LOL, it's already 2019, Siacoin was good and has a lot of hype around 2017 wherein it was one of the coins that really took out together with the rest of the altcoins. So obviously, there's no more hype surrounding Siacoin and the price took a nosedive.

You also need to look at the circulating supply, although the project seems solid but I think investors are no longer interested. I can't give you financial advise because I might or completely wrong with this coin. But if I'm in your shoes just go for the top 10 altcoins today just to be on the safeside.

I consider this coin good when it was around 2016-2017 but I don't think that I'll re-invest to this coin. It's all up to you if you have vision and goal of holding this coin. I remember that it's all good together with Digibyte but those were the good old days.
I'll invest in something better than SC, although this coin is still under the top 100. I don't have the urgency of investing in this coin at the moment.

I think if you invest in SC, then you should buy more. 100,000 minimum. Why is that? If you only have a few coins with a low price, then the coins that you have the same will not produce anything for your investment. Whereas you have to wait a long time to increase the price in 1 satoshi. These coins are only profitable if you want to make long-term investments. Not for trading.

Sorry to burst your bubble but Siacoin is actually openly a shitcoin.

There is a good satirical blog about how Siacoin is actually a shitcoin (or not).

Find out more by actually going and reading it. I am sure you will not regret this.

And for everything else, I will leave you to your own judgment.

Still good enough i think,
Why ? Simple reason mate, because this Siacoin can survive in the top 100 cryptocurrency at coinmarketcap, when a lot of crypto come and go  ;)

SC has dump a lot and didn’t taste any pump that can recover the coin from being down. It moves slowly than before but its good thing SC has still have platform than can be use. But I will not put money on that coin if ever because it moves slowly compare to others and profit might not happen to you with SC.

I think it’s too late to invest in Sia Coin. The peak was reached in 2017. And now there is no guarantee that you simply will not lose your investment (despite the fact that the project is alive).

I have been introduced to siacoin when I just joined cryptocurrency some three years ago. I searched on the google for good investment and found siacoin as one of the best coins. So I bought some coins. But now its price has dropped so badly incurring heavy loss to me. I do not like siacoin just simple as I do not like other coins like ripple, stellar, cardano etc. I like BNB, and bitcoin.

SC was very successful in 2017. At the moment, its price is quite good to buy, Whether the investment is effective at this time or not is not certain! You should learn more if you decide to invest!

I personally don't like altcoin SC, because in my local exchange SC is very difficult to increase prices, that's why I don't like SC, and if in binary exchange I rarely monitor it, but if in exchange binance SC prices can be easy to go up, then things it can be an opportunity for investors to invest in SC.

With the 67th position at the CMC, it seems too difficult for SC to compete with the other coins. SC needs more support from the fans so it could help the coin to increase the price. But everything can happen in the market, and we don't know if SC can grow or not if the bull market comes. And if you want to invest in SC, you can do that right now while the price is still 20 satoshi. But don't use too big funds if you are not sure and be patient to wait for SC to get the time to increase.

Yup. Siacoin missed it's shot. And there's nothing left here that could rejuvenate the project. The concept was good but the execution was poor.
There are demands for decentralized cloud and many projects working for it but none has been successful to create a promising working model and a business model.
Their coinbase partnership brought on some buzz but had no large effect on their price.

Siacoin (SC), in my opinion, is not good enough to invest now, because the price has gone down too far. so to rise again it will be
difficult. Besides that, those who were interested in the SC fell dramatically. It takes a long time if you want to get profit from SC.
Me suggest not investing SC, there are still many other coin choices that are more prospective. So if you are desperate to invest
in Siacoin it will be very dangerous make capital that you have. But my decision is returned to each of them if you are sure, please
invest in Siacoin. But it must be prepared with all the risks that can occur.

I believe in the old solid coins more than the new ones. I mean, those that are moving forward with the development of their technology. Siacoin (SC) is of course one of them. Although they are facing new and innovative coins right now, they cannot be kicked out from the top 100 because they have already built a strong community of satisfied cloud storage users and investors through the years. I can even categorize Siacoin (SC) with Ethereum (ETH), Stellar (XLM), etc.

