Title: No other currency

What if there is no other crypto currency or alt coin. How does it affect the price of the bitcoin. How high is the value of bitcoin in your opinion.?

See, in the hypothetical situation where there is no other cryptocurrency than Bitcoin.
We would have never reached the potential that we have today for the cryptocurrencies because it was not just the BTC but so many other alt-coins that made news and spread the word about it.
Moreover, the TPS of BTC is so low that it would never reach mass adoption because even here, the higher TPS alt-coins made it possible to use cryptocurrency for day-to-day purchases and transactions, thus reaching mass adoption.

So, the price wouldn't be high but very low.

Then it would be same as what fiat is today. People would decide on a price for different articles in the marketplace and buy then as per their needs. The only thing is that deflationary supply makes it rise in price and inflation would not happen. Prices of stuff would decrease in the long run instead of increasing, because the bitcoins are being rarer.

But it does not mean that if such an economy would exist then another currency would not come into view. Gold and precious metals would always exist and they have a bustling market as well. In the absence of fiat, what you hypothesize of, precious metals would become similar to money tenders.

I think bitcoin price or the demand for bitcoin would not reach as it is today. Bitcoin reached this point because there is competition, developers are pushed to develop projects further because of competition to gather more attention from investors, thus it create more demand.

I don't think the existence of other cryptocurrencies has a major impact on the Bitcoin price. After all the Bitcoin dominance is at around 70% of the total crypto marketcap. That indicates that altcoins only represent 30% of the market. However the "extinction" of altcoins would bring some funds to the BTC cap, but not so much that I'd call it a big influential factor.

I think if there ni other altcoin butcoin will goes up the price because they are focusing in one crypto that is bitcoin. All there attention goes to bitcoin so the price will go up because i think they will be buy more bitcoin and keep it.

Bitcoins price will surely not the same as today, it is sure that price will be higher because investors don't have any choice to pick if they want to invest in cryptocurrency because there is only one and its bitcoin. So surely the demand will overflow that will cause bitcoins price to rocket up in a stable and fast phase.

No altcoins would mean no ICO fever. That would mean no increase in prices, no new investors coming into the crypto space, no surge of BTC, and no coming out of the shadows. Bitcoin maybe wouldn't even be alive today if there were no altcoins.

I don't see any competition between altcoins and Bitcoin so if ever there's no other currency except for Bitcoin, I believe that it would still stay as it is today or the price could even get higher because most investors will focus only on investing in one digital currency. There will only be a competition between bitcoin traders. There will be a higher demand which could affect its price positively.

It is possible, all the demand will go to bitcoin where there is no other cryptocurrency to invest with. Its price will be unimaginable.
But it is also impossible for bitcoin to increase its price. Altcoins are created to use as an alternative of bitcoin and without having an alternative will be a different matter. Its demand won't increase this much because altcoins take a big part in bitcoin to increase its demand.

If there were no altcoins today then it is already self-explanatory. Bitcoin will already hit 100k dollars if there are no altcoins since all the funds that will be thrown on the altcoins will be focused and centered on bitcoin. I have no doubts about my claim since if you notice currently the bearish trend for bitcoin will also mean bearish flow for altcoins. This is a sign that people are really into bitcoins and without any altcoins bitcoin will be at 100k dollars or more.

Obviously, cryptocurrency will just put everything on bitcoin, but it's hard to say what will be the price though. Maybe we won't see much media attention to it so only few percentage of the whole population will get to know what bitcoin is.

So in a hindsight, we might be in the say position right now or even lower if bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency in it's existence.

This is an interesting point of view. We've into really talked about what effect Bitcoin has on other altcoins due to the dominance it shows over the market.

I would estimate it wouldn't have much of an effect - we don't see a lot of things from the altcoin world that actually affect the BTC price and we'd have more money in BTC (due to lack of options).

Even though bitcoin and altcoins are all cryptocurrency, i think that they have a different audience or different way that people treat them, what i mean is that people invest in bitcoin and they hold it  because they know that in the future the price of the bitcoin is going to be high, as for altcoin they invest in it in the intent that they will sell it or trade it as soon as they made certain amount of profit from it, and for that reason i think that even if bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency not much will happen aside from the fact that all those people who are investing and trading altcoin will migrate to bitcoin and that will boost the demand and also the price.

