So now we hold thousands of erc20 tokens from REKT ICO. Bounties, buys, failed ICO and so on.
What can be done with them?

Just patiently wait and hodl it with hope in next bull run sicle maybe some projects will alive and find some investors and mass adoption

First of all, you have to check out the project is live or not. If the project is live, you can check future updates about the project and hodl. You can sell them currenct time with the best price. If the project is not live, you can sell them immediately.

It will be much better if you could check individually the project's status of your tokens so that if its still have active development, then you know that token will be for keeps and disregard tokens whose development activity had stopped or  have gone cold.

if you hold a token with no value until now, then  its a pure trash. just hold it and wait for it to put on exchange or just disposed it or just ignore it on your wallet. I prefer the latter.

Nice . Dead projects are dead projects. I guess you'll have to find time to go through each projects development activities. If a project have since quit working and nolonger active on all of their social media/online platforms then you know it is time to stop bothering about their tokens. I wouldn't recommend deleting them though.

No need to expect much to ERC20 tokens got from failed ICOs. I doubt if they can have values in the future. I think they are over since the projects failed already. I am sure no investors will take big risks by investing in bad/failed ICOs. So, just forget all the garbage ERC20 tokens.

There is a project called coin janitor that buys dead coins, paying jan tokens for them. But I think they are doing it one coin at a time, it's still an initial phase. Let that sit idle on the ERC-20 wallet. That's not gonna cost you anything, if lucky you might get a way with projects getting listed to the exchanges. As of now the possibilities were very low for lot of tokens get listed. Myself have lot of tokens, and now I have forgotten about those. Only one token an year ago got listed after six months of token distribution.

You can be a "Shit token Collector bruh"

Just collect all "shit token" on ethereum chain, then if you already got all of the tokens from ethereum chain. That would be a good story to tell too your son, family, friend & other people.

if their project is dead then it's no longer of value, and it's up to you what you want to do,
if the project is still active it's just that the development is slow and there is also rarely any news, then you can wait, because maybe the project may suddenly be active again and get a big investor.

DUmp them all for pennies, i can say they are worth nothing if they have gone as a crap coin. I should remind you that's why you must be a competence person before try to choose any ico, bounties or etc.
the comparison said the untrusted icos are having a big growth compared with the trusted icos.
What you can do are only
1 you can dump them even you will get pennies
2 keep them in your wallet
3 dump them into the default address.

Like you, I have also a lot of shitcoins that have gone deadcoins now. I am not giving attention to them now. I am willing to let them rot in my wallet. That is also saying I am giving them a chance to possibly recover and possibly give me a better amount in the future. But if your shitcoins are not yet dead, meaning they are still traded in shitty exchanges with low volumes, you could just dump them all. You might make a dollar or two from it. Better than nothing, right?

This is not possible. If there is indeed a subsequent bull run, there will be new coins created, no one will care about the coins that are dying. So sell them if they have some value or forget them.

ICO not rekt yet and i hold some tokens that i can't sell, some people said we can burn it, but if me i will make it stay there and think if it is collection. At least can make me remember or short which project that be good and which one is not. So i wiill make it stay there. If already a lot of tokens, i will just make new wallet. I think ETH wallet easy to create so we can create it as much as we want.

Hold them and hope for a miracle, sell them (even if for hardly anything), or if an ICO someone paid into, just sell for a loss or burn, and use it as a tax loss.

Haha, nothing can be done of those tokens. but what I am doing is I placed the sell orders for the tokens hoping one day my sell orders will be triggered.

You have only 3 option

1. Wait for miracle coming, maybe someday they can become valuable on the market by some pump&dump gangs  ;D
2. Throw away to the unknown wallet, so your wallet become clean from useless tokens
3. Collect it on your wallet and then like people said you can become "Shit token Collector"  ;D ;D

I realized that some airdrops happen based on several factors to do with your ETH address. How many ETH you have, how active they are, how many ERC20 tokens. My account has over 20 tokens given without me doing anything at all. They're all worth shit but you never know.

You don't have a choice but to hodl them hoping that someday it will reach the market.

It will stored forever in your ethereum wallet and nothing to do. Basically it will be an antique token and you are the collector. Don't focus too much on the useless ERC20 tokens.

You must have heard of BAGS token, if you don't know what to do with your shitcoins BAGS token offer people to swap their useless tokens to BAGS token using BAGS platform, i don't have the link to the website again but google search can help

I think it is better if you hold it and try to advertise it to other users. By that if many users will use that token, somehow there a chance that it can have a value. But for the mean time just hold it and hope for the best to happen.

right, save it until the altcoin season comes, where altcoin can rise and we can sell it at a reasonable price, be patient to wait is the key to success, I also have some worthless tokens for now, and what I do is leave it until I get a price that is right appropriate

LMAO , what a kind of investor want to support a dummy project , if they have a lot of money, they will choose IEO rather than buy out some project.

