Why they are removing the old link, for me its more comfortable to access my wallet using the old link rather than the new one. I guess i will need some extra time to familiarize myself using the new MEW.

They want to focus more on improving and updating the new version, detailed explanation can be found on the medium post link I shared above.

You think the old interface is more comfortable because you're used to it. That's normal, I felt the same before. Using the new interface frequently from now on would help you adjust quickly and feel more comfortable with it as well. :)

Haven't access that link for years. I just use the offline MEW by downloading these releases in github and use that Json to login, now that MEWconnect is forcing something else which isn't even safe. Providing privatekey to them should have been discourage but right now they are recommending it. MEW should make its old version available for downloads.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm a old school so I still using their vintage versions. I even have debates on some of my friends because they wanted me to try the new and supposedly slick design. So I guess old dogs needs to learn some new tricks after all specially here in crypto sphere. Need to familiarized myself with the new UI, and everyone now has no excuses and need to adopt.

im not into old school but i do also use the old mew because i dont know that thier are new versions of mew available or will become availabe in the future but if they decide to shut it down , we have nothing to do about it but move on .

 its still nice to see a new update of mew though  . its for our own good on why they constantly make a development , and if im not mistaken the old mew before was also revamp with cooler designs  and now they are going to make it more cooler  .

Change is constant and they have made the site newer and with more features for the newer version. I have used the new version when its out and unfamiliar to me.

But the new version still has the feature to access the old wallets that were created before. They still have the mnemonic phrase and private key recovery with the keystore file. So, those that forgot to access and take their balance through their private keys, there's still a way to retrieve it.

This is the last day that we can use Vintage MEW. Don't worry, only the old interface will be gone, but MEW is still there and you can still access your wallet as easy as before with the new interface.