Competition brings out the best and worst in all of us and I think that can be said of Bitcoin as well...or rather with people who are working with Bitcoin. Had there been no other cryptocurrency but Bitcoin then we should expect that the demand for it will be so high as there is no official alternative it would just be like a big monopoly. Just like the fiat money, since a certain country would not entertain tow or more official currencies, the official one is where the development is taking place and will be used by all people at least within the said territory...had this happened to Bitcoin then it can easily rival that of the biggest fiat money the USA Dollar.

However, since we all love decentralization and deregulation, other competing cryptocurrencies and even tokens come into the market with many serving niches which may not be reached technically and technologically by Bitcoin. Hence, I would say that we have a diluted market. Right now, we are in a very saturated marketplace with so many coins and tokens vying for the interest, attention and money of the captured market. There is in fact the need for the expansion of this market so that growth can be visible at all fronts.

Competition gives room to development. Bitcoin wouldn't have been where it is today if their were no solid altcoins like etheruem, monero , litecoin etc that are constantly growing in technology. Altcoin have brought a very good competition to the crypto market and that is why bitcoin too keep growing. Next year, halving comes and growth continues. Variety is a spice to life. ;D

If altcoin dissapear. Maybe Bitcoin also going crash.
Because if we see, the price of Bitcoin before also supported by altcoin, for example Litecoin.
So if no altcoin, there is a chance investor not interested about cryptocurrency. Because if only rely on Bitcoin, the inovation is really hard to build. Bitcoin with big fees also can make slowdown the transaction because there is a bunch transaction from people and exchanges.

Competition in this kind of industry is not detrimental to the state of bitcoins but it is rather a healthy and advantageous condition. Competing with each other make it more challenging and gaining profit is more higher since there would be increase it money allotted on them and obviously not a one sided one.

How you are wondering for high price if there is no competitor? Bitcoin is valuable because it would be use for buy other currency, I mean trading. That's the most plus point for bitcoin and its consider as a mother coin. Now imagine, if a girl's no have children then who will call him mother. So Bitcoin would faced same situation. But yes most likely it would used like other fiat as said by other user as well.

Imagine if all of the Investors, merchants and people will only use bitcoin because it is their only choice, mass adaptation would have been successful a long time ago, but since Bitcoin attracts too much attention for other people to create their own coins, I guess that affects the Bitcoin's price and its spotlight as well.

I see it as not beneficial, basically, it is not just bitcoin that attracts huge market value or volume in the market. Mostly, advertisements from ICO's and altcoins contributed greatly to the development of cryptocurrency space and eventually helped to make bitcoin, the best cryptocurrency ever created. In summary, altcoins and bitcoins are helping each others to develop and attract investors that yields to cryptocurrency adoption around the world.

There are many values to consider here like if potential investors are choosing between bitcoin and altcoins and if those investors were unable to buy altcoins they would choose bitcoin. I don't believe this to be the case. Many altcoin investors chose them because they already had bitcoin and wanted something else. If they had no altcoins to choose they'd buy gold or something else like stocks.

I think other altcoins don't have such an impact on bitcoin prices. It's about demand and supply when more people want more bitcoin prices to go up. So other alts have no effect on bitcoin prices.

Title: Re: No other currency

The simple calculation would be to get the overall total marketcap of all coins combined, and since we take them all out, that would imply bitcoin is that marketcap.

At today's domination percentage of around 70%, that means add another 30%. That implies a price of about $12k USD instead of $8k. If the OP could make it so, the price would probably be a lot higher too, there are so many other factors involved, it may even be exponential.

Altcoins actually have a big impact on the price of Bitcoin. Thousands of coins provide great liquidity to Bitcoin, they are traded directly for Bitcoin. Therefore, Bitcoin needs all these coins at a high price.

Then bitcoin price would have been heavily traded and the price would maybe be something else by now, and the level of war against it by big banks would have been very massive. But practically wouldn't have been so good, because of the need for more complementing technology.

No other currency and no other Cryptocurrencies are two altogether separate issues to address on. No other Cryptocurrencies would mean the whole volume of other coins being pumped into BTC which would naturally make it much more valuable than what it is now. Moreover there would not be any types of ICO or projects and even number of exchanges too would be pretty less. On the other hand if there were no currencies altogether instead of bitcoin then maybe we would just end up with bitcoin due to a deflationary spiral and come back to fiat bitcoin.

