Title: Zilliqa
Post by: DarthCanada on September 03, 2019, 12:13:57 AM
How do I take my Zilliqa and my Bittorent coin from Binance and put it in my nano S...I'm struggling to find a good video about it...

I am trying myetherwallet.com for ZIL but in binance it says please use a valid address when entering the key...wtf?

Only Zilliqa is available on Ledger Nano S but Bittorent coin is not yet available, you can see it here: Supported Crypto Assets (https://shop.ledger.com/pages/supported-crypto-assets)

Check the version of your Ledger Live. Make sure it is updated and active the experimental ERC20 support.

Try to read this: Manage ERC20 tokens (https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005197845-Manage-ERC20-tokens)

Update Ledger Live through the notification banner or download and install version 1.13.2.
Activate experimental ERC20 support
Enable Experimental nodes in Settings > Experimental features.
Enable Experimental Core in Settings > Experimental features.
Update your Ethereum accounts
Once you done that, it's stated that you can use your Ethereum address in receiving some ERC20 tokens. Your ethereum address will be the parent of all your ERC20 tokens, just like in myetherwallet.

I was able to put BAT and ENJIN on MEW so I don't get why it's not working for ZIL

It also seems that it is not working with BNB neither

I did all that and it doesn't work...the address isn't working

BNB is not ERC20 anymore so it is seperated from your ethereum wallet.
Have you tried to contact the Binance? Because if they are just asking an ethereum address for withdrawal of ERC20 from their exchange, then they will allow all ethereum address then Ledger has no problem at all.

UPDATE:
Note when I tried to generate my deposit address in ZIL from Binance.

In your problem for withdrawing your ZIL from binance, it's probably Binance is using Main net of ZIL, which they want a main net wallet address of ZIL. If that so, you will really need a receiving address of ZIL from the main net.

Ask Ledger about adding mainnet of ZIL since as I can see on the list (https://shop.ledger.com/pages/supported-crypto-assets) is ERC20 of ZIL that's why you are getting an ethereum address if you are asking for ZIL receiving address and getting an 'invalid address' from binance withdrawal.

Ok thanks, so it seems ZIL is no longer ERC20 token...I had to use moonlet wallet and it's not compatible with ledger yet...

This information is wrong
You can put BitTorrent coin in your ledger nano s.

BitTorrent is a Tron Token.there is a guide here telling how to store Tron and Tron tokens in your ledger nano. You need their party software, such as Tron link.

Oh, my bad, bitmover. Thanks for clarifying it, I just didn't saw Bittorent here: https://shop.ledger.com/pages/supported-crypto-assets , that's why I assumed Bittorent isn't available on Ledger.
You are saviour, thanks once again.

First, you have to check if it is supported by the wallet,if it is
then you can follow this video : https://youtu.be/5_3FbCF2plc

I recently found a topic in the Hardwallet section created by @bl4nkcode : ERC-20 tokens are now supported on Ledger Live (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5182078.0)
If you still have the problem especially in ERC-20 in your Ledger hardware wallet, the topic is perfect for you.

well , i guess ZIL is not ERC 20 token anymore, or its like new address format for ZIL ,
if u read this https://blog.zilliqa.com/a-guide-to-zilliqa-token-swap-5278ba32a2f3 , and this https://blog.zilliqa.com/zilliqa-migrates-to-new-address-format-bf1fa6d7e41d you will know why u cant withdraw  ur ZIL from binance , since ur address from your Nano S haven't updated yet.
and i am sure if u already updating ur nano S , u can using address form ur hardware.

I am not very clued up on this stuff, but my understanding is the Zilliqa address will not reflect ERC20 anymore.... so will have an address unique to Zilliqa. I still have to go through the process myself.

Do you really want to take this coin to your ledger wallet? I also bought it on the hope of getting more profit. But it disappointed me and in loss.

Same with me. However I would like to do averaging. But not sure about the bottom. I guess this is the right moment to invest more and keep it aside.
