It is the biggest problem that we cannot fully stop even in fiat scammers are rampant but in crypto currencies they are more active as they have plenty of scheme on how to steal the others money.

That is only one of their scheme, copy the image of big exchange or reputable project and they will do their best to exploit money from inexperience crypto users.

We as users should also protect ourselves and warn others if it's possible in our situation. Scammers are not only staying to the crypto market but they are everywhere as long as there's a monetary benefit that they can take. Don't worry karma is real and these scammers will suffer in the right time but right now, we have to be aware of every transaction and investments that we do.

Personally I think the main problem here is not only about scammers but education is one of the major role that caused cryptocurrency to be tainted and connected as a fraud. Many people do not do something called research before doing something, the majority of people who got scammed did not do proper research about what they were engaging for and in result leading them to get scammed by the scammers.

just if all of us have just a little bit of knowledge about cryptocurrency and have good control over our emotions, this scammer will not damage cryptocurrency this severely.

Scammers will never disappear and that's a big problem also in the real world scamer is always there, especially in the cryptocurrency world, and indeed scamer is looking for a loophole to steal money from investors in the digital world that is easily hacked so we must be careful.

I also do not imagine Binance is a big exchange but scamer is also the most widely seen from the order of the article. what is the solution from CZ about this.

IMO the number of scammers decreased a bit since there are no more numerous ICO's. I remember a lot of ICO projects were initially scams.
But since the crypto is still developing scammers have all the possibilities to scam people who are new to crypto space.
The methods are almost the same - phishing, deceiving etc but the amount of fake ICO's decreased since ICO's are in trouble.
Everyone in crypto space was scammed at least once IMHO.

Some of these scammers can really spoof some emails or make a response like they knew what they are doing. They could be the ones pretending to be admins in the telegram channel of some developer's team, an unsuspecting user could fall into their trap and will send money to them and then binance still will be to blame. Binance can report the linkedin pages to the linkedin itself so they can check the impostors pages to take down.

I completely agree. With the advent of cryptocurrencies, there are a lot of scammers and thiefs in this area. This is primarily due to the fact that they are confident in their impunity. And it is not known when government agencies will begin to prosecute such people and whether this is possible, because cryptocurrencies are anonymous.

I agree to it partially. Most of the people who have been scammed would have at least made 1 mistake due to which the scammer was successful in scamming the victim.
It's obvious that we have to be careful and research on everything before we pay anybody.
Yes the education plays an important role but I have also seen many educated people making mistakes due to which they lose their money.
So we have to be right on our side before we complaint about others.

Did I say about well-educated above? knowing about the object they are engaging with can be considered as education.
How it is not going to save you from the scammers if you know what you are dealing with? let's talk about the giveaway on Twitter as an example,
the scammer created a bot impersonating a well-known crypto influencer and asking you to give some money to them to participate in the giveaway. If you do not know what you are dealing with, you will get scammed by them. But because you know, you avoid it and save yourself from the scam.

then do you think education is unimportant in this problem? do you even understand what I am talking about?

It make sense to say scammers will never disappear from crypto world but at least there will be limits, if crypto scammers are getting nailed starting from now there will be fear in this crypto space and once there is fear scammers won't be bold to use their real identity and people won't have to invest in projects with anonymous teams

investors are decreasing, scammers are increasing. Many new investors who jump into the world of crypto are trapped in the dirty game of scammers who then make crypto known as a scammer's lair. Investors must be smarter than scammers so they don't get caught up, have to be more updated and stay alert. report and spread on forums and other media if you know a scammer so that other people don't get caught in the same dirty game.

That is the problem with having no regulations. Since, cryptocurrencies are largely decentralized and there is no central authority. You're your own bank and responsible for the safety of your own funds, the problem of scams and hacks have become a big problem. If you are trusting a third party, be it exchange, wallets or anything, you should understand the risk associated with it. Exchnages can definitely work on eliminating such hacks and scams. But the interesting thing is that the exchanges themselves are involved in manipulation. So, at the end, yes crypto is a highly manipulated space. Thus, our safety lies in our own hands.

Scammers are not only in the crypto environment. But they are always there wherever you are. Therefore, you must always be ready and alert to acts of fraud that might occur to yourself. Before thinking of a larger scale, you better prepare yourself to face it. If individually we are ready and can plan something to deal with it, then we do not need to worry anymore with the impact caused. Every day everyone is also growing and not always easily caught up in their game.

