Is this your own site or you found it somewhere out there?
It looks like a skill based game (driving car) but I would not recommend to deposit in this site since it is not provably fair, I cant even find how the game works except about playing against the time to finish in top 3 in order to be eligible for the jackpot. There is no detail explanation about the jackpot as well, how much is it? Is it the total amount of all users who play the game? Lets say there are 10 users then the jackpot will be 10*$5 = $50?
Other thing, is this $5 can be used for 1 time playing only or users can play as many as possible during the day? I'm just afraid to play this kind of game because of the possibility of BOT that can win the game easily without hard effort.

I just found it on the internet!
I actually decided just to deposit $5 of Bitcoin to see what would happen as after all.. it's only $5USD lol.
I sent an email to the official Bit Racer email address and they got back to me explaining all the details that I wasn't sure about either.
The jackpot varies each day depending on how many players play the game daily. e.g. 100 racers at $5 each would be $500 and whoever places 1st, 2nd or 3rd received a portion of this jackpot :).

I think they said the race circuit changes weekly as well so the players get a nice change of scenery.
The graphics might not be much to look at but I kinda like the retro feel haha.

Anyway I will let you all know how I finish the race!! :)

and hopefully win the jackpot.

p.s. I'm currently placing 9th! :)

Op you are promoting your own site. The stuff you talk about makes it clear that you are not a customer but a shill at the most.

Nobody will win a jackpot easily. Otherwise it is not a jackpot but a fakepot. So get that idea out of your head right away. I have seen gamblers since the first few years of primedice and no, nobody has won their jackpot yet, you are just a speak of dust here.

Maybe you should up your marketing methods, acting like you dont know anything, depositing because it is "just" 5bucks - makes you look like nothing more than a joker.

Anyway good luck.

I followed the link. It looks very good, especially considering the fact that one can earn there by playing without investments, but naturally with a certain skill. And prizes will be given only for 1-3 place. This is true? Are you registered yourself?

So, it's a new site. I didn't see more information about the game. It is good though that you are competing with other players worldwide. I love racing games and most games I played are racing games. Honestly, I don't like how it ask you to deposit an amount before you can play because it's knowledgeable enough that you must have a balance before you can play.

Just be honest, it's your own website, your own game... and probably a scam site. Look at your account, just created today and your first post is about this site. I just don't believe that non-bitcointalk user created bitcointalk account just to tell people here that he found crypto game on internet. That's strange!

Remembering the old days when i do play y8.com of car racing. Are you the owner of the site or just simply a player?
If yes, then that $5 minimum bet per race is just too expensive and i dont see the demand for these low pixel games.hehe

To Op, if you want to promote your site in here, you should introduce first. Explain your site why we should test to play any games on your site so we can give an honest review and maybe we can also give suggestions to develop your website in a better way. I guess if you do like that, you can get a visitor from members here and your site will have a point so you can promote it on the other forums too to increase the visitor and the members. You don't need to pretending that you are a visitor who visits on that site by coincedence and asks on here about the site.

You did *****.
In your quest to shitpost you didn't even realize it asks for a 5$ fee to enter, so how is this not an investment?

I don't know if it's Op's website as it does look the domain is least at 200 days old and scams usually are with brand new domains but if you want to give it a try it somehow works with google cache (https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:JUX2Gr-XKU8J:https://bitracer.io/race+&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=en) page even without an account.

There was a little work behind it I guess but it is kind of boring and really retro.
Don't know how long a lap is but I got bored and smashed my car in a Vitalik bilboard (yeah it has those in the game).

and the owner doesnt put much of his effort to have a better UI/UX design. we are already in 2019 not in 90s era.
several months had passed after the dev created this site but seems that no one is interested on this game. time to pack up and move on!

This would be cool. I have been wondering if games like this exist. I would prefer to play that instead of normal gambling.
But how do we know the cars racing with you are real people and not computer? I think you should try to announce this properly so that game-blers would know exactly what they are dealing with.

Comrade, you are mistaken. Don't be so rude. Are you offended by something?