Without altcoins or any other cryptocurrency out there, the bitcoin price will be more expensive than the current market value. altcoins reduce the bitcoin market value since they are bitcoin alternatives. If you look at some of the altcoins such as litecoin, bitcoin cash, monero, and others - they are just bitcoin prototypes with extra features.

Market competition makes prices go up and down as the market demand fluctuates also. If Bitcoin stand-alone, I don't see prices keep so high and higher but rather to stay at low or we may see no volatility around. If we think about USD or even our local currency, does it moves higher? Is not, and it is the same thing that might happen if we only have bitcoin alone.

Total market cap: $227,146,788,090

Let's compute it if there are no altcoins that will share the market cap as of this date.

Total circulating supply of bitcoin: 17,992,337BTC

$227,146,788,090 / 17,992,337BTC = $12,624

Source for total market cap and circulating supply of bitcoin --> https://coinmarketcap.com/

That implies a price of about $12k USD instead of $8k.
Yeah $12k, same as the calculation.

There won't be big impact felt if there is no altcoins, but the growth of bitcoin might have got limited. Another thing the services offered by bitcoin won't be big as now. All the growth with bitcoin is caused by altcoins, because without competence there won't be big growth. With the existence of altcoins there is competence and continued development to stay on the top. This is how bitcoin succeeds against altcoins.

We might see a higher value or may not.

It will depend on the situation and we wont see that anymore.
It is not about the competition but more on how people will take bitcoin into another level which may be used in every day life.
We are seeing merchants declining the usage of it because of its volatility.
So why it is volatile?
Because there is a another crypto to be paired with. Selling it back to another crypto or to fiat loses its value and then some will buy back.
What if it will just rotate in the internet. There is no selling point until a certain time? Those are the kind of questions before.

We will only see it's value when it have something to compare with, we can't compare it to fiat or in stocks since they are different market or platform. Bitcoin will only be like paypal or any other transactions method that send money, make an online payment, receive money. Without altcoins it can be tradable only converting in our fiat is it's use. Somehow will be like a plain fiat put in a digital transaction.

Expect the price of Bitcoin to become more expensive as your money for investments will not be divided and will be just for Bitcoin only making the demand of it to become high. In fact, there are lot of fortunate people before who become rich by now because they did not missed the opportunity to invest when the only crypto that exist was only Bitcoin.

It would be difficult for the only Bitcoin to make this cryptocurrency platform as we see here, I think product development is the main issue of making a new platform, so without other Altcoins, the development or evolution of Bitcoin would face a lot of challenges, market developers are the main keys of this mechanism, they are getting in the competition regarding the price and position, So bitcoin has got a lot of bases in terms of development. without existing Altcoins, Bitcoin price would be very low, the transaction of Bitcoin would be an also very low level because of Altcoin movement is the main element of Bitcoin transaction so far, In my opinion, they are both complementary tools.

One can hardly say for sure that if there were no altcoins, then bitcoin today would be of much greater value. It was their interaction in the cryptocurrency market that gave the current result. Would gold be of great value if there were no diamonds, silver and other valuable metals? Who can say for sure? Perhaps this situation is simply impossible. We will always have alternative solutions to our problems.
On the other hand, would the dollar be of great value if there were no other national money in the world? I would not say that. There would be a different approach to value setting.

Different approach indeed. There's always other side of opinions and to whatever extent it just simply for anyone's own views.
But like what you've said, comparing things to other venues of investment, value will depends from investors appreciations.
With defining the industry bitcoin went to this level with how the current market reacts.

I never imagine or never though if a cryptocurrency doesn't have altcoin, and I don't know how high the bitcoin value. When there is a chance to make more money, people will tend to create a new way so they can make more and more money. Maybe that is the reason why there is altcoin besides bitcoin. And with the altcoin, it does help us to make more bitcoin, which we can convert into fiat, and we should thank you to the altcoin. Bitcoin can change people's perception of cryptocurrency, but with altcoin, cryptocurrency can survive for a long time.