Let's face the truth.. There are scammers in every industry in the world. Take for example the car industry, forex, stocks, you name it. People will find ways to make money in ilegitimate ways until the end of the world. That's how some people are wired, they want to make it the easy way, but if you look closely, stealing is not the easy way because you will live a miserable life.

I wouldn't say that scammers are the biggest problem in crypto, but we should take the necessary measures to point them out and especially make informative campaigns for beginners on how to stay away from potential con artists.

In the crypto world that is anonymous or not, scam acts often occur. The trigger is that they can have a lot of money easily. Create a new project, open ICO or IEO then spread the news to the forum. One thing that is certain is that a scammer will always be around as long as the crypto world is on. Either a scam project, or an individual scammer, or a runaway developer. To be sure, multiply your knowledge and expand research before plunging.

In my opinion, every government must work towards legalizing cryptocurrencies, so at least scams through startups with their ICOs get in check. I see millions of dollars being invested but as soon as the coin hits the market the founders sell their share making profits for themselves and resulting loss for the investors and users.

All this comes down to the individuals who don't invest their time doing proper research before investing their hard-earned money. Scams have been happening for centuries, changing their form as technology changes and we must educate ourselves to avoid them.

False identities isn't a cryptoscene problem. The problem is that in Linkedin is unregulated and accounts are not a proof of anything.
Literally anyone can create a page there and fake an education and work history; there's no trust system of any kind.
Funny thing is that this could be probably solved with a zero-knowledge proof.
Right now we are the perfect target group for scammers, but that's one of the things we have to pay for not being a regulated space.
We might not fix stupidity, but we can fix the issue with false identities.

Scammers these days are broad even in banks and other domains. In the crypto world, it’s really the problem facing these days and scammers continue on their wrongdoings as this their way to have an easy money. Never invest without knowing the project. So people should go through studying a project first before concluding to invest.

We can't fully eliminate them so we must be the one to think of ways to avoid them. It's also a good thing the crypto users here are always reminding each other to be aware of scammers. That's the fact, scammers are everywhere and trying to eliminate them is simply futile but scam can be prevented by using education. by educating people in crypto the scam will drastically go down because fewer people are getting trapped. it's like the case of why people are switching from ICO to IEO they are just tired of being scammed and only invest into something that has a really small chance to be scam and more legit despite all the complicated requirement to enroll into only one IEO from big popular exchange they'd still prefer it over losing money.

Scammers are everywhere wether online or personal. We can't stop these people to what they are doing but we can rather protect ourselves from the harm they are bringing to us. I'm pretty sure a social media platfrom such as Linkedin have already fugured this out and they are currently evaluating possible solutions but as a smart user, we must not be dependent on it.

If the scamer is already so big, then the development of the cryptocurrency world will definitely be hampered, and such a large number is already difficult to destroy, maybe for now we can only be vigilant so as not to include victims of scamer and I am sure they will have their own advantages in creating scamer projects.

Yes, and sometimes the number of scammers is more than that. Therefore, investing in ICO projects is very dangerous when the information of the team is provided in an unrealistic manner. It is clear that an unemployed person can become a great businessman with a series of lies about his career.
This is an alarming situation and we should really be alert.

there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn.
Not a surprise at all.  There used to be a rash of impersonators on bitcointalk, trying to imitate the profiles of notable escrows and other senior members, all of them trying to pull scams.  Scamming in the ICO space is rampant.  Scamming in the loan and currency exchange sections is also rampant.  So yes, I would agree that this is one of, if not *the*, biggest issue with cryptocurrency.

And we all know why this is.  The anonymity crypto provides along with its inability to reverse transactions once sent makes crypto the ideal playing field for scammers...and it's not going to get better, only worse in my opinion.  The only thing we as a community can do is to be vigilant, skeptical, and try to educate newbies about the dangers inherent in the space.

When people stop falling for all these scams, there might be some improvement but I'm not exactly hopeful about that.

Scammers are the biggest problem in the crypto space. The crypto world is getting affected due to scammers cheating investors, traders and bounty hunters. So ways must be sought to control scam projects. First of all, people should be fully aware of scam projects. For that, they should research fully beforehand. Regulations can also control scam projects.

