Title: Summary of cash in/out limits of BSP approved Virtual Currency Exchanges
Post by: Bttzed03 on September 19, 2019, 02:32:48 PM
Medyo bored kaya naisipan ko na lang gumawa ng table/summary, may you find it useful  ;D

For a list of live and under development crypto exchanges with BSP approved VCEs, check it here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5143612.0)

Your cash transaction limit for a specific period refers to the total amount of both your cash-in and cash-out transactions made during that time. This means that if you’re in Tier 0 and cashed in PHP 1,000 in a single day, you’ve already maxed out your daily cash transaction limit. As a result, you will no longer be able to cash out or withdraw funds from your PDAX account within the same day and will have to wait 24 hours for your daily limit to refresh again. The same applies to the succeeding tiers and limits.

Been a customer of coins.ph since 2014. Naka-custom limit din ako sa kanila when it comes to deposit and cash-outs.

Nice effort sa pag-compile and sana mas humaba pa ang list in the future.

Kasi nakikita ko sa isang article ng Abra, ang sabi "Properly registered with the SEC Philippines"
Yes, Abra operates locally in the Philippines, and is properly registered with the SEC Philippines and other relevant entities as PLUTUS TECHNOLOGIES PHILIPPINES CORPORATION.

It's good that there would be more competitive benefits when using a specific exchange, etc. I think we don't want monopolization and no more feeling of taking advantage of everyone.

Hindi ako familiar with PDAX and VHCEX. Chineck ko both yung site, yung PDAX, upon checking, on beta pa din pala. Both exchanges have good UI and feeling ko magiging maganda naman ang result.

Thank you for compiling this one, at least makakatulong 'to sa mga hindi aware on what exchanges are there lalo na yung verified and licensed.

Note: I think it's better to put coins.ph as coins.pro kasi yun yung exchange nila and coins.ph is a service type of application, like Abra. Both Wallet service ang tingin ko kasi sakanila.

Nice initiative, OP!

I don't know kung familiar kayo sa rebit.ph. I've known certain Pinoy crypto traders and supporters na gumagamit nito. I haven't tried their services yet pero existing na rin to for quite a while na. Maaari nyo tong isama sa options nyo. Baka na-max nyo na ang limit nyo sa other accounts nyo, o di kaya under maintenance ang ibang accounts, etc, you may use it as alternative.

For more info, you may check their website: https://rebit.ph/

Will try to register on that link.

Speaking of "live trading", supposing ito yung trading na gagawa ka ng buy and sell orders with bid and ask prices as compared sa "conversion" lang, do you happen to have the copy or link of the license or approval sa mga trading sites na ito kung saan nakasaad ang ganitong uri ng business?

They are referring to "conversion." Baka sakaling sumabit sila rito eh.

Please refer to this old post of mine.

It is worth noting that when we speak of Currency Exchange here, it does not refer to the likes of Binance, Bittrex, HitBTC, etc. Yung exchange na tinutukoy dito ay yung parang money exchange lang o conversion from fiat to crypto o crypto to fiat.

Please take a while to read the  full circular of BSP  (http://www.bsp.gov.ph/downloads/regulations/attachments/2017/c944.pdf) regarding virtual currency exchanges sa Pilipinas.

More on being "Remittance" yata ang Rebit unlike sa usual exchange service.

Walang account tier as long as maprocess succesffuly ni sender iyong ipapadala as remittance money.

Parang Western Union but has a feature of converting directly their crypto as payment money na ipapadala kahit saan.

Correct me na lang if I'm wrong.

Magandang point for discussion yan

BSP regulation states that "VC exchange service refers to the conversion or exchange of fiat currency or other value into VC, or the conversion or exchange of VC into fiat currency or other value;". It did not specifically mention na bawal ang order-book style na palitan at iyan siguro ang nakita ng kagaya ni Coinspro na "butas". End of the day, converted pa din from VC to fiat. Binigyan lang nila mga users ng option to convert or exchange at a "flexible" rate.

Quote
...the BSP aims to regulate VCs when used for delivery of
financial services, particularly, for payments and remittances...

Quote
...they are considered similar to remittance and transfer companies, as
provided for under Section 3 in relation to Section 11...

Quote
It noted that the BSP’s Virtual Currency Exchange (VCE) license does not include acting as a trading platform but is more on crypto to fiat transactions.[1]

For the sake of clarifying things lang tong sa akin.

Title: Re: Summary of cash in/out limits of BSP approved crypto exchanges
Post by: Bttzed03 on September 21, 2019, 03:53:43 AM
This is what I got after further reading: Sa tingin ko BSP does not cover order-book style conversion of fiat to VC (vice versa) at mukhang sinadya na parang-remittance style lang talaga.

The SEC released the draft rules for Digital Asset Exchange (DAE) last July 2019 and they've allowed exchanges to submit comments on the proposed rules. Sa ngayon naghihintay na lang tayo ng official rules from them.

Here's how they define DAE:
What is a digital asset exchange (DAE)?
An organized marketplace or facility that brings together the buyers and sellers and executes trades of securities. This includes buying/selling digital assets with fiat (fiat/digital asset pairing) as well as buying/selling digital assets with other digital assets (digital asset/digital asset pairing). They can be viewed as an online marketplace for the entire Digital Asset network.

