I just want to know, about market issues.
1. Reasons that make you survive or still believe in this market?
2. Is this what is called a market cycle, I mean back to the time before bitcoin reached the highest price in 2017? or maybe like 2014, 2015 or 2016? because I'm not there yet.
3. Why has the recent rise in bitcoin prices not affected the market situation for the better or had an impact on the rise in altcoin prices?
4. In your opinion how to overcome the market situation so that it can be stable again?

Because I believe that the market will be better again after a year or two.
Yes, after the halving there's an interesting chance that bitcoin might go up just as the past tells.
There is this Bitcoin dominance and from that, most of the alts were just following bitcoin. There are times that they come along with bitcoin's price rise but most of the time they don't. We will know once we'll able to see again all time high's and see if altcoins will do the same.
Invest in coins you know and focus on being a long term investor.

Now we can’t change the situation on the market. all we have to do is wait for the government to begin some kind of positive action towards this market

Well replied. I am in it because of the prospects of the Blockchain technology and the digital assets built on it. Having followed the evolution of money from trade by barter to cowries, gold and paper cash, it has always been dependent on what people place value on and the fact that we are now in the era of high def tech make blockchain more and more appealing for me

The reasons that make us stay in this market are the fundamental foundations of cryptocurrencies. we stay here because we understand that cryptocurrencies will occupy a dominant place in the world in 5-10 years

The idea that blockchains and cryptocurrencies are way more useful and efficient to do and use than all existing methods we have now, I doubt if it will not be noticed by smart people. And as technology evolves this market that is too volatile will gain more demand. Just think of it as i we are the early users or investor that will be benefited once it survives all this obstacles going to huge market adoption.

wait a couple more years and there will be a new boom in the cryptocurrency market. this halving of bitcoin which is expected in may will raise the market during the year to good positions. the previous halving was in 2016, as a result, 2017 is a productive year.

if we comparing now and 2017,
i think its not fair mate, because in 2017 the hype on ICO is very huge so most of all ICO project was success in that time
but now, a lot of ICO, STO even IEO project failed right ? thats mean the demands is decreasing
i believe next year a lot of coin reach the past high price again mate,,

Yes halving bitcoin will greatly affect the price of bitcoin. Halving bitcoin will take place in 2020, to be exact on May 14, 2020.
Halving bitcoin will be a moment that will be waited by investors to get more profit.

It is called a market cycle, there are 3 trends that are occurring in a markrt cycle and it is the bearish, bullish and sideways. Right now we expericing bearish market. You should not expect that it will turn to bull or sideways
in a short time because it takes a long time before the reversal.

That's totally on point. We're now going digitally upgraded and most of the currencies will be on that phase. There's no way for the gov't to deny this kind of innovation at least the digital part has been on the circulation now. But they are still not recognizing the power of this market but as we can see, they are starting to see the true potential of it. You can hear negativities from them but just like those well-known investors, they tend to give negative sight so that they can accumulate quietly.

This present market suffering is normal, there will surely be a payback for the 2017 all time high and this market decline can stay longer than the bullrun period of 2017 to 2018, don't expect good seasons all the time if you do thats not reality

About altcoin not following bitcoin in the recent bullrun is because of bitcoin dominance, the one way for things to turn around is if bitcoin threads higher than past ATH and it will be hard for altcoins to resist, i am positive that they will surge as well

1. I am still sure that the market still has a chance to get back up, now we enjoy bitterness before feeling good results the next day.
2. maybe yes, I haven't been on this forum long. but based on my observation that if the price of a coin drops at the lowest price, of course it still has a chance to go up to the highest price again like bitcoin.

First, I see no reason why I should not be believing in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. The potential of this whole beast has been explained to me a lot of times in my own humble research and I meet someone who expound more and convinced me some more to always be on the HODL position, are you? There is always a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, right?



In Bitcoin and with the whole cryptocurrency market, there is a time when things are up and when things are down. Now, when things are down, the next cycle will, of course, be going up. When we reached the bottom, there is no way but up unless you are entangled in a fishing net below and in that case you call a friend for help. Just kidding, okay?



