Do we have world peace? When bitcoin is invented what is the help of bitcoin in the world? I made this thread for the members to comeup with something that can help the world or the communities as a whole. Not for their own interest only. What do you guys think about bitcoin and the environment can we help the environment with bitcoin? Can we help poor people using bitcoin? Can we help poor communities using bitcoin.? I'm searching for much higher cause of cryptocurrency than just medium of trade or source of income. Maybe it can be bigger and greater. Maybe bitcointalk community can help.

Bitcoin is a digital currency it means it can be used in many different ways depending on the user. Let us take for example the websites who hire people all across the globe and pay them with bitcoin. This bitcoin online job opportunities have helped many jobless housewife to earn online in the form of bitcoins. Also we have UNICEF a famous international organization who help thousands of children across the globe who are in need of help due to poverty, hunger conflict etc. Right now UNICEF accepts bitcoin and ethereum as form of donation and thus cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. And so bitcoin  can be used as a tool to help those people in need.

Well, Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, in general, are already being used in regions that have inflation problems. They cannot be censored, and you can't have your account frozen. I'd say that is helping out quite a bit. There are also many charities that accept crypto, and they often go for several top coins, not just Bitcoin. This helps by letting you know where your money is going, and what they use it for, so you know that you are actually helping, instead of just filling some rich guy's pockets. These may seem like small steps, but it is important to remember that BTC is still pretty new, and that it is only money. It may be an advanced version of money, one that doesn't suffer from some fiat money issues, but it is still only money, not a magic solution to the world's problems. That is something that we can only change by changing our views on the world and the way we think.

I knew bitcoin in 2016 I continued to learn more about bitcoin at that time, I was quite happy with the presence of bitcoin in this world my economy is getting better I can help those closest to me thanks to bitcoin, I know bitcoin at my place so they know what it's a benefit after knowing about bitcoin. For this bitcointalk forum I am looking for the right information and discuss about the world of cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general could be used as a medium of donations to non-government organizations with visions to help the people or the environment. Since cryptocurrencies does not require too much fees, and transactions are almost limitless, acquiring help for those in need is easier than with central banks. It also helps the community send money without the need of intermediaries such as local money remittances, you can directly send funds to anyone you'd like as long as you know their public address.

In my opinion the world has lost its cursor. Most of the people are so selfish and only want them to do well, they don't care about the future of this planet and people in it. Look at politicians and corruption for example.. For more money they ruin big development projects. I know this sounds pessimistic, in most of the cases this is the truth. Bitcoin and the blockchain technology can be of tremendous help especially for the unbanked people in Africa and for the entire world in order to evade the knots of centralization and inflation. Maybe with a good management and leadership fiat currencies would have been viable, but the nature of the humans don't make them a trustless entity so that's why we need to implement blockchain and cryptocurrencies so the transparency of our hard-earned money that goes to the budget will be much higher.

Today is a digital age, where people are no longer required to go out of their way to pay the bills. This makes our job easier and we have more time for other tasks.

That's why bitcoin has helped us so much, Because there are so many options you can make using it. You can also help other people through bitcoin. By donating today to charities that already accept bitcoin.

The value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for humanity will be perceived only after a while, since today cryptocurrency is still very difficult to use for most people.  Nevertheless, with the help of social networks and the media, humanity is beginning to understand the inevitability of the transition to cryptocurrency, as well as its importance for receiving high-quality services and secure digital non-cash payments.

We can help poor people in the 3rd world using bitcoin, just like any other currency.
Many people have launched charity communities contribute to help poor people and make positive impact on the world, build a school, electric power grid, fresh water well, etc.

There are a lot of advantage, since bitcoin is able to give opportunities to people which is one of the reason why it was accepted and adopted by different countries, well bitcoin can help the environment where people can donate to some environment organizations if they accept it and use it to plant some trees or use it for their environmental projects/activities. Bitcoin helps everyone who wanted to make their life better, it made a huge impact on our lives and I know its not the only purpose why it was made it can be use for a lot of valuable things.

I'm sorry to tell but bitcoin is not a magic bean that can turn things around specially in the poor and under developed countries. I mean those countries have priorities and before their population can adopt our use bitcoin there should be network infrastructure first. So I doubt that their government will put that in their agenda first. There are more pressing issues, like food, health and shelter.

But for those countries who tried or if some of their population is in crypto already, it can somewhat give them more purchasing power. But to totally alleviate their economic living? I doubt that it will happen because of bitcoin.

