I used this topic since I wanted to share my experience before I engaged in bitcoin. In 2013 I lost all of my savings when I joined AMAN Features. AMAN Features is a pyramiding scheme in guise of a trading investment that took billions of pesos around the Philippines. Because of that I was full of debt, after year I got married and at the same time my wife gave birth to my son. My debt has increased again and because of the interest from the debts I can only take home 10$ every 15 days to feed my family. Of course that was not enough and so I again applied for some loan from a different individual so I can provide the needs of my family especially my 1 year old child. In 2015 I was lucky to be hired as a regular employee but because of my debts my salary just went to the loan sharks. At the same year I look for online jobs but I failed but what I encountered was the bitcoin faucets online. I started collecting faucets and I am earning half a dollar per month. My mother, brother including my wife were laughing and they told me that my eyes will just get painful and I will not earn something, it is not worth it they said. Finally in 2016 I did some affiliate marketing and one of the owner of that company noticed my talent and hired me to be a part of their company with my salary in the form of bitcoin. With my salary I started doing trading while doing signature campaign and guess what by the fourth quarter of 2016 I actually paid all of my debt. Right now my journey from being drowned in debt was exchanged to a financially stabled life, my family is now eating good food, I can send my wife to college including my child, I now have a simple house worth 14k$, I bought some appliances clothings.

Without bitcoin my life was a mess, I was full of stress. But bitcoin changed my life and here I am now a financially stable individual. Though I am not a millionaire but I am no longer in poverty.

Good for you, There are some people who are not contented on what they have. most of them became a victim of high % ROI in short times. what we called here a Ponzi scheme. With the name of bitcoins on the line, they thought that if they engage in this kind of investment they will gain a lot of money more than what they have right now. So, they ended up losing more money with that thought. If you are contented on the little things you have, You will never fall to such scams and you will slowly gain a profit enough to live happily and secured.

@Mandoy that’s an inspiring tale and my life changed when I came to this forum 3 years ago, I was introduced to bitcoins and thanks to it i was able to quit my 9 - 5 job. Besides quitting my job I also brought IPhone X, Fitbit, and many other gadgets during these three years. Last but not the least I was also able to travel to many countries thanks to my income from bitcoins.

I really felt on what you had experience here yet I do have almost the same story as yours where I don't have a stable job until some of my friends do introduce bitcoin to me.

When I got curios on whats it all about then I do made up some research and same as yours I do start up with faucets until I decide to engage with bounties when I do find out this forum.

Luckily I do able to earn some of the amounts then I do re-roll it on some investments and trading until I do able to maintain to get some gains.

That's a very inspiring story and should be an example for others to never give up no matter in what situation they find themselves in! I love these kind of stories and I'm sure that Bitcoin made a lot of good around the world, but also a lot of bad to those who were greedy and got overleveraged credit packages from banks to buy crypto in the hope they will get millionaires over night. Well, crypto is kind of a moralist too if you ask me. Those who are patient and believe in the technology will get rewarded while the "hungry for power" ones will get hurt one way or another.

This is a very inspiring story. It's true that Bitcoin opened up new job opportunities for people. I also benefited from it a while ago. I was young when I got married. We were both university students, so we had small monthly scholarships (a total of around $70) and no jobs. We started translating stuff, which gave us another $30 per month (we could not work much, because we were concentrating on studying) and then came Bitcointalk that allowed us to have another $30 per month or something at the beginning. Then after a while, there was a time when the signature campaign was our main source of income even, allowing us to rent a flat and buy some food. These times have passed, we are currently rather stable financially, and even though a signature campaign is still offering significant financial support, I am now doing more because I like it than because I need money.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful and motivational journey. I am new and still experimenting at this moment with Cryptocurrency. I do not have a lot debt but, still debt is debt. Hopefully I will be able to pay it off soon with the help of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency.

Op, your story is that of patience and never giving up. You didn't allow your mistake of joining a ponzi create a limit for you. You have struggled through it and you are lucky to have had bitcoin while the price was still low. I'm also believing such kind of success to come my way by hodling some altcoins  ;D

Inspiring story, I guess there are a lot Bitcoin users whose lifes are changed exactly because of Bitcoin.
I'm also one of those who managed to get financial stability with help of Bitcoin.
Unfortunately, there are also many who didn't know how to use opportunity they got, they got too ambitious or too greedy so instead of financial stability they got into financial problems.

