I don't follow Turkish Super League, so my knowledge about this league is limited. I only can talk about teams that play in UEFA competition.
Main contenders are same - Galatasaray, Trabznospor, Basaksehir. I'm not sure about Fenerbahche, they have bog financial problems, previous season was bad for them, but their squad is decent. And in general, it's not best time for Turkish football, many clubs have problems with money and they can't afford to buy famous player like 5 years ago for example.

Actually Turkish league still have top class players. Galatasaray have Falcao, even though he's dealing with injuries, Beşiktaş have Llajic, Trabzonspor have Sturridge and Sosa and they are playing great.
The competition is closer than other seasons, it's good for fans but hard for gamblers. There is no guaranteed bet, every team can beat each other. I hope in the next couple of weeks we'll see more stable standing and championship race.

Here's standings after 18th week. Sivasspor looks like a serious contender after beating rivals Beşiktaş. Başakşehir and Trabzonspor continue their following. Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe didn't miss this chance and got their 3 points. Second half of the league started very fast for all contenders.

Good to see here a thread for Turkish Super League.
Thank you for that...

Sivasspor is playing good and they are deserving 1st line now. But Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both has chance to reach championship still.
Also Trabzon is playing well lately.

This week we can watch good matches; Fenerbahce vs. Basaksehir.

I will make a choice, waiting for odds just now.

Although Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş clubs are favorite teams every season, Başakşehir and Sivasspor have performed very well this year.  Of course, it does not seem possible to make a prediction or comment according to a certain result, since the season is not yet over.  I still expect a good success by Sivasspor and Başakşehir at the end of the season.

This year, my favorite team is Fenerbahçe. In my opinion, Fenerbahce may have closer points for the championship, but will lose the trophy at the end of the season.

Last week passed with a lot of controversial subjects as usual.
-Malatyaspor vs. Trabzonspor game cancelled due to an earthquake but Fenerbahçe appeal this. Because next week they have an important match against Trabzonspor.
-Göztepe vs. Beşiktaş game had an official error and Beşiktaş appeal the game. They have to repeat the match under normal circumstances. I don't expect this decision from federation though.
-Galatasaray won comfortably.
-Leader Sivasspor conceded their game with a last second goal. This may be too important 1 point for their championship race.
There were too many opportunities for bettors. I hope everybody made some money past weekend.

The Turkish Super League is looking interesting with the first top teams divided by only six points it means there is real competition going on.Also it is the first time for me to see a team like Sivaspor leading the Turkish Super League but judging from the statistics it looks like they are the top contenders for this year title.Still a lot of weeks to play though and the ranking can change until the end of the league.

Publishers and Galatasaray that I often watch in Turkish league matches have long since I got to know this club and when playing at UCL.
It seems that Publisher and Galatasaray have good statistics, have won a few this time, but Galatasaray still has not shown the best ranking, position 6 now and there is still time to pursue it next season to get into UCL.

What do you mean by Publisher? Are you using Google translate? There is no such team named as Publisher in the league.

Sivasspor has just lost 6 points in 2 matches.
Things getting crazy in Turkish Super League.

Trabzonspor, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray is getting close the leadership. I think this 3 teams will fight until last week of this season.
And I think they all have chance to be champion this year. Sivasspor can't go far anymore.

Besiktas has just won against GFK. Change of manager made the air positive in BJK again.
And Trabzon has just catch Sivasspor today. The competition is getting hotter.

ADD: Fenerbahce has lost 2 points against Alanya now.

I am not watching the games but I like to gamble in Turkish Super Lig.
I love the way Alaniaspor plays this season and I hope that they would be the champions in the end.

The Turkish league is one that not a lot of people enjoy watching. But it is a sweet league to place odds.
If you have noticed well, turkish league midweek games (especially Tuesday) are mostly draws with both teams scoring.

Perhaps I can interest myself to drop turkish league analysis often

Interesting scenes at the Turkish league with no one noticing.

It's a very tight season so far, with just 6 points separating the top 6 and surprising leaders for me.

Is this the closest turkish league season in years? Perhaps someone watches them alot.

Lets know.

