Wow, for a newbie you have a good amount of money to invest in altcoin my friend
And in my opinion put your money on Xrp more than ethereum is not good
Anyway my biggest portofolio in altcoin is about $30k on ethereum and $20k on binance coin

In 2017, a friend of mine bought thousands of nano with 1 btc. If I remember correctly nano was $0.45 in those days. About 2 months later, when the price of nano exceeded $20, my friend had entered with 1 btc ended with 32 btc this adventure. I was really impressed by this success and I think the biggest altcoin portfolio I've ever seen was that portfolio

Is this yours? that's huge. How much you've bought them before? and I guess that you have sold most of them but managed to store some for the future pumps.

He might be a newbie rank in the forum but he probably might be got into crypto market earlier than us and bought those coins earlier or during the launching days. I'm amazed that you guys have managed to have a lot but with my story, well it's not interesting. I don't hold that much in altcoins and I've got few in bitcoin.

so, thats your biggest portofolio balance my friend
because you just write a story of your friend not yours
talk about the past, i remember when i bought some verge with only 0.1 BTC in april 2017 and in that time the price of verge only 5 sat and i sell my verge at 988 sat in december 2017 and i got about 19,7 BTC

That's a big advantage, friend. I have never made such a big profit, I only invested in a few ICOs in 2017 (lympo, Datum, Universa, Bitclave) and only got 3x or 4x of the capital. but I got a lot of losses in 2018.

When you say come across do you mean this is something you personally owned or simply something you saw in an online wallet (lol)?

4.5k eth is close to manipulation levels. I'd be surprised if you actually had that amount of crypto because if so you'd probably not be here in this forum and instead be on a beach sipping on coconuts while naked ladies sip on something else (not my dream).

What is the price of eth on the time you acquire it? I can still remember I owned 7eth from bounty on the early 2018 when the price is at around 800$,that is the time that I dont know if I will hold or should I sell because of the price movement from 1k dollar to 800$ and still wanting to make a good profit from holding but I decided to sell it rather than lose some because of greediness.

Oh, that is a huge wealth!

But hey guys, the OP is not saying that is his personal portfolio. He is saying that it is the biggest altcoin portfolio he has ever come across. There is nothing in there that claims he is the owner of that treasure.

I have not come across other people's portfolios, much less the exact number of coins in there. I've only seen wallets with huge balances but mostly it in BTC and not altcoins.

This is a very good story of how 1 Bitcoin was eventually rolled up to become 32 Bitcoin in terms of value with the help of the Nano coin. The year was, of course, 2017 which was the time when many of the existing coins and tokens made their colorful and exciting ATH. No wonder many of those who invested at the early part of 2017 made a killing just months after when the bull run got into its course.

As for a portfolio, I know of a friend in social media who got almost $200,000 in Ethereum but unfortunately after that the Eth went into dips and now I think his portfolio is just around $30,000 if I am not mistaken (actually he sold some of his coin last year, that is why it declined a lot). As for me, I only have a minuscule amount of Bitcoin, Ethereum and some shitcoins too (from bounties, of course) and total value can be negligible but I am planning to add more this year in preparation for the halving next year and expected ensuing bull run.

My portfolio to date (not including Bitcoin) is around 52 Ethereum, 4 Bitcoin Cash, 14 Dash and dozens of worthless coins that come from investments and bounty programs :D

Why is everybody holding so much XRP? It is really hilarious that the majority of crypto community says that Ripple is a garbage coin and that it is worth several cents, are most likely the biggest XRP holders.

That is the biggest portfolio. We have so many potential altcoins, which can increase later, and hopefully, all of that altcoin can increase together so we can make a big profit this time. For people who missed the last time of the bull run, you can try to be patient for a while until the bull run comes. I think the bull run can happen at the end of this year if the market can move like this. But if the market is unstable like a few months ago, then we are hard to see the bull run comes.

I only have few bitcoin, and for about 7 others altcoin which I don't want to tell ;D

Personally, I haven't reach that status, but I have several BTC already stash somewhere else.

But if you have that in your portfolio, then yes, this is very huge and it looks like you are on your way of making big money here just by holding on it.

It's good to see that there are smart investors today. I mean we are in the bear market, so it's really a good time to stash more coins and just HODL on it. You can start small and then continue to grow your portfolio throughout the years.

a long time ago, i even created a few favorites for different wallets. a clear assignment to users
here or on other platforms was often not so easy. and otherwise only the cold wallets of exchanges
are overwhelming. the rest just shrinks anyway. :-X

A lot of people will invest in this period because this is a very good time to buy cheap pennies and if you learn more about some potential projects, you can consider investing if you want. The crypto market will certainly return to the uptrend and what to do now is wait because there are only a few months left for the year to end. I think some big coins like BTC, ETH, LTC, BCH will tend to rise together someday and will make this market more active.

