Title: Android dApp For Logging Picture/Location/Time of Packages at Shipment
Post by: histopack on September 17, 2019, 01:20:36 AM
I released an Android dApp usable to help reduce disputes in decentralized marketplaces. It allows a seller to log a picture & optionally location for a package just before it's shipped. The photo and location are logged to IPFS and the Ethereum blockchain, along with a blockchain generated timestamp. A shareable tracking number is generated so that a recipient can view the photo/location/timestamp log history.

What happens if google takes it down? Or if you decide to stop supporting it? Why not make this an open source dapp and deploy it either on ETH or Tron?

Your comment borders on the broad principle of open source vs close development, which is too broad to address. But focusing in on the intended use of this application, the package log data is intended for access during the shipment and a short period afterward, which would average ~ several days, thus with such a short time window, a user has minimal risk. Also, the package log data is already currently logged to mainnet ETH and IPFS.