Although I was jobless, I didn't go to college because my family was poor. So I have no hope of finding comfort in life anymore and I will live to work and work until I die. But I did not give up on making money online, until my friend helped me and he taught me bitcoin.

This is my funniest day to earn 1 php or 0.01 $ in a week, haha. It's funny but it's true. But this is also the reason why I was trying to make money, Because I have proven that I can make some money here if I just work hard. And it came to fruition and within a few weeks I was making money and it was enough to supply our daily needs. Until the day of the bull run came where I made a lot of money and this is why I have my own house now and I have had a business so I have given my parents a good life, thanks a lot for bitcoin because without it I would probably still be working to make enough money a day.

It's true that bitcoin has changed many people's lives to be positive, bitcoin has also scored a lot of new rich people, bitcoin too

Before I knew bitcoin before I didn't have anything even I dropped out of school because there was no cost to finance it, my hope was not breaking up after I knew bitcoin, I started looking for bitcoin through the bounty and giveaway campaigns at the time, and I finally found a bright spot and my economy is starting to improve financially, I'm now well off,

What is clear is that bitcoin can change my life and my economy has stabilized until now.

This is really a heart touching story when you mentioned that you had only $10 to take home after 15 days to feed your family including your new born son. I am happy that now you are atleast financial independent.
My story is like this but not exactly same, I was into deep debt but however my earning was compensating it to some extent. Finally in late 2017 and early 2018 I had good earning from bounty campaigns and I sold my tokens for Bitcoins. It made me financially independent. I would say its not only Bitcoin but cryptocurrency market that gave me financial strength.

For me, patience isn't the best way I've done in keeping up the positive effects of bitcoin for me. What I am doing is becoming so much active to information so I can have knowledge to deep dive in activities that might help me gain more. Trading is one it, I am looking for possible coins that will be profitable, at the same time using my skills to predict with a bit of fundamental and market analysis of the charts shown by trading platforms. Right now, my life was change from a simple computer game guy in comshop to a bitcoin hodler and trader.

the changes that occur in me are almost the same as you, when I first found out bitcoin I tried to get as much bitcoin as I could to try to play faucet and others after that came various projects from this forum with the bounty campaign I could generate a lot of bitcoin so from bitcoin which used to have less economic conditions now my economy is getting better.

I've not really faced a lot of the hardships that other people have faced, but it was mostly a secondary source of income that was able to fund my pretty expensive obession with new technology like computer's, laptops and phones.

You have an amazing story with the help of Bitcoin leading you towards financial independence. And I am so happy for you as this is another proof how Bitcoin can be changing one's life at least financially speaking. While reading your story, the two biggest factors for you are: one, you receive your salary being a part affiliate marketing with Bitcoin because had it been the usual dollar via PayPal then you might not have started your Bitcoin journey and two, you got involved yourself with Bitcoin trading so it opened up for you many good opportunities to make more money. As for me, I bought my first Bitcoin while the value was just around $600 way back in 2016 and though I lost some to many revenue-sharing programs back then, I still able to make some good profits which I eventually used to do some online and offline business. I am  hoping that others can also have similar positive stories like you do.

I admire your perseverance in life. Living your life must have been tough and I'm thankful for what I have today. Pyramiding scams are in one time most abundant in the Philippines and many had invested in something they does not really know about or haven't done any research to their legalities. Absolutely! That's really good to hear. Well, my story is that before a friend of mine endorse me bitcoin because he said I can be able to earn a big profit from it. Well at first I don't believe him because I don't believe in easy money earnings. You can earn profit without doing nothing just investing. But In the long run when I see him earn I decided to earn invest in it as well the reason why I am here and now earning a big profit. I am so thankful that bitcoin came into my life.

They are noobs, getting blinded by the huge % multiplier and risking all their money onto it without even questioning how they be able to payout tons of users with such huge interest rate in just an hour or even a day which is most hyip scams is offering.
Being contented isn't enough you need discipline too.

