Title: Escrow within US that could Ship Items to the Philippines
Post by: Darker45 on September 03, 2019, 12:59:41 PM
I am planning to buy something from the US. The problem is that the company does not offer direct shipment to the Philippines. I therefore need an address in the US which I could make use of when purchasing the stuff. This is supposed to be the escrow's address. Upon receipt, the escrow will be shipping the same to my address in the Philippines.

I know that similar escrow services are offered here but they seem to involve bitcointalk members only, not involving an outside company, at least as far as I observe. I am not sure if any escrow will accept deals exactly the same as mine.

If anyone knows someone who offers such escrow service, please comment below. No worries, what I'm buying is absolutely legal.

I was supposed to inquire from reputable escrows on the forum one by one but it seems it is more of a hassle already so I created this thread instead.

Thanks!

Don't need to use an Escrow, you can use some websites like Shipito
Basically, it gives you an address in the US, receives your item, verifies it and ships it to your country
https://www.shipito.com/en/?countrycode=PH

There are other websites but I think this one is maybe the most popular. It has a cost but an escrow has 2, so...

Thanks for this suggestion!

I am actually thinking of using Johnny Air Cargo if nobody here will provide the services I am inquiring about. I'm just trying to maximize the possibility of getting similar services here which could be cheaper.

You could try using ShippingCart[1] by LBC. I actually use this site frequently if I purchase items from Amazon to be shipped to the PH, simply because the shipping fee is cheaper and it's a lot faster. Tried ordering from Amazon straight to the PH in the past, and it took more than 2-3 months that I actually forgot that I ordered something from Amazon.

Depending on your package size/weight, just make sure to check how much fees you're going to pay. They have a shipping estimate tool on their site.

P.S. No customs fees as the package gets delivered straight to your door.

The biggest issue of doing it here is going to be cost.

Most of the people who were doing re-shipping here are charging more for it then the regular re-shipping businesses. At least the last time I checked, which was last summer.
Yes, they take BTC. And yes you are not dealing with a generic company, you know who you are dealing with, but still more. For a one off thing on an expensive item it's probably not a big deal. If it's a low cost item it's just that much more of a higher % and if you are going to do it on a regular basis it's going to add up.

There will be shipping forwarder company in Philippines with good rates which will have office near to you so better to use them, cost effective and quick at the same time. It may be even chipper than sending from USA to Philippines directly with post.
By the way if you want to consider proposals from those who can do what you stated, contact minerjones: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=346731
He may do that for you.