Because there are times when they have a divorce meaning movement in Bitcoin has no correlation with the many altcoins. Yes, this market works in cycle because every 4 years we have a bitcoin halvening. Bitcoin's last halving is 2016, then we reach ATH in 2017 in approximately 1000 days after it's lowest low of $600. So $600->$20k in 1000 days, not bad isn't it? And we all know that alt is tied to bitcoin, so when bitcoin goes on a bull run, majority of the alts will follow specially the top 50.


It's because there's no bull run yet, what we have witnessed in a just a recovery from $3k-$13k then down to $8k, that is not a bull run.


Let's wait for bitcoin's block halvening in 2020. But you have to remember that the price won't shoot up overnight, as I have said it took us 1000 days to get to a new all time high. So now the gauge is $3k->$??,???. It might take 2000 days or more, or not. So we will see.

i believe in altcoin market but not the way you think!
the reality for me is a purely manipulated and 100% pump and dump market that has no cycles or any other form of logic behind it. there are pumpers who pick up coins at random and pump them. then they are followed by the dump. that is all!

No individual has full control over the market. So sometimes the general change we see in the crypto market might be as a result of the collective effort of many experts and the cry[pto community in general. Manipulation by a group of people can also affect it. just as some are trying to raise it up, there are those who are pulling it down. So different forces working against it.

I think there have been many arguments from some of the forum users above is the answer to each of your questions above, I just added a little and do not be offended.
most beginners have made a lot of mistakes that make themselves feel fooled, both in terms of investment or panicell. in fact the current market situation is normal. Price fluctuations are common in the crypto industry so what you have to do now is always renewing your portfolio if it is a necessity, do not panicell and there is no right way to return the market to a stable position other than be patient & wait for the market to recover.

1. I believe in crypto market and I know how it flows as it is like up and downs then I keep on investing, this is how I survive.
2. Yes this is definitely a market cycle but we don't know yet if what is coming either the same with the peak price of 2017 or more.
3. Because the demand is not yet enough to pull the market upward and the demand are more on bitcoin therefore altcoin prices are being dominated.
4. This is very difficult to answer because in my opinion, I don't like a stable market also as I cannot earn a good amount of profit from it. I like a more risky investment that will give you x10 or more of your investment if in case you will be lucky.

1. I believe in this technology thats why I stayed, even the market is making me quit.
2. I don't have no enough knowledge about the market, but I believe there's a lot space for growth.
3. Altcoin markets are seasonal sometimes don't correlate with BTC.
4. Don't follow the crowd, make your own decision and analyze the market it will make you a better investor. 

1. I believe in Blokchain technology, this is an amazing innovation and what results from this technology is like a field full of money.
2. in my opinion this is a market cycle, that the price of crypto is not always fixed. they are very volatile so don't hesitate to believe that the market can recover.

I think the market should get SEC's approval of Bitcoin ETF Fund. manipulative organizations will gradually flee and the market will operate most naturally. No more fluctuations from 20% - 30% in just a few days. I think that's a way to keep the market alive and survive.

The trend is not the same as it were. Things have hnage and are changing. what is happening now is that you would need to do a careful study of the market, that is, careful analysis and know what is trending. The experience of previous years might count, but not in all cases. If ypou depend on that alone, you might find yourself missing it and perhaps losing your fund. if etf approved, we will see another problems.that's right that market manipulation will decrease alot but i am sure bitcoin and altcoin price will easily played by whales that previously as stock investors and trader.each news will have their own effect ,bad or positive news.on positive side market capitalization will growth massively.there are much fresh money come again, so we have no problem about liquidity again.

he didnt say trend but he says that its a cycle . i agree with the op that is only a cycle because the price of cryptos can go up and can go down  . right now the prices were down but that happens recently  . most months of this year is still in a bull mode  .  you said depening on past expereince make us lost ?  past year was a bear cycle but after the 2019 began , the price had recovered   .  depending on past experience makes us more aware that its only a tests  , it does not make you lost/missing

yes but back to the same problem that there are still pros and cons related to ETF, to be honest I am also tired of waiting for this agreement from 2018 to 2019 many ETF delays. and I also agree if positive news is one alternative to grow the market situation to be good and it will have an impact on the adoption of the crypto market.