There are 3 big clubs (actually we may call 4) teams. Usually they are dominate the league and reach the victory.
But after 2010, competition has started to rise. And other teams started to show good performances against the big clubs. Still they can't keep going like that.
Probably one of those 3 big clubs will be the champion at the end of the year.

BTW, this week we will see great matches in SPL.

Basaksehir vs. Besiktas
Trabzonspor vs Sivasspor

Will be great.

Instabul Basaksehir has been in great shape during the last few years.Besiktas is surely having a tough time against Basaksehir this week and I think they might lose too.I don’t consider at this time the losing of Besiktas as a surprise if it happens because things have changed a lot from the time where Besiktas were dominating the Turkish Superlig.

I was shocked looking at the clubs at the top of the league

I had always figured Fernabache bekistas and Galatasaray as the big guns of the league
Indeed time truly flies.

Its hard to give a prediction for either of those matches lol

Cards may have been redistributed this evening in the League.

The points margin in the Turkish league remain close and i have to admit that its ab interesting fight for the title this season.

Trabzonspor defeated Sivasspor to go top of the standings,
Istanbul Basaksehir defeated Besiktas to remain second While the second disappointing result for me for this week was 5th place Alanyaspor losing at home to Genclerbirligi. After Fenerbahce fluffed their lines

The league keeps getting interesting, and i will be following it dearly.

What do you think equally ?

In Turkish Super League, we're watching the same thing for years. A few teams play well by the end of the year, but eventually one of the big teams wins the championship. For example last year! Basaksehir remained the leader for a long time, but Galatasaray became the champion!

I think we will see same results. Galatasaray or Fenerbahce will get that trophy. I don't think Sivas and Trabzonspor can keep going like this.

Well, first big match in TSL is over.
Besiktas 2-2 Trabzonspor

Both teams could won this game tonight but it has end 2-2.

So tomorrow game between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray matches more important anymore. Because Trabzonspor has left 2 points today.

It seems difficult for Galatasaray to win the match against Fenerbahce because even head to head does not take sides for Galatasaray to win when playing away, and also their last 5 matches always end in a draw, so I'm not sure Galatasaray will get 3pts.

I think so. It won't be easy match for both team. Actually Fenerbahce is the favorite for this game but Luiz Gustavo and Rodrigues can't play in this match. Also Lemina has announced that he can't play for Galatasaray tonight.

Lets take a look for both team squads;
Muslera is undoubtedly the best goalkeeper of TSL. Altay is a good goalkeeper also but he is still very young and need some experience.
Galatasaray has no defence double and they are playing with Donk which is midfielder originally. I think Linnes will play left side and he couldn't play any match in this seasons first half. Still Galatasaray's defence line still seem a bit safer than Fenerbahce. Because Fenerbahce has only Serdar Aziz and Jailson is the midfield origin like Donk. Fenerbahce has bought Falette but we can't see him performance fully yet. I don't think he'll play this match. (at least 1st 11.)
As we know, Gustavo had a great performance with Kruse and Muriqi for Fenerbahce. But Galatasaray always changed their midfielder and keep searching best solution still.
And last Muriqi had a great preformance. He is playing well. And Galatasaray fans still don't know that who will play this night for forward. Adem? He is offensive midfielder. Falcao? He just came back from injury...

Will be interesting tonight.

Oh wow what a game! After more than 2 decades of not winning a single game in Kadikoy, Galatasaray finally managed to get the 3 points today. It is both a historical result for the implications of not being able to win for so long, but at the same time this game turned Galatasaray as one of the leading candidates for championship once again after starting the year so bad. After they were eleminated from the Champions League there must be some sort of switch turned on in the locker room and ever since that moment Galatasaray has been playing amazingly. Fenerbahce on the other hand has played very well at the start of the season and looked like they moved beyond last years bad performence but for the past weeks they have been losing constantly, I think they are on a bad streak but have the talent to recover eventually.

As I said this morning. Galatasaray had a squad advantages. And Galatasaray made it!
Blood pressure was very high during the match. And the referee was under pressure for too long. We can say that Galatasaray deserved the victory which came years later.

