Title: Bitcoin in 2020?

Most people including me say the same thing because there are too much expectations about Bitcoin halving in 2020. When the block rewards of miners will be cut by half on halving, it is expected to effect the Bitcoin price in a very positive way.

Yes, everyone is believing that halving will cause positive result just like what it did for the past years. You can start comparing on how much it increased after the event. I'm also hoping for that but let's all wait and see if the same effect would come.

Seven months to go.

Possibly not early in year we'll see a lot of price bumps, the halving events won't be happening very early on, around May, I believe.

I also don't reckon we'll see a lot of adoption in the future, we are going to see a lot of focus placed on stablecoins and the government created crypto-currencies, but not on unstable options like Bitcoin.

In 2020, I reckon a huge focus is going to be on DEX's, especially with the issues we are seeing that are emerging out of centralized options.

Yes, there are many who think bitcoin will rise in 2020 because of halving, I personally believe that without halving too
bitcoin will experience a price increase in 2020. Many factors make bitcoin stronger and the price will slowly rise. One factor
is that more countries in the world are adopting bitcoin in the lives of their people. And also the launching facebook crypto
which is libra could be the reason why bitcoin prices will soar high. Maybe there is no correlation because libra is a stable coin,
different from bitcoin. But I have my own belief that libra will make bitcoin rise. just see how bitcoin develops in 2020.

We are not sure about this but hopefully the halving will make a big pump next year. Bitcoin is the gold of our era and in time it will rise without any limit, a lot of hodlers are very optimistic they support bitcoin from bottom to top and that can also help the price up. The new ath will be made with a very much convincing volume from the buyers.

When Lambo? when Moon? LOL. Too early to say that Bitcoin will rise in early 2020, halvening is in May if I'm not mistaken, however, don't expect that the price will shoot up overnight. Everyone should be patience and wait for months or even years to see the price going into another all time high. You also have to understand that everything is based on the law of supply and demand. So obviously, when there is huge demand in the next coming years then the price could shoot up, but no one has the crystal ball to see when it's going to happen so you have to wait and let the ecosystem flow.

It's no question that bitcoin, and other crypto would become more popular as time passes by. We see continuous adoption by providers and retailers, even by some governments. The next halving would also occur estimated by 2020, so higher chances are it would create another pump in the prices. This is due to its increased scarcity/rarity, slower generation of blocks that provide new BTC, decreasing supply whilst maintaining high demand would likely increase the prices. People would also start to hodl more, refusing to sell their bitcoins because of its high value. Other miners may also give up, making it harder for mining pools to generate new blocks, potentially increasing the price because supply cannot keep up with the demand.

Probably it will happen and maybe it will happen after the halving and price could reach not more than the ATH but it will stabilize the value between the range of $15k - $18K. And that is why it is important to have more bitcoin and best way to accumulate is to buy and sell some of the altcoins that is active and has big volumes.

Better to buy more while it is cheap because there is n way going back just like the last time it goes down below $3K. Also it will give us a lot of profit and really goos for long tterm holding.

Many people are expecting that the next halving will cause the next bull-market, and many believe in the parabolic cycle. We cannot assure that 2020 is the year that it will occur but a lot of people are positive about it, that is why people are starting to accumulate bitcoin while the price is cheap.

Title: Re: Bitcoin in 2020?

for the circulation of bitcoin I think there are many reasons that can trigger people to use bitcoin, one of which is to use bitcoin, all transactions become more convenient and faster and guaranteed efficiency, so if in 2020 many people use bitcoin as a transaction then the price of bitcoin can be very expensive and I'm sure that will happen.

2020 is the block halving year so don't expect something big to happen just because of that event. If bitcoin is a cycle, previous halving historical graph says 500 days before we see ATH on the first one, from it's lowest low and then 1000 days during the said halving.

