Title: [ANN] [UGD] UNIGRID | Segmented Blockchain-Based Internet Post by: dekm0101 on September 13, 2019, 04:12:32 PM https://i.imgur.com/zF7Pyhz.png
About The original Internet was envisioned to become an open and distributed network that was scalable and fair, allowing access to data and services without surveillance or security concerns. However, in recent years, the network has become increasingly centralized and controlled by big businesses running huge data centers. This centralization has given big entities and businesses unprecedented control of the traffic and data of the network. As a remedy to this deteriorating trend, we suggest the inception of a decentralized and consensus-driven segmented blockchain network based on a striped storage solution. The protocol allows for a completely decentralized and secure blockchain-based Internet where anybody, including private persons, can host an income-generating service node, aiding the network with compute cycles, bandwidth and storage space. To allow for complete utilization of the network, an access layer is provided, allowing for the development of protocols, services and infrastructure. Title: Re: [ANN] [UGD] UNIGRID | Segmented Blockchain-Based Internet Post by: AmoreJaz on September 13, 2019, 10:24:14 PM the content of the AMA discussion is a good one to get insights where the team is heading... though they have no urgency in terms of their devt phase, i believe they are taking one step at a time.
so it means no dumping whatsoever. just chill out and do what they can afford to do in the meantime. no high expectations either! but hopefully not forgotten... We have quite the spread already across the current exchanges. Are you looking for a particular market or ... Not sure. What do you think exchanges bring, we look forward to the reply. Last time I checked, Golem and SONM seems to be in a tussle about how to ensure data privacy if someone like Disney wants to store the files for Yoda Jr's saga. Also, how does this decentralized internet differs from Sentivate's version? Last time I checked, Golem and SONM seems to be in a tussle about how to ensure data privacy if someone like Disney wants to store the files for Yoda Jr's saga. Also, how does this decentralized internet differs from Sentivate's version? Apologies for such a slow reply as we're not very active on btctalk. Best to join our discord https://discord.gg/CRWZ7V5 (https://discord.gg/CRWZ7V5) Their data would only be accessible to anyone who held the keys are was given access to it. Data will have the option to be public (viewable by anyone) and private (only accessible with a key). The data itself will be sharded across the network making it impossible for anyone to read without these keys. Sentivate does seem to have a similar solution to UNIGRID although their white paper doesn't technically describe how they will accomplish any of this. We've purposefully held back releasing our white paper as it describes in detail with pseudo code how to build it. For one I don't see how their centralized and decentralized nodes will work. UNIGRID will be 100% decentralized and all nodes will be owned and run by individuals. We will accomplish this by having two types of nodes, normal masternodes and what we call gridnodes. These gridnodes will run on dedicated machines in data centers no different than Amazon or Google. The big difference is our network will be much cheaper to operate than the later two. Redundancy will also be extremely important as all data is sharded across the network something you don't get through Amazon or Google cloud services. We're currently updating the wallet to be able to handle these changes as the network will need to update itself quite regularly.
