Line is very serious and that's why they are innovating and they have been in the development since then. As for the other news that they've got.

The quality of LINE is no doubt in an innovation. On the other hand, LINE has also made an exchanger called BITBOX. This exchanger has been running since a year ago around July 2018. Available for all countries except Japan & US. I do not know the reason, maybe the problem of each country's regulations on crypto.

Nice to see more established companies joining the crypto investors community.

From the news in the OP, my reaction was that the move was better than creating their own coin or token...and then I saw this news too. If they are going to launch an exchange, what are the chances that they will issue their native token? It's what new exchanges do nowadays.

I have encounter this LINE messenger many time but didn't bother to really install it. Is there anything in these messenger app that they find blockchain to be appropriate than having just a simple messenger like the facebook messenger?

There were already encrypted messenger in crypto like CIVIC but telegram joined in as if it weren't enough.

It would be an advantage since Line is a huge company and a popular app not just in Japan but almost everywhere. If this adoption would work well, I'm sure that other companies would engage in cryptocurrency as well. We only need these kinds of adoption to reach a good market situation.

Their company alliance is definitely good for their companies together and at the same time, can help with adoption. They are backed with some of the largest Japanese people and atleast they won't have any much problems with the funding but instead, they can focus on platform development. There are platforms that can help develop for crypto (http://daomaker.com/?utm_source=lx) where the community can build a dApp, write an article, or anything that can improve the project. These are good for startups since they can hear first-hand what needs to be improved and this can be good for LINE's plan to develop an exchange.

Them being granted a business license in Japan is huge, I'm wondering what else can they develop in the blockchain space.

I don't know but there's a chance that they will but much better if they will mostly focus on the development of that exchange. I know that they can compete as well to the utility tokens market but it's already crowded and no need for more of that. Its line and investors would love to take it as long as there's use and it's a branded name so no doubt that it will take the attention of most investors.

I think this will be a good project because all we know that line messenger is also a popular specially in asia and south east asia so many investors and participant will going to participate and patronized on this future project. On the other hand it is also an advantageto crypto image because in this future big companies investors like line messenger.

Does the content involve only a cryptocurrency investment or a new project? This detail is very important. Will they invest in any blockchain-based project? I think if the official explanation comes, then we can be more specific

Line is actually involved in Crypto for a long time now. Japan and Japanese companies are positive about blockchain and crypto development and has been working to create a better environment. Line already has two exchanges, one bitbox.me and another is bitmax app exchange.
Link is a crypto project of Line that has dependent roadmap. The recent funding seems to exclusively cover investments.

Japan was always ahead of the schedule if it goes into technology and especially blockchain. A lot of banks have partnered with XRP and this is their next step. I hope this would cause much more effect of crypto currencies as Bakkt did.

there are so many campaigns trying to come together so that the joint results are better, but this does not guarantee any success. we have already seen many alliances that could not survive

if they create a new exchanging service where people could use to dump fiat for bitcoin then it could be a good addition specially for the Japanese people but if they end up creating yet another garbage token then it will be a waste of time. right now i can't tell which one they are going to do, maybe both since the news sites have mentioned both apparently.

I think it will eventually be both. It is now fashionable and gives the opportunity to earn even more money. In any case, the news is interesting. I will follow the development.

This is good news. I guess Line is reacting to the field day its competitor Kakao is having in Blockchain and cryptocurrency by making a venture into crypto as well. With over 600m app downloads on Android and IOS, we could as well be on boarding over 1percent of that number into crypto. Adoption is certain ;)

Even though the current condition of the cryptocurrency market is less good compared to last year, but with the increasing number of reputable companies entering the market, I think this will provide a strong sense of optimism for investors. I am still optimistic that the cryptocurrency market will continue to grow and maybe in the next few years, market value will penetrate the trillion dollars

I really love how the Japanese are treating cryptocurrency. The government is welcoming. The people are avid supporters. The companies are getting into it. Crypto exchanges there are properly regulated. As a matter of fact, Japan is considered the largest market for Bitcoin (https://complyadvantage.com/knowledgebase/crypto-regulations/cryptocurrency-regulations-japan/).

This is not the first time that Line goes into a crypto partnership. And they have also reached this agreement much earlier. Everything looks properly planned and executed. The country and the people of Japan are really one of a kind.

That's odd.

What do you mean encrypted messages in line ? I thought it should be somehow related to storing cryptocurrency, would it mean that, we can simply talk and store cryptocurrency at the same time? If that so, what would be the purpose of that, I am just wondering since It is new for me to know information about messenger app that is associated with cryptocurrency other than telegram.

Its great to be honest, that some of the companies starting to adopt crypto again. because you know market become very stagnant  since the long bearish season occured in the market. And in my opinion probably this is the only solution that can help to give back the development of some alternative coins.  So i hope this isn't a fake news . So that some of the investors will do the same as well as a contribution for the progress. Not for the worst.   :D

I think there has been enough news about this before. In addition, Japan is also very close to the development of this technology, so it's only natural that one of the largest messenger line companies today is embracing cryptocurrency. some previous articles also said that line messenger also obtained a license for crypto exchanges.
I think, little by little, big technology is starting to embrace cryptocurrency to strengthen profits, and expand their business.

the information on that channel I think can be used as a reference to cryptocurrency price movements because I see a lot of various cryptocurrency news that can give a lot of influence on traders at the exchange place. my suggestion is maybe you can combine it with some other channels so you can find out which is good.

That is a good news, LINE Messenger is a popular app in my place too. Can peoples in cryptocurrency contribute to their project by buying their coin ? When will they launching their coin offering ? I think it would be good if this project open to peoples who want to support and invest on the project.