If altcoins were never made, I suspect that bitcoin would not grow so much either. Part of the altcoin trading is that altcoins are used to be exchanged from and to bitcoin, then to local currencies. If altcoins did not exist, demand for bitcoin and awareness of people is lesser than we had today. Who would want to buy something that cannot be seen and can only be traded to USD or your local currency? People would just trade in Forex instead. That's why altcoins still has part on where bitcoin today is.

in my opinion if there is no other cryptocurrency maybe bitcoin will not be able to develop as fast as it is now. because bitcoin has no competitors and developers will not update the system. so maybe bitcoin will stagnate. although the bitcoin market now controls the crypto market but in my opinion we still need altcoin to enliven the crypto market. and with altcoin makes investors more interested in investing because of the many choices.

You are right because of the altcoin hypes, people become more aware about Bitcoin and help the price grow due to the investors who bought Bitcoin first before investing it to other altcoin. Nevertheless, Bitcoin can still achieve what it has until now even without these altcoin but in a slower progress. Bitcoin already have a strong community even before the altcoin created but because of it's creation the community become more lively and Bitcoin supporters increased.

Keep an eye on the upcoming projects that aren't controlled by shady corporate entities.

Exactly not potential other altcoin except bitcoin could have reached to higher price, with thousand kinds altcoin still lower price under bitcoin. After bitcoin as currency I think not other altcoin can be competitor for bitcoin as currency payment, altcoin have weakness can't be stable coin because lower price, bitcoin could be better with higher price and get support for recovery back to higher price.

Competitions make the crypto market alive and the demand will also be increasing. As we can see that a lot of altcoins are in the deep lows or we may say dead cause they are out from the race. It is similar to what happened between fiat money and Bitcoin, people have options.
If we only have Bitcoin, I don't think that we even reach into $5k, not saying it will stay at $1 each but probably it won't go much higher.
I may say, we are too thankful for altcoins existence and this is a reason why Bitcoin becomes valuable.

In my opinion if there is no other digital currency besides bitcoin, there are 2 possibilities. Firstly because of the absence of altcoin or cryptocurrency other than bitcoin, the market demand in bitcoin will be even greater and prices will go up, this is if the user still believes in bitcoin. The second is because there is no concept development on the blockchain for bitcoin, users may not be interested anymore because I think there will be many problems that arise in the market, which will have a negative impact, so bitcoin is abandoned. We need altcoin to develop the technology available on the blockchain, because there are still some weaknesses in technology and can still be developed as well.

Bitcoin is a major coin in crypto world. All-time Bitcoin price is very high in the market. I think there is no other crypto currency and altcoin price effect on bitcoin. Bitcoin price is high it is no reason for other crypto prices. Bitcoin prices rise due to the increase in demand. Again, the price of bitcoin decreases as its demand decreases. At this time bitcoin using many sectors. In other sectors, the use of bitcoin more or less. Due to its impact on bitcoin prices.

I couldn't think the situation of no other cryptocurrency that btc is only existing. Possibly people would focus on btc but less popularity because some alts makes the btc in demand. Less competitions could transpire in the crypto market, no Ico project and others could occur.

Like no ICO, IEO, Blockchain Event, smart-contract from other crypto innovations, etc.

How can you say so? If altcoins will be eliminated out of the market, bitcoin will be remaining still, and bitcoin is still a cryptocurrency, wherein, one of the characteristics of a good crpyo is its market volatility depending on the demand on it. If altcoins will going to perform in the market, bitcoins market volume will spike so hard as people will have no option to convert their currencies into. But, a world without altcoin isn't seems so possible.

it will just be a stable coin just other ecurrency. Bitcoin will not reach its potential and the price will just be varying without any huge differences. Also, I doubt if alot of people will know about bitcoin the way it was today and there will be no many trading platforms as we have it today. I strongly believe it will just be another currency created just like perfect money, STP etc. and probably little will be known about satoshi nakamoto whom has become a wanted person today globally  ;D

Yep yep!  because altcoins will help to have a trading pair from bitcoin. But in my own conclusion, I think the bitcoin price might double or triple it's valued since there is no trouble on it and there will be a lacking of supply due to high demand so the price will always increase and that's a good thing to those people who invest a lot on it. They might earn huge profits.

This is what competition meant for. We can't see huge market improvement if there is no competition happen around. To the event that Bitcoin moves because higher it is just because it has this thing and potentially competitive coin. Bitcoin's market demand keeps increasing day by day and that is how it looks like. If we only have Bitcoin, we might not be able to see that it will reach what it has today.