Yes, I still believe in the market.
The market will rise again in the future, although we don't have any sign right now.
But the existing coin has shown good progress to break the high price.
I don't think that was called a market cycle, but for me, it's like a reset for all coins.
A strong coin can survive in the bloody market and start to rise again while the weak coin will disappear soon.
But I don't if the next bull market will be the same as in 2017 because I think that will be different than in 2017.
The recent rise in bitcoin price gives an effected to the market, and while bitcoin price now has decreased again, it attracts the altcoin to moves to a higher rate.
We could only wait while we can trade with so many potential coins, and that is not only for trade with bitcoin.

many speculations about the bitcoin cycle say bitcoin is just waiting for momentum to come back soar, and i still believe it will. because of that belief I will continue to wait until comes  and I'm sure if when it arrives people will return and make the market crowded again, the current market is not stable enough to invest in bitcoin or alt, but don't make you lose hope.

I still believe in crypto currencies for several reasons. First of all, in case of mass adoption, we are still moving forward, because several countries are already accepting crypto currencies. Secondly, blockchain is here to stay and there would be enough projects in the future that would succeed.

       because I know that there is a phase of ups and downs of bitcoin, maybe now we are facing a phase of ups and downs having to be patient so that I still survive in this phase.

We are all being tested and it is important that you always renew your investment.

I think that price stabilization in the cryptocurrency market will begin only when the market will be regulated and people will have more confidence.

I'm staying in crypto because I have faith in it. I believe that the market could still recover in the future just like it did last 2017 so there's nothing to doubt about. Every time prices continue to fluctuate, the market will not be stable if buyers and sellers continue to want different prices. Market fluctuations in my opinion cannot be separated from trade. Fluctuations in the crypto market are reasonable, this cannot be seen negatively in my opinion.

Bitcoin has survived for 10 years and in the previous time bitcoin has given a lot of great things in the community, I think in the future maybe the use of bitcoin can start developing in many countries and if more countries give official permission about crypto I think the development and price can be better . at the moment it's only a matter of time and I'm still confident that crypto will be of use to many people

well,about it , i have no idea, basically expert analysis read based on market history, such as charts etc. but I don't think altcoins can be formulated that easily,an incident can certainly damage their analysis, such as the hashtrate of btc which suddenly dropped,like a few weeks ago.
my mind says , because dominance of btc, people have no interest on altcoin anymore.

Surviving market means holding if you came from a tragic loss. Of course everyone who have loss a lot in their investment will simply hold their asset unless they want to be fully bankrupt. Actually, now the price of bitcoin has improved even though it is not equivalent to the price in 2017 but this has not had a good impact for altcoin because the price does not go up, the weak value of altcoin for now is due to the number of ICO projects that scamer so that it is bad for other altcoins that already has potential like etherium.

Market will survive and if you believe on that, you will not have to worry on what is currently happening, it could be a cycle or not but the thing is, even in the past we've seen this market struggles a lot especially when times where bitcoin was the only popular coin in the market, in fact some people said bitcoin is dead but bitcoin always prove them wrong, so that means we have to believe the potential of bitcoin in the future.

yes, I also don't know what's happening in this market, especially altcoin. for me bitcoin can still be categorized as stable with a fixed price. but in contrast to altcoin, almost 20-30% altcoin has lost its value again. including ethereum you mean. let's see what the next market story is, because I also can't guarantee that this will continue or not.

