Am holding my portfolios at the moment and do not want to loose my portfolios by sell. Holding is my option after I saw the dropped some days ago. For those who are eager to sell are just doing this at their own disadvantage because the bear market will not stay longer as speculated, reasons be that, the months ahead are known to be good months for cryptocurrency. Often times being silent on observing in depressed moment can give us insight on what is the next best move.  From here, the sentiments of Bitcoin market is somehow shifting to  being bearishm thanks to lots of FUDs and disappointment from speculators.  Optimist may see this as an opportunity to buy at cheaper price while pessimist find this time to sell their BTC however studying and learning how the market movements and being updated on current Bitcoin events may give us a hint on what will happen next, so I guess waiting and learning the market movement will give us the best possible option on our next move.  It never hurts to slack a bit, relax and wait or look for  another oppotunity to gain profit in this confusion.

I suggest not to be stressed about it. If your holdings are currently on loss, then you have no choice to just let it idle at the moment. You will only experience a literal loss once you dump it.

I think that now what is happening in the market, should be seen as an opportunity, the price is low, it is known that the potential of Bitcoin is with a much higher value. New investors and speculators are beginning to enter the market, and if by logic it is known that the best way to buy is cheap, I think it is normal what was coming. The price may continue to fall, but if you do not, you will have missed a unique opportunity to have bought less than $ 8.5K, you may react and a bullish rally will occur.

In case it keeps going down, everything is not lost, because the recovery once "Los Shorts" closes the price will recover, the offer at the moment may be at low price levels, since the market is mostly moved by people's emotions, some suffer panic attacks and sell. You had a point sometimes we need to close our eyes to accept this happen because nobody want bitcoin goes deops, better to get in minds price drops is to enjoy the opportunity to buy bitcoin in a lower value.

At present, we need to stop making technical analysis, predicting market trends. Because it does not move as you expect in the roadmap, it will create FUD, and this will make things worse. We need to discuss the positive rather than the negative, creating FOMO as the best way for the current market.

I don't worry that much about the price of Bitcoin because when I bought Bitcoins this year it was still at $3,500 level which was last February 2019. At this point I am still enjoying 130% profits and its not bad. If I have idle funds, I would buy more at this level and fill my bags with more Bitcoins. The forecast of others that Bitcoins will reach 20k this year stands.

This is also how I see this situation. I was buying everything I could when we fell below 6000 dollars last year and started selling hen we went back up. I did not sell at the top of 12 thousand but still closed all my trades with an over 100% profit. Now I'm looking for another opportunity to buy back if we enter a bear market again.

I don't think we are there yet and I don't think we will go there but if we do I'll be ready with some fiat.

Bitcoin falls and rise, that's its movement, and we have witness that many times, the rally that we saw in the past few months is real, its not only because of the Bakkt launch, and please don't just make a conclusion right away, we are still profitable this year compared to the lowest price we've seen.

I guess the best way to turn lemons into lemonade is to buy more Bitcoin and then hold them for the long-term. Before the launch of the Bakkt platform, I already some predictions that this is actually going to constrict the price of Bitcoin and will it hard to do a bull run just what happened to the physical gold years ago. In other words, Bakkt is going to be a tool where players can "manipulate" the Bitcoin market and in effect stop it from growing. I am thinking that maybe Bakkt can be a vaccine administered to Bitcoin so it will not go on growing so much for the many predictions of millions for Bitcoin. I am hoping to be wrong though.

First, we need to manage ourselves, not to panic. Second, we need ourselves to analyze the price, whether it still go down or will increase. Third, we need to prepare some money if we want to buy more bitcoin. Otherwise, we can stay calm and enjoy the ride. Fourth, no matter where the price will go, you need to hold your bitcoin if you choose bitcoin as a long term investment and never sell at a low price. Fifth, you can leave the market for a while and set the alarm so you can come back later.

This time, I hope if bitcoin is down, the altcoin will increase and I guess that is the right time for the altcoin to increase their price at a higher rate. Because if the bitcoin price is back to the higher price, the altcoin will lose the right time to lift the price, and they need to wait for a long time again. I hope that it will become real, so we will see the altcoin will be the first to get the bull run.

Though, I can buy a simple dip if the market losses let's like $10 billion in a week. But when the market lost over $50 billion in a week... Wow, it better to wait and see the outcome. Better wait!

The best for now is to buy bitcoin now because the price has fallen far compared to a few days ago and if you've already bought at a high price just hold until the price is good to sell. Now what I do is wait while continuing to monitor the price because I've already bought at high prices.