I really went to the site and registered. After that I waited a very long time for a confirmation mail, which already confused me a little. A few minutes later mail finally arrived and I confirmed the registration. Then I started the race and after I saw an announcement on the right that a deposit of 5$ was required to participate in the races with a prize, I immediately left.
You can play on the site without a deposit, but nothing can be won then. But I would by no means make a deposit to an unverified game.

Hey yes I love the retro feel myself that's why i kinda like it.
I'm not sure how to prove if the other racers are real or not except that my friend is on the leaderboard as well so it proves it to me :)

Post by: harizen on October 01, 2019, 11:30:11 PM

Although it's obvious that OP is shilling the site (who will just easily place a $5 deposit for an unknown site), I don't mind it, "AS LONG AS" the site is legit and trustworthy. They didn't even show their algorithm of choosing winners and we don't know in the first place if those participants are legit or maybe that was only accessible if logged in? Don't want to register on the site just to check it.

Taking a quick look, I doubt someone will deposit here without any doubt. Design is like a classic 90's game including the font used.

Aside from OP, I'm sure no one will just make a deposit here easily.

From my understanding it's $5 for unlimited race shots per day as I have played several times today already for the initial deposit.

Retro race game was exist on the video game since several years ago so you can playing it through video game without gamble but indeed this is my first time to see they are available to gamble and at the site they didn't showing they're provably fair so it really doubful for me because every race can be manipulate and moreover the site design is too simple and i couldn't see common menu such as FAQ question or i didn't see the current leaderboard and previous winner

I've check https://bitracerer.online and it is currently down, Might be a problem on hosting services or a closed project.

That is what I have been thinking since there is a required amount before you could actually play the game which is not that really interesting. I mean, the fact that the game was like simple with a pixelated graphics, it's more like a game in an arcade which is for fun only and the price to play is not that expensive.

I don't like shills, so if the website encourages this kind of behavior, that's already a minus. The game looks very simple, but if it was a PvP game or a provably fair one, I would be interested to try. Not for $5, though, it seems too much for a single run. Since we don't know anything about the owners and whether there's any reason to trust them, I will avoid the website for now.
YOSHIE, I read the quotation as well as accessed the archived threads, but I still don't see compelling evidence that Bitracecer=Bitracer. Sure, their ANN thread said 'Bitracer'. But judging from the replies to that thread, it was a faucet kind of game, whereas this one really is not.

The interface of the game is nostalgic, it is like you are playing an old school Nintendo racing game way back 90s. A few post above me says the game is free, but the registration requires a 5$ payment. If OP is shilling he should've explained everything about the site clearly. I would not even dare playing something that I don't know how the payment and prizes are generated.

When I tried to see the gambling site I need several times to see it properly, because there is some problem and I can't see anything.

Also, when I see it the gambling is really simple and surely it is not interesting (to be honest), and I guess there will be many people who have an argument such these thing.

Regardless of you are promoter or you are owner the gambling site, you have to fill some features that can attract people who see it so as they will consider your site is legitimate site and will pay every gambler who win. But if you don't, I have confident there won't be anyone who will create and account and make a deposit.

Why I seeing this just a normal lottery but different game? How can you be the first actually? This is not a game that really based on skill right? Auto race so there will be never based on players skills as well right? Even though it looks like pretty normal game like car racing but this is actually some lottery game. Design is pretty simple but with the old look makes the game worst in my opinion. I am just saying this eventhough the game is not yours

So the game will be done automatically? Means that users are unable to control the car themselves to beat the time? If so, there is no fun to play this game and there is a high chance to manipulate the game because it is not provably fair game. Not recommended at all if it is how it works, and maybe some people is right to say that OP is just a shill of the site or maybe he is the owner who act like a user to attract other people to deposit and try the game. $5 is not big amount indeed, but I doubt people willing to spend few bucks for this game because it is not clear how the game works. Maybe adding something like free play mode would be better.

thats how a blockhain game works  . i see many games that are like this lately and they are also blockchain/crypto based where it works automatically and you cant control your character but thier stats and performance can be based on how much crypto you put on them  . crypto works like thier fuel  . you said 5 usd is small for you ? so why not depo and try the game and comeback here to share your feedback  but demo game like what you said is also a good idea to test them

Are you serious op? The site looks like it was designed within a couple of minutes and expecting people to deposit $5 for a chance to win a jackpot in a site that no one has heard of is stupidity. Much better to play dice in comparison.