I survive because I have a life outside crypto and I don’t treat this as my bread and butter things that favors me so I don’t need to panic everytime the price of market goes down.but I celebrate when it grows

Bitcoin is really unpredictable, we really cant understand nor predict the next thing to happen. As for now both bitcoin and altcoin are affected but this should not be considered as a downfall, every bear market there is a bullish market to come. No one can tell when, but it is guaranteed to happen, bitcoin wont disappoint us and all investors, thats for sure.

But it is not that simple to understand the market. We all know that. We are aware how the expert traders are even losing. We have seen the technical analysis of some people who are considered best in what they are doing, and how these did not go right according to the actual directions of the charts. The crypto market is unpredictable. It is better to HODL when things really go most uncertain.

1. because my job is trading. so that I remain in the market right now, even though the price is not good.

The reason that makes me stay despite of the negative market situation is lack of choice. If I would let go of my investments, I'd earn nothing but loss. With regards to cycle, the problem is lack of assurance that same thing would happen or the opposite, or worse. The market value seems no longer connected with each other maybe because of volatility. To overcome is to be patient, that's it. Those who would let go early would lose and those who would hang on to market situation will have the chance to win.

Yep, whenever it reaches another ATH it could dump. And then, we're going to wait again.

Don't worry, but when bitcoin tries to reach another ATH, altcoins be sure to come and follow bitcoin.

Probably another adoption in bitcoin that is massive. 

1. Because market conditions change constantly nothing is stable even the stock market has increased / decreased.
2. Yes I think this is the cycle because most people who join in 2017 end up losing money because they buy at the highest price, so they say crypto is bad.
3. I don't see the price of a significant increase in btc, it's only a momentary increase and also the btc's dominance is very high now which makes alt very difficult to rise.

I think bitcoin dominance is a temporary problem. if we look at the graph of bitcoin dominance, we will see that a decline should begin very soon. maybe it will be at the end of the year

I have researched well about crypto and I found huge potential. Bitcoin price was nothing than a penny but it went to almost 20K USD, and right now its more than 8K USD, but if you start researching about Bitcoin, you will realize that Bitcoin has a big chance to hit 50K USD. I have been here for a long time already and I will never leave this place, whatever happens!
To make stable the crypto market, it needs more adoption in real life, so, more people will start using this platform. The crypto market is not in the best position, but we are not bad too. Spend time on this forum, be a good reader, you will learn many things and those things will make you a true supporter of crypto!

The reason I'm still here because I believe in the cryptocurrency market. Certainly in the future, blockchain technology will have many applications applied in life.

Markets main problem is that most people in the world don't understand the concept of cryptocurrency and others fear about this non regulated markets.

It's not a problem because altcoin can keep its position.
The fundamental of bitcoin is good enough and i can say that if we should not worry about that but what we must worry about the bad news about some projects like libra or even telegram which can give a huge impact to the crypto market.
You can see how so many people are selling for the bad news.

The recent increases in Bitcoin prices haven't had much of an impact on bringing alt-season about because lots of projects simply don't offer much of a value proposition and are purely designed for speculation purposes only and these don't fair well when the market isn't booming

There was no increase, the price just bounce back, we were trading at $10K, drop to $9K, $8k, then dropped more to $6.5k and now we are just back up bit, this is not something to appreciate IMO as the market is still struggling. maybe if BTC will start to have a rally and will get back up to $10,000 again, that would help to gain back the confidence of the people, at the current price now, we are still now sure if it will rise or will dump again.

The condition of the crypto market is unstable. I think it's normal and it has become a customary cycle in crypto, I think there might not be a proper way to determine how prices can be stable. it depends on market movements that determine whether prices can be stable or not

The reason why I still survive in the cryptocurrency market and still hold my coins is because cryptocurrency is about technology and everyone will still adapt to technology. With cryptocurrency technology, people will be easy to trade and cheaper, this will improve their economy. I think gradually, people will accept and adopt cryptocurrency in every transaction they make

Instead of listening to others voice, it's very good to follow their channels because there are many people spreading the news in order to manipulate the market. So it is good to follow their social media channels in order to get updated news about the companies.

