Title: coinotron ioc
Post by: steelhouse on November 14, 2011, 11:29:41 PM
Why did coinotron remove ioc from the menu.  It was really increasing in difficulty.  I noticed there were no miners on it, but that was due to the difficulty above 100.   Ioc is not dead and this was only pool.

We will introduce it again when someone fix client. During weekend it crashed twice. Two weeks ago pool "lost" 10000 i0coins. They were sent as standard payout from pool but they didn't make it to the addressee.

1) Do we have to withdraw i0coins by a certain time?

2) Why are you getting rid of namecoin?  Are you not planning on merged mining eventually?

1) Yes, by the end of November 2011
2) There were only 2 users mining NMC during last week.I was planning to introduce MM.  Correct me if I'm wrong: ATM additional benefits from merged mining are about 2-3 % ? I will wait 1-2 weeks and watch NMC price. If price drops below 0.005 then no.

Something really screwy is happening with ioc.  The difficulty has been about 18-30 for a month, then it jump up to 200 and then coinotron stated having problems and it seems btc-e is having some problems as you can't deposit ixc anymore.  Hopefully the ioc client link I found is not for the old client?  However, I really like the 1 minute blocks of ioc.  I went of the sc irc channel and realsolid said he admired ioc and ixc because he learned a lot from them.  I wonder if ioc and or ixc have been recently attacked?  Now the difficultly of ioc might be going down to 11.

Who is going to fix i0coin problem?  I don't see any white knights in the horizon for this coin

If bitcoind was fixed for merged mining (since it is 99.9% the same as ixcoin) I think somebody could fix it, if they have not done already and merge mine ixcoin.  The pools have such low use, you can mine yourself without a pool:

ixcoin.conf or iocoin.conf and place in Appdata->Roaming->iocoin (where the wallet and local files are located)
rpcuser=un
rpcpassword=pass
server=1

note: once you put this file in the directory run ixcoind or iocoind for stability.  Then you can start your miners.   You can create shortcut and drag to desktop and edit properties to save time. If you see hashes it is running correctly, when you see a hash and accepted you found a block (which might take 10 minutes with a gpu).

ioc
poclbm.exe --user=un --pass=pass -o 127.0.0.1 -p 7332 -d1 -v -f 0 -w 128

ixc
poclbm.exe --user=un --pass=pass -o 127.0.0.1 -p 8338 -d1 -v -f 0 -w 128

anyone else find it funny/sad that none of the links on this site work:

i0coins.com/

and this one says it's up for sale:

i0coin.org/

I can't find an i0coin client at all.  Anyone?

I think I'll be donating my i0coins to coinotron if I can't find one in 10 days...

http://i0.digbtc.net/  You can get a client from this site, it might not be last one as it crashes when i start to mine.

coinotron: You double sent me 187.7316 coins when I closed out my account.  Maybe you have a bug in your code that double sends i0coins.

Yes I know :)
I several times interrupted manually sending payout because it took so long. After that I realized that some of payouts have been sent anyway ( including yours ). Let it be Christmas gift :)