To summarize (my opinion):
BSP will issue licenses to VCEs at kung gusto nila (VCEs) maging DAE, kailangan nila ng SEC approval.

I don't know kung familiar kayo sa rebit.ph. I've known certain Pinoy crypto traders and supporters na gumagamit nito.
It took me a while para ma-figure out. Ang trading platform pala ni rebit is buybitcoinph. Kung pwede, paki-confirm sa mga kakilala mo kung unlimited and daily cash in and out in btc kapag nakaabot sa KYC level 4.

Good information to sa mga users. Salamat sa thread op.

Kunting addition lang po. Magkaiba po ang Coinsph at Coinspro when it comes to limits. Considered different entities po talaga sila though the same usernames, passwords at level verifications.

Yung CoinsPro can only be funded thru CoinsPh but considered cash out on CoinsPh at cash in naman kay CoinsPro. Vice Versa rin sa withdrawals on CoinsPro papunta kay CoinsPh is to be deducted sa kanya kanyang limits.

Ganito yung Cashout limit ko as level 3 account;

CoinsPh
Daily Limit: 400,000 50,000
Monthly Limit : 5,000,000 400,000

CoinsPro
Daily Limit: 500,000
Monthly Limit: 15,000,000

Hoping one day an exchange with better rates comes in our market soonest.

Salamat sa info. Hiniwalay ko na yung dalawa sa OP.

Can you check again? It's Php400,000 per day for level 3 verified users.

So I believe yung level 3 cashout limit is still 500k daily at 15 million monthly.

Pag gumanda connection ko i'll post here yung limits ng CoinsPro.

Oops! Sorry. Mali yung sa CoinsPh ko. Dapat pala daily 400,000 then monthly up to 5,000,000.

Thanks sa corrections.

With BuyBitcoin, I think there is no Tier 4 or KYC level 4. Their KYC is only up to Tier or level 3.

KYC Level 1: Email Address Verification and Mobile Number Verification
Daily Cash In Limit: BTC 0.00000000
Daily Cash Out Limit: BTC 0.00000000

KYC Level 2: Personal Information Verification and Identity Verification
Daily Cash In Limit: BTC 0.19170309
Daily Cash Out Limit: BTC 0.20302507

KYC Level 3: Address Verification and Source of Income Verification
Daily Cash In Limit: BTC 0.95851545
Daily Cash Out Limit: BTC 1.01512537

I guess wala nga tier 4. Naka-separate yung valid ID (no. 3) sa address (no. 4) kaya naisip ko magkaibang level kagaya ng mga ibang palitan. I just realized na paiba-iba din ang cash in and out limit nila depende siguro sa value ni bitcoin. Iba nanaman ang nakikita ko sa dashboard. I'll have to put that in the OP.

FYI:

Bitpinas released their own version of cash in/out limits of wallet and exchanges. Here is their article

Daily/Monthly/Annual Transaction/Cash In/Cash Out Limits of Crypto Exchanges/Wallets in the Philippines (https://bitpinas.com/cryptocurrency/daily-monthly-annual-transaction-cash-cash-limits-crypto-exchanges-wallets-philippines/)

I can't say for sure but the author might have seen the OP or someone reported it to him  ;D but this is good. The more reference, the better.

They also came up with the [Summary] Cash In and Cash Out Fees of Crypto Exchanges/Wallets in the Philippines (https://bitpinas.com/cryptocurrency/cash-cash-fees-crypto-exchanges-philippines/). It's also available at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189921.0

Been a customer of coins.ph since 2014. Naka-custom limit din ako sa kanila when it comes to deposit and cash-outs.

As of now Coins.PH  parin ako gumawa nalng ako new account gamit documents ni misis kaya sya tuloy may control now sa funds.

Ang kinatatakot ko lang talaga yung limit or biglang isara ni Abra ang iyong account at e lock ang funds since as far as I know BSP approved exchanges (based din sa OP) tapos more on international exchange siya.

No tiers.

Yung concern mo about sa locking of account, Abra cannot do not kasi nga non-custodial naman sila unlike coinsph.

Pagdating sa KYC, nag-email ako sa kanila the other day at ito ang kanilang response:

Quote
Thanks for reaching out, I would be glad to help clarify.

We absolutely have KYC for any bank, wire or credit card related transactions.

When linking a bank or credit card in-app, that process will begin. If additional KYC is required, you would be notified at that time and those requirements would vary.

This would apply at any deposit or withdrawal amount using a bank or credit card.

However, no KYC would be required for direct cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals.

For more information, please see this link: https://support.abra.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018568971

I hope that clarifies everything.

Bakit ano ba yung experience mo about coins.ph? Kung ibig mong sabihin sa pag-momonitor nila is yung strict KYC process for each level of verification wala naman silang choice dun kung hindi i-enforce yun kasi yun yung rinequire sakanila ng BSP/SEC natin to operate here freely in the Philippines, pag wala yun baka malagot pa ang coins.ph. Base din sa experience ko wala pa naman akong na-raranasan about sa pag-momonitor nila besides the Cash IN/OUT limits and KYC. I can move freely my BTC as well as send and receive BTC anytime wala syang stops or kahit ano about being limited sa use ng app nila.