It wasn't alarming anymore, we've already known this kind of inevitable action that made by those people who aren't do anything but just to scam others. Feel disgusting how they'll exist but here they are, and they are actually a part of this growing market. They will be the ones to be blamed for ruining the market image but somehow, it is too hard to rid them out. Only we need to be careful and never get tempted for their fool offerings.

Scammers are bad for the crypto world and for the blockchain world. But not only in the crypto world, but in normal life, there are crooks all over the world.

A person of average intelligence can easily recognize a scammer easily. You don't have to be a genius for that. Anyone who offers free money is probably a fraud. In this world, if you see anyone offers anything for "free" is probably a liar.

As indicated by Changpeng Zhao, the CEO and originator of Binance, there are in excess of 1,500 Binance con artists on the expert informal community LinkedIn. The quantity of Binance scammers on LinkedIn can in the end arrive at 1,605. Now imagine how big scammers are damaging crypto

I think it's time crypto must be based on law, so scammers will think twice if they want to commit fraud. if there is a strong law, then every person or project that will start will work to its full potential.

We know why scammers can grow big in cryptocurrency, that the freedom of underlying cryptocurrency transactions, then users who lack understanding and other gaps to benefit from new users, this makes scammers still exist. If there are some regulations regarding transactions like now where the exchanger has a requirement that the user must submit KYC, the user will be annoyed because the transaction will be more complicated. Here we need an organization or someone who wants to be consuled by newbie about cryptocurrency that smells of scam, than I know that someone who is new to crypto is definitely more easily influenced by large profits without further researching.

The problem is not the scammers but the ignorance and lack of knowledge of the people in investing. There are scammers if there will be people that are willing to get scammed but there will be no scammers if there are people who are knowledgeable enough to identify if the opportunity that is being offered to them is legit or just a scam. It is all about being educated in managing our own money and also in terms of investing.

I believe this can be lessen if people especially those who are new in crypto will have basic knowledge on how most people get scammed and how to secure their money in crypto.

Scammers are part of the crypto problem but I don't know if they are the biggest. They are probably not the biggest. If the crypto community is already wise and informed enough, scammers will also be leaving. The biggest problem in cryptocurrency perhaps is the threat coming from hackers. Hackers are more brilliant and unknown than scammers. They can steal billions in crypto in a matter of minutes. They are harder to find than scammers also.

Cryptocurrency or digital money is most likely the new target of scammers, but crypto users can avoid them by taking care of their own cryptocurrency inckuding their wallets and investments. As long as we are knowledgeable about crypto and the existence of scammers, we can stop their scam.

The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency makes it easy for them to operator as they want. They come up with different schemes, not minding the damage they are doing to their victims. Some people have in the process lost their entire life savings to scammers and today such people will always talk I'll about cryptocurrency. What I am saying invariably, is that a lot of people  have been discouraged, because of scammers.

Unfortunately, I really don't see this improving much at all in the future when more and more people start getting into crypto. It's been a problem for a long time, and scamming's an issue in almost every single online community. We can do our best here and elsewhere on platforms like Twitter to educate people about scams, but even though most scams are very blatant and simple to determine with a little bit of common sense, there's likely only going to be more and more scammers as time goes on. They're probably going to get more elaborate with time as well, and when they do, posting information about such scams here and elsewhere will help minimize the number of people getting scammed.

We should not trust Linked, Linked is a famous hub of con artist, this is where scam projects get there team, I have seen a carton where it depicts Linked as community of impostors because they are not verifying if what you re putting in your profile are all true, I don't have a premium account here and they don't ask KYC if you are a true professional.

Due to increasing scam projects, investor are loosing their confidence on new projects and due to which projects even which are genuine, are failing. This in turn taking the mindset of investors and market in negative direction.
We need strong regulations to avoid scams and to increase the confidence of investors so that new projects can come and grow. We can say research in crypto is kind of  getting affected due to scams

Not even you did your full research but the potential of getting into scam project still possible. We do have lots of sentiments regarding to this concern but still it's exist and being more developed. Scammers are hiding around by showing realistic and attractive offers, You'll soon realized that you are being victimized when the turned around of the project failed.
You realize that scammers get into you even you responsibly done with doing good research, regulations which been created to help removing the possibilities of scammed projects to continue to exist around this market is needed it should be fully equipped by government rulings.

You're a little wrong. I believe that the main problem of cryptocurrency is the lack of state support and the lack of regulators. We all see bakkt inefficiency to date. Scammers are a natural selection and teach the community to avoid fake projects. Now fewer people are becoming victims of fraud and it pleases. They will soon disappear. But regulators continue their opposition.