"just like any other currency"? How does the USD or EUR help the situation in Venezuela in any kind of way? Money doesn't help them, their economy is effectively disastrous right now. Moreover, donations aren't the way to go. They need their economy to be fixed, a country cannot live off donations.

Considering the immense devaluation of the Venezuelan Bolivar, Bitcoin could be a fix as it cannot be inflated to affect a country in such a negative way. I think donations in Bitcoin actually help even less than the USD or EUR ones do, because if we barely have the adoption in Europe/USA then imagine how many places they are able to spend cryptocurrencies at there..

People often overestimate the actual help and contribution of bitcoin in today’s current society. IMO, besides the technology and freedom bitcoin offers, it also taught us how to think beyond the constraints put forth by the governments and whatnot. We have learned to look for avenues through which we can ensure our own safety and privacy in a world where data leaks and information-gathering is condoned. Simply put, we are inspired by bitcoin to be free, to think and to innovate—secondary would be its properties that helped people carry on with their beliefs.

First point of what I said summed up what bitcoin had really contributed and the ones that we feel and see right now.

The first question is very broad, so what I can answer is that it's a mess. Day by day, there's always new development and innovation and I think that's the advantage. World peace? Just like my first answer, it's a mess. Bitcoin is a part of globalization. It makes it easier for everyone to transact with people even from a far. Actually, there's already donations and charity to help people where they accept crypto. But what I've always wanted, is something for the environment. I don't know if there's existing. But it would be great to develop more charities that aims to help people across the world and the environment as well.

The are a lot of possible and impossible things that could bitcoin do for the word and for the community. First fact, bitcoin could be a help to people but bitcoin couldn’t carry them all. World is too big and population is growing rapidly. Nevertheless, Bitcoin could be one of the solutions to solve the problem but not the only solution. Bitcoin is the best of all, you just need to trust the process

I do quite agree with you on the basis of some innovations being good but disadvantageous atimes. Bitcoin definitely has nothing to do with world peace, there are so many things that are affect that one. Bitcoin has been more of a blessing than it seems, for instance in most developing countries especially some parts of Africa, many youths are embracing Cryptocurrency trading as a full-time job since there is no employment

Many are asking about this, can it help the poor through bitcoin? The answer is clear can help poor people . Recently many charities accept
donations with bitcoin and cryptocurrency. This greatly facilitates the world because of sending money via bitcoin is fast, safe and efficient.
Does Bitcoin continue to make the world peaceful? the answer is also yes, because bitcoin unites world community. Do not discriminate the

As long as there is an internet bitcoin can help our communities around the world to reduce poverty. It can help many unemployed people to earn even they just stay in their house. It will help to solve our economic problem. But it will happen if the government does not ban it. Even though it has advantage and disadvantage ,still it can help for everyone who knows how to use it since it was online that needs internet and knowledge about gadgets and computer.

Reality check that Bitcoin won't solve all the problems in the world but it can be a solution like helping those unbanked people to gain access in financial system because anyone can owned a Bitcoin through buying on exchanges, mining and getting paid by Bitcoin in virtual world. We live in a digital era and Bitcoin is one of the greatest creation that we have now and we can take advantage of its usefulness to create a better future for the next generation.

as long as bitcoin is present we can say that it has reduced some people from unemployment who are those who cannot work in the real world and so the only way they can do work with the cryptocurrency world and in my opinion now bitcoin has changed some poor people- people who don't get the attention of their government but there is still a bitcoin community that we hear now that they donate a little of their daily needs to the poor to survive.

Bitcoin has nothing with world peace and it is not a solution to world problems. The issues of the world have been there before the innovation of bitcoin. From north to Asia , to America, Europe all over, bitcoin was not part of the problems bedevilling these continents.
Yes, it can help the poor if invested in. If you manage to buy bitcoin and keep in a secured wallet for some long time, you can be lucky to see a tremendous increase on the long time

i like your advocacy but you miss understood bitcoin  . bitcoin is not built for the sake of world peace and to sort other issues   . its only created for the purpose of having a new payment system but there are those concern people that use the power of bitcoin to help others  .

You're spot on that Bitcoin won't solve all the world problems, but apart from societies with sufficient access to technology and not access to existing financial systems, how exactly do the unbanked people -- who probably have 1 non-smart mobile phone per family at best -- access this financial system?