So it might take longer to see another ATH after the schedule halving in 2020. Lowest price is $3k in 2018 so that will be the starting point as to how much parabolic rise we're going to see.

okay okay okay
Everyone knows that the bitcoin halving is going to happen next year. Don't think that the event will make bitcoin rise in value... the hot hand fallacy. Just because the patterns show that it has happened in the past doesn't necessarily mean it will happen in the future. Maybe because it is so well known now it is already priced in the market.
The price of bitcoin in terms of USD value will increase if demand increases. This can happen in many sorts of ways... political uncertainty, current fiat monetary issues, capital controls imposed by governments, etc...
Or maybe the newly imposed QE of the Fed, ECB, and other central banks will create another boost in markets which in turn causes asset prices to increase, stocks could reach all time highs again, the housing market could continue its bull run, and even things like precious metals could reach new highs. With so much available cheap credit investors will be looking for good assets to "invest" in and many could flock to crypto and being that Bitcoin is king we could see all time highs in BTC as well.
We have never seen anything like this before in monetary systems at such a global scale, anything could happen. One thing I do predict is Bitcoin still has a major battle ahead. I believe the US government will eventually try to ban Bitcoin (as they have with gold bullion in the past) once it becomes a threat to the US dollar. Remember those who control the currency control the people. Governments will not just stand by and let a free currency flourish without a fight.
I am a huge believer in BTC and I hope for the best. I do not trade and I try to buy whatever I can with bitcoin to contribute to the ecosystem. I just regularly buy bitcoin every week, and pay my cell phone bill, VPN service, internet bill, merchandise, etc. Most people just hodl to "get rich" which imho is stupid. The best way to help bitcoin become mainstream is to actually use it as a medium of exchange. I hope 2020 will be a great year for BTC as most of my net worth is held in BTC and I'd like to buy me a Tesla next year... idk why so many people talk about Lambo's, bitcoin is the future, why not buy the cars of the future?...

Hy also!  ;D Is that all there is to it? Actually, we've already landed on the moon when Bitcoin hit $100. Right now we have passed through it and are gone outside the milky way galaxy.

More and more people are familiar with crypto and the digital world. But how many, or perhaps few, of these people are looking at Bitcoin and crypto beyond their price in USD?

Bitcoin halving in 2020 is the most awaited event for crypto lovers. But I'm still not convinced that this will cause the price of bitcoin and other altcoins to rise again. Because ICOs were also heavily involved in the past, prices of other altcoins were rising. But let's see, maybe by the end of the year we will see bitcoin prices rise slightly.

The ratio of people knowing bitcoin to the number of people using it is very low. This difference will change slowly with more and more adoption of bitcoin. As stated already bitcoin has touched the moon when there isn't any expectation or prediction about that particular price. Now the scenario is different, people keep on predicting based on various factor and important is the increasing usage.

Not this year or the previous year, long back itself there is big expectation over the year 2020. There is no concrete reason other than the halving, but almost every cryptocurrency enthusiasts and experts who are into the market used to put forth this statement. Let's hope for the best and experience good growth.

Not gonna be in early 2020. If you're talking about the Bitcoin halving in 2020, then probably the price will skyrocket on the last quarter of 2020 or early in 2021. If you follow the trend from the first halving in 2012, the price had grown 100x the year after the halving, and the same goes from the 2016 halving, where we had the whopping $20,000 Bitcoin ATH in 2017.

Actually I am okay right now. There is many prediction on what will happen on the year 2020 but we must be stick first on what will happen on this year 2019 or what will be happen before this year ends. Bitcoin will arise from it's downfall because of the halving that is doing by the community. This would probably the reason why the bitcoin will rise on the year 2020 because of the halving and also because the bitcoin's stock are not enough so that it would probably going up.

When you get mature and 10years old a platform then you can expect something special, so it's not about a big expectation, I also think Bitcoin will rise in the coming years, but it also true that you can't expect anything whatever you've seen or observe, I agree with you that people are becoming familiar with this platform more and more it also should consider that a lot of people lost huge money by the price volatility, not only that but also in the ICO, many people didn't earn anything, so it's too early to speculate regarding this issue, I also hope that Bitcoin price will rise and it will help us to make something special in the coming days.

Very useful information. It's true that this topic has often been discussed, but for me, it's always interesting. Read the responses of other members about their optimism on halving day. This is the moment we've all been waiting for.
https://i.postimg.cc/t4mCSg6p/halving-btc-time.jpg

This is a public secret. Halving day as a standard concept of bitcoin, where the reward per block miner is reduced by half. Logically, the supply decreases in proportion to its addition, while bitcoin is increasingly popular and many investors are increasingly interested, meaning higher demand. If so, according to economic law the price will increase.

Nice explanation you got there mate, the history of Bitcoin market may repeat and if most of the crypto people is following this trend then we may not experience a bullish run on early 2020 because investor will hoard their money and wait until the halving is finished though the market is so unpredictable that anything could happen in a short period of time.