It is one of the main reasons why governments in other countries don't trust cryptocurrency because it has a lot of scammers that other people think that crypto is just a scam and it is not profitable, which is not true. Cryptocurrencies are very profitable the only hindrance is that there a lot of fraud and scams, that is why people are afraid to buy cryptocurrency.

Reputation wreckers like those are the downfall of this industry but I also believe that it can still heal in time. Public news especially in televisions picked up this kind of information in the worst way, making the whole industry to be blame why the incidents happened. I know some in real life that don't even know the difference between cryptocurrency and bitcoin. Yet, when he hear the local news about it how someone was arrested because of online scam, he had the audacity to generalize the whole industry of crypto as a ponzi scheme.

Absolutely true!! Therefore, now many projects are running their projects openly. I mean, most blockchain startups start by introducing their team members and individual background experiences. I think the way they do it can affect the attractiveness of investors so that they do not hesitate to invest their funds in companies with clear origins. However, besides this, there are still projects that choose to remain anonymous in carrying out the project, honestly I am less interested in this kind of project because it is difficult to see the track record and also their seriousness in building the project.

It is because of lack of knowledge on how does bitcoin and trading really works and a lot of HYIP programs are popping-up and some people are joining this kind of scheme.

Well, if there aren't people who just present themselves as easily duped, and people who don't fall for these scammers so easily, then there wouldn't be so many of them. Kind of like HYIPs. And ICOs. People kind of know these are scams but they want to get in first and make their quick bucks, and then they fall for the trap. When it doesn't turn out well, they whine about scams.

We all know better than that. But do we all do better?

Scammers really have destroyed cryptocurrency world. Due to decentralize in nature of cryptoc platform and new comers coming in, scammers are more active in crypto world as its easy for them to scam people here, its almost impossible to identify a scammer in decentralize platform. Due to these increased scams, investors have lost their faith in crypto projects and there is a low inflow of money. Due to less inflow most of the projects are not doing good and existing coins are losing price. Its very important to develop something in blockchain to keep these scammers away so that investor's faith can be regained.

Though it was already minimal last 2018, there were still some ICO's that got a lot from their investors and are in a bad place right now which is Karatbars (https://www.coindesk.com/gold-backed-crypto-tokens-promoter-investigated-by-florida-regulators?utm_source=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.coindesk.com%2Fgold-backed-crypto-tokens-promoter-investigated-by-florida-regulators%3Dlx). Even their CEO admitted in the court that the tokens he issues has no utility and value. I admit that it's a bit difficult to spot on a scammer at its infant stage, especially when it's endorsed by top Media sites and personalities.

yes it is true that scmares are the biggest problem in the cryptoqurrency industry, scamers have damaged the image of projects or other negative things. especially in the past year and this year, scamers are increasingly rampant and always have room for negative actions in this industry including the latest events that you have conveyed.

When we are taking advantages of decentralization and non-regulation of cryptocurrencies, there has to be some negative aspects too. Nothing good comes without bad side too. So the non-regulation of ICO openly allow scammers to create whatever project they wanna to and they are easily able to scam people.rt

It is inevitable, scammers are really exist in cryptocurrency market and also in financial market. People are so greedy in terms of money and that why they are creating scam project for their own sake.

it's true, and it really can't be avoided or eliminated. if there are still many people who are greedy or greedy then it is very difficult to kill scammers. they will continue to exist and they will not stop if it still benefits them.

that's why we have to be smarter than scammers and always be careful in choosing projects so that the scam project will stop and i hope that scammers will also disappear.

But every currency, not only cryptocurrency, like fiat, there is still have scammer, maybe more big than crypto.
So there is homework for people to educate themself to know how to avoid scammer.
I think more easy to know who scamming in internet than in real world. We can put some addon in our browser to check the link is safe or not for example.

The time when the crypto was for the idea began with bitcoin and ended with the first scams back in 2012/13 then ico picked up the series of scam forks. There are very few projects that are designed to give, almost all projects are created to take away from people, but people have to blame themselves for the fact that they crave to big profit and buying a doomed crypto currency or token. For each person, a moment comes when he understands that by investing in such projects he receives only losses. Now a turning point should come (or maybe it has already came) when interest in ICO will fall to zero. let's see.