You say anyone can buy on exchanges, mine and get paid with bitcoin? Maybe you need the reality check and look up how many of the world population has access to the internet first before thinking bitcoin can solve this problem;)

Cryptocurrency adoption in African countries is going rather actively, and people from other regions where there are many people living in bad conditions also use them quite often. But the main point of Bitcoin is not to solve the world poverty problem. There are other people solving that, and this year's Nobel in Economics was given to people who offered their approach to this problem, by the way. IMO the problem of poverty in the contemporary world is clearly the problem of redistribution of good as well as the problem of extreme corruption in poor countries which makes it difficult to actually help those people. Bitcoin is giving people freedom from the governments, freedom from states, banks, authorities, and fiat. This is also a very important thing to do, and it can be empowering.

This government gives very big problem to the cryptocurrency as well as the community which is using it. When the time blockchain companies applied for global acceptance notice that all the times They were regretting to accepted it.

Bitcoin isn't invented to divide though that's one sure thing to keep in mind. Blockchain was introduced along with it which is the one that will help us all even the poor people. Cryptocurrency isn't just BTC, there are more altcoins which were created which has its purpose and affordable for now to which poor people has the chance to invest.

If blockchain will eventually be used in many systems including the government systems are going to be using blockchain, it can make things work efficiently from API and automation.  Blockchain can help a lot in many ways in organizing things from accounting, governance, records and etc probably even crimes to help this world a better place and achieve peace.

Bitcoin is decentralized and it's really difficult for anyone to lead towards any sort of environment cause unless a group of friends who are into bitcoin comes up with something unique to help the community. But nowadays everyone is running behind profit including myself and don't have time to build a team which will give back to our community which is mush thing for long term plan.

Bitcoin was not created to produce world peace, reduce inequality, or several many other political things some people often come with. As far as The State is concerned, the only thing bitcoin does, is separate money from State, like religion was made separate from State.

The repercussions of that, you can guess, but that is beyond Bitcoin's control, design or intent. All Bitcoin does is give people a chance to escape from State controlled money, to money governed by a set of rules known as source code. These rules are not easy to change, unlike State money, where a single person can make millions poor and miserable overnight.

Unfortunately poor people are already poor, and they can't do much to overcome it with Bitcoin alone. Only the few fortunate that believed and invested early in the project could have managed to escape poverty, but that is not possible anymore. Bitcoin is simply a better money, for people without access to good money (ie. my country, the worst worldwide). But the people here, earning about 2 to 10 USD in a month, can barely save anything to buy a few satoshis, any random exchange would have higher fees than whatever they would try buying. Save for a year you say? In hyperinflation, the purchasing power of fiat disappears everyday. Basically, what bitcoin is doing, that, it unites the world using one currency, not just that but also provide a strong investment platform for everyone to earn profit. In this regard, since many people are using it across the world and it is decentralized, there's no fear for us to think if our peace will be compromised. Thankyou for your answers guys. Now I realize that the bit coin is only a tool and it can't be the answer for the problems. But I see that the solution for the problems are the peopel and bitcoin played a role for this because we are the people and now bitcoin unite us here at bitcointalk.org. If only we can share our thoughts, knowlege, and resources and unite it we could help. Maybe it will be good to start but I don't know how.

Of course, every invention should be for human welfare, I think Bitcoin is also a good platform for the people who don't have anything. if someone hasn't any opportunity to make both ends meet then Bitcoin has provided a lot of opportunities to make the money from various types of job, not only that but also Bitcoin has a donation wing where we can donate for the poor people as well as poor community, I think donation is not a permanent solution, creating a job opportunity and job-related environment is very essential for a helpless people, We can create also a platform where we can gather a fund for themselves, I know it's duty to bring something for the human welfare.

the discovery of cryptocurrencies from bitcoin to alt was to cut the long process of transaction which made it difficult for the public to be easy. the entire utilization of cryptocurrencies for the advancement of human civilization has not yet been felt due to government restrictions. Bitcoin solves many problems that international travelers currently deal with. I travel overseas several times a year, and I am constantly dealing with many problems. The biggest of which is the fraud issue. No money has ever been taken from my accounts, but the proactive fraud measures taken by the bank cause me headaches all the time.

A few years ago i was overseas and my bank froze my debit card 3 times in a week for 'suspicious' activity despite my telling them before I left where I was going to be. It caused untold nightmares. already bitcoin is making my life that much easier. an ATM ate my debit card and I was left with just a little cash, but a lot of bitcoin. I was able to pay for my hotels, return ticket and sell a little bit on localbitcoin. Saved my ass having a bunch of money right on my computer. If only btc atms take off this will be the go-to medium for frequent travelers.