Invest in SC might be a long-term investment, I believe before investing you should visit trusted site (https://www.coincurb.com/) check project rating have a complete analysis of project.

I don't have a bad or good opinion about SC, because I see that for 2019 all Altcoin prices will no longer improve, but I am still optimistic that all Altcoin will look good in 2020, so for the time being it's better to follow your heart alone, with Altcoin you already have now.

I personally think that SC is relatively undervalued at 20 sats, both in comparison to its historical values as well as the fundamentals that it has, in relation to what other projects offer.

They do have a nice community and active development, as opposed to a lot of projects which are created solely for the purpose of pump & dumps.

However, I don't think that the upside is that great unless a crypto-wide bull market actually hits. If the markets do turn bullish and there is a degree of FOMO back into the altcoin market, then SC definitely has the potential to rally to 100+ sats (not unseen before, mind you, given the ATH of 800+ sats).

Siacoin has already sunk so low that i have my doubts. I bought some at 300 sats and now that gives me around ~94% loss.

It seems that it's competitors like StorJ are doing much better. I had high hopes for siacoin since it was being run by some Harvard graduates. But apparently schools aren't such a good indicator of success after all. The only thing keeping siacoin alive i believe are the consistent blog updates. Other than that it will probably go lower.

I see SC coins currently ranked 66th in cmc with current market conditions I myself am hesitant and do not dare to invest my funds to buy siacoin I only choose safe only and do not think negatively about this coin but if you have large capital then there is no harm in investing a portion of your assets in this coin and good luck next year.

I like Sia's technology, but it needs other things to keep the price going up. They have to do a very good advertising campaign. They need to negotiate with a strong capital owner and strive for price. These things aren't always easy.

This is actually the real deal with these old coins that had been hyped on previous years.I remember out SIA coin to reach out ATH's giving out

its investors some good decent amount of profits and same goes to those people who do bought on the peak and lost big time when its price nosedived to the floor.
Buy low sell high is always the real thing but for these coins? You would surely hesitate to buy in yet we wouldnt even know if these will increase or not
even we are on a bull market.

No sign of any bullish scenario, we are still in all-time-low.
After breaking below of horizontal support of last November - December low.
And look also the volume of SC-BTC. It is still declining, most of low satoshis altcoins are still bleeding, especially this one.

So, for me, it is very risky to enter now. Maybe much better to wait some momentum or even breaking above MA20/MA50 would be a good entry then.

SIA coin was one of the very first PoW coins that started the alt ASIC/FPGA movement
if you want to do your best TA on it, i suggest checking out all the drama and history behind it to form your opinion on its future.
There to this day continues PoW drama, and who knows at this point what machines are available privately mining it, hence the perma slow slide in price
everything pumps, but SIA has SO much PoW on it (literally petahashes worth), that its probably lucky to be worth what it is at this point imo :P

Sia Coin (SC) is no longer safe for investment, in SC is full of price manipulation, you better buy another coin that is safer and still has the potential to make a profit, many choices you can buy are safer than SC and can be used for long term.

one of the coins with a lot of supply but shows a good chart on the chart every year, I think it's okay to invest a little of your money on this coin, because in 2015 I saw the price is very low, and now the return of the ROI is 4282% this means the coin this has the potential to provide a large profit in the long term, say 2 years.

I think there are better alternatives to Siacoin thesedays. Siacoin was a really interesting coin back then. I traded it alot and was really satisfied with the results. Unfortunately its technology hasn't improved that much since then. There are better ways to store things in a decentralized world today.

Siacoin is one of the best cryptocurrency. Siacoin uses the Blockchain and PoW mechanism, suitable as a long-term investment.

Siacoin is only suitable for long-term investment.. cloud storage has a good market in the future, today big names still dominate the cloud storage market (Amazon, Google, and others),  in theory, I am very sure that Sia will succeed in the next few decades.

And I'm pretty sure that MA20/MA50 has been broken due to this wave of pumps.

Retrospectively, was it really worth it to wait out a day or two to wait for the pump before opening a position in SC? I doubt it. I think that the signs that SC has bottomed at around 20 sats was strong enough for me to have jumped on buying up some of it and diversifying my portfolio with it.