Scammers will never seize to exist even if it was government that single handedly created the cryptocurrency, is it not someone that has the bold mind to even hack the Us government server at one point? Even though he was eventually caught but he still hacked them, despite the fact it is government system, so hackers are everywhere and strong, and scammers will never seize to exist in the cryptocurrency industry, even with regulation.

The only thing that we can just do is to personally try everything possible to avoid them, and the best way to avoid them is to ensure we don't just release fund to any project without properly verifying the project and also not be too loosed on our accounts. I think at this point in cryptocurrency, only projects that are already on exchange should even be attended to.

Scammers actually reduce people's trust about cryptocurrency, those who have never tried the world of cryptocurrency and hear news about scams will assume that crypto is not safe and prone to hacker attacks, which is actually not a cryptocurrency error, but rather a careless user, or platform that is not careful do not have a strong security system.
so from this problem many people assume that crypto must have regulations so that its safety is clear.

In fiat money transactions too many frauds occur. we can't avoid this because scammers always have ways to successfully steal our money. all we have to do is increase the security of our wallet. one way might be to use a hardware wallet. we can save our bitcoin in trezor or ledger hardware wallets.

in my opinion scam always happens everywhere not only in cryptocurrency. In fiat money transactions too many frauds occur. we can't avoid this because scammers always have ways to successfully steal our money. all we have to do is increase the security of our wallet. one way might be to use a hardware wallet. we can save our bitcoin in trezor or ledger hardware wallets.

Scammers will always take advantage of people's ignorance and take advantage of people who don't understand cryptocurrency. Even in a market where regulations already exist, scammers will still be there because there are groups of people whose job is to deceive others

In fact, if you take the right steps, your risk of being defrauded is quite low.

Because the strategies of scammers are often the same: they send you a private message from the Telegram, telling you they have a new opportunity. Asking you for the private keys to your wallets. Asking you for money.

If you are dealing with these situations, you can assume that the person you are dealing with is a 100% fraudster.

Just spreading awareness won't help newbies getting scammed. Scammers use wide variety of tricks to scam them. We can't really spread awareness on every tricks. Once they get scammed they will learn their lesson and will be more cautious in their next move.
It is not about spreading awareness about the scammed project, it is about even preventing the scam project from getting to the eye of the public for us to even start thinking of reporting them after the scam has been done, that is more like drinking medicine after the head ache.

Where our full force attack should come from is where we can make sure that the scammer are not being project, because when it comes to awareness, we are still the ones that are creating awareness for them by promoting their project, if we can stop promoting their project, then it will be a very good thing that will happen to the cryptocurrency space, and the only way to stop promoting them is just to research on them and be very picky about the projects before shooting them out.

Obviously and definitely 100 percent correct scammer is the number problem in the crypto currency space, it is difficult to resolve this problem because a lot of the victim of the scammer is the newcomers in the crypto space due to lack of understanding and they trust fast to unknown people offering propaganda of the they offer.
they want an easy money its hard to resolve issue of the scammers because there are many newbie everyday that can be potentially target of those scammer.

No one can resolve this issue whenever.. you know why? because money is involve. if everyone posses with this too much they become greedy and wanted to have more. everyone got jealous and thats the start of their ghastly intention. you can avoid it if you gain more things necessary for you not to fall victim to it. just always remind your self that money is the root of everything, be wise enough to protect what is yours.

Sometimes, even though we thought that ourselves are secured, sometimes that will never be the case or the case we wanted to happen. Well, those are scammers for you. They could break a lot of shells in protecting your thing.  The best way to get rid of this is tell the authorities on what's happening if there could be some anomaly that happened. Second, secure yourselves.

make people aware of scam projects that are very influential. it is not just realizing and leaving. I agree with your opinion, when we have found a project scam, we need to do a report so that the project closes immediately, and that might save many investors who did not research a project before investing.

that way is indeed the fastest way to avoid scammers from the crypto world. it's the same as when a project is marked as a scammer project and has a mark. of course, people will realize the sign and start to avoid it. we can only help each other for things like this.

One of the major determining factors of successful scamming and scam projects is ignorance, scammers trade on ignorance. Yes, scammers can't be defeated online here, but that doesn't mean they don't have a way to avoid the strategies they built, because they often look for new ways to cheat, so we as ordinary people also must be observant in avoiding their strategies, one of which is by making specific and in-depth research on new projects, because with that I think it will also help us a little in avoiding the efforts of fraudsters.