If the site would have offered something like 100 satoshis as the minimum bet, it would make the site a bit more appealing. The manner in which you are promoting the site is shady and I agree with the others that you might be involved with it.

If it is a blockchain based game then it must be a provably fair game, mind to tell me how can you say that this site is blockchain based game since I cant find it on the main website. Although $5 is not big amount, but I prefer to be smart enough to spend my money. Why I should spend few bucks for something that is not worth to try? I would not mind to risk my money to test any new sites as long as the site is good enough or worth enough to try. I would not even spend single cent for site that offers a game that is not clear how the game works.

I just found it on the internet!
Just be honest, it's your own website, your own game... and probably a scam site. Look at your account, just created today and your first post is about this site. I just don't believe that non-bitcointalk user created bitcointalk account just to tell people here that he found crypto game on internet. That's strange!
He maybe got an account in here since he did not post about what's on here, how can he earn or even how this forum works. He made a new account to post about this site, maybe this site is his and his trying to promote here. However the site looks so weird at first glance comparing it to some faucets or game where you can earn. Can you provide proofs that you really played this one as what you claim?

No the game is not done automatically. You actually control the red ferrari car using your standard keyboard arrows.
To be clear, I don't think the game is PvP... for now anyway. I think it's more of a time trial game where players race against the clock individually but they share there fastest lap time/s with the overall global leaderboard. The fastest players obviously are placed at the top of the leaderboard for that day.
I needed to log in and deposit before I saw the leaderboard though.
Here is a screenshot of me on the leaderboard 9th :)

You're the stupid one you complete idiot!
All I am simply asking for is an answer to know if the site is legit and if people have won any money on it yet.
I don't want your views on other things you twat!

And although I do tend to drop in and spend a little bit of BTC in many places. The higher and higher amounts required are getting to be annoying.
Yeah, $5 is not a lot, but I can put that into a dice / slot place and play for a while. This is a drop $5 and win or not. Just not my thing. But I do like the retro look.

-Dave

Hey there, well actually,  the 5 dollars gives you access for 24 hours to try to to climb up the leaderboard. You therefore get unlimited shots for that whole day, so in fairness I guess it's alright :)

The website that you are shilling and your pathetic behavior are enough reasons to justify why people need to stay away from this site. There are far more legit websites in comparison people. Be careful.

Bit Racer at www.bitracer.io

this is a very strange site, the site does not have:

Yeah this game is pretty addictive I must say.

From my understanding it's $5 for unlimited race shots per day as I have played several times today already for the initial deposit.

can you provide any screenshots on how the game works? I am skeptic to create an account on the site because it look sketchy to me.
also there is no information about the site when I search it on google making it even more suspicious than it already is.

Hey I did deposit $5USD, I am now 5th on the global leaderboard :)
You don't need to deposit money to play the game just so you know though! :)
Depositing the BTC simply allows you to win a portion of the jackpot if you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It also allows you to view the leaderboard.
YOU control the car. it's more of a skills based game. Even better in my opinion than a random roll of a dice really.
To be clear , the other cars in the game i think are computer generated AI. You can think of them as obstacles.. Each REAL racer has these cars in their own version of the game but those cars are NOT competing on the leaderboard...of course. Each real racer is performing in a time trial of which updates in real time with the live global online competition leaderboard. Hope that makes sense :)

@OP, it seems that you know about the game well already. I decided to create an account and try the game for free, my question now is about the jackpot. It is being said that there will be 3 winners each round and will get 70%-20% and 10%, so how the site make profit from the game? I do not find something related to "fee" that is taken by the site, so I wonder why the site is willing to offer a game but the site is not taking any profit from the game?