I like your first answer. It is indeed we don't have that much of a choice to begin with. We could only hope that market condition will be better each passing days. It might be our wishful thinking for believing that the prices whether it's altcoins or bitcoin will bounce back up again, at least until everything to have a quite of stable prices. now it's not just news that affects market movements. I think eroded investor confidence has influenced the decline in prices to date. and the first step to return the price I think is by improving investor confidence in the crypto world, so investors return and increase demand for coins

What makes me stay here because from here I can get extra income or it can be said as a part time job to fill my free time when I have nothing to do. And by investing or trading in cryptocurrency I can get additional income, although for now the cryptocurrency market is arguably in a bad condition.

I believe that cryptos will make me rich someday and yeah i do seek some new opportunities in cryptos market so i can buy a low tokens and sell it high just like i do in 2017. Most of people are waiting "new cycle" like you said, everyone is just hoping that 2018 hype will come back and in that time they will be ready for that, because not actually a lot of people was in the market in end of 2017, most of them came right after pump in 2018, some people came and bought BTC for 20k.

I don't know if you think of the future or your thoughts are only circles on just now. I look at the future and see a lot in this current market. I don't know what you expecting, a sudden boom and you are rich? No mate it will not work like that just give it time, try to stay strong 

many people have started to be disappointed with current market conditions and the price of coins on the market has fallen almost worthless, the Altcoin season is the season that everyone has been waiting for and I also believe that the season Altcoin will definitely come in the near or in long term. yes waiting and being patient is the key to success in the crypto world, hopefully new history for Altcoin will begin in next year.

Cycle of market uptrend and downtrend is inevitable since crypto by nature is highly volatile. Talking about your opinion stating "crypto has a good future for the world economy", do you really think mainstream businesses and organizations will easily adopt Bitcoin in future or will they prefer stable coins looking at volatility?. I am still trading on the crypto market and am still able to earn even though the price of the Bitcoin price is very slow, it also depends on how we trade.

The main reason I still believe in the market changing for the better is that over the last years in Bitcoin history, the market price also underwent this kind of situation we are currently in but it bounces back after a while. I believe the current bear market will be over soon and the bull will take over

Bitcoin now a day is not at high price but its really struggling I am sure soon it will be high so Altcoin will also rise. We will have to show patience yet, we need to take wise decision to keep holding and  not to listen any bad news we should make our research and not to listen any one who wants to discourage you as bad news effect the market because we listen to them.

That is not the whole truth. Indeed, the market gets filled with FUDs and FOMOs. There are rumors too but nothing has ever succeeded to beat bitcoin or potential altcoins. After almost ten years of their existence, anyone can trust bitcoin and ethereum blindly for sure. But in case of new projects, a lot of care needs to be taken. An investor planning to choose new coins over old ones will most probably face loss.

As like every situation faced in the crypto market in previous days same like that even this year also we do not have any option to resolve the situation.
We only can wait for some months until the market value boom to next level.

I am convinced that the situation in the cryptocurrency market will quickly change for the better as soon as large businesses, such as oil and gas companies, move from applications to real actions when they use Bitcoin and Ethereum for their own purposes for financial transactions.

At this moment I don't know what I'm holdi g onto but in all this is market cycle playing itself out. I'm holding on to halving if things get better so be it if it doesn't same way.

the worst problem with this market is that, it is too small compare to others. too easy to be controlled,

That a big IF on that case but im sure that it would takes time neither they would consider it out or would just simply stick to e-fiat for sure.
These big companies wont really tend to risk on using something which isnt even approved nor being accepted globally or specially being recognized legally.
Somehow we do see some services or merchants do consider on using these crypto payment options but we cant really deny that we arent still into that
level of adoption but somehow it do have that potential.

Most people are driven by various factors etc, in my own case am driven by what lies in the future thus sticking to the crypto space. Satoshi saw the future and created bitcoin and till today it's the most valuable coin still growing. So I think we all need to have what drives us so as to be at peace. And lastly, one of the ways to ensure a growing market is when working products are created, products and services people can use not the one written on whitepaper.
