Post by: PokeMoonRock on October 07, 2019, 03:04:25 PM
Multicurrency HD wallet with built-in Hybrid Anonymously Exchange based on atomic swap technology

Website link: https://atomex.me/
Github link: https://github.com/atomex-me/atomex.client.wpf
Explanatory article (https://baking-bad.org/blog/2019/09/25/atomex-decentralized-exchange-cross-chain-atomic-swaps-on-practice/)

What makes Atomex special?

Atomex Hybrid exchange combines advantages of centralized and DeCentralized exchanges:
  • You're in control: Private keys are kept encrypted on your computer. Cross-chain transactions are carried out using Atomic Swaps.
  • No additional fees: You pay only miner commission for both regular and cross-chain transactions.
  • Stay incognito: It’s 100% anonymously! No registration or identity verification required. However, all addresses are checked against abuses and suspicious origin of funds.
  • Liquidity providers: Your counterparty is not only an ordinary user but a professional market maker whose task is to ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Trading APIs:Atomex provides WebSocket API for wallets and market makers. Contact us if you have questions regarding integration.

What’s Atomic Swap?

Atomic swap is a technology for anonymous and secure exchange of digital assets without the need to trust a third party. It’s as secure as cryptographic primitives and blockchain implementation it's based on. It's mathematically proved that in every scenario you either succeed with an exchange or get your money back. Atomex uses an on-chain implementation based on hashed timelock smart-contracts. Reed more (https://blockgeeks.com/guides/atomic-swaps/).

How long does an atomic swap take?

Depending on the chosen pair of cryptocurrencies, the exchange may take from several minutes to half an hour. The maximum time is 6 hours, after which the funds are returned.

How are private keys stored?

Your private keys are stored ONLY on your device, encrypted using AES-256. You have to unlock your wallet with the encryption password on every start.

Any fees?
No, since you control all the keys.

Passive income

Staking Tezos brings passive income automatically. Decentralized Lending features coming soon.

How to get started?
Download the application.
Create a testnet or mainnet wallet.
You can use Atomex wallet tutorial on GitHub (https://github.com/atomex-me/atomex.client.wpf/wiki/Atomex-wallet-tutorial)
Top up your wallet with testnet or real coins.
You can get testnet coins from different faucets, eg BTC (https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet/), ETH (https://faucet.ropsten.be/), LTC (https://faucet.xblau.com/), XTZ (https://faucet.tzalpha.net/).

Conversion:

Through the interface it looks much easier to access. There were lots and lots of wallets into usage, very few among them gains the users trust. With the wallets trust is more important, you need to promote and gain the trust. These days even the legit projects looks to be scam and perfect scams looks like perfectly legit. At least spare a little and promote few campaigns which will get some people to use your wallet. If found good, they'll give positive reviews which is how trust keeps growing.

Thanks a lot for your feedback!
The wallet is open source and publicly available on the GitHub (https://github.com/atomex-me/atomex.client.wpf) and everybody can check that there are no fraudulent backdoors. Smartcontracts of the atomic swaps are also open source! Hopefully, users will someday start using this kind of exchange :)

What especial features for the wallet do you prepare? Today in such a large number of projects it is quite difficult to make a choice. Why did you choose the first additional currency - Tezos? Tell us who is included in your team and what are the terms and stages for the development of atomix project? I see that IOS version in development, what about Android one ?

The wallet is only a convenient interface for the main feature - trustlesly anonymous exchange through atomic swaps. The first coins to be implemented were BTC ETH and LTC. But part of our team is involved in the Tezos ecosystem (development of libraries and tools for developers and community). If it's interesting, there is information about the team and our activities here (https://baking-bad.org/docs). But we are not promoting Tezos through the Atomex projects :) We plan to add Atomic swaps with other coins.
I think the version for the Android mobile platform will be the first) But still we focus on creating an anonymous exchange without a third party. I think we will focus on integrating with already existing wallets via API, instead of just competing..

Yes, we want to make it easy to store and exchange coins safely and in one place without intermediaries. Adding new coins is part of the plan. But this will require writing appropriate smart contracts and adding liquidity.

Meanwhile, Atomex (https://atomex.me) works just perfectly in Tezos Babylon, XTZ/ETH and XTZ/BTC pairs are available for the secure exchange right inside your desktop wallet.
BTC/ETH, BTC/LTC are available as before 8)

This project looks very interesting to me, special thanks for making it open source, that means a lot and I've yet to see a project like this leave all its code open. I havent yet looked into the code but I'm wondering if your API would be suitable for use within our Electrum fork called Zephyr : https://github.com/mrcarlanthony/Zephyr-wallet

Would love to get a conversation started with you guys, thanks

You'll be able to use your wallet without any problems. Receiving and sending transactions. Atomex is non-custodial wallet.
However, the swap may be rejected if the source of your funds is blacklisted. In this case, there will be a refund in blockchains without any risk of freezing funds.

Which sources are blacklisted if you can mention some.

Looks like I can compare this project to EIDOO. They also have the hybrid exchange but your project however didn't launch a token for it. Non custodial is good. I haven't tried but we can create wallet address for every transaction we do?  I'd like to know this.

Like the ones that block the major exchanges.

As far as I understand, eidoo’s exchange only works with ethereum and ERC-20 tokens.
We use the atomic swap technology with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Tezos. Some ERC-tokens are coming.
You can find a guide about atomic swap here (https://blockgeeks.com/guides/atomic-swaps/), eg

can you share what type of funds that blacklisted from your wallet?
because i'm afraid that i can't withdraw my balance later if i deposit my coins into your wallet if the website that i usually playing is got blacklisted from yours

We don't have our own blacklist. Atomex take all information about it from public and private sources. I can't write more info about it here.

As I have already written, Atomex is non-custodial wallet. All your funds are stored only on your PC locally. Even during the exchange process(atomic swap), your funds are not accessible to third parties and cannot be blocked by anyone.

The thing is, different exchanges block coins for different reasons. Some don't want to be involved in helping fraudsters or hackers liquidate their ill-gotten gains and I don't think there's anything wrong in that, but others can ban your account if there aren't enough hops between your coins from your tx and a provably fair gambling website.

Yes, I agree. However, on Atomex, nobody can block your funds. Everyone can see that, because the mechanism for the exchange and storage is open source.

Now there is an alternative to Binance, Gate.io, CoinbasePro and other centralized staking! With Atomex (https://atomex.me), you can delegate and exchange Tezos at the same time, fully controlling your funds! Moreover, you can select any baker from the comprehensive list by Baking Bad (https://baking-bad.org).

You can easily store, exchange and delegate XTZ to various validators from one place and get passive income automatically

For your understanding, atomic swap is decentralized exchange. Thus, this process, like every decentralized network, needs an uninterrupted connection to other participants for good work. So, if you lose the connection for some reason, your swap can refund the money. Either way, during the swap the funds are safe - either the swap will pass or the funds will return.
