Title: Is it worth investing in Metal (MTL)?
Post by: ruthbabe on October 16, 2019, 04:36:27 AM
Guys, you've probably heard and / or read this news, ‘Youngest Bitcoin Millionaire’ Willing to Stake it All on Metal Pay (https://www.coindesk.com/why-the-youngest-bitcoin-millionaire-is-willing-to-stake-it-all-on-metal-pay)... Somewhat surprising, he'll stake all his Bitcoin earnings... but the question is, do you think investing in Metal Pay really worth it?

Metal is a solid project that started in 2017 with a working product now. They already show great progress by processing tons of transactions already. So in my opinion, they are quite a good project to invest in but not all-in. The article you attached is a bit exaggerated and maybe for promotion purposes of MetalPay itself only.

They have low rating reviews during there ICO. Still, it's up to you to decide.

It's worth to invest in this one. This project is actively adding a new kind of coin on its marketplace. Qtum is a new coin that already listed to the metal payment. I never got even a single problem by used metal pay and this is a good enough project.
But I have moved to the crypterium.
this coin looks good but it looks like this one is not so popular compared with another project that is working on the same field as metal.

But that youngest bitcoin millionaire is joking by saying metal will beat bitcoin.
 :D

I had heard it, this is an old news. And I just doubt that he spent all his asset and moved to metal pay since there is no proof that he sent all his assets. Other than that, he is developer for metal coin so as I have a bad preconception to him, probably he just make a promotion in order to many people have a convince that the coin will overtake bitcoin for its using side.

I don't have a clearly mind when there is someone ask a suggestion to invest in altcoin. Because we have faced many things if we talk altcoin, its price can soar in a few times and get back to the lower price and it is often to happen. So, it will be good if you have an interest to this coin you may spend a little money on it, don't spend all your money, see the development firt about the coin.

This platform already has its utility and can be used daily in some countries, it is worth investing in it because it has a potential to be used widely across the world but saying it could beat Bitcoin is completely bullshit. We have seen many projects claimed to be one Bitcoin killer or replacing Bitcoin, but none of them are able to do it until now.
if you are looking for a potential project, this project could be what you are looking for. It is definitely worth it, at least it will show its worthiness after it spreads its wing to other countries across the world.

Do not believe that investing in altcoins is worth it at the moment, because even the biggest IEOs are not giving profit at the moment. I am waiting for BTC dominance to decrease to start investing in altcoins again.

No one will definitely tell you whether to invest in Metal Pay. There are no psychics here :)
The project is good, solid. If you have an investment portfolio and available funds, then, of course, you can add a little Metal Pay asset to it.

I hope that boy has made the right decision, putting all funds to a single company is such a huge risk even if the company is currently performing well you can’t guarantee the future results. Although he made that money from Bitcoin I hope he will not be beat by his bet.

“We’re looking to beat bitcoin,” Finman said.

“I’ve been a bit back and forth in the past (‘crypto is dead’/ ‘resurrect Bitcoin’) but have found in recent months, especially, that the bitcoin community is super fragmented. And the actual usability for bitcoin is minimal,” Finman said.

This guy is out of his mind if he thinks he's going to create something that's going to 'beat' bitcoin.  I am also not sure what he means by his statement that bitcoin's usability is minimal.  I don't think he realizes that bitcoin itself is a solution in search of a problem, that new methods of payment transmittal aren't really needed.  Most people don't mind using fiat for one, and second that payment methods like paypal work just fine.

There are also many credit cards which offer cash back rewards and other incentives to use them.  I don't think Metal Pay is really offering anything unique, nor will many people use it because they don't have alternatives.

I think that it is worth investing in metal products, because such elements in the world are constantly growing in price. and there are no such falls as on bitcoin and over the past 10 years, only growth has been seen.

Exactly, there is no coin that is definitely worth investing during time. It will lose all your funds if you believe on propaganda on the telegram or any ads telling that coin is worth to invest. All we need is just wait for the BTC to go down and invest the said altcoins you want.

IMO.. Metal  (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/metal/) is quite promising in the next few years, the ATH is around $ 14 (7/9/2017) and the possibility of getting to that price is very high.  I see something that we don't have but Erik Finman has it that is his prediction and his strong belief.

Do not believe that investing in altcoins is worth it at the moment, because even the biggest IEOs are not giving profit at the moment. I am waiting for BTC dominance to decrease to start investing in altcoins again.
it looks like a scam projects and the market's sluggishness is making our belief in a project fade  :D

This young man saw that there was a better prospect than just saving BTC, but i seemed he had not fully done what was mentioned in the headline, he just said "willing".

Though Finman is willing to put in his entire “400 something” bitcoin fortune to fund Metal Pay’s growth, the 20-year-old told CoinDesk.

Don't do the same thing as the news above, because it is too risky if you have to put all your money in just one investment, divide in to several investment.

Don't just be easily persuaded by a few eye catching articles promoting some crypto projects but rather, make your due diligence and conduct an adequate research on the project and act based on your assessment.

After all, its your money and if something goes wrong with your investment decision, then there is no one else to blame but you though at least you have done your part and could make it a part of your experience to further flourish in this endeavor.

I can't say if it's worth it to invest. But I'd like to say that just because that young guy who invested to bitcoin earlier and is "willing" to sell all of his profit for that coin means that it's going to be huge. I don't follow that kind of strategy, maybe he has seen something with that coin that we can't see or there's an offer for him that's truly good on his side. I'm more concern about him selling all of his bitcoin stash for an altcoin and I thought he already did it before.

I sometimes wonder why always look for a big risk if afraid to lose?
I have heard METAL but it is not profitable in my opinion, and all coins that do not enter the top 50 in the CMC rank are not profitable,
if there is a good one why choose another? BCH, ETH, ADA, etc., they are good coins, ETH and ADA also move to POS and that means you can get free coins if you hold them.

If you want to invest in a project, let it be for the right reasons and the right reasons in this case is that you have researched the hell out of the project and feel that it would stand the test of time and meets all your standards, if you are asking a bunch of strangers if you should invest in the coin, I think it's a good indication that you have not even done your own due diligence on it,.