Your story was inspiring. I'm also from the Philippines and I don't know if it's just Filipino families but mostly they won't believe it at first(earning here) until you've shown them the fruit of your hard work. Although unlike you, I'm still a student but what's good bitcoin brought me is that it helped me sustain my needs. I don't have to ask my parents for my allowance going to school everyday cause I can manage to feed myself. Bitcoin is indeed a big help.

my life before getting to know bitcoin, I was only a construction worker whose salary was enough to eat and I was born in a poor family with a salary I worked at a builder, I could not buy electronic goods such as gadgets after I thought I stopped working on a construction site because my salary was not a lot and i tried to learn how to earn money with bitcoin and now i can buy some facilities and some other electronic goods for only a short time, i want to thank you for bitcoin for having changed our lives.

Honestly every crypto enthusiasts has one or two touching stories to say about bitcoin, the OP had really emphasized how he was bailed out from his debts thanks to bitcoin, personally my 9 to 5  salary  payment is not sufficient enough for my needs, it was bitcoin that brought kind of succor as a supplement to my earnings and opened up more opportunities particularly trading which I am trying to divert my investment so as to be able to be self sufficient and not dependent on my salary.

Two of my closest friends who lived and worked together had a similar story with some differences. they started mining around 2012 and started mining on GPUs to build out an amazing gaming rig and just kept upgrading the rigs. they just kept getting more, GPUs and their home started looking like a server.

Even got one of the first Butterfly ASICs. slowly they stopped mining as their GPUs stopped getting a profit and their overclocked gpus slowly burnt themselves out. Then they just HODL. Just didn't pay attention, checked out, and said they wouldn't do anything until it changed their life. At 2018 they said that would sell at $10,000 to pay off their students loans and etc. this is amazing, they sold not even 30 percent of their holdings and they are now debt free and it changed their life forever.

It is a great story, but it serves to get another job that maximizes your finances, thereby reducing your debts and stabilizing your life. Bitcoin had no effect compared to being an additional job.
I expected that you bought coins in 2013 and surprised that worth thousands of dollars. Perhaps your story is like this forum changed your life by giving you a new opportunity to work.

Generally, since your income is stable, try to keep about 10% to 30% of your surplus income, keep it for about 10 years. You may provide university fees for your daughter.

I have had my own fair share of such too.

Well thanks to Bitcoin I manage to earn easily and comfortably at home and I also manage to earn more money compared when I was working 8-9 hours a day.
Now I hold my time and have so many free time on my hand .
I saved an amount of money that I never imagined that I could .

I remember this kind of story just like the same to my friends friend, he said that Bitcoin and altcoins changed their lives. And it all started on last 2017 when the price of Bitcoin during that time skyrocketed to $20,000 i just don't know if what was the price they sold their cryptocurrencies but it really changed their lives. And now my friend is slowly changing his life too thanks to Bitcoin. :D

Good story. Bitcoin is the real game-changer for a messy situation. I wish I had sized the opportunity in early 2017, USI TECH and lending coins dealt a bad blow on my finance. I know something good is on the way.

Very inspiring story congratulations to you, satoshi creation can really change someone's lives or everyone. I am not earning that much in bitcoin but I can buy things for myself, pay bills. etc. Last 2017 was my biggest earnings here in bitcointalk with bitcoin when the price reaches $19k.  Everything was green I got greedy I wish I convert all my earning into a stable coin but still, I'm blessed being here on bitcointalk where everything started.

I am not one of the people who become rich in Bitcoin as I don't have much BTC saving in my wallet. But I am one of the thousand of people who change life of this. I may not rich, but I have small business now that covers our utility bills and our daily expenses. So my fix salary as well as other sidelines, 80% of it allotted for savings.

It's great that I've read a lot stories here how bitcoin helped them change their lives. Bitcoin truly is very helpful. I still don't have a life changing experience that I can share just like op. But I can say that with bitcoin, I learned a lot. I can buy my necessities and wants (of course I have to work for it) because of bitcoin. This is really a great experience, earning and at the same time, learning.

Such an inspirational story. Unfortunately, there are so many ponzi schemes that attracts innocent people. I have never heard of AMAN but I do know some bitcoin trading ponzi networking. My brother advised me not to fall for those tricks. The lesson here is that we can even do trading by our own with the help of this forum, youtube videos and some immediate mentors.