There is nothing you can do. You cannot sell them since no one will buy them, even if you find a buy order you will be spending more in gas that what you will receive for them. Moving them to another wallet or burning them is not an option either since you would be spending gas for nothing. So, unless someone will revive those projects in the future or some eccentric millionaire decides to spend his money buying dead coins, all you can do is forget about them.

My wallet is filled with airdropped tokens from dead projects, few small investments, bounty.
Burning them will waste ethereum so it is best to just forget about them.
Dead token doesn't have value and it never will.

Nobody knows what will happen but for everyone to make any profit from their effort on bounties and other campaign forms
you have to make sure first that its legit , there is no point on joining a coin campaign or ico , if there is no stability or credibility on the project is poor
check on forums or other investor ask them what they think, and also who is managing the project in that way you have knowledge whether
or not its a good project or scam dont be fool by big promise like its gonna be bitcoin 2.0 there is no such thing like that there is only one bitcoin
deep research effort time is needed to be successful and be better on ico and airdrop and more

what we can do is we can sell instans and don't care about how much money we get after that. that what i usually to do. better than waiting too long and the price keep go down. i got some exeperience holding token like that condition and after almost 1 years the token unsellable , my mean there is no buy order or price on any exchange market

If you are annoyed by them, send them somewhere else like to some XY ETH addresses where they will rot away forever, but hey, you never know, those useless tokens could be worth something in couple of years, it highly unlikely, but who knows.

Just forget about it all, but if you still have more time can check their ANN Thread or social media if there is a latest update about their project, because it could be they are still continuing to develop their project and there is a possibility they put it into exchange at a later date, if that happen sell but don't get your hopes up to get a big profit or get rich because of it  :).

That's kind of interesting, I hadn't heard of that token before. Ages ago Polo ran a similar type of coin, all folks needed was proof of a dead coin to get a swap token.

Although in this case I'm not sure it's quite as profitable. Guess it's a way to turn pennies into like $2 ... not sure if it's worth the trouble for some though.

There is nothing you can do to it,  because there is no demand for it and no exchange trading it or perhaps there might be an exchange with no volume.

You just have to keep fingers crossed,  perhaps there might be a swap from some of the shitcoins. atsuch, the token might resurrect again and if you are updated and following the info you will not loose on it

Well, that's the painful nature of what's happening and the worst is, there is nothing that can be done about it. What I do once in a while is to scan them and check their respective groups to see if there is any improvement or not, although am not expecting much but there is no harm in trying. Since this space is unpredictable, who knows, something might happen one day, but in all, i have moved on while hoping for the best. 

I hold a lot tokens that did not become profitable and I just let them inside my wallet. The project from my tokens are Live but they are not kicking and I don't think that they will even when a bull run comes. And I really can't sell them because they're just worth nothing.

when the ERC20 circulation conditions fall apart then this can be said to be a nightmare that comes true so that makes a lot of traders and investors ERC20 panic even ERC20 market conditions will also be destroyed because many will sell their tokens at low prices.

gone ? haha ico will going to laugh at you because thats not possible to happen   . no matter how bad the image of ico due to scams and failed projects there are still ico that exist at the moment of this writing and so as on the future , that is for sure  but as long as cryptos still exist   .  but let say ico are no more but you still have their coins , i think you can still trade them on exchanges as long as they are listed and have a value    .  its normal that the the ico of one's project will end once they collect enough funds and they will use that fund to process thier projects plan according to thier map  .

I don't think it's going to happen, some of the projects are already buried in the haystack of shitcoins, if we are talking about adoption it should be coins that are already in the market and doing fine, not coins who are long dead, let the dead remain dead do not hope or give false hope to holders.

Most project got rekt since 2017 ending and every token that was launch after that time too has surfer same way, but hope still their for some token to bounce back while many are just waste, the ETH team are not helping this industry by making sure every token launch on their blockchain are very well and good to go which has really mess up this industry and why I see binance leading in almost every thing now has he make sure thing are done in proper way to prevent scam project , so we have no choice than to hold and see what the future has for us.

They can be exchanges on decentralised exchanges, maybe people still collecting those for their reasons. But generally speaking, just forget about them, because if ICO gone scam, there is no more value in those tokens.