In the coming time bitcoin adoption will increase as most of the prestigious institutions have started to accept btc and crypto and blockchain technology in their system like United Nations so prices are going to rise soon and we might see another bull run hitting the market by the end of 2019.Moreover halving is coming next year which will reduce the supply and only 2 million btc will be mined in next 10 years which will create shortage in supply and prices will be to the moon.So just hodl and see growth.

There is no assurance that bitcoin will really go to the moon in the year 2020. The main reason why we expect for another bull run is the bitcoin halving that will happen in the May of 2020. As of now many people already recognize the worth of cryptocurrency and many people started their investing in different cryptocurrency especially in bitcoin. I really hope that in the year 2020 will pump and I do not want see any bear market on that year.

That's better for you, for reasons that you believe in.

And one more thing you have to be diligent to read the bitcoin news in the media every day and also analyze the charts.

I want to ask the OP, have you been investing bitcoin right now to wait for the price of USD ......... in 2020 ....!

if you have invested it you win.
and if not, defeat and deep regret for you, when you know it.

Actually, there's no one can exactly predict the reason why Bitcoin will rise besides, we don't know when it will happen. The only thing I am sure of is that Bitcoin will pump but soon hence, this is the right time buy so that you can get a high return if uptrend comes.
Popularity is also factor that could affect in fluctuations of crypto alongside with adaptation of big countries.

I don't think bitcoin will rise to the moon by 2020 because until now the price is not increasing and because of that many investors are now afraid to invest more and the whales are continuing to manipulate the market. They think that they might lose huge amount of money if bitcoin will not increase unlike before 2 years ago that bitcoin price reaches $20k. Let us just encourage them and let them know about the next halving come on that year and probably will give good hype. Accumulating is the best choice as of now.

A increase in adoption does not neccesarilly guarantee a increase in the price. Let's say for instance 1 000 new people started to buy $10 worth of bitcoins, do you think that will increase the price? No, it will be like a ant trying to f#$% a elephant...  ::)

You need two things to happen for the price to go to the Moon, namely :

1. A significant amount of new people with lots of money must start buying more coins.
2. The owner of the current coins, must not sell large amounts of coins for the supply to diminish.

It is all about supply and demand and you cannot just expect the price to go to the Moon, if only one side of this market is stimulated.   ::)

There are going to be 3 things that are likely going to be huge in crypto-land next year.

1. The halving event which will likely mean we see a huge change in price next year, likely for the better. We might see huge market growth during that period and I believe it's being estimated to happen early next year.

2. What's coming after IEOS? It does seem like exchanges are the next big thing with how many new ones are out there, we will see great development on that front - possible popular DEX coming?

3. More mainstream adoption, today, Amazon has just announced its own acceptance.

This has happened in 2016 the value of bitcoin has risen to its peak in 2017. I hope this 2020 halving day will be the same as in 2016 which can make bitcoin skyrocket to $ 20k per btc. hopefully this is realized this is the hope of all of us.

I dont expect too much with bitcoins value. I dont see it mooning but I am sure that it will recover its value back to 10k dollars by the end of the year. In early 2020 my prediction is that bitcoin will hit  13k to 15k us dollars. I no longer target huge increase in bitcoin. In my thought bitcoin will increase its value slowly and in a very realistic manner. We no longer want some hype and bubble but what we want is realistic increase in value due to increase of users and adoption of big companies.

For several years, many have said that bitcoin will reach the moon. But the question is, what does the phrase “reach the moon” mean for each of us? For some, this is a crazy high price for bitcoin. For me personally, these are global changes in the global economy and its inevitable transformation into a new format and decentralization. As for the price of cryptocurrency, sooner or later it will lose its volatility after the end of the next bubble.

You have your point but that is not enough reason for bitcoin to moon in early 2020 because not all the people who knows or familiar with bitcoin are going to invest with it.

Demand will make the bitcoin price to moon but if the big whales will move in early 2020 then it is enough reason for bitcoin price to rise. But early 2020 is not a good choice as there are plenty of celebrations in that months but let's just hope that it will moon as early as possible.

Adoptions should be the very best thing that will happened to this crypto currency, Once the market appreciates the usefulness of bitcoin, demands will lift the value up. Though aside from this adoptions more updates will also helps the increase of bitcoin value, Incoming halving also play the big role as it have good impact to the investors who believes that the same patterned will be followed and the cycle will be the same from the last previous halving.

Not necessarily because more and more persons are getting to know about it, but because of major acceptance and adoption, and the upcoming halving that will see block reward reduced to 6.25BTC per block.