It is not just scammers that are the problem in the Cryptocurrency Industry. Some problems are easy to solve if you are aware of the fact that we can always do background checks on some Projects or Persons running that project. Another problem is the lack of knowledge and just the fact that people want easy money. Money is always something that we need to work for and it is not given for free. Scammers scam because of the fact that they know people would do anything for money but even though we are like that, we just need to be vigilant at first. We need to be knowledgeable to avoid scammers and in that way, we can lessen the problems arising.

You said the problem is the market and lack of investors, what ruined all that? Isn't it the scammers? Remember how great crypto space was in 2017 with ICO projects? The reason why crypto is like this today is because of scammers, many investors lots of money to scam projects and they quit, though not all of them but many did

Scammers are very rampant everywhere not only in crypto market but even in fiat too. If they can see chances to exploit money from other people, they will surely use their best strategies to make it possible. But in crypto, we can still make some precautions to avoid being scam and that is to be responsible of our own account. We should always secure the privacy and security of our own accounts and be careful to keep our own passwords secretly.

Honestly, scammers are very big challenge that the crypto space is facing.  They are on increase on a daily basis; bounty campaigns, airdrops, trading and lots more. So hard to trust anyone in the space  now, which is not suppose to be.  I don't think this can be eradicated, we just have to be more careful and lessen our greed as much as possible.  If scammers are getting reduced customers, I think their activities will subside.

I agree with you until some point, but scammers are not new. They existed before crypto-currencies and they will probably
exist as long as world lasts. They are simply people who learned to live that life, to not work and be honest, to earn money
fast and probably to spend that money even faster.
Like many people said before, only with education of individuals we can see less scammers. When people know things they
are careful and they don't get trapped easily.

You can try to imagine is this possible for a platform to create a regulation that can be implemented into the various platforms?. In this case, the self-regulation that created by any platform is much better to be implemented to prevent the scammer these days.

Scammers are the bad side of this world, and cause of that people don't rely on each other. I'm sad about your bad experience, but l prefer to stay with several telegram groups. That is why l think most of them are scammed and their goal is just to fall people into their fraud. We must be careful about that. It is indeed that scammers became the biggest crypto problem as well as hackers which those two are correlated because both are taking advantage of the weakness of people. But we can still have a chance to resist or lessen the probability of getting scam and that is through educating ourselves on ways on how we can be able to check the legitimacy of the site, mail or anything that can be a way to scam or hack ones people's account. By doing certain research and widening your comprehension to know if it is a scam, we can still be able to avoid or do not let ourselves fall to those kind of schemes. By the end, we still have the chances in our hands to save ourselves from getting scammed.

Scammers continue to represent this innovative technology differently and keep putting it back with ridicule thus, placing blockchain and indeed cryptocurrency in the public eye for the wrong reasons. They are the sole reason why there is so much policies and institutions trying to shutdown blockchain. They continually do the worst and this isn't helping. Just recently, another project (Kingcasino) has just made away with huge sums of money belonging to investors. This is one of the several reasons why the industry needs to be regulated and regulations put in place faster than ever.

It is quite true about what scammers are doing in the crypto space and it is really not encouraging but instead hampering the growth of the crypto space because in one way or the other, potential investors will be sceptical getting involved. Also, these scamming activities extends to hackers as well, as they always deal a deadly blow to users. So therefore, there is need to tackle these bad eggs so that both new and already existing investors won't necessarily question every move they make thus being afraid at every point in time but rather having an open mind to possiblities that lies ahead.

Yeah, it is massive problem that is also seen as a hurdle to crypto mass adoption. It is seen that if a project is successful people create fake names and even social media pages in that project name and victimize innocent people who get  there by mistake and ask for resolution of their problem they either lose their wallet data or scammers convince them to send them some coins for the solution to theor problem, there should be some system to stop and report these fakers instantly.

If we loook upon the history of cryptocurrency, the main opponent of its success is the scammers. There are many bounties running that are zero value. Many of them begins to attract the investors of fake listing, large bonuses and MVP but afterwards, it falls to a ponzi scheme.

In addition to that, Hackers are also the problem of cryptocurrency. Look what happened to the popular exchanges such mt. gox, etherdelta, and even cryptopia/binance did not escape to the hackers. That is why they should be eliminated but removing them seems to be impossible. It is just like separating sands from sugar.

