Title: [ANN][POOL]Mintcoin - Booyah! Multipool for MINT www.mintpool.us
Post by: Crindon on March 16, 2014, 10:16:13 PM
Finally, there's a multipool for Mintcoin.

As you know, you won't be able to mine Mintcoins directly because it has switched over to Proof of Stake (PoS). Your Mintcoins now generate around 1.095% every 20 days from proof of stake minting, around 20% in the first year, then 15%/annum, etc...

There's been a demand for one, and now there are two multipool for Mintcoin, so that you can indirectly mine for Mintcoin. The links are here:

http://wafflepool.com/

Hashrate was at 7MH/s yesterday, now it's over 40MH/s.

It's confirmed to be legit and working:

Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the multipool. I am not currently mining anything right now because of heating issues in my residence. I do have Mintcoins and I love Mintcoins.

Front end is down guys, but the mining is still going. Here's the info you need for setting it up:

mint.mintpool.us:4444

User name is your wallet address.

Password can be anything, but don't use the same one for multiple mining instances.

Don't use CGMiner, use SGMiner.

EDIT: Scratch that. They changed the address on me. It's working just fine.

I've spent about a day trying to point my miners to the mintcoin multipool but have been met with several failures.  I was using cgminer and it appeared to be working.  I was definitely hashing blocks but my address didn't show up in the list of miners.  I did a little research and found that cgminer was unsupported.  I downloaded sgminer 4.10 and compiled for ubuntu linux.  The compile completed successfully however whenever I attempt to connect, I get a segmentation fault from sgminer.  I guess I'll continue to use cgminer with a standard multipool and exchange for mintcoin manually.  Any idea when or if cgminer will ever be supported by the mintcoin multipool?

are you keeping up with the blackcoin multipools planned updates?

Planned sha-256 to blackcoin multipool conversion.

Whats the deal with no cgminer? If a pool was set up to be CGminer compatible, the hash rate would go to 1ghz easy. That alone could double the price, can anyone make this happen?

Instead of using this pool, I'm using Wafflepool and then using the Bitcoin it makes me to buy Mint with. Getting about twice as much as I did using the mint multipool.

http://wafflepool.com/

(It works with cgminer and the rest)