Well, that might not really have any significant effects on Bitcoin's market price since the market price of Bitcoin is determined by the demand and supply rate. The only significant thing that might have introduced in the financial ecosystem will be the level of scam activities done via the launch of new crypto projects and their coin. A lot of existing tokens or coins are just scam crypto coins which were introduced just to scam investors off their money.

Normally, we could say that if there was no cryptocurrency and bitcoin had become popular without the altcoins, it is very much possible that we may have reached its full potential by now, and the reason why I said so is this, I understand that the total market cap right now according to coinmarketcap is 252 billion dollars of which about 44 percent of it is just for altcoin market, which we could say that if bitcoin was to have 100 percent of it, the value may not have reached $20k yet.

The reason why I said that the value would have reached over $20k and even probably reached its limit is that many ico project actually sent a lot of people that were scammed packing from the market, so it is obvious that if these altcoin had not scammed people, the marketcap of bitcoin may have been growing to 1 trillion dollars without the altcoins.

I posted this to learn from others suggestions and insights. I think your right that reason for the bitcoin price becaming low is because of the scammers. But for the altcoin I think we need the altcoins for the industry to grow. Because I think if there is no altcoins. Some other investors would not invest in cryptocurrency in bitcoin alone. Altcoins are good but if it is not a scam.

In any case, it is very good that there are so many types of cryptocurrency. Thanks to competition, it is developing and improving very quickly now. If there were no altcoins, the cryptocurrency market would be boring and hardly as popular as it is now. As for the price of bitcoin, if it remained the only cryptocurrency, then it is difficult to say anything. Most likely, in 2017 we would not see its price of about $ 20,000, the market capitalization would be much lower.
In any case, we have a lot of types of cryptocurrency and now there will always be a lot of them.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Does your point stating that an altcoin's a result of bitcoin price effect?

Since it is all about the demand and supply, the limited quantity of bitcoin makes the price movements. It's not because of those altcoins. So, in short. Altcoins are just decorations and does not have nothing to do with bitcoin's actions.

But let me clear this things out. Altcoins are created to sustain or to support what bitcoin is lacking. Like ethereum. Since fees are higher with slow transactions witb bitcoin, altcoins such as eth and others are available to choose from. That's why selected altcoins are still useful in crypto.

without a pairing coin and without a competitor in my opinion the bitcoin price will be as normal as the beginning of the market initialization. and without ico project promoting campaign. cryptocurrency/bitcoin it would not be as popular today
It may not be as popular in terms of profit generating because the input of the altcoins or ICO market was to make the investment part of bitcoin and other cryptocurrency popular, but when we are to look at the main technology concept of bitcoin, altcoin didn’t do much to assist because bitcoin has been doing very well in terms of technology even before the arrival of altcoins, what ICO market only did was to make it possible for people to be able to generate quick profit from it.

Hence, if there was no other currencies in the market, I believe that it would not have change what bitcoin is and would not have affected the popularity of bitcoin, because the main reason why people are so much in love with bitcoin is because it is a decentralized coin that protects people’s information.

Without altcoins, the bitcoin price will be higher than the current price because some people are buying altcoins instead of bitcoin. Some people believe altcoins have a potential in the future so they are buying and HODLing altcoins instead of bitcoin. If to say they are all buying bitcoin instead of altcoins that would help the bitcoin price get to another level.

Let's admit it, altcoins did have an impact to Bitcoin. With the rise of altcoins, the existence of Bitcoin become more and more popularize because of how altcoins were advertised. Let's just take bounty campaigns as an example. With the rise of altcoins and a bunch of projects, people are incentivize to promote their project, which in turn make people aware of cryptocurrency and what is the first thing that people need to learn in cryptocurrency? That's right, Bitcoin.

Remember, people need to buy Bitcoin first before they could invest into altcoins.

Yes, Bitcoin can stand on its own whether there is altcoins or not, there are thousands of altcoins out there but still Bitcoin is the number one and cannot replace, unless there is something bigger than Bitcoin that will developed, but so far Btc has been a well known and little by little adopting by users and government, so it will not replace to top as of the moment.

if there are no other currencies we will not be able to diversify. diversifying investments I think is beneficial because we can count on several coins not just one coin. if for example the value of coin A goes down we can still expect on coin B to experience an increase. and if there is no altcoin the crypto market will not develop as fast as it is now.