The issue of Scammers in the cryptocurrency space is rather unfortunate. We cannot effectively pinpoint the menace which scammers have caused to the cryptocurrency industry. There's no doubt that scammers are in other financial industries, but it feels like cryptocurrency has the most terrible of them all. I believe it's basically because of the novelty of the industry and the fact that several people are yet to understand or get a full grasp of how the market works.

That is right what you said, people join here for earning quick money, they think that everything is so easy as they expected. But as you above mentioned many have lost everything here, l think it happens cause of lack of knowledge. Experience is more important than money in crypto space. Lack of knowledge can be the reason of losing money. We must take attention to knowledge and try learning something from other experiences.

Most of us here are after money, to gain without exerting an effort. They just invest their money because of the high return or quick result of their investment then ending up in scam. Usually the fall victim of these scammers are new to crypto world and believing the hearsay that its profitable to invest in crypto.

Experience is more important than money in crypto space.
Thats true, if we have experience we can learn and do better the next time. So there's no need to rush when investing, take time learning and gain experience to know more about investing.

Because scammers are very varied. If we compare it with what happens to crypto users who aren't published, I think it's much bigger than what Binance said.

As long as there's money involve, they will take the chance to deceive other people but many people are now aware of their tactics and are now taking extra care but there are some that still fall for that, most especially newbies with no knowledge about cryptos.

I don’t think scammers can cause me to stop making use of cryptocurrency, same as most of the people out there. I do know that this is a problem, but it is something that happens everywhere, and people should learn to avoid it. There are thieves everywhere, even outside and every other businesses you are going to find online. Cryptocurrency is a new thing and because they are getting on this new business doesn’t mean that it is the only place you can find scammers. The thing is that we should look for ways to be dealing with these scammers and solve the issues we are having about them.

Honestly the thing about scammers in bitcoin is the fact that they are hard to catch, not that they are hard to stop. There are scammers in fiat world as well, tons of people scam each other in the real world as well but doesn't get as much attention as bitcoin scammers.

There is even a thing called "wage scam" in the world now and is considered a scam where a company makes you work extra hours without pay, and other methods that company avoids paying you for it as a worker, and it is 1000x more than any other scam in the world, yet doesn't get enough attention. Bitcoin scammers are dime a dozen, they should be stopped somehow, but fiat has been around for centuries and people couldn't find a way to stop them, so I doubt we would be capable of stopping the crypto ones.

I think Binance only estimates the number of scammers associated with their project, the actual number of scammers in the crypto room will be greater than expected. Generally, scammers roam on scam projects and scammers who use top projects to drain investor funds.
Binance should be able to verify their data correctly before they receive offers from new projects. I think KYC for the team is not enough to verify the data. Because they are not just trading account users, but managing the project. Of course there was a meeting with the project developer.

I think the warnings given by the people in this forum are very sufficient to give an idea about assessing new projects. someone new of course does not want to commit suicide by losing their money in a junk project. those who are new will certainly seek the opinions of others.

Crypto isn't what anyone can just jump right into with out the proper knowledge or training, everything about crypto deals with high risks, whatever you come across in crypto space that you have no knowledge about it's better to do research on it first, there is strong possibility of getting scam in crypto space
If it wasn't for the right knowledge or training, why are you in crypto right now? ;D because basically wherever someone is, the risk will still be there, so only smart and experienced people are able to minimize the risk that he does not want in crypto, even though it will always be there.

Don't worry, everyone is sure to be careful of the actions taken by scammers, even though every scammer always makes very smooth and wise steps, they still won't be easy to get people who have experience to be their victims.

as long as possible we can survive in the world of crypto currencies, then we can overcome scammers,
by not following the ICO, not following IEO in bad exchanges, not opening fake sites, stay cautious

Scammers are everywhere in the crypto space. But in my opinion, scammers is the biggest problem in crypto because if you are not ignorant that you always take research before you invest your money you won't get scam, and if you are not greedy that you don't always looking an easy way to earn you won't get scammed. So I think the biggest crypto problem that we might face is hacking of our crypto wallets because it would be a much larger money that we will lose if we get hacked.

Scammers are everywhere and no one can stop them from stealing because as long as money is involve they wont stop scamming other peoples money not only in crypto but anywhere.
To increase attraction on new projects, teams are offering new systems. That's where scammers take the chance. In a hard situation of cryptocurrency, some legit projects are also becoming scam projects. Actually, no one can stop them but we can stop from stealing money. If together we could get some time to research before starting anything then everything would be possible.

