Title: Best special events site?
Post by: narcopop on October 03, 2019, 12:47:45 PM
Last time your help was invaluable that's why I wanted to give me a try one more time.

The betting site with the best and the most substantive special events offer? Politics, entertainment, culture, etc.

And what's with the sites that control the market and keep informing about it in the best, day to day way? Something else besides oddshark, sports bedding dime or oddschecker? Maybe something better?

What do you think?

I don't regularly bet on special events but the best betting site to look for such odds and markets are betting exchanges like fairlay and betmoose.

Sites that show odds from different sportsbooks like oddsshark don't really control the market they're just showing which sportsbook offer less juice. It's up to the public if they want to take their prediction I mainly visit those sites for the stats. Sometimes those sites come in handy if you find a match where odds are very close and use them to shop for an arbitrage bet.

I haven't come across many sites listing these special events. Earlier it was directbet in which we can see most of the elections getting listed. Now I think Onehash has listed special events, these are really interesting to spend than spending on sports betting. The odds will also be high.

Yes, I usually check them for these kind of betting events.

--> https://www.onehash.com/category/special_events/

But right now, there's only one event that's listed there.

Nitrogensports.eu used to be a good platform when betting for special events, though over the years it seems that they have lost that charm and edge against other platforms due to a number of issues within their site. Onehash currently is a decent platform for your special events betting needs though they rarely post lines for such. It’ll be good to see some hotdog eating contest and other silly competitions listed on the said site just for the lulz and also for the prize as well.

Bitmoose is a dedicated book for non sports events. You'll find most of the events you could think of there.
Fairlay covers the many of such special events as you can yourself add up such events to start a bet. Their odds are impressive but the only thing that keeps me away from that site is the disorganization. If you are okay with your IDs being asked, Intertops lets you deposit on bitcoin and bet on whether there would be snow on Christmas day.

Fairlay is one of my best for special events
You can also make a bet on price predictions and sports and politics

The bets you ask are very specifics and therefore only few websites offer them but there are some.In the past and present some of the bets you ask were provided by Sportsbet especially in politics if I recall it correctly.Other sites like Nitrogensports used to do so and offer these bets.

I think that Onehash and Fairlay offer these kind of bets as these are more player against player sites.

All I know is Sportsbet offers that kind of thing. They every day have daily specials from various events with good odds.

Cloudbet are also taking bets for certain events(space, time magazine, james bond) (https://www.cloudbet.com/en/sports/entertainment).

All I know is Sportsbet offers that kind of thing. They every day have daily specials from various events with good odds.
Sportsbet isn't a good recommendation when it comes to markets like these because they rarely have them up. The daily special that sportsbet have isn't the same as the special events OP mentioned. If you check some of the sites that have odds listed for these special events you'll notice they're more like future bets.

I haven't tried Oddshark or Oddschecker yet but maybe I will look and check it later, but when it comes to a special event gambling I am mostly betting it on Onehash, And it is the only site that I trust when it comes to betting special event.

And you can simply request events that are not existing and see if they will accept your request Because of most election type of betting doesn't really exist or just a one-time event only so this type of thing you can surely check and request on their sites.

Pinnacle.com (https://www.pinnacle.com/en/politics/) offers some special events betting like politics (2020 USA Presidential election available) and entertainment. They're known as one of the best sportsbooks with solid reputable and good odds. They also accept Bitcoin deposit and withdrawal too. You should check them out.

I'm going to suggest a name that is not very popular here in the forums. I make that judgment based on the fact that I have never heard or seen anyone talk about this site.
Its called btcplaymania.com - I have not tried them out but they do mention on their site that they do special event bettings. I just have never been patient enough to track a special event on a daily basis and then also risk my money with some new gambling site.

But I hear Onehash is a good place to do such bets. I have not tried them either but they are quite popular here in this forum.

I've looked into sportsbet but I haven't seen the betting preference of OP in there. That's an interesting kind of preference for OP and I remember there were events like Miss Universe that has been on few sportsbook.

I've scrolled up and down but I haven't seen one of it, I saw the page: https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/matches
But as of the moment, there's no listing on it.

I don't think there will be (any) gambling sites could offer such thing cause mostly they are on purely games/sports betting rather than to consider those special events as you've said above. It never looks attractive and don't gives some interest cause it always be manipulative artwork ends unlike if we do in sports betting.

Additional reason why it's difficult to find those kind of gambling site because some gambling sites also are not accepting Bitcoin on their platform.
The majority is also suggesting OneHash betting site then you can try it.
Much better is if you found some special events that you want to gamble on, then compare the odds because it will also help you to analyze, even you will bet on different gambing site, it's just hassle but if you really want to bet, you will do it.

As far i know besides other sites then onehash.com almost regularly available for special events and for the current event i saw Nobel award winner to bets on that site so that's why most people suggested to bets at there but because this is special events it could be lack of interest compare to regular bets for sport matches

The purpose of any betting establishment is to actually make money too in as much as they make it feel like they are working for gamblers, and where any gambling site will focus more on are areas where there is traffic so they can make more money, you know that betting is still all about donations, it is like robbing peter to pay Paul and they have to get enough of peters for them to make some profit too.

With those special events that you talk about, hardly do you see much traffic there, where you will get much more traffic are sport betting sites and that is why sport industry is still one of the best place to actually make money if you have any idea that can get sport fans to make use of any platform or application that you have, but maybe with time, we could have some sites in these special events soon.

I've started this topic a while ago and got the answer i was hoping for but nowadays the betting market is way different.

What sites do you use during coronavirus crisis to bet on special events and BTW what kind of special events? I don't see anything interesting anywhere.

There's no sports, not a lot in entertainment, neither in politics. Some equivalents worth my time?

Please help lads.