Yes, that is always on that strategy in the crypto trading. But how to know the best time to buy low? That needs to analyze so you can find the best time. Maybe we are difficult to find the very low price, and we could only get the price in above the very low, that will be no problem because of it still a low price, so we have a chance to sell high later. But be careful because we don't know what will happen in the next hour and don't enter the market if you are not ready to face the risk.

You're totally right about the effect of the bitcoin block halving which usually occurs 4 years and the best thing we can do now is to accumulate more bitcoin but the OP statement was about the Bakkt which alot of people thought it will create market rally but turn out to be negative.

Difficult to determine the right timing, yes definitely! But if we will always wait for the right timing, we might never see it coming. So with the simple strategy of buy low/sell high, it will always apply to any price level. You can buy at anytime, and sell it if it goes above your buy price, even if the profit is not big. At least you got profit, right? Don't be too greedy. Anyway, you can do the cycle again and again at a very short period of time. Though it requires a lot of work, but you want this life, so be it!  :P

yeah absolutely right, I've also explained in another thread why every 4 years Bitcoin will go to the moon. Price changes that occur in the market are very reasonable, why should we worry!!  the red market is not eternal, there will be a time when the green market returns..  if I may suggest, collecting Bitcoin is the best choice for now because the price is going down.

Basically that is the right thing to do rather than panicking out and sell the bitcoins we are hodling since the bearish market happened way back January 2018, we don't want to let our patient to be wasted just because of panic selling, we're used already in this kind of market so let's keep the bear do its thing and wait for the bull to come out on its fence, that way we could maximize the profits that we could make in the long run.

I think it is best to learn to leverage trade and then make more BTC with profits on the dips to accumulate more long term. Right now I am working full time so do not have the time to spend learning trading techniques etc, and I just relax on the forum and collect coins that way which I can use some of them to trade for Bitcoin, for the long term. It all depends on how aggressive you are and how much capital you also have to invest in these higher risk markets and currencies like Bitcoin. I just look at Bitcoin more of a long term investment, but not sure if I am now too late in this field now. I think now the time to get lucky with Bitcoin is over as the early birds ate all the worms. Now mainly traders and large wallets are benefiting because they can grow their wallets larger with just small price swings.

If we still have Bitcoin, we need to be patient and don't need to do any panic selling. I see that there are so many people hastily selling all of his/her Bitcoin and this can be a reason for a fall in the price too. Also, I think this is the right time to buy Bitcoin.

Bakkt is one of the recent events, it is expected to help the pump market, but the opposite has happened. The bear market has appeared and lasted for many days, causing investors to lose money. day trading is risky business bro. I don't know about that whole leveraging to accumulate small amounts of crypto at a time because playing the large market swings has worked out better for me and I think it's better overall more people would agree that it's easier making crypto this way then day trading.

Here is my analysis on the current scenario. I am not an expert but I can say the market emotion as of now is pretty bullish.  See the 4h chart. We have a set of lower low on the candlestick chart but we see a bullish divergence according to RSI which has shown a higher low in the over sold zone. This show market is gaining strength despite of price being lowered. Then is a simple MACD crossover on the 4 hour chart and that also on the negative side of the MACD. Histogram is going down and down. We also have found some support around these 7700-7800 levels as price was traded here a bit earlier. So all on all this is a bullish setup atleast on a 4h chart so we can expect a good next week coming up. However daily still doesn't shows any major sign of bullishness.

So To get the best out of this moment buy some BTC and hold for a week with a stop loss below 7600. We might have a ride to 9k again.

It sounds good, but I'm not sure that Bitcoin will rise to $9000 in the nearest future. As far as I understand your conclusions based on technical analysis, the relative strength indicator is currently saying that the market is oversold, but on the contrary, the trend following momentum indicator is showing that the market is bearish. I think that these statistics are correct, because Bitcoin dropped just a few days ago. Thus, these indicators will not contradict each other in several days. Anyways, traders like the cryptocurrency exchange market that has high volatility.

Bitcoin is for long term investment, just sell your bitcoin when you need it and obviously don't sell when the price is very low. Let's put in mind that the bitcoin is for long term investment, the price of it is keeps on pumping every year, I am sure before Christmas the price of it will be our new all time high.

It's happened before and would surely happen more and more in the future. This is just a single situation of how bitcoin went down but that's nothing new. In any case, it's a good chance to buy btc while it's at it is low and hold and hold until the moment where you could reap profits gained from you, holding. Bakkt was overhyped and that's why many were scared about the future of BTC but it really didn't impact it that much. It's still the normal market and even if Bakkt did impact the market positively, it's still a gain. And since it didn't, rather than call it a setback, it's more like just another failed try.

