So what is money then?

Quote

Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange, a unit of account, a store of value and sometimes, a standard of deferred payment. Any item or verifiable record that fulfill these functions can be considered as money. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money)

Anything that can be utilized and accepted as a medium of exchange or used in buy and sell can be categorized as money and according to this definition we can conclude that Bitcoin is money, albeit it is not physical but digital. People should realize that we are now in the era of digitalization so much so that banks are not actually moving the physical fiat money too much as transactions are done electronically on the global basis.

People are not just used to using digital money but this trend is now accelerating so time is coming when many of us will not anymore be asking this same question. Cryptocurrency is the way to the future and nothing can ever stop it, there can be snags but those will be straightened out for good sooner.

I visited the site of the link you posted here and I think that is a good marketplace with a lot of products that one can buy using cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and the likes. I even found a Bitcoin ATM for sale for $3,299. Wow! Let's hope that more and more platforms like this will be sprouting all over the world and that they will have brisk volume of crypto-paid transactions.

As long as their are demands for bitcoin, it will remain as real money. The same with fiat, if fiat will overtaken by crypto currency in the future there is big possibility that it will be useless and cannot be considered as money. It will be bunch of papers, the same with nations that inflation's are pretty high their money is considered as worthless.

24% interest per year is pretty interesting compare to banks which is only below 5% per year. If it is the largest bitcoin company in Dominican, I am sure they can pull it out. I would be love to know also if there are more physical store that offer like this because as of now, it doesn't exist yet in our country.

So how many of those people, we should enlighten them, I am paying my bills from profit and rewards coming from bounty hunting, and there are a lot of websites that offer Bitcoin as payment like what Visa or Master card is offering, there are restaurants and establishment now accepting Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency, they need to be taught how to buy using Bitcoin or ask them to go online and check the many sites that accept Cryptocurrency, in the age of enlightenment, ignorant is a scourge.

That's what I thought as well, haha. What's the point of this thread? Advertising a store ???

Nevertheless, it does seem like a decent attempt for a company to enter the crypto-industry, there's quite a lot of items for sale and with very reasonable pricings, like a 3,000 dollar atm.

Money can be classified as anything, value is all in the eye of the beholder. I can classify my phone as a forum of money since it can be used to exchange goods/services with someone else.

Money is used to buy necessary things needed by us, money used to create transactions and determine the financial status of a person or an entity. Bitcoin is used to buy needs, bitcoin is use to create transactions and to eventually determine a person's financial state. That is why it is called cryptocurrency, an electronic money in substitute to fiat currency. Though, I'm not surprised that it is now utilized the way as how fiats is being used. Soon, we can see bitcoin transaction inside banks and financial organizations and even in taxes.

Great works for a catchy title but any are doing this now, they ask give explanation then on the bottom they will promote the site, program or project they are promoting, this is actually good it's not outright spamming with their advertisement at least they gave us a topic that we can discuss, people who wants to promote something should give us something to discuss at least.

Such a project could have come out with its coin to have a position on the market but chose bitcoin, which make it a reasonable start. In couple of months after building the market and gain customers confidence, they can introduce their stable coin to manage the volatility and speed of bitcoin, such introduction can be gradual and option can be giveto bitcoin maximilist that still want to be using the page.

If your definition of money is unlimited supply and can only be issued by a government then you can be label as an ignorant and should be educated, people asking if it is real money never encounter people who are using Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency to buy and pay their bills I have encountered so many people and believe me it's hard to argue with this people, even if you have a proof to show, they will soon find out they are the only people that don't believe in it.

So, you used clickbait title to attract views on your thread whose content has nothing to do with it... Nice marketing strategy I guess.
I visited your marketplace website and was impressed by the variety of stuff listed there. Are you selling all those directly or act as a middleman, similar to Amazon?

...
Nevertheless, it does seem like a decent attempt for a company to enter the crypto-industry, there's quite a lot of items for sale and with very reasonable pricings, like a 3,000 dollar atm.
...
But you have to buy a minimum of 10 Bitcoin ATM machines for the order to fulfill!

Bitcoin is money because it is accepted as a mean of exchange. It can also be exchanged with other fiat currencies as money from one country can be exchanged to another. Most merchants also accept Bitcoin as a mode of payment, the choice is yours.

Those people who say that it's not real money are those who are not participating in Cryptocurrency, they never had any type of Cryptocurrenvy, in short, they don't have any idea what bitcoin is, they only know fiat money and never experience buying anything online, but I doubt if they are really that many.

24%/year for investing in crypto ATMs?..
Oh wow. I had another look at it since I was only interested in how much the ATM's cost and that statistic is definitely a bit dodgy. Not sure if it's just false advertising or an outright scam, they have physical stores and are registered so it's weird to tell.

10 ATMs are not bad for a company or an investor to get into, 30,000 to set up 10 ATMS in your city is still pretty good pricing and it's a reasonable term for them to put on there.

This new lending service will be available soon on our website . 24% interest per year is still low but it safe . When we sell your bitcoin we take 8% fees from the buyer then you can have an idea.

I have never seen anyone state that 24% annual interest is low---this is the first time. Common sense would tell me that it is too good to be true, so if anyone is looking to invest in this.... don't be shocked if it backfires on you.

Even if you have the best intentions in the world, it just isn't viable long term speaking---you're way better off offering lower interest rates so that you can sustain this business model because people aren't feeling it this way.