There is a lot of speculation regarding the price, the good thing is that most are positive. I think in 2020, btc will rise and maybe around halving it will test the ATH of $20,000. The upper limit for the price of BTC is always up for debate. Will BTC touch $100,000 in a year, highly unlikely, but it can definitely touch around $30,000-50,000.

Also I think the problem is not reaching a certain threshold limit, but the problem is holding its position there. last time when Bitcoin touched $20,000, a lot of interest was created, and people who had no idea what BTC was, started getting in BTC, and then the price dropped, Hence a whole lot of people lost a lot of money because they feared that the price will go down to $1,000, as a result whatever interest was created by the price rise, went away with the price drop.

We can't be sure about that  :-\ Remember bitcoin is a very volatile asset and it can go boom because of many factors around it.
The resistance can be broke down if many whales will go all together like in 2017. Bitcoin is slowly recovering the trust of the users who got a fail trade
In 2017, It might get hype and rise up its value. It can be possible to cross over $10k next year or even this year.

I would really bet on Bitcoin's rise next year due to its halving. However, it's better that we should not expect too much about them. There is an old post on Reddit, in which he predicted that Bitcoin will go up high to $16k within October. However, we are still down below $8k and just few days left for this prediction to be correct. He was right about a couple of his predictions earlier this year.

No matter what, we have to be ready. It's better that we should not expect that it will happen, so that we will not be disappointed later on. Our emotions are running high on Bitcoin's price, as the market itself is crazy and unpredictable.

Let's just see if John Freakin' McAfee would live up to his promise in eating his d*** if BTC doesn't reach $1 million by the end of 2020. Donald Trump would even "ban" Bitcoin if it reaches $100k.

I agree with you. I think Bitcoin will break a new record in 2020. I was expecting it to happen in this year but it doesn't seem that way and we are close to the end of the year. Halving will be very helpful for a new record price in 2020.

Well this is a no substance starting post, just because more people use bitcoin, it doesn't mean they'll buy a substantial amount, don't forget that bitcoin is extremely divisible.
No, it's basically a generic shit post masquerading as a topic for discussion.

We're not off to a good start for 2020 if bitcoin keeps dropping like it has been, but we'll have to see what the price is come Jan. 1st.  My best guesstimate is that it'll be much the same as it is now, in the $7400 range.  Not a bad price, but not the moonshot that most bitcoiners are hoping for.

Some part of me thinks Bakkt had something to do with the recent market volatility because the two things coincided very closely, but nobody seems to be able to link the two things with any good evidence.  I imagine there were some traders on Bakkt who were betting against bitcoin with options and thus drove the price lower...somehow.  I don't completely understand what's going on with that exchange or how they operate, but the trading that takes place there must have some influence on the price.

I have no hopes left about Bitcoin price to rise dramatically for this year. I am keeping my hopes up for 2020. Some people say that 2019 was Bitcoin's year as the price jumped to 12k dollars in June but I think Bitcoin price will boom and reach at least 25k dollars in 2020.

The fact that many people are familiar with bitcoin does not mean that these people will be buying large amounts of bitcoin so that it causes the price of bitcoin to increase a lot. People can be many and buy little bitcoin and the price does not increase much. other people may buy few bitcoins for just hold for many years and never buy again. do not listening analysts who make absurd predictions

I doubt it will go "to the moon", but an uptrend is expected prior to the halving, which is only a few months away...

Yes, both more people know more about Bitcoin, and bitcoin production is rapidly decreasing, as per design. Most of the coins that will ever be are already in the market, and new ones are only going to come out more and more slowly; mining will be reduced dramatically over the next years because of that. Depending on how steep the price rises, this might be delayed somewhat (as 2016 did), but it won't ever remain constant, every passing day makes large mining less profitable, and more risky.

There is a decrease in the price again now and it happened so quickly. It seems like we are still in bear market and it is annoying not to know how much time it will continue like this. I am expecting big things from the price in 2020 and it can really be Bitcoin's year literally.

The increased adoption and use of cryptocurrencies would definitely bring about an increase in price but the pivot of actually resides in bitcoin halving in the month of May. This is what is going to bring about a possible moon price of bitcoin again. Let's not forget also that about 85% of the total supply of bitcoin have been mined and this is also another factor which would contribute to another all time high rise of bitcoin if all things being equal.

