PGN comes after the RVN, and changed the algo from X16R to X16S,

The price of RVN is 0.00000360 BTC,  the price of PGN is cheap but keep rising for several month !

Want to invest in PGN but need more advice on this coin

on coinmarketcap the rank of Pigeoncoin (PGN) is 725 when i write this post
if you ask me, i will not drop my money in this altcoin, because the volume and marketcap of PGN is too low my friend

It's a new altcoin, I suggest you to analysis things first from trusted site (https://www.coincurb.com/news/). Check project rating, it's whitepaper and team members because it might be a long investment and bit risky. 

If you want to invest, invest. There is growth. Decide on the term and strategy of the investment, and act.

It is not a new coin, it was an old coin and comparable to RVN. The rumor said PGN used to be RVN competitor.

As far as I understand, this coin was abandoned before, right? the price got dumped to 1 satoshi. But from what I see right now, the price keeps rising.

they took over it because they want to dump their bags after months of holding. Not the first time we're seeing it, it is very risky.

If I'm on your shoe I will save my money by not investing in that coin. The market is wide and there are top coins that you should choose instead of that. Don't lose your money with that kind of coin, the market cap looks good but don't be deceived. Just because it's rising it doesn't mean that there's a good future lies within that token. This is my personal opinion, I really don't put interest with such coins and other coins that has seen to pump for the meanwhile.

If you want to invest, use the money you can afford.
That is my suggestion.
If you see there is a growing from the coin, and it will rise again, then you can invest, but once again, don't use the money that you are not ready to lose.
By managing how much money you will use, you can avoid the big loss which could happen at any time.
All decisions will be yours, but you must analyze more before you buy the coin so you can know it is good or not to invest in that coin.
Investing in altcoin is like finding a gem that will help you to make a profit, and if you can find the right coin, then you are lucky.

Rising price is not a consideration to invest on that coin, the price increase could be not because the potential of the project but mainly because of the pump game and will soon be followed by a dump.

PGN listed in 2 exchange and all total volume PGN trading below $50,000 that's a tiny volume, when price down will be hard to up because the low volume trading. Check the PGN Statistics on CMC PGN ROI -43%.

If you still want to invest, just invest in small funds, to reduce the risk.

the problem with pigeon is simple, it is just cheap copy of raven coin
but when raven coin continue to develop, the pigeon was frozen in development, as a result the coin has been forgotten for some time. 
now some took it over I guess and maybe the market is reacting to it, but I doubt it is something serious. save your time and money

nobody can answer you because you are basically asking people to predict the unpredictable! the only people who know how much the coin is going to be pumped is the pumpers and even they can't predict how much they can pump the shitcoin. and what they know they will never tell you because it will compromise their profitability.

all you can do is to jump on board of the pump, ride it for a short time and jump off before the pumpers decide to dump so that you can secure your profit.

There are still meetings everyweek in the discord group, and the community dev is working on the social app whith PGN built in.

Base on the previous post, this is the competitor of ravencoin? well at least now we can proclaim the winner of their competition. Ravencoin stands to rank 37 and this pigeoncoin is @ rank 761.

I might stay away on that coin, chances of being rekt is high.

it might pump, but the coin is trash, it only existed to try make money off off RVN
and NEVER had any real support, just random pumps :(

I hope the OP will heed our advice. There is no reason to eye PGN when there are so many other altcoins out there that have a million times potential compared to it. PGN is already valued 5 sats right now. And it could still dive down much lower, up to 1 sat even. Several months ago, every PGN is worth 1 sat and there is enough reason why it will go back to that level.

And taking note of the one and only exchange platform where PGN has a good enough volume, CHAOEX. It is pretty much an unknown exchange. And the only pair there is USDT. There is really no future to this coin.

No update given and reason for pump. if its true that it came from 1 sat price then there must be whale holding more pigeon coins and want to earn from his holding by manipulating the price. which is very dangerous for new investors that will enter with this price.

Have you really checked their project whitepaper very well, to study that they are working in line with their whitepaper as they promised, because no one should fall a victim of scam on any project that has already entered exchange and has been in the market for a long time, because looking at this coin, it looks like it has dumped so hard and Is already going to zero which is also looking like a coin that is not functioning very well again.

Look at the whitepaper and study every promises that was made there, compare the time they have been in the market and be sure that it is just the normal bear market that is affecting them and nothing more, otherwise, I would advise that you ignore this coin and look for other coins that are within the top ranked 100 to invest in.

Today was announced the Hotbit listing and I bought some coins for short-term gain.

IMO it will keep rising for another week or so. I plan to exit then and to not speculate what will happen after.

Not on top 100 CMC coins but with great potential and quite good market volume for entry level traders.
I would buy some also, i'm sure it still rising for a while

When I knew PGN is going to be a competitor of RVN coin, I was excited. But later PGN price dropped significantly, so, I moved on. To me, I have plenty of good options to invest my money, in that list, PGN is not eligible. An altcoin with 700th ranks with a low trading volume is not the right choice to invest at this moment. You should not look at the price up from 0.004 to 0.005, kindly look at the volume. This is PGN ANN thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3208091.0, nothing attracting to me.

I check PGN in cmc and the price goes up 140%, i am not shocked because it just has low volume, even PGN just has small exchange (CHAOEX and cryptobridge)
if you wanna invest in the coin like this, just do for short term, take profit if there are news such as listing, developing project, partnership, or any good news
dont invest in long term, there are many coins better beside this coins

I stopped investing in altcoins since August, I have only plan to buy some BTC and BCH. PGN is not that bad coin, you can invest there, but don't go for the long term. Try to do day trade with coins like PGN. To me, I won't go to buy PGN even if I have free money, because buying TRX, NPXS, ONT would be great than this alt.

Looking good alts pump today, As i have seen Pigeoncoin on CMC its almost 31.49% of its Return of Investment were achieved. I may say it a nice coin for a short term plan but keep on watching because of a small volume it may drop there price at any moment.