Anyway, I'm so happy that you compensate your deficit before. Good thing you don't only rely with trading earnings but you still have a good stable job.

I think it's not about bitcoin but more about how you found a new source of earning for your. I am trying to say that getting fooled by AMAN features was your wrong doing as you were naive enough to be tricked. But on the other hand your earnings in bitcoin was your own success too. Even if there was some other source of Income(not decentralized) it would have still meant financial freedom and financial stability for you. But nevertheless bitcoin has spurred a lots of employment opportunities especially for tech geeks who are fond of staying online and knowing things.

What you shared is indeed an inspirational story. There is a bit of risk when you accepted to be paid in the form of Bitcoin but your risk paid off. Now you have what they called "Financial Freedom" with the help of Bitcoin.

I will share my experience here but it will be summarized. I was working in the government last 2017 when I decided to learn cryptocurrency in general and at that year, I also learned how to earn money in crypto thru different bounty campaigns. I worked in the government for almost 2 years and decided to stop this year because I decided to focus on what I love which is playing games (Have my youtube channel :D). What I'm earning here monthly is greater than my monthly salary in the government but it is more stressful there that is why I decided to stop working for them too.

Success isn't really the outcome of your luck, success is the result of someone's hardwork. If not for the financial debt you've been into, you won't be encountering bitcoin. It shows that if bitcoin could help an economy rise from the depth of economic despair, it would probably could help an individual rise and get up from financial debt and help them be financially stable. This is no wonder one of the factor why bitcoin is named and entitled as the king of cryptocurrency, it has lots of advantages than altcoins and of course than traditional money. But it's just a matter of hardwork to know where bitcoin will take you.

most people who know and invest in bitcoin before 2017 will experience a pleasant life story like OP. they were lucky to get to know bitcoin before the big spike so they all made huge profits. I also have a happy story I can finish building my house too because of bitcoin. but there are people who are not as fortunate as we are, those who invested in bitcoin in 2018 they all must have complained about buying when bitcoin was expensive and then not the profit they got. because the price of bitcoin continues to decline to $ 3k in early 2019.

I am able to support my finances too, I started here when I was in College, and I am so thankful because I don't need to be burden to the family who adopted me, I was able to support my school fees, projects, uniforms and other expense. I learned to manage my fund too as I am also helping my siblings with their needs in school.

As for me, I was forced to stop my studies during college due to financial needs. That time I've done a lot of things just to earn to support my studies but it is not enough.
Until I discover bitcoin and I've finally able to finish my studies because of it. I was also able to help my family financially.

My principle at that time was to continue to learn to understand bitcoin, and eventually it became routine. the solution began to appear since I started to dare to trade BTC, and began to get used to candlesticks. I didn't even understand forex/stock at the time. A few years later Halving btc happened and the debt burden that I thought made no sense to pay off finally paid off. What I am grateful for is that the knowledge that is continually tried will be a way out when it is difficult.

This is the truth that has happened with more users of bitcoin. Same time there are users who have lost big through bitcoin due to the lack of understanding about the market. Being stuck into financial issues will easily eat up our life. I believe the job he has got by that time secured his life. Myself too earned good out in the form of tokens, but missed the opportunity when those token values reached the peak.

Before focusing on trading and doing bounties, I was just an ordinary employee with a meagre salary. The necessities of life have increased, especially since I am getting married, at that time in 2017. I tried to get additional money until my friend gave me capital to trade, thank God at that time I could profit more than 100% in a few months, I could return the capital loan, and have money to start a new life with my wife. Until I decided to stop working as an employee, then with my wife focus as a freelancer, trader, bounty hunter. It's nice to have a job that you can set your own working hours and proportion of work :)

That's good. But some other people involved in Bitcoin especially those scammed got really f*cked up.
So you're very lucky. A lot people here want their lives to be easier. But it seems getting harder and harder.
I have good amount of capital back then, but because of the market. I lost all of it. So to those who wants to be rich or get poorer. Buy Bitcoin and start trading.