It's okay if you are not convinced but mostly are because of the effect that it showed before. It may not be that high as we've seen and not on instant form but everyone has that assumption that it will be bigger this time.

The involvement of ICO last bull run was for real and they were one of the reasons why the market has been so high. But we are seeing a different scenario this time and we're going to actually see the power and influence of bitcoin after the halving.

I think being famous and popular should not be the only basis of success but the actual adaptation of the people that they actually invested to it. No doubt Bitcoin is popular but the people who supported Bitcoin investment is now diminishing because of the on going bearish market therefore if this trend will continue until next year then we should.not expect an ATH on 2020.

With the incoming bitcoin halving by next year, it's more possible that it will create a positive reaction on bitcoin price making its bearish season come to an end. Bitcoin price will soar high again that will give more benefits for those investors who chose to stay in bitcoin even if its price keeps crashing all the time.

No one can really predict the accurate future of the market value of  Bitcoin. 2020 has its own story to be unfolded for Bitcoin. You just have to take advantage now rather than thinking about what the future of bitcoin will be. Personally, I don't really see Bitcoin rising to the moon in 2020, its price will rise and fall as it does throughout every year.

Point well made, we can't assure things since things usually change and we can't do anything about it. We just have to stay positive because bitcoin never failed on giving us opportunities, let's just wait and be patient. We have different way of thinking if they have positive or negative thoughts about it then let them because we have different perspective. Everyone is talking about a bull market for Bitcoin next year, primarily spearheaded by the Bitcoin halving event, but I don't trust any of these sources that always talk about a Bitcoin rise, then all we see is more and more people leverage trading futures and using sites like Bybit and Bitfiniex, Bitmex etc to short Bitcoin, because for them it's the easiest way to take profits without having to even buy one Bitcoin. I don't trust anything or anyone anymore and the only way Bitcoin can ever really go up is if most people buy Bitcoin and take it out of circulation, so ti becomes a very rare asset. The other reason it might HAVE to go up is because the cost of mining it will increase due to the halving, so in effect that might also force the price to rise a little. but we shall see.

Of course we will not stop from bitcoin promotion because it's still the best method that bitcoin will be hailed as a global currency in the future. With more big merchants accepting bitcoin each year, it's very possible that bitcoin will reach its main goal in the future. And with the incoming bitcoin halving by next year, it will add more to the popularity of bitcoin.

There's a lot of things to expect in the year 2020, and in that coming year Bitcoin will still the cryptomarket leader according to experts, and possible the price will be times 3 of its price today, but still that's just the prediction, we still don't have the control over the price, as we don't know what will gonna happen in the coming months.

We're almost at the end of 2019, and it will be hard for bitcoin to reach that point. You didn't even include any explanation how'd you think of that. Your reason is obvious though it doesn't really ensure that it'll surge the price.

Hy all. How are you. Bitcoin will rise to the moon in early 2020, do you know the reason? One reason is that more and more people are familiar with crypto and the digital world. Thanks. 8)
There are really a lot of predictions that bitcoin would recover it's price up to 20,000 USD again, but who knows ? Maybe it could be true and all of our bitcoin holdings would be much bigger. I also think if bitcoin would increased it's price before the end of this year 2019, it could decreased it's price again starting from the year of 2020 because a lot of people would start selling their bitcoin again, just like the same incident that happened in the year of 2017 and 2018.

This could also be a possible reason, but don't think it will happen right away. But I think this is the most likely reason, Bitcoin Halving will happen in the year 2020. The price of bitcoin will surely increase as it approaches because many crypto users today believe that Bitcoin's price will rise once halving is complete. And this is also what I hope will happen.

The increase in bitocon is the hope of everyone involved in it, and news about an increase in bitcoin is predicted to occur in 2020, and the news has been heard from the end of 2018 where the price of bitcoin has fallen dramatically.
yes hopefully the news will really happen and bitcoin will increase gradually from the end of 2019 to reach the highest price in 2020.

Most people including me say the same thing because there are too much expectations about Bitcoin halving in 2020. When the block rewards of miners will be cut by half on halving, it is expected to effect the Bitcoin price in a very positive way.
I personally also think like that. is another reason if more and more people recognize bitcoin as a trigger for the rise in bitcoin prices. in my opinion the main reason is halving, like last 2016. that was the beginning of a big price change when bitcoin completed its halving. and I hope that will happen again in 2020.

