Title: retrospective of your thoughts
Post by: musgun on October 15, 2019, 11:50:14 PM
Would be nice to start a conversation of your first thoughts about bitcoin. When did you read about it the first time? Did a friend tell you about it or what happened? What was your first thoughts and what is the change in your mind of this topic today?

The first time i was confronted with bitcoin, a friend told me about it. He told me it is a new currency, but he did not understand how it works or how to get it. So we started to watch a youtube video to understood this new thing. No one of us understood the technical part, but it sounds really interesting. After some days we talked again about it and both of us was infected with Bitcoin.
I think there is no change about this topic for me because there are to many new things to read or talk about. maybe it is more worse than the first days, but i like to inform me and read news about this topic. i do not know if this is for ever, but today i love bitcoin and hope there will be a day we all could pay with it at a supermarket daily.

The year was 2016 for me when I first got aware of Bitcoin but not before buying my first coin with TheBillionCoin (TBC) which we later found was not actually a real cryptocurrency and just another big scam. I bought my first Bitcoin from a good exchange operating here in my country because I was also involved with some revenue-sharing programs (many of them eventually folded up or became scams except just 1) and we need to use Bitcoin. In 2016, upon giving the Bitcoin a handshake, the price was hovering over $500 (yes, you read it right). From there on, I started getting to know more details on Bitcoin, its beauty, benefits and advantages. I would say that the journey has been an electrifying, a little bit horrifying roller-coaster ride and I think it will be intensified for the next five years, at least.

Found Bitcoin like approximately 5 years ago because I was looking for a way to selling my MMORPG game currencies for money, but I don't have PayPal or a bank account. Then I found the bitcoin suggestion on some kinda shady website on the second page of the Google search results. No IDs and documents required? I was immediately sold(as if I had any other choice anyway). Without even knowing the decentralization, privacy, and deflationary aspects of bitcoin.

It was way back 2013 when I was fresh college graduate, my younger brother is mad crazy about cryptocurrency. He says it is a free currency you can get online by faucet and etc. And I was buffled on how will the internet give you money by staying online and that it might be a scam. So, I tried reading further more and understood that it could be something that we might be using in the future. However, I stopped in crypto since I only had a small capital to use and the only thing I know how to earn it was so little by that time, that is through a risky investment doubler or by gambling. I cane back maybe 2 years after and started to learn about trading, bounty hunting, and etc. It was fun and I am happy I learned crypto maybe not too early, but still I was able to get advantage of the recent bull-run.

first I heard about it in 2013, but did not pay attention to it at all! Next time when I got connection to crypto, was 2015,  I guess, some people proposed to pay for my goods by bitcoin payment, I checked and decided to decline  ;D
so more seriously I've studied the question of bitcoin in 2017, june.
I believed in it, when I got some seriouse money made from trading and mining altcoins.. yeah.. 2017, a golden year of bitcoin, altcoins...
I wonder if these times ever come  back  8)

A few years ago, I got a task to write an article or two about it. I had no idea what it is, so I had to do quite a bit of research. It was interesting but i did not expect that something would ever become of it. That was long before the ATH and alike, and I did not expect that it will grow as large as it did. It sounded too good to be true.

At first I don't have enough knowledge about bitcoin. But once I tried and i learned a lot and I gain so much experience about earning money. But you shouldn't see bitcoin as a ladder to become rich. Just use bitcoin in faster and effective transactions.

My friend told me everything about it too, but still I don't have any idea how this works, all I know is that I can have the chance earning some penny by posting here in forum, and as doing research and reading posts here I realized the true value of crypto so I decided to search more about it and share my knowledge to my friends too.

In the late 2014 a friend of mine introduced me to Bitcoin mining and faucets. That's how I made my first Bitcoins, too bad that I haven't put any money of my own into it at those price as now I'd be much more wealthier. At fist I thought at Bitcoin like at a virtual currency that is used for online payments. That was all for me, an electronic method to make payments. Later on as its popularity has grown exponentially I've decided to deep further into it. I have read countless online articles about cryptocurrency and even followed a course. I found out about the underlying technology - the blockchain and the mechanics of a cryptocurrency transaction, wallets, addresses, etc. It's been a very interesting ride so far and I'm always learning new things.

I like the word you used to explain how you got "infected" or hooked on Bitcoin, because it is actually spreading like a virus. People have for many years used fiat currencies and centralized payment services like PayPal and they never thought it would be possible to have a "currency" that are not under the control of large corporations and governments and then Bitcoin was introduced.