Sad to hear that there are lots of people who got scammed, I hope that they can recover their losses in other way and still get to used Bitcoin despite of what happened in their life, they should just treat it as personal experience and learned from it and not the reason to give up. You are really fortunate to have come by bitcoin at that point in your life. I guess for most members of this forum, we have similar stories. Personally, I have always wanted to do something worthwhile aside my usual work. Thanks to a good friend who introduced me to cryptocurrencies, am living the dream now.

Wow, how refreshing to read a feel good story like that.  ;D  I think a lot of people in first world countries does not understand the difference that $1 to $10 can make to someones life in third world countries. I have worked on contract in 3rd world countries and I introduced Bitcoin to some of those people and on my next visit a lot of them thanked me for introducing them to this border less technology.  ;)

Some of them are also doing "online" work for bitcoin and a lot of them are storing their little saving in Bitcoin to protect it against hyperinflation.  ;)

2017-2018 was a life changing time for me too.  ;)

A colleague of mine who initially into online forex trading stopped doing it when he realised that there was a hug demand for bitcoin in my country and now all he does is buying bitcoins from people and then he just resell them and he is making close to 8% of every single dollar equivalent of Bitcoins that he sells.  Bitcoin is a huge deal here and since there is no regulation, we don't even get taxed when buying or selling.

Great job mate. Very impressive stuff, and it's definelty the first story I've heard where people have used bitcoin/cryptocurrencies to get out of debt or other sticky situations, most of the articles I've seen are people that have gotten into debt from cryptos. Nice turn of pace.

I have a similar story, I went from being very average at trading stocks for a long part of 2016 and 2017 to mostly trading crypto-currencies and my profits have definelty grown since then.

Pretty sure, if you where invested (not just financially) into crypto-currencies during 2017 and 2018, you would have been affected some way by crypto.

Yes, I also know some people here in my country who are into buying and selling btc locally to people around here without the need for exchange, I am among the many people who patronize this guys, some of them use this means as a major source of income since there are no much jobs around here, btc is changing lifes of some people, given them hope.

Wow, what a life struggle. I was actually free of debt in 2017 when is there is a market bull run and also went under during the 2018 cryptocurrency market crash. I'm still hanging around though, waiting for another opportunity like the one we got in 2017 to clear debt also and live a happy life like everyone else.

It is no doubt that bitcoin do really change the lives of our fellow bitcoin hodlers. In my opinion, The growth in bitcoin is when you are aware of your capabilities and you are open for change since bitcoin is a very dynamic asset. It is unnecessary to wait, if we already have the assets right now, what we need to do to is discover ways to earn such as to trade, and to provide efficient and effective services through bitcoin.

That could be an inspiring stories and could be motivated people to involved in crypto world and indeed i get a lot of benefit from bitcoin on 2017 which is this year can be called as the best year for bitcoin so far but i think those who joining in crypto world early always have good stories but inversely proportional to the people who late to joining in crypto world that most of their stories was dominated by bad stories because being an FOMO

Yes, 2017 has been a FOMO year for those who got rekt, it is sad but hoping that they recover their loss anymore or they have the opportunity to accumulate so when time comes that there is another bull run, they can gain a lot. So, for me, I don't buy when at peak price, I am buying when it is stable already, and just doing short term investment.

FOMO's are those who got frustrated from this venue of investment, unlike OP who able to have a good life in terms of financial help since he's able to catch up in the time. There's still opportunities to people who are willing to take it seriously as both long and short term strategy will work if you have good optimistic point of views regarding to your strategy. It's still an open space to anyone who have a good mindset to work with this industry and have a prosperous stay.

very inspiring story of the OP. many people have been saved by the economy because of bitcoin. I myself before getting to know Bitcoin only had an income from my professional work and that was just enough I used to meet my daily needs. but after I joined bitcoin and get extra income from bitcoin. finally I can build a house and have a good vehicle. thank you bitcoin your presence brings blessings to many people.

No doubt bitcoin changed many lives in a short period of time and we are lucky enough to have this technology and the new market at the right time but the scammers took over the market in storm in this market too and unless there is regulation and other intervention it will be difficult for the new users to trust this market as we have already seen scam exchanges running off with the coins citing exchange hack, ponzi pyramid schemes and fake projects but all in all bitcoin helped many and good to hear about your story.