Now Galatasaray has good advantages. However, Galatasaray has a very challenging fixture. In the next 3 weeks, they have matches with 2 different teams claiming championship. (Beşiktaş and Sivasspor)

Basaksehir is winning Kasibasa with 1-0 and I think that they are going to get the win in this game.
Kasibasa is not the opponent who is going to turn the game upside down and in the end win it. Most probably Basak is going to score a second goal instead of conceding one.

Kasımpaşa has not been performing well for more than a year. Last year, they lost 2 important players in the mid transfer season. And I think they still can't replace it. And because of the deteriorated cadre structure, they still have a hard time performing well. Well, Basaksehir should have win this game already.

Besiktas won last night.

And this week is so important for championship anymore.

Today

Trabzonspor - Rizespor
Antalya - Fenerbahce

Tomorrow

Galatasaray - Genclerbirligi
Ankaragucu - Sivasspor

Monday

Basaksehir - Gaziantep

This 5 games will be great.

What is your opinion?

Last week Galatasaray took a big advantage.
So, who will take the good results?

My favorite teams are Trabzon and Galatasaray.

Just as i have stated earlier, the turkish league remains the most exciting and most competitive league in europe this season.
The top teams there are inconsistent and it remains who will win the trophy.

06:00   Gaziantep FK? - ?Trabzonspor
06:00   Goztepe? - ?Istanbul Basaksehir
09:00   Fenerbahce? - ?Denizlispor

With previous match statistic, do you think there will be more goals this weekend ?
I think both teams will score, with 3 matches drawing.

What do you think ?

I am rooting for Basaksehir to win the league come the end of the season

It remains an interesting scene in the turkish league this year, with Trabzonspor regaining the top spot over the weekend  and also on same point with Basaksehir.

And also, do we not have turkish league spectators on the forum lol  ?

Now that the ban is effective on most europe aside turkey, can we discuss potential turkish league champions ?

Now obviously Turkish league will get more attention, because it's one of few league which didn't stopped to play.
I'm not Turkish football expert, but from what I saw, Basaksehir looks strong, it's very solid team. It's strange to see Fenerbahche far away from Europa zone, but IIRC, they had some financial problems and their squad isn't as good as ut used to be.
But I think it's too early to talk potential Champions, because tomorrow UEFA most likely will stop all leagues in continent.

I want to inform everyone that the turkish league has equally joined the rest of europe by suspending their league amidst the pandemic around the world.
The suspension though was after a farce between Nigerian international John Mikel Obi, who made a post on social media stating his refusal to play amidst the pandemic and reiterating the desire to move down to his family.

He had his contract terminated by Trabonzspor in a decision creating different opinions in the turkish league.
IS Mikel right to refuse to play ? is trabonzpor supposed to support player refusal or not ?

And the turkish league officials, did they handle the matter well ?

Lets join the discussion

I am not a fan of Turkish league but the decisions of Nigerian football player was straightforwards and clear. The health comes first and the football should'n be only for the profit. The Turkish league is famous with the dark fixed games like all other leagues but the decision of the Trabzonspor clearly shows the intention of the operating as independent soccer team.

As a result, the teleconference held together with Turkey Football Federation and clubs, the decision was made about the status of Turkey 2019-2020 Super League competition.

* The remaining matches will start on June 12 and will be completed after the 8-week program. It was announced that this decision was also taken unanimously in 18 teams in the league. In addition, the president of the federation announced that 7 teams offered not to fall from the league this year and that the next year's super league competitions should be played with 21 teams.

I look forward to the start of the matches again. I really missed the watch sport activities.

Trabznospor were banned from UEFA competitions (Champions or Europa league) for one year for failling to reach financial targets:

Interesting that they are now in 1st place in Super League, so they are in similar situation like Man City. Trabznospor already announced that they will appeal.

As the league with Turkey began to be played this week as spectators.  The fans showed great interest in the matches on the first and second days.  When we look at the results of the ratings, we can see that this interest is very high.  Speaking according to this data, if the matches were not played without spectators, there would probably be no seats left in the stands.  I follow the matches with excitement and I wonder how Galatasaray, the team I am holding, will perform in the remaining part of the league.

Due to the fact that unexpected pandemic hit the world, I think this season should not be counted at all. Closed the thread.