When you first get introduced to Bitcoin everything is so intimidating and complex, but as you dig a little deeper, you find that it gets a lot easier to understand.  ;D

*I was first introduced to it at a friends party and I was instantly hooked.  ;)

I first discover bitcoin when I am looking for an online job that lets me earn dollars. Though I have failed to find one but I discover bitcoin faucets, I dont really understood that time what bitcoin but what I know is that it can be exchanged with dollars.  2 years later I joined an investment that uses bitcoin as mode of payment and I was surprised that bitcoins vale have tremendously increased. Then at that time I studied bitcoin and searched ways to earn bitcoin online, including signature campaigns, hyip, affiliate marketing, gambling, trading and even mining. I became addicted to bitcoin and I even wake  at 3 in the morning just to see the value of btc if I gain some profit or not.

Good intro, smart people always find the smart way to get something special, so you should stay your life with smart people because you can achieve a lot of things by the company you have. so far I can remember about my first day when I got informed about this platform, One of my cousins shared with me about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, initially, I took it very lightly but when I started studying regarding this issue then I found a massive platform running very successfully and a lot of people were working there, I got interested in this platform and it was mid of 2017 and finally came to this cryptocurrency world and saw a huge price bump at that time, That was the beginning and still going on.

I first got to know cryptocurrency by reading news about bitcoin on a website in my country in 2016 which on that website explained about getting bitcoin by mining satoshi to exchange with bitcoin after I read the news on the website. I'm confused about what bitcoin is. what is bitcoin for and what is meant by bitcoin? after that I continued browsing and learning about bitcoin until now and now I understand that I can adopt Bitcoin.

It was quite a funny situation actually. I was still a student back then around 2016 or something. A friend of mine told me that someone was using our school's computer to mine bitcoin and I was like, bitcoin?? what is that? Well, it was funny cause I was ignorant at the time and even ignored the situation back then. Never thought that after 3 years I'd comeback and see it making a huge stride over the world, reaching ATH of 20k $. It was really unexpected back then and I kinda regret not going for it when I discovered its existence.

Did you gain a lot of profit with all of your methods or did you lose a lot of bitcoin? i have never used hyip, gambling or using signature campaigns. Would be interesting to know if it is time wasting or would you say we should give it a try?

Lol, are you really serious? HYIP doesn't require much time investment, but if you are not fond of losing your money then I advise you to not invest in such schemes.
Gambling is just luck so just treat it like a game for fun and not a way to generate continuous income from it, because you won't.
Signature campaigns require to invest some time, but you get paid to do the stuff that you would be doing anyway (hopefully).

That's what makes the signature campaign stand out, when I got into the forum, I steadily got involved in the discussions and I was still making close to the number of posts I make this days, i dy started off with Altcoin bounties till I was able to build my account till the level it's at now.

I still make posts in my favorite sections of the forum, but with a signature on, I'm to a certain extent sure I'm not a spammer, and it's right if one is not, to be on a signature, you win on both ends.
I gamble, but with a very small amount.

A friend introduced it to me and I have no problem searching what is Bitcoin because the internet at that time is full of it, thanks to the early promoters, they have done a great job, making it easy for those who like to come and explore Bitcoin and blockchain.

Things will be easy now, all they need now is the motivation and the eagerness to explore what Bitcoin is and all the information are readily available, we can do our part by adding more by adding our success and story in using Bitcoin.

I also don't have any clue about bitcoin during the day that I've heard about it. It was in the middle of 2018 and I started hearing a few passive conversations of my classmates involving bitcoin. Yes, I got curious but didn't bother to do a research about it, all I actually knew is that they are earning a lot with this bitcoin thing and I don't know how it happens, what they are doing and such until an event pulled me into getting to know bitcoin more and what was it about realizing that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and has more complexity than the traditional currencies.

I learned about bitcoin in 2014, when it began to grow, said my friend, did not particularly attach importance, then somehow climbed into the Internet and off we go

My first thought is that bitcoin is a real scam online and not an opportunity to get money not until I came to read and study about bitcoin and how investment here works and I proved my doubt wrong. No one told me about this, I saw bitcoin when I am looking for ways to earn online as a student and I come up with bitcoin.

It was year 2015 that I discovered bitcoin and I thought it was like paypal funds since the investment site that I joined only accepts bitcoin as mode of payment. In the end that HYIP was a scam but I am still thankful since I discovered bitcoin and have learned about it. It was also the time when I scout the net on how to earn bitcoins since I believe that there was money in bitcoin and I can profit from it. So my journey started with faucets until I came to affiliate marketing, Signature campaign, trading, ICO consultancy and website moderator.