Although Bakkt launch was not given a good sign for bitcoin price to increase, I am sure it will change how the people perspective about bitcoin. And if they think that bitcoin price deserves to increase, the price will be increased at the right time. Yeah, it's a pain to see the fallen of the bitcoin price, but we will have time to see bitcoin price start the rally like what we saw before. Bitcoin price now is not down deeper or up higher, and it seems, the price stable at a price now so we need to wait for until tomorrow and hopefully, the price will moves to the higher price soon.

I think we still cannot say if Bakkt caused the fall, although if that was the case, it could be taken as a success, the reason is simple, they lowered the price to buy, and the best way to buy is to buy cheap. Bakkt brings new investors with a lot of experience, many from Wall Street, which have a great knowledge in the markets, maybe in their plans is to try to be the new Strong Hands of Bitcoin and dethrone those who have always been, And that is achieved through shopping.

I wouldn't put any money into altcoins right now, unless you are very sure about them. Bitcoin dominance has been extremely high these past couple of days and we've seen a lot large companies start investing into it.

Look at the recent news, even countries like China (who have been extremely reluctant against cryptocurrencies) are starting to make their own and want to get back into the game.

I really agree with you, that there are so many Altcoins that have high value, if most people buy more bitcoin then in all markets it is not so balanced, actually if everyone can buy other than Bitcoin or Ethereum or other Altcoin it will raise the price value in all markets and it will be easier to get Bitcoin, rather than buying Bitcoin which is already quite expensive, it is just waiting for everyone's awareness to be able to balance prices in all major markets.

Only two time some coin on the top price, first time after listing on exchange market maybe best moment to invest because could get much profit, second time you can buy when your coin have adoption working with great companies.

I think people were unsure about this , if the results will be positive or negative no one knows , therefore most of the investors cashed out and now they will slowly start investing in Bitcoins once they see now it's stable .

I think that I could really see the whales contribution in the recent downfall of bitcoin, and probably they did so to create panic because of the released bakkt platform because they know that it is bull run catalyst in the making, so they just want to crashed the market in a bid to be able to buy at very low prices so that when the bakkt is fully operational.

It will only be people that are not wise that will fall for all these tactics of the whales and I have learnt not to panic, it is only when I panic that they get to win me. Now that they are accumulating, I think that we should also join them in accumulating also ahead of the full recovery of bitcoin right now, if we don’t panic along with those that will panic, then I think that we are safe.

Ever since i have been an investor of Bitcoins i have seen a trend on how the whole thing and when bitcoins tend to reach a new values and tend to go down after a while it seems that it is actually waiting for a while then it goes up again so i recommend that we start buying bitcoins  and save for this juncture because am sure its going to get at least $15K in the next bull run.

Bitcoin was stable at $10k last month for how many weeks and comparing the price now is a good sign that it's time to buy. If you are wishing and waiting for the $3k-$4k you might lose your chances to gain some profit. It might take a year before you see that price again or maybe not. At least the price this year wasn't that too deep that it almost hit the $3k bottom.

the market has always give second chance as why we all need to be constistence in decision taking but the market has not really show a good move as bear is still very much loading to have warrant another lost in the market cap but many are still anticipating for more dump or bull but which ever way it goes then we are good to go.

let's take the positive side and I'm on a positive side and will encourage people to buy whenever there is a dip, because it will eventually recover, people are posting negative situation and news every time there is a dip in price but very slow in posting great news whenever there is a big leap in the price, this is just a correction it's been happening for a long time, why still not get use to it, after 4 years same threads will be created for every drop.

That is the strategy only I can think of, whenever we saw bitcoin at cheap price we should to take opportunity so in the next pump we will get a high return. I think you should buy now and don't wait for its price to drop at 3$-4$ because you might miss the chance if bitcoin makena sudden pump.

It really helps for sure. But people wants everyday they become profitable and they are aggressive enough causing them to keep moving and suffer losses. When I see bitcoin prices go down then I don't think I should quit bitcoin but I want to buy it with a little of my money for bitcoin because I'm very sure bitcoin won't make us lose money to invest because we saw bitcoin go down in price just a few weeks ago after bitcoin will rise again as usual with prices that are always stable.

Agree with you, sometimes I prefer day trading, because in day trading, there are lots of opportunities that you can be able to manage your time and fund wisely. We do have tons of coins/tokens out there that you can be able to trade, we just need time and effort to be able to check the perfect coins for the day. I set up auto trade in order to covert my Bitcoin into USDT whenever price drop from a set margin so that I have USDT which I use to buy more bitcoin than I have as the price drops but USDT remains stable.  That's how I make use of the situation by adding more bitcoin and then selling it off during peak.