Especially with the recent Kraken listing, I wouldn't doubt that it would generate a lot more hype when trading actually starts. Though I do expect that FOMO to taper off a day or two into Kraken's listing, it's still a profit opportunity nonetheless.

It's not the investment you would certainly look forward to. It wont promise a big gain, since it flunked bigtime since 2017 but it is expected to reach $0.035 by the end of 2019.

I admitted that SC now becomes not worth to invest but I still want to buy SC for a long term investment. With not too big of money, I can get a big amount of SC, and I think I can wait for a long time and if SC cannot increase for a long term, then I am okay with that. I already make a lot of profit from SC in the last bull run so I think SC could still have a chance to increase higher. Besides that, I still invest in bitcoin too because that will give another big profit for me.

Yeah, but just brace yourself in case it will fall. If it falls, do not sell it. SC is a solid coin. You just wait for it to recover and make some gains for you. It is already green right now at 25 sats. I just bought it at 17 sats last month. Siacoin (SC) is always part of my choice, a sort of sentimental coin for me, because it is one of the earliest coins that I bought, together with Stratis (Strat), Basic Attention Token (BAT), and Waves (Waves).

Seems like Siacoin is on the rise again. Revival of the coin is probably because of the news that it's about to newly listed on the Kraken exchange. Although siacoin value is down to 10% of its original value back in 2017, seems this coin is not yet dead.

I've been looking at it's blog and they seem to pump out updates on a monthly basis. Their competitor STORJ is doing much better tho, they have a working Windows app.

SC is definitely one of the good altcoins but is underestimated. Bear market has made the altcoins almost dead and no longer active activities.
But no matter what, bull trembling will come and Siacoin will be one of the altcoins that bring huge profits to those who hold it from now on. I encourage you to buy it now and continue with DCA if the price falls to 15sts.

Nah, I don't know man. Siacoin was very popular 2 years earlier. That's way back 2017 where every altcoins were pumping like crazy and Siacoin is one of them. This doesn't work anymore on these days. Everyday theres a lot of altcoins are being created. Some of they are way better than those earlier altcoins. That's why the dominance of those altcoins are getting weaker and weaker especially those earlier altcoins. I guess Siacoin doesn't have good foundation like ETHEREUM and other strong altcoins out there. The interests of people are being divided and the others are left behind. If Siacoin want to be on top. Then they should be active. Seems like dead to me.

I see Siacoin is not really active project now.
If we see around 2018 there is the highest price of SC, that is if we compare it with last year.
But if you buy from this year, i see there is chance to get bullish but not as much like last year.
I am also still trading SC with BTC on Poloniex, some profit this year.

in my opinion siacoin is not like it used to be, maybe siacoin was crowded because fomo was strong, but after bearish market there was no news about siacoin,
in my opinion it is better to choose an active coin and clear use, even though the coin is new. because new coins in 2018-2019 in my opinion are pretty good when compared to 2017.

Indeed and I can tell that Siacoin was one of the boosted altcoin way back in 2017 during those bullish days but each days passing by the price of it eventually plummet due to the lose of massive interest. Altcoins during the bull run in 2017 was really giving a massive profit to those who sold it when it during its high price. It is impossible to get a good profit this time since the market is not that bullish yet. It is better to wait and HODL until the real bull run sets off.

One week latter at 28 sats.  That was nice 40% growth in only a week time.  It is obvious that you cant be added to Kraken every week, but still without developers doing good job over last 3 years this would not be possible.

There are too many coins/tokens doing the same thing. Its no longer unique and there are better coins has the same feature.
Development in Sia is pretty slow compared to the newer projects that are flexible that can adopt new features to improve the platform.

It’s dying now lol SiaCoin had passed the momentum in 2017 now there’s no even a movement and if there is a broth surely it’s a movement from whales who is pumping the currency to trap other noob investors
Stay away from this coin or be a victim of lowering value
If you still have SC in your wallet better to get rid of it now or stay holding for another 10 years after the mass adoption happen because that’s the only time SA May grow again