I don't think all new projects will do that, maybe they just give new offers that can increase interest and in that way can make a lot of people who will give money to that place. the most important thing when it is like that is still to be vigilant.

Just like i used to include in my points that scammers is the main problem crypto is facing presently i come across this news on the internet today about how scammers keep on contrarily influence the digital currencies.

There is no two ways about this, it is just the truth and they keep dragging the crypto space behind. Also, i think those impersonating Binance exchange to scam are just too much and not only do they exist on LinkedIn but also on Twitter and Telegram. In the same way, other categories of scammers are those that creates crypto projects and then exit scam. So in general, scammers are the biggest problems in this space and the best way to stay safe from them is by not being greedy hence going after fake giveaways as well as making research about every project we want to invest in.

Scammers is the most annoying problem in cryptocurrency business. I think the people should make a solution for this that if they have caught who the scammers are, they should be punish by law accordingly so that scam would be minimize in the first place. Also all of the crypto market exchange should be strengthening their sites so that hackers won't be able to hack them easily.
Problem is those small projects that doing crypto platform are not monitored by the government. Usually they focus on huge ICOs that are registered but those who are not registering their project can usually scam users or traders. There is always risk since its decentralized. No projects ever submitted their legality especially if their purpose is just to scam the investors. Weve seen a lot of it in the past.

This is indeed a big problem even for all fields, but we cannot delete it. Fraudsters will always be in any angle whatever we do to improve security, there will definitely be people who are victims of fraud. Some articles that I read also fraud will always be there as long as the desire is there because the people who commit fraud are human beings and we are also human but there are those who have good intentions and some are bad.

one of the reasons for the fall of the ICO world last year was because of the many scammers who nested there. even today, IEO is still vulnerable to scammers. however, that is a difficult thing to deny at the moment. the best way to avoid it is to do research. many people are aware of it, it's just that they still don't do in-depth research on the project they're interested in.

This is no problem for many crypto users if they know that is fake and scam.
But, there is big problem if new investors try that and get scammed by fake giveaway or invest to scammer.

but as the crypto space is so huge and  high risk and volatility new investors don't tend to study properly and believe fast whatever looks attractive
so always be prepared and study thoroughly about each and every new coin, project & investment you make

If you talk about bounty campaigns, there are indeed a lot of scammers who try to make the participants of the bounty campaign look stupid, it's better if you want to participate in the bounty campaign then you can look for a bounty campaign that is willing to make payments using bitcoin or at least has provided the promised allocation to bounty manager so that there will not be a scam and does not make the participants disappointed.

New investors or people who have less knowledge and are at very initial stage hearing all such news leads to a very negative impression on their mind as then they start relating crypto is bad, all wrong doing are happening, people are being getting scammed easily etc. Also, quite a few governments also do not make it legal because of such things.

Scammers are everywhere as many will surely try their luck by earning an easy money by either scamming or hacking if they have some deep knowledge about blockchain and they want to use it in a bad way.

Scammers are already existing even if the crypto was not there yet so this problem is quite old already and there is a very less chance that it can be stop. It can be lessen but
those greedy people will not stop so we can really say that they are the biggest problem to crypto lovers and investors. What we can do is to avoid them at all cost.

The only way to combat these scammers is to educate ourselves and to know how they exploit and implement their methods , what I mean is we educate ourselves what tools they are using, and what tools we can use to track their activities if they are launching an ICO we can use a plagiarism check to check if they are plagiarism other projects, we can use image tracker to check if they are using fake profile in their team page.
Scammers are good at what they are doing so we have to also equip ourselves with tools on how to combat them

The only thing I have been noticing lately is scammers that are filling bounty spreadsheets with bot accounts, its extremely annoying to look at, but imagine how annoying it is for bounty managers who have to weed out all of those thousands entries one by one.

Rather than hackers, scammers are found much in the global cryptomarket. This is all because of the increasing demand for cryptocurrencies. Whenever something gets value, somehow people will try to make money out of it. This is how scammers are found high in the market. Scammers mostly target the newcomers, because they doesn't know about the market.

Many people have been victims of these hooligans, and they have been doing this for a long time. What we can do right now is to be vigilant and be wary that such individuals exist and that we need to be very careful where we invest our hard earned money.
