Title: Anyone have experience using Brave browser to earn BAT tokens?
Post by: jmigdlc99 on October 07, 2019, 08:42:50 AM
I've been seeing some ads lately advertising that you can earn around $50-100 USD in BAT tokens per month by simply using the Brave browser. Does anyone have any experience and is there any truth to this ad?

I tried looking at their website but couldn't find much info (other than referral bonuses) so i'm thinking it's too good to be true.

I once tried using Brave Browser and it's true that I get a BAT token every month from my monthly reference to get 65 BAT, and now I don't use it anymore.

Yes that is true, but BAT token does not cover every country around the world. The ads are visible only for US, Canada, UK, French, and Germany.
outside the covered country, you will only at most get around 10 BAT monthly. I knew this because I was once their users but stopped it because it was so buggy for me.
if you want to find more information, do not go to their website but go to their forum: https://community.brave.com/

i haven't because i have read too many negative things about the project itself that made me decide against it. for starters their services is very limited and only accept certain countries,... so much for decentralized boarderless dreams that Satoshi started!
then there is the news a couple of months ago about them forcing KYC on all their users. and i wouldn't want to give up my identity just maybe to be able to earn a tiny amount of money!

I'm also tried using Brave Browser and its true a more faster browser compare to others and im also get some BAT tokens monthly but my problem is you cant withdraw that BAT directly since it was required to tip it to other site or even to your self. i find it more complicated just to gain some BAT tokens and i really dont know that each individual can earn as much as $100 dollars worth of BAT tokens just by browsing or maybe it was include the referral sign ups by promotion.

It's a true reward with BAT I've seen those ads and videos everywhere but never tried to do it.
and now I don't use it anymore.
Why? is that because they are no longer paying or you just want to? anyone until now who's still using it and getting paid from using the browser? is that all you need to do to earn BATs by just using them?

You will not earn by just using it. You should refer user or connect your content account like youtube so that you can earn. The pay per ads feature of Brave browser is still not working on all countries. Based on what I heard, only few countries have access on this feature.

---

If you really want to earn crypto just by using adblocker same on the concept of brave. Why not try Adbank adblocker. You will be paid per ads appear on your browser as well as referral commission.

$50 - $100 is over estimation! You can easily earn around $15 worth of bat token every month. But yes, if you use browser for more than 8 hours a day, then it may be possible! But make sure you opt in for their reward program separately.  By default it is not enabled!

But Brave as a browser is really fast and great to use! Even if you don't get rewarded, it has other benefits!

Been using brave browser, an yet to get any reward, even though I keep upgrading to the latest version, yet all my ads always get blocked. I am using it because of some site. I may just buy some BAT and never hope on the reward again.

I been using it for 3 months. They are paying in ADB token. The current price is very low but there is high chance that it will recover soon due to their active partnership. Actually they have are giving away 10M worth of ADB for sign up bonus on this month of october. :)

quite interesting discussion. it's very good and profitable when only using Brave for the browser while generating BAT tokens. I'm interested, I found an article on how to produce BAT from brave sites. here's the link Brave rewards (https://brave.com/brave-rewards/)

hope this is useful

I used this browser but did not get anything and eventually stopped using it, I do not find it different from any other browser plus I did not get any BAT.

I really respect the Brave development team, they got a really high-quality and multi-functional product.
Unfortunately, as mentioned above, payment for viewing ads is not available in every country. Do not even try to use VPN, it will not help.
The project is trying to do what so far no one has succeeded. Let's see if Brave becomes the flagship in this regard.
After all, logically, this is normal when an advertiser pays his customers for viewing their ads, but this practice is still not widespread.

I thought its not for all. The ads are only visible ona 1st world country. Anywah, brave browser is such a good browser. Fast and reliable.

They are still paying for people who use brave browser, but you cannot earn that much if you will not refer people.
The offer was a long time ago so i guess most people are being referred if not, not interested to get free Bat!

Now there are many ways to make money in this browser. create content/watch some advertising and you will receive BAT tokens, but in order to earn 50-100 dollars you will need to spend a lot of time

That's true, but to get BAT, you have to regularly use and earn more by introducing more users will be more, for me do not care much for that, to be able to earn us Must learn more about how to withdraw BAT by another website.

It was obvious from the very beginning, that this scheme would be same as altcoin faucets. The earnings are so low, that you would only spend your time and effort. Maybe if you would launch 100 bots to watch the ads, it would bring something.

I think that if you approach these earnings from the right side and the right strategy, you could make good money, but if you just watch the advertisement by yourself it’s not worth it

It depends, I once earned bat before by using the brave browser but it took me a month to received it. That is thru referral, once you agree to the referral of using the BAT as your browser, they will validate it by you waiting one month as well as you, sharing the link to other people takes time, it also needs 1 month for the payment to come into your account. It's quite to long that so I decided not to continue referring.

This BAT with their product, the Brave Browser is good for the cryptocurrency world since they have already lot of users, even me, I'm from google chrome browser and recently switched to Brave Browser.
And I also recently saw some article about on the CEO of Brave Browser which said that the Brave Browser users is increasing since the release of their product, so good news especially for those people/content creator which you can earn BAT TOKENS.

And just note that about their KYC things;
Uphold KYC (know-your-customer) verification is now required in order to receive BAT publisher payouts
KYC things on privacy browser/cryptocurrency about browser.

Brave brower currently only provides this service in certain regions. The country I live in is not in these areas. Although I use VPN service, Brave somehow knows what area I live in. And naturally, I don't get BAT Awards.

I think Brave browser is in the testing phase now, but I think it would be much more efficient if it turned into a project that would cover the whole world. I'm sure Brave has a plan like that in the long run.

But even though I use a VPN service, I really don't understand how Brave browser understands what country I live in.

But I always support blockchain-based projects. A Blockchain-based browser, decentralized stroge a youtube-like video platform, messaging app and social media platform etc.

$50 per month is not possible atm.
I use it regularily since about 5 monthes.
As you can see at the picture I collected 21,14 $, so round about 4$ per month.
But if they will deliver more advertizement in the future, it can be 50$ per month imo.

Click on "Rewards Settings" and look if "Brave Rewards" are activated with the slider.
Then adjust "Maximum number of ads displayed" to 5 ads per hour.
Put "Auto contribute" OFF.
That should work.

I have used the brave browser on both the platforms i.e. Mobile (Android) and PC for almost a month but I didn't earn any BATs at all. Maybe my country isn't supported yet. I don't know what's wrong. I just browsed exactly like what I was doing in Firefox. Anyway I got tired of seeing the ads. Good luck to the team for creating a good and reliable browser but it's not worth to spend your time to earn in this way.

if you don't earn any single BAT while browsing that means your country is not supported.
Here what i found in the Brave Browser FAQ
Brave Ads are available in:

Check and confirm that Brave Ads is currently available in your region. Currently supported countries and regions include:

🇺🇸 United States (US)
🇬🇧 United Kingdom (UK)Canada
🇫🇷 France
🇩🇪Germany.
🇦🇺Australia
🇮🇪 Ireland
🇳🇿 New Zealand
We are working to expand the Ads platform to additional regions as soon as possible. Also realize that even in countries where Brave Ads is available, the number of ads seen can vary according to specific demand.
