails we get.

Blockchain is an innovative technology that can be apply in many fields of life, so if US Air Force use it I think it is a welcome development. US Air Force are doing the right thing and other forces globally should also take advantage of this innovative technology.
