Title: Ethereum 2.0 Proof of Stake
Post by: staking on September 13, 2019, 05:49:02 AM
Will you be staking Ether?

If so, how do you plan to do it? Join an Ethereum staking pool?

When do you believe staking will be available on mainnet?

Not early did you start to ask such questions? :)
I think that staking will be available no earlier than 2021.
Significant amounts of Ether will be needed for solo staking, so if there is an opportunity to use staking pools, I would prefer this opportunity.

Well, Ethereum is kind of late when it comes to PoS indeed.

Other top-tier networks such as Tezos and Cosmos, for instance, have been running PoS mainnets for quite a while.

Thanks for the link, that's an interesting one.

It will not be soon, mate. I think by the time this is available a lot can change. It is difficult to predict how everything will be. However, I plan to join Ethereum staking pool. Let's just wait together and see how it looks in a year.

Im not sure that we will see eth 2.0 ever. But yes, im ready to staking ETH, this is the solid project with a lot of usecases (ERC-20)

I won't be staking ETH. I've lost interest in ETH, There are better and more scalable coins now. Instead of waiting for ETH staking, I'm staking on those other coins..

This switch of ethereum from Proof-Of-Work (POW) to Proof-Of-Stalkes (POS)  has been talked over and over again, yet no action or consensus from ethereum developers. I really don't know when this is going to work, I keep spending much for fees when trading in DEX. Let me hope it works this time.

There will be special requirements for staking probably, let's just wait for a major announcement after the update  ETH 2.0 goes live. Some folks are expecting free staking, but from what I've read that won't be the case with ETH. No need for assumptions, let's wait for the real deal from Ethereum foundation.  Date and time to commence staking will be communicated too, it's quite early to give postulations about that.

I will not consider the big players will always become the winner and as smallholders of ethereum and it's not worth to staking my ether in the network. There will be a locked period and i just try to take the advantage from there. I just expect so many big players will be starting to lock their ethereum to get the interest from the network.
The POS will be started to be implemented in the network starting from the next year based on some news that already published.

I think not everyone will have enough amount of Ethereum coin for staking so people will create shared pools for staking. For me personally it's a good choice

You can only stake POS Coins by holding some part of the total max supply, no information about the minimum requirement of eth you have to hold to start staking for now, all we have to do is wait for the update to take place to see what happens, i am hoping this will work out for ETH

l definitely will wait for Vitalik's decision, I'm still fond of ETH and l will stake it. The POW system was done a nice job but I have some price speculations after implementing the POS system. ETH has more advantage than other altcoins, right now it shows us very low performance but nowadays all of the altcoins are neither bad nor good, because of that it is normal and ETH is one of the altcoins which can change the current market correction in the near future. The price speculations are the main assumption behind the reason people eagerly wait for the new changes.