I guess there is really nothing to do with them, if you want you can trash them by sending it to some fake address or just make a giveaway (dunno if anyone would want a worthless coin in a giveaway) or just ask if anyone wants and send them the coins. Now if you do not want to get rid of them but they are worthless then all you can do is wait and hope that they will worth something one day, otherwise they are literally just worthless coins not covering any space in your life.

I have bunch of them, I own 100k of a coin that suppose to worth 50 thousand dollars but right now it doesn't even worth 100 dollars I just keep it just in case somehow it gets bigger again. Not like it actually physically takes up space in your wallet or something, it is digital numbers so just let them be.

If you quite patient then just hold it and forget about your token, may in future the price will back to ICO or better, Or maybe the best way you can support them , the team and developer to keep doing the project. When the project work and success the prices will up for sure.

Now a bad period has come for altcoins. This does not mean that they need to be disposed of, that they are dead, even if they do not show themselves and are not traded on the exchange. The project can still work and develop, although its token is not put up for auction due to a general drop in market prices. No need to rush to get rid of them. They will need to decide their fate in your wallets when the market begins to recover and grow. Now, let them lie in their wallets for now.

Nothing can be done with them, you just keep holding it and see maybe the story will change like that of bitcoin when they did their ico, how they came with low price and people never wanted it, but who will know that after some year, bitcoin will be the giant of altcoin after years of its establishment.

We have to because of bitcoin story also give some projects that benefit of doubt that they will rise in future, so all they need from us is just our patience, we should be patience with them, became even now that they are not growing, there is nothing we can do to force them grow. Let us also hope that the bull run for altcoins will make a change in the life of the altcoins, though we have some alts with a very bad product that will never rise, that I learnt there is a company that buys them, I read it on this forum but cannot remember how they operate again.

patiently is not enough because many of us need money, and this condition make people frustation, market is crashed after bitcoin going down deeply in 2018, and many useless token are going to trash, because nothing anyone interest to trade in the token, ad the developer don't want buyback again from market

If such tokens are listed on any exchange, hold onto them it will be worth something someday as some group of whales can make the price go up really hard. When there's a problem is when such tokens are not listed anywhere on any exchange that's always the worst case scenario.

Actually it is a problem to me because it makes me get angry, especially when I see those tokens that gave me so much money in the last altcoin bull run, but my greed failed me and made me not to remove them until I watched them dump and there was nothing I could do about them, if I had removed the money then and invested it in bitcoin, I know how much I would have been worth by now when converted to fiat, so I am angry with myself, angry with the stupid bears, the manipulators and the coin itself.

What I just do since I cannot stand them is to leave them in the wallet, but transfer the good ones to another wallet, so I don’t open the shitcoins wallet often except once in a while when I feel like checking if luck had shine on me.

I am among those who patiently hold ICO tokens from 2017 until now, I have confidence that someday the price of ERC20 tokens will give us an advantage again. But if the token is dead then for better we leave it and just throw it out of our wallet.

Hm, i wonder why people will still be collecting dead tokens unless they heard news somewhere that such token can still come back to live, to me when a project is dead it should be left for dead, i haven't seen a project that come back to live and did fine even when new dev took over

Yes, I consider it to be a wallet decoration, but I don't mind holding it. and I don't think anyone would expect more from useless junk tokens. better focus on other options by increasing investment in the highest altcoin on the market.

You can also let them stay on your wallet, but I've been in this situation and what i did is i just changed/created new wallet.
Hate to see them hanging on my personal wallet if they are worthless.

I find myself in the funny situation just when I tried to see if I send spome of my ERC tokens to an exchange 12k of ERCtoken I am about to send but I calculated this will just be worth 0.0021BTC. If transaction fee is deducted which is 0.001, I'm left with 0.0011  :D What am I going to do with that amount?  These tokens ain't listed in Binance where I can pay BNB for the transaction.

That's a situation where you need convert the btc to something else. I've had similar situations when playing with small amounts on exchanges. Doge is always good for that ... convert the .0021 BTC to Doge, withdraw Doge (which is typically only a 2-10 Doge fee).

Or if you want something you can convert to fiat, ETC can work (coinbase can do ETC to fiat, I think). Not this is enough in fiat to really bother with. My point being, just convert it to some other coin that doesn't eat it all up with withdrawal fees.

The old ICO projects are mostly dead and very few projects can exist at this time because of reduced investment demand. I followed over 100 different ICO projects in 2017 and there are 97 projects that are forgotten in this market. I think don't expect too much because maybe that investment will only cost you more money in this market and we should have a new investment plan before that token drops further.
