Post by: Huxley23 on September 23, 2019, 03:55:29 PM
I just found this: https://twitter.com/Antminer_main/status/1176015133425848320

Any guesses about what the new product could be?

This is what they mentioned on thier twitter

Quote
#Antminer is unveiling something big at this year’s #WDMS2019! A groundbreaking new product that will change the industry. Become part of the largest digital mining event of the year. Join us at https://miningconf.org on October 8-10 in Frankfurt, Germany. See you there!

apparently it's not a new product, according to this website >https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/bitmain-to-play-matchmaker-between-mining-farms-miners-with-new-service

they are producing some sort of digital map to show hosting facilitates for customers, or at least this is what i understood from the article

Quote
The WDMM “will help mining farm owners fill available capacity they have, while hardware owners will have more options for places to host their rigs,” a representative from Bitmain told Bitcoin Magazine

Not sure how Bitmain is going to research all those hosts before putting their names up on their website, hosting business is trouble-zone but bitmain want to make money of anything.

Or its a completely new antminer for new algorithm because I doubt that bitmain would offer new sha-256 miner when their already existing s17pro is the most efficient. Someone mentioned that they will finally launch L5, after mining a year with it ...

What's more interesting about this is that the removed the L5 from their cloud mining Bitdeer ,I remember people reporting 1.4gh for 1200w or so , quite  impressive giving the fact the two L3++ do only 1.1gh but consume about 2000w.

but almost everyone in the mining industry knew about the existence of Antminer L5, I don't think that Bitmian will embarrass themselves and launch a gear that has been out there for almost a year, maybe they will launch L5+  ::) ?

I wonder what will be the price for the S17+. I might be interested in buying some, but the delivery date suck as hell.