It's not about "i dont like how its looks like so i won't play it". It's just looks unprofessional. If someone has problem with simple css code than how to be sure that it does not have problem with f.e. SQL injection and someone will run with my funds?
Not to offend anyone but this page looks like it was coded by someone who learned to code only to do this page and did it as exercise after forth css lesson. What if background looks as good?

@OP if you like skill based game you could try Celer platform. It's definitely more legit - binance IEO.

Hi there Bitinity,
I have already asked the Bit Racer team that very question actually haha :)
I suggested now that they have a faq page explaining all of this.
They told me that they take a rather modest 5% cut of the jackpot.
So i guess whatever the total deposit amount collected amongst all competitors for that day - minus 5% is the jackpot to be divided 70%,20% and 10% among 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively :)

e.g. if 200 players play on one day then that's $1000 deposited overall. so the total jackpot available amongst top 3 finishers who are quickest in the time trial would be $950 :) not bad!

Hi dark08.

Congratulations on making it to the top of the leaderboard?
Yeah I also had a problem when racing on certain browsers but not others.
I discovered at bottom of home page it says it is designed to work optimally for Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers on desktop computers for now.
Mobile optimization will be developed later, therefore you cannot play on your smart phone for the time being, but the good news is you can play right away on your desktop browser ! :) What's your username on Bit Racer? I will see if I can beat your time :)

very obvious that this is OP shilling his own site , nothing bad in promoting your site , unless you pretend it is not yours , of course
the game doesn't allow you try it without depositing 5$ first so I don't see it being any popular
it also doesn't say a to how many tries do you get for 5$ , the "FAQ" is lacking to say the least
I would not try the game at all , 5$ is not something I would not spend on a game
but I'd love to know the rules and tried it to gauge if I could have a shot at a prize
the way it is done it looks fishy and for 5$ I can go and buy a racing game at COG and play as much as I like

and I agree that the OP is shilling his own site it is very obvious, it is cringey to see that he is still dying it. it would have been much better

I just signed up but didn't receive the verification email. I checked the spam folder but there is nothing there too.

I was curious about the concept of the game and really wanted to give it a try.
Dix anyone deposit money there? How does it work? And how can you be sure you haven't been cheated when you lose?

Well, it is a racing game against another player or a PvP which both of you racing till the finish line with a timer of course. But I haven't tried it yet since the amount to start to play is kind of ridiculous with a poor looking graphics. It's just that I don't want to put any money on it yet since I'm still having a doubt.

Oh damn! yeah you caught me, i'm the proud owner of the site. :)

Yes but can you win money playing another racing game for $5?

The entry fee could be made cheaper but I thought if it's too cheap then the bitcoin transaction costs would be to high in proportion if you know what i mean?

Yes! you can certainly play the game first without depositing money.

After you register an account and verify then when you have logged in just click on the 'Race' menu option at the top to start playing.

On the right panel of the racing screen you can click the button and view the Various crypto addresses.

If/when you send 50,000 Satoshis to the public bitcoin address, you will then be granted access to the game for that day.

Just to clarify, some people think it's PvP.. it is currently not real time multiplayer in the sense that each persons version of the game is their own and they wont currently see other players driving in their 'view'. However, When you have deposited the 50 k Satoshis, you right side panel on the racing screen changed to a leaderboard and the is a real time live global leaderboard where you as the Racer has the ultimate aim of climbing to 1st, 2nd or 3rd place to receive a portion of the jackpot winnings for that day.

Hey all, Promotion of the website has not commenced apart from forum talk for now.
FAQ & TOS will be added to the website in the coming days.
To clarify, it is NOT a lottery system. There is no real luck involved in the game. It is a basic game based on SKILL and SKILL alone.
You are in control of the car with the goal of being the first, second or third quickest of the daily racers.
We are open for suggestions for improvement and also on what you fans suggest is a fair and appropriate entry fee (to build the jackpot prizes).
We were thinking of decreasing the entry fee to 25,000 Satoshi (around 2USD approx). What do you fans think?
If you wait for longer block confirmation times when sending the BTC then you will reduce your fee and it will still be around the $2 mark.
There was also the suggestion of the entry fee lasting the whole week but we think people will prefer the chance to win prizes daily rather than weekly?
Thoughts?