All I'm hearing is don't have children. Children cost money. This is why I will never have a child.... -_-

Bitcoin saved me too. I mean I still have to work and make ends meet but it has enabled me to do all sorts of different jobs which now support crypto payments and not just Paypal. I am pleased about that. My biggest issue about working online was how I would be paid. It also opened windows for varies earning opportunities.

Well, having a children is indeed costly, but it will be your motivation to work harder and to find more opportunity to earn more, it is not that they are your obligation, but it is because you love them and you wanted to provide everything you can for them, but of course, if you are not ready yet, then you don't need to be in a hurry.

For me, thanks to Bitcoin, I can provide my family needs and wants.

believe that bitcoin will come to those who need it especially those who struggle to get income from the internet and over time they finally find and recognize bitcoin and make it a promising source of income.
and what I see now is that his life is much better than before and can solve his family's economic and financial problems and besides that he can cover his family's debts and many other positive changes during his involvement with bitcoin.

That well said. Having children can boost our spirit to work hard for our children because we want to make sure that they can eat and get what they need for their life. We can get more support from our family to get a better life so we can give many things to our beloved family.

Bitcoin gives many good things to people, especially in making money and have a new source of income. I am sure many people are saved by bitcoin, and they still working on many things to earn more bitcoin so they can sell bitcoin at the highest price.

Having an inspiration while working can remove your fatigue, and that is the advantage of having children.
You will not think about the cost, but thinking about how you can provide their needs and wants because you love them. Having a family is not something that should be avoided, it is necessary so you can have someone to together in your life.

As for me, Bitcoin helps me and my family to become financially stable, I can give them what they want and what they need and it is enough for me.

Then finally I got to know bitcoin and knew how to get income from bitcoin. And finally I was able to earn

the story of my life that was never forgotten when in 2017 I chose to quit the job that in a month can get a salary of $ 300, at that time I was single but wanted to marry a girl in my country, but because I decided to quit my permanent job, she left me because not sure with bitcoin can finance everyday life only with bitcoin.

We are the same story of why we have been successful in bitcoin. I was 19 years old when I started at bitcoin and at the same time I was working. It was difficult because I had to spend a little time on my break from studying bitcoin to earn money but it didn't conflict with my mind to stop it because I knew that one day I would prove that I could make some money here.

And with that, I made money from 2017 to 2018 during the bull run and here I have the money to buy a home and have a business that has given me income to live on. Thanks to bitcoin and my friends who helped me to achieve this.

Good to see that even students from the Philippines do have some enough understanding how bitcoin actually works, its true that some of them won't believe in you because of what they have heard on the internet that bitcoin is some sort of scam and we can't blame them for that since there are some people who use bitcoin to deceive others but bitcoin was able to prove itself to many of us like it has the capabilities on giving us a better future. It gives so much opportunity and now it already has a huge impact on our lives. I'm grateful because bitcoin makes me realize a lot of things not only when it comes to money but also as a person like we can't have the benefits we wanted if we aren't patient enough, also we have to understand that we will not always earn sometime we will lose the battle but its is not enough reason to stop.

Yep. Got into BTC because I was bored and gonna put up a huge bbs/game server again, which would have probably cost me like $75 a month in electric to get the towers up and
learn how to run them under a better machine in emulation etc. (Figure'd that would be about $2.6k of newer replacement bbs equipment or thereabout). Also had some *3* Game of Throne Swords the Damascus Steel Versions with low collectible numbers. Anyway, I found out about Bitcoin and kept walking by the damn swords. Always helps to buy stuff BEFORE the author's HBO series. I got them because I thought George R.R. Martin was the next Tolkien. Boy, was I right! Anway, broke down and sold them for about $3.2k total I think it was, and with the $$$ set aside for the revival of the BBS/Game server I had some 'stupid' hobby cash to spend.

Then took that money and ordered like around August 1st? 2013 or so a KNC Jupiter ASIC BTC Miner that cost exactly $5,131.80 USD with shipping to my door, I think I have the price right? It arrived in a soggy mush of cardboard held together with 2 hands by DHL guy and was full of rainwater (1/2 a glass) and parts was loose inside. So after a major panic attack, and then draining water out of the unit, then borrowing hairdryer from a neighbor, I get it all set up and can't find the switch. I email KNC (got a quick 1 hr reply by chance) and they tell me to use a PAPERCLIP on the PSU. By that point, I'm having real doubts about my purchase! So after being told the proper pins to use and cutting a paper clip, I've cut half and tapping with black tape the other end, I closed my eyes, turned my head, jammed it in the pins, said a prayer and it worked. Man, I was a wreck!