The only thing to admit is that altcoins are copycats from forks of bitcoin or tokens made on ethereum blockchain or another new mining algorithm.

No. They were all in promoting their own altcoin, not bitcoin. You just thought of it in the wring manner. But dont worry, many others also did. Their point was to use bitcoin as a source of interest to gain interest in altcoin.

No. Majority of bounty spammers are bottomfeeding 3rd world country people who are desperate to get some money earned to feed themselves. They rarely care about the project its legitimacy. The proof of this is the number of scam projects we see and the promo squad behind them, who they cry why they didnt get paid.

You have a point diversifying our funds is one of the best strategy in investment but in my opinion you don't need to diversify your investment if it placed on Bitcoin because it is guaranteed that you will get a return.
Bitcoin can stand alone even if don't have any altcoins surrounds it because Bitcoin is independent however, the market will not be the same as it now if altcoins doesn't exist.

Wrong. Altcoins are created by people who want to make money by making their own shitcoin and attempt to get investors into their scheme. All their goal is to sell of their share of the shitcoin when the pump happens and thus exit the market and abandon the project. Again bitcoin is not controlled by any such group so its more safer.

If there is no other digital currency and only Bitcoin, then imagine the price of it nowadays, imagine the demand it gives, the value and wealth it gives to the people who has a lot of it and invested at a very cheap price.

So, lets be thankful that at least nowadays, we do have a lot of digital currency as an alternative to Bitcoin as we want to hold more of our Bitcoin and we don't want to spend it yet .

So, lets be thankful that at least nowadays, we do have a lot of digital currency as an alternative to Bitcoin as we want to hold more of our Bitcoin and we don't want to spend it yet .

Bitcoin would have gained more value if it was the lone crypto in the market as whoever wanted to use anonymous transaction or payment across the borders without much hassle and without involvement of third parties like the money exchange would had no options left apart form using bitcoin but now they have numerous option which will reduce the demand of bitcoin in terms of payment transactions as there are beter options available in terms of altcoins for lightening speed transfers.

What if there is no other crypto currency or alt coin. How does it affect the price of the bitcoin. How high is the value of bitcoin in your opinion.?
it's actually makes sense but unrealistic but the price of bitcoin would expand if bitcoin becomes the only coin in cryptocurrency because we would have few options than to join bitcoin the amount of cryptocurrency investors are large but are being distributed across other coins

It is difficult to know, the code of bitcoin is open source so eventually altcoins would have been created, but if for some reason that did not happen then all the money currently invested in the whole market will be in bitcoin, it is also likely that the developers will be pressured to add more functions to bitcoin than what we have now but it is doubtful if the developers could make the best possible job when facing such pressure.

Despite the despise that some members of the forum have for altcoins the truth is that we need them, bitcoin cannot do everything and it is OK to have other coins specializing in certain aspects like privacy to allow bitcoin to perform its main function which is to be a currency.

Bitcoin would surely have a higher price than today because investors will just focus investing on a single currency. But even if there will be other currencies in the crypto market, bitcoin is not really much affected because it's still dominating the market today despite of the numerous altcoins competing in it. Bitcoin will still be the leading currency.

In my opinion, if the digital currency was only bitcoin, I think the price would have skyrocketed, and the purchase rate would be more than sales, it could cause prices to continue to go up like that, and the reality today is not like that.

I see it in the aspect of connected market volatility. Without altcoin, bitcoin will not have a large growth in periodic estimates, without altcoin also it will not make economic instruments on the exchange have a solid rhythm. bitcoin will have a fixed level of stagnation and will lose value in the long run if it stands alone without supporters.

We must analyze them in two ways: the first is to consider that the other projects would never have existed and in that case, BTC in my opinion would have a much higher price, because people would be focused on a single project.

The second point of view is that the other cryptocurrencies begin to disappear progressively, in my opinion that would not be healthy for the ecosystem, because millions of users would be dissatisfied and with a negative opinion towards cryptocurrencies in general, a good level of diversity and competition is always positive in any market.

Many investors are shifting from each coins, if there's only one crypto currency in form of Bitcoin and the demands is huge like now,the value would be higher than the last ATH come to think of many possibilities, bitcoin value rises so high even there's a lots of crypto currencies that being introduced. Investors are the one who will bring the value to go high. Though we can't no longer change the situation it's better to enjoy what we are seeing now.

