Title: hash rate drop Post by: dmurph on March 30, 2011, 10:03:31 PM So I just bought a Radeon 6850 which was happily churning out a good ~200 Mh/s. After a day or so of running, it's now running at a top speed of ~70 Mh/s. I've had the fan manually on fully speed and it's definitely not overheated. I've quit all programs as well, and the catalyst center shows 100% activity. Any idea why this happened? Did I blow one of the gpus?
edit: with a second restart, I'm now getting ~200 again, but it fluctuates a whole lot. strange Title: Re: hash rate drop Post by: xenon481 on March 30, 2011, 10:34:21 PM Did I blow one of the gpus? There's only one GPU in a 6850. Title: Re: hash rate drop Post by: dmurph on March 30, 2011, 10:38:12 PM whoops, yeah you're right
Title: Re: hash rate drop Post by: snedie on March 30, 2011, 10:53:16 PM It has probably clocked itself into 2D mode, launch a 3D application (A Game Etc) and it should go back into 3D speeds.

Perhaps you should look for other ways to express your feelings. Maybe going out on you or not powerful enough. |