So to be clear, when I started this KNC Jupiter up on Oct 18th, 2013 my goals were modest. (1) I was bored needed a hobby and this did not eat electricity like putting up the old bbs/game server. (2) When I turned it on, and looked, sometime that day BTC was exactly $150 a BTC and I was making 1 BTC a day I think, more or less. (3) Looking at difficulty I figured (wrongly was much better than that) I had like 9 months of paying off the miner/electric and then MAYBE I could get another 9 months out of the unit and pay for my house utilities and heat the basement of my house in the winter too boot! Before difficulty caught up with the unit vs price of BTC. (4) Hey, I was being a nice guy and with Micro-Lending in India, for crying out loud.  (5) being a hobby and all and Micro-Lending in India and elsewhere, being, all the rage I could use this Bitcoin miner to help those folk, hey, again, this whole BTC mining endeavor was only supposed to be just a frigging hobby. Sometimes being a bored clueless newbie, really, really comes through for you!

Well, of course, everything went completely nuts..BTC/Mining/Altcoins all took off from that point in time till now, so basically I fell into this.

So anyway, now, I should probably get the BBS/Game Server back up, for the heck of it because this BTC/Crypto allowed me to retire 2.5 years early and such. It seems appropriate if I ever find the time and all the stuff I'd have to learn about emulating O/S's under Windows 10 etc. Seems like the thing to do in retrospect. :)

Anyway, as the OP says in his title. "From financial debt to financial stability- thanks to bitcoin" this surely applies to me. I really, really liked (addicted) to ASIC mining in the big
data halls in a big, big, way, but those days are gone in the USA...so I HODL and wait.

Anyway...

Chump or Champ we will see, for the future of BTC/Crypto, we will see I guess...

It seems like bitcoin has helped a lot of people financially, though! Bitcoin has provided an opportunity for many people from freelancers to the developer, merchants to content providers. If you look at the crypto communities such as Brave (BAT) and Steemit you may realize those platforms pay content providers in cryptocurrency and other plaforms as well.   

I am also one of those who can say the same thing.  I was first get in here because of some Pay to Click site.  I used to try to earn from this site but at the end I never had a single cent cashed out of it.  But before that I am able to know this forum because of some ads.  During those time we were in a huge debt too but thanks to Bitcoin I am able to pay all these debt and be able to buy a new house because of the 2017 bull run.

Since you are still newbie, there's still a lot of ways that you need to learn, remember that Bitcoin is not stable, so it is impossible that you will win the game always, so you should know the risk on it.

Anyway, yes, we are all thankful as we have given the chance to know Bitcoin before the price will be too expensive, at least now we can still buy at cheap price.

It happens because most of the people wants high ROI in a short period of time, most of them are easily blinded with the promised high returns without really thinking about all the probabilities. I guess OP learned his lesson the hard way and it's good that bitcoin had helped you win your finances. Bitcoin sure is a very worthy investment but it is not all perfect, there are times it may hit rock bottom but it will surely bounce back to the top.

The essence of the story;
- do not trust the hype pyramid scheme
- do not invest all your savings, don't put all eggs in one basket.
- do not loan for something unnecessary.
- do not loan from loan sharks.
- believe in bitcoin

I appreciate how your life changed because of bitcoin, even though I don't have a sad story, thanks to my parents but at least I'm no longer asking for money from them.

I was lucky to have found bitcoin at its early stage,  I mean early stage of 2014 which I am very glad right now that I did not throw that opportunity away like some of my friends did and are fully regretting it right now, the opportunity to enter bitcoin has really been of a very great breakthrough for me, which started in 2017  when bitcoin made a powerful surge along with the altcoins and I got money that I never imagined that I would have gotten and right now.

I am a millionaire in my country, because I had to invest some of the money that I got in landed properties while I am still using the other ones to learn trading since I have a wonderful trading idea in cryptocurrency after I dumped Forex trading market for it. I will always be very much grateful to God for this opportunity.