If we still introduce bitcoin then the price I think will become higher but the trading won't work like a huge gap of prices. You can only invest on bitcoin and you can also trade but in coin like dollar, peso, etc. If that happen, the ICO will be good for Bitcoin always and some of project were only include bitcoin so we might focus by bitcoin that you can see on it's unstoppable increasing and it would not be good.

It surely the popularity won't be like this. Not actually Bitcoin will show a bullish trend that could even catch a huge market change and give the name of crypto. At first, and I also think that satoshi never expects that Bitcoin will create such attractive looks were almost everyone gets into it.
I don't think it was a blessing in disguise of having a number's of crypto existed to help the competition going strong and witness the exponential increase of Bitcoin price which is far enough from the day it was started.

I guess if that was the thing the bitcoin will have a high price in the market considering the number of investors if all of the alternative token investor was also going to invest in bitcoin for sure the bitcoin market price surely will increase. Also, the standard price of bitcoin will be higher probable the price will go up and down in 40000$ - 50000$ in my opinion. The more investor the bitcoin will get the more the market price of bitcoin will rise in the coming years the demand for bitcoin will rise for sure at any point.

yes I agree with you if there is no other altcoin then the price of bitcoin will be more expensive. because everyone is only focused on bitcoin and this will result in increased demand for bitcoin. and the price of bitcoin is greatly influenced by demand and supply. if demand increases and supply is fixed then of course the price of bitcoin will rise. but maybe if there was no altcoin the crypto market would not develop rapidly like this.

If cryptocurrency only there is a bitcoin will be different from the current conditions. Because the absence of altcoins makes all investors
buying bitcoin, means bitcoin demand will increase. Automatically the price of bitcoin is getting more expensive, this will be boring for traders.
Because there is no other choice of coins for trading. In my opinion, if it continues without the presence of altcoin, it will be out of control
the price of bitcoin, I feel like conditions are not healthy. More like today the world of cryptocurrency is more colorful and varied.

Altcoins was created because bitcoin wad successful. Bitcoin will still be bitcoin but not won't reach the popularity of bitcoin today. But since there is only one cryptocurrency, it will be hard to have own btc since everyone can only hold bitcoin so bitcoin might have higher value compared today. But without altcoins, it won't be that interesting. No competition (although they still can't compete with bitcoin). Maybe bitcoin will be more stable if there's no other currency

Even if I would like to have an ecosystem full of promising coins that is not what we see, there is a huge number of coins in the market, how many of those are any good? Most of those that like bitcoin have a dislike for altcoins simply because they have abused the good name of bitcoin just of their own purposes which most of the time is just to earn money and do nothing to help the market to actually develop.

And until that changes then we will continue to see a negative attitude towards altcoins in general, besides if half of the coins in the market suddenly disappeared I am not so sure anyone except those invested in those coins will get mad since we do not really need them and it will make no difference if they disappeared.

There are lots of altcoins who really have deserving high place like bitcoin just like ethereum, as we all know, ethereum has a solid platform that is why it is become so famous until now, having a smart contract in which you can do your own transaction in a private without hiring any lawyers, it is fast and secure transaction. There are other altcoins that has solid platform and some of them are blockchain-based, meaning they are using technology to innovate their system to make the investors really satisfied and not only them but also to satisfy the user of that particular platform or technology.

Talking about blockchain and crypto is only talk with bitcoin only, other altcoin is not have to discuss because many investor always focus for investing bitcoin only, they will try to get much profit with bitcoin and many country only adopt bitcoin as currency only for the future. they give access for bitcoin become legal currency payment transaction.
How can you be so sure that a lot of investors focused on investing bitcoin only and not the other altcoins? As far as I know, most investors are not just investing in bitcoin but also to the other altcoins that ranks from the top 10-50 coins. If i were you i would not focus my investment in a single cryptocurrency so that when shit happens you can easily diversify most of your altcoins to recover most of your losses.

In trading they have this saying to not put all the eggs in one basket. It is quiet risky to do trading in cryptocurrency due to the volatility of the market hence it would minimize the risk if you spread your assets in different cryptocurrencies which you think would rise base on the news and technical analysis which are commonly in the top fifty in the coinmarketcap as aforementioned. They key is allocating your funds well in which you would put a huge percentage of your asset to coins that you believe more base on rational thinking of course according to the data that you had gathered.