Like I said before this is just some normal lottery game which is from the start people already losing their attraction towards it already, if there is still nothing from OP, then this site will not go anywhere

Thoughts?

The Bit Racer Team

So you are admitting that you are the owner of bitracer eventually while you said that you found it on the internet when I asked about it few days back? Even worst you said that you are playing the game as well on if I remember it correctly you are on 5th place on your last update. It is not good IMO if you play against real users while you are the owner of the site as you may have a way to manipulate your own game. I do not mean to say that you are cheating but the possibility of cheating in this kind of game is so big enough.
If you are not the owner, how can you post in behalf of the bitracer team. At least where did you get that much information of the site while those information are not available on the site?

This site may be not be secured because as some people says, it does not have any Frequently Asked Question and also the Terms of service. This is some things that site have because it served as legit and also trusted site.As rhey said, why are you prommoting this if you don't belong to this team? What are you trying to prove on.

I agree with you, if he were a team from Bitracer he would have used their brand username. And he shouldn't announce it here before the site is really ready. This only puts my suspicion on this kind of site, for now maybe I'll wait for feedback from players who have tried it.

Not only that, when I access this site, I do not find a logo that is typical of them, this site is like a site that is not ready. This site also has affiliation ads from Changelly and this is unlike any other betting site.

The owner of the site act like hes some random person that found the site online, telling people he invested 5 dollars becuse its so litle to play the game to make other people also invest.
This smells like the normal up for 2-4 weeks and run away with all your money scam.

Has anyone here played the crypto game
Bit Racer at www.bitracer.io

this is a very strange site, the site does not have:

- FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

- TOS (terms of service)

The site designer is very ugly, I don't know how a gaming site can be as ugly as this site. no offense, but this site does not show any professionalism and I believe that people should be careful when using this site. To finish my comment, I searched google and I saw nothing about this site, there is no review about this site on the internet... this is another possible red flag

yes he did admit it replying to my post several posts above
he is the owner and was not aware that honesty is the key when running and promoting a business
in any case , if we forget about shilling and focus on the site itself:
the idea is not totally terrible , you have to focus either on it having very high prize pools
by adding a portion of the previous pool to the next race , increasing the entry fee but giving some more incentives or bonuses , creating a level system etc.
or making it an almost casual affordable and cheap game , decreasing the entry fee to 1-2$ and increasing the number of prizes to 5 or even 10
it all depends on your marketing and vision , but if you think that a topic at bitcointalk will bring you hundreds of clients - you are wrong
you have to invest in traffic and promotion

I don't know why you didn't want to introduce yourself as part of the project's team or its owner!
I just found it on the internet!
I actually decided just to deposit $5 of Bitcoin to see what would happen as after all
Then this:
...
The Bit Racer Team
If it is a new advertising thechnique then obviously it is not working. Anyone would consider it as a shady behaviour.

Furthermore, I am still confused on how the game works! If it is not real time PvP then how can you compete with other players and how to prove the results of the race are not being manipulated?

I check the site and I don't think it's legit or safe as well, this is the 1st time I saw this kind of gambling site. Do you already register here? Maybe more research for this before playing but if this is true I think this is also a good one to play because I also like this kind of game and I think many of us especially newbies will like this game. It looks simple and easy to play.

I like the design. But I'm having problems loading the page. I know for sure that this is not a slow Internet, but it may be a problem with the browser.

Are you owner/ CEO of this website?
It's yes, you just completely failed introducing it. and if you are not the owner this is the worst suggestion you could give.
Most awful thing is they don't have is security in the website. Every time toy visit the website you get a security warning and it seems way too risky for me and anyone else.
I would recommend avoid it.
