Title: What if anyone copy-pasting the same message over and over?
Post by: coinlocket$ on September 20, 2019, 07:50:44 PM
Is it considered some kind of plagiarism?
Is it only spam?

I did some reports on the past but usually, those "spam bot" will be not banned or nuked or anything at all (unhandled report).

Besides the fact reports are unhandled for illegal activity (selling accounts with KYC), in which case is this user?
How do I need to report this one to get some mod attention?

Yes.

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).
30. Similar marketplace items must be listed together.

I do not think it can be considered as plagiarism. But it is definitely spam and against the forum rules as @actmyname stated above.

Best way to report is to include the evidence, as links. This would make the check much easier for the mods. You already got their attention when they check your report.

That's outright spamming and the reported posts should definitely be deleted by the mods. From what i can understand out of my reporting experience, unhandled reports basically imply that the mod had not yet looked into them. Maybe we can wait for a few hours/days to see if the posts get deleted or the reports get marked as bad.

Unhandled reports basically just mean there has no action been taken. If a report has been sat there for a few days, and its still unhandled its likely that a moderator couldn't decide whether the report was correct or incorrect. They are then considered as "soft" bad reports, but don't impact your percentage. There can be a variety of reasons why the report hasn't been dealt with, but usually because the staff members are unsure what to do.

Here is the sweet spam honeypot: I am buying verified bet365 account (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1547152)
Thread is locked but imagine the spam if a thread like this has 81 pages. The user mentioned in OP had a fair share of the spam fest there.
Might deserve to be moved to trash ... doesn't look like it might have necessary info ... donno :))

About the reports... each mod judges the situation in his own way. Each of them has a set of guide lines and if ann convinces the mod that it might be at least pseudo-legit (as long as it's not a brand new account selling fully verified with ID, PASSPORT....hell, we'll fly him over to make a selfie with you) he might get away with it and ignore the report for now ... and might get lost in the sea of reports.

Don't take it personally! Keep on reporting as guys like you keep the forum better, healthier and cleaner :)

It is surely spam and should be eradicated from the forum asap. I find them much more annoying and they should be nuked faster than normal plagiarism, as their intention is clearly to spam and not provide any value to the forum.

This users has been reported asking the nuke, the report has been market with good but the user is not banned, they maybe have removed his last post.

The user is a newbie so don't need global mods power to nuke him.

The only solution seems to be to report every of his message one by one and hope they will not be marked as bad.

It may violate a rule like what actmyname said but I don't think it can be considered as plagiarism in any point. Plagiarism would only take place if he isn't the original person who have created that post and by the looks of it he is the only one posting his repeated messaged, even if he reposted it several times already there is really no plagiarism that took place. Remember plagiarism is copying another person's work without any reference towards that person. Just report the rule violations he had made and don't report it as plagiarism.

Try with "selling documents - illegal trade", it should be more than enough (it is also spam, so you can write in comments something like "user is spamming the same content - check recent post history")  ;)

There is no need to include link to reported post for reported post, moderators are not blind  ::)