You really care about the environment and each other. Yes, cryptocurrency gives us many opportunities to do and get something more useful in unique ways. There are several cryptocurrency communities around where I live that often hold charity activities, such as raising funds when there are natural disasters, sharing with orphans, etc. These positive things are often done as a form of gratitude for every convenience we get from cryptocurrency because there are still many people around us who are not as fortunate as we can enjoy this advantage.

There are a lot of people benefited crypto and also a helping hands but it doesn't mean that these people could keep helping to hopeless individual.

Bitcoin is still developing, though it wasn't fully appreciated worldwide but it might be going to that. It surely takes time for that, it wasn't a hurry and I  know people could see the importance of bitcoin/crypto in the future and to our economic system.

So bitcoin and alt coin are having trouble from the restriction of using it by the other country. And some country even ban using it? Now here is the thing, what if bitcoin community like us here in bitcoin talk organize a foundation to help others and at the same time promoting bitcoin and altcoins. Maybe if the governments see that our community is helping they will also support bitcoin.

It's hard to provide examples of crypto-currencies really improving the world other then in the financial sense, because at its core, it's still a form of money and that can't really revolutionize the world like you've said.

There's an example of it helping out there - in countries in conflict like Hong Kong, crypto-currencies are able to provide people with freedom and so they'll be able to control their assets without the government stalking them.

Blockchain technology, though, can be utilized in many ways to help the world.

In our community, one problem for us is the heavy transportation traffic and hassle transportation. It still hasn't been resolve till now, but I am proposing an idea, instead of selling tickets, it is much efficient to use bitcoin, in such a way that it will make the flow smooth, one tap and all has been settled. And with regards to the heavy transportation, instead of people going to banks depositing their money, or a person paying someone, it can be resolve by transferring all the needed funds in the cryptocurrency network.

I don't know what relation one can draw between bitcoin and poor people and how it can help them. if you mean to say countries with huge corruption rates then i would agree with you but bitcoin can help the poor people because it's quite expensive for them to buy at the moment and i don't think Satoshi would ever have an airdrop from his wallet lol.

Technology has it's ups and downs, it brings convenience but at the same time, it affects how we deal with everything around us. Cryptocurrency brought a lot of opportunities and convenience to people, but it had put a lot of people at risk. Technology is evolving real fast and you can see the changes everywhere, comparing how people spend their time daily a few decades before technology took over our daily lives. True that it had brought a lot of new ideas and convenience, but people spend less time in their real life commitment, such as family, friends, environment, and etc. And spend more time on technology, social media, gadgets and etc. People become lazier and technology dependent. But we cannot remove the fact that due to technology we were able to do a lot of things today than what we can do yesterday.

This misconceptions about bitcoin should be corrected it's a system where technology can help the economy if being use correctly, it's not an investment assets that can bring quick profits, instead it should be treated as payment process system that can bring things much easier.

Bitcoin should be use as good alternatives it can really help from that form of financial system.

As a currency, bitcoin has the same function as a fiat currency. Bitcoin has value, bitcoin can be traded. Bitcoin is just a tool or medium.  It is the one who hold Bitcoin that have the capability to help the world.  The functions and option is already there.  What missing is the company or group of people to integrate it for that function. It's true many things have changed since Bitcoin was created however I can't agree fuly about effect. This doesn't reflect countries and economies in general but changes happened more at individual level, individuals who are involved in crypto benefit from that. Cryptocurrencies are not officialy included in economy of any country, there is no such regulation and you can't meassure the impact on economy because this is not registered, businesses accept cryptocurrencies in very limited level.
So when we say that cryptocurrencies have changed something that is more impression than real effects that could be meassured.

I see now the world has changed from the last 10 years ago. In the last 10 years ago, I see the world is not too busy like today. Many things have invented, including bitcoin, which can help people from all countries. The presence of bitcoin will also help the system and fix the financial problem, and that will give a chance for people to make money from the internet.

Maybe we cannot help poor people using bitcoin, but we can help them with the money which we get from bitcoin. Right now, bitcoin can be used for trading, and payment and bitcoin will reach the other aspect, which we don't know and need to find out. Bitcoin will be bigger and higher in the future, and bitcoin will help more people again.

in my opinion the presence of bitcoin has helped a lot and saved the economy of many people. It gives work to many people in the world and many inspiring stories about bitcoin. and now there are also many charities that want to accept bitcoin as a donation. with bitcoin we can also make international transactions easily, quickly and safely. a little or a lot of bitcoin has provided many benefits for humans.

By the gap of technology, when the country with a poor access of technology doesn't cope up with bitcoin so there are some people doesn't know about this.