I also hold a lot of altcoins during this time but mostly focus on Bitcoin more as this is still the safest coin in crypto.

you have to be real crazy or ultra rich (as in a billionaire) to dump that much money into altcoins that don't have any future and have a guaranteed hard price drops in their future. specially when the real investment meaning bitcoin is there and has been always outperforming everything else by a big margin.

It is amazing that you put all your faith in altcoins right now.  Altcoin seems unable to grow during this period because BTC has too much appeal to investors.  Most of them will choose BTC because they want high profits.  But perhaps it will be even worse when you choose ETH for your investment as it has stabilized in the market for nearly half a year now.

Wow, I'm impressed by that guy. Did he told you how he has managed to acquire that huge wealth? before it might not that be as big as he thinks but now the value is enormous. Does this means that until today, he is holding this number on his portfolio? I'm sure that he's still continuing investing to different altcoins that he might find interesting and is buying huge quantity again waiting for the right time to harvest it. These investors that has this huge portfolio chooses to remain lowkey.

He started really really early. 14-15 maybe. Yes, he is still holding this and he has a good number of bitcoins as well.
I think that he will still be investing in altcoins considering the fact that his portfolio is big and the type of guy he is, he would surely be.
He is not very vocal about it though, we were taking for a while so he showed his portfolio.

Just try searching Binance on Etherscan and you will be surprised to see the results. The biggest portfolio are usually hold by exchanges. There are over 1000 coins worth more than $200M on Binance's ETH address.

For me it's Credits https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/credits/  I have over 50k of these coins it's one of the coins that I got from bounty campaign, that I really make a huge profit, I really miss the old days of bounty campaign because you can be sure that every campaign that you get in are legit and will reward you handsomely and Credits is one of them.

Many investors here in this forum had a lot of coins in their collection as they invested during the initial phase, i invested $10k during the ICO period and those who were in the market during that time knows that how many coins you will be having if you invest that much :D. So these are not unusual amount and i was mining too and i made a ton of profit with ETH alone and that was the biggest profit in my entire life.

It really huge amount of money, but may I know when you came to start investing to both altcoins? If you came when before 2017, then I believe you'll earn a lot of money on them but you don't you'll be someone who has found a great lost on this industry.

The both of coin price just slumped down hardly even I followed the marketcap everyday and the price XRP just meet a decrease price so far. I came to this place just only bought 1 when its price has touched $1000 2017 ago. Thus far, if I count I still get a lose but I still holding it since I believe the price of ETH has a chance to recover.

Buying Altcoins is actually very good, it can give you quick and insane profits that Bitcoin can't give. And to top it all, it doesn't take much time. But learning not to buy shitcoins is another thing. It's Very nice seeing such testimonies. Alot of people who bought some good alts before the 2017 bull run actually made a very good profit.

But the risk is higher also, buying bitcoin is guaranteed for long investment like 2 years or more.
While buying altcoins is for quick profits or day trading.
Either bitcoin or altcoins are good, depends on what the purpose

Bitcoin is for investors who want to make a long-term profit and don't have to worry too much about the volatility of this market as this is the only option they have. If you choose to invest altcoin, it is best to make a reasonable investment plan because altcoins tend to decrease more and often increase only when good news appears. I personally choose both ways to make a profit but I only spend 20% of my assets investing altcoin.

This market has a lot of big changes and if you do not catch up with other traders then you will definitely be a bait for them to make money.

That's amazing having this kind of portfolio is very hard to achieve especially if you are newbie. Maybe you just keep on buying that's wht you reach that amount of xrp and ethereum. Even if you are newbie if you rich you buy that amount of xrp and ethereum. But, make sure you conduct your own research before you invest in xrp and eth. In my portfolio you can see4 altcoins which are btc, xrp , eth and bnb but, most of my funds are in bitcoin.

I also had very big portfolio in early 2017 when ICX touched $12 and Ethos went up to $10 than it brought a lot of money to me but at the moment I'm still holding some tokens but value dropped very badly so it is not in big size but enough for next bull rally.

from the experience that I have gained a lot of benefits from altcoin, but that I can get from the last year in 2017, and now it has been running for 2 years has not gotten too much profit anymore because of the terrible market conditions and all my assets are stuck at expensive prices right now all I can do is hold back until the price goes up again.

In early 2018, I had very big portfolio of 15+ coins consisting mostly of ICO tokens and shitcoins. Though I have cashed out most of them but I still regret for not cashing out at the right time when the market was at peak. If the market ever booms like that, I will take the profits at the right time and won't be greedy.