Interesting but please know almost all people think it’s gonna happen but sad to say having a lot of people investing in bitcoin is not the only factor that can affect the market price. Yes, a lot is now investing and interested in bitcoin but with new people entering cryptocurrency a high percentage of people doing FOMO or doing unnecessary buy and sell of coins most especially when the price is at it’s lowest. It’s good to be positive but don’t get to confident with your prediction because you might only get disappointed.

In every high returns we expect, we should also expect for the risks that may occur. Hoping for the best of bitcoin in 2020.

That is no reason to me because the gap between now and early next year is not very much for us to just suddenly conclude that bitcoin will start rising because of the familiarity of people to it. When I saw this post, what I expected was to see the exact reason why you think people will get more familiar to it between now and December, or early next year.

For those who believe that bitcoin increase will be around middle of next year still has some solid facts to make, they believe that the halving off bitcoin which is meant to happen at May next year has a very great impact on the value of bitcoin, and I also have this felling that Ethereum upgrade then will make the ICO market to start coming back to light again.

Are you sure about that? Well, you have a point that people will recognize bitcoin and crypto more, that's for sure. But I don't really expect that it will rise to the moon by early 2020. We're almost at the end of 2019, and it will be hard for bitcoin to reach that point. You didn't even include any explanation how'd you think of that. Your reason is obvious though it doesn't really ensure that it'll surge the price.
In the current situation, optimism is needed that there will be a real change to bitcoin. indeed at the end of 2019 there are only a few months left but optimism will change at the end of this year and continue until 2020. This can be seen for the past few months bitcoin can quickly go down but not below $ 7K and soon crawl up again. unfortunately not yet able to break the $ 15K figure.

Next year will be moment where bitcoin back to higher price, many prediction with 2020 become bitcoin moment raise to higher price with many investor will be bitcoin investment assets, many country will adopt bitcoin as legal transaction payment and give positive price for bitcoin to raise up on higher price, now you have chance seeing bitcoin with lower price and lets invest much money in bitcoin and altcoin for your future assets.

Yes I hope it too. Soon it will go to the moon again! I can see the little chances now that bitcoin in maybe Q2 or Q3 of next year will rise up again I have no doubt to it. I hope that altcoin will go as bitcoin , in that case we can see the green in our portfolio.

yes I agree with you with the increasing number of users and countries that adopt bitcoin and blockchian will make bitcoin prices more expensive in the future. especially in 2020 when bitcoin is halving. when halving day reward per block will be reduced by half. this reduction will have an impact on bitcoin demand and supply. many predict the price of bitcoin to rise. this is the moment we are waiting for bitcoin to go to the moon.

Bitcoin halving is the most likely reason for us to see the bull run again. The bull run is what people are looking forward to as it is now based on most speculations on bitcoin's price hike. This is similar to what happened in 2017 where bitcoin prices rose dramatically resulting in more people investing in it and also being reported on televisions around the world.

I expect it to raise and to be more stable than it is now.

My predictions would go around $15000, mainly because more and more people are using it both as a payment method and as a safe investment, which creates more demand.

Part of the reason though but I think the halving is what I'm thinking will be responsible for that. Again, since after the ATH, bitcoin has not had a good ride. Just maybe it could be the year for another high.

It's quite proven true as the miners will not accept that bitcoin will be sold in a very few amount only, in fact, there are many reason to consider when thinking about how bitcoin will be in 2020, the chinese news concerning market adoption is one of it. If China will continue to utilize bitcoin in their country, I am pretty sure US will do the same thing, as cryptocurrency is also a race where country will strive to be the top among others.

Every time I always hope that the price of Bitcoin can go up high, and repeat the end of 2017 last year. Hopefully the more people who know Bitcoin, the higher their interest will be to invest in Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. Because many of them are already familiar with Bitcoin but don't want to invest, so it doesn't affect changes in the price of Bitcoin.

I’m not saying it’s impossible that the price will skyrocket by 2020 but with all the manipulation going on and a lot of FOMO and also a lot of investors losing faith with bitcoin, I guess it will be a bit hard for bitcoin to rise to the moon but who knows, I just hope one big miracle will happen and the price will indeed rise to the moon, let’s just wait and see.

I've also heard that bitcoin is going to the moon in early 2020, and everyone who holds bitcoin always puts their hopes up like the price of bitcoin in 2017, and what I think is the reason that can drive the price of bitcoin to peak in 2020.
Nothing is impossible in bitcoin but due to its volatility the market may act strange. We may see the price of bitcoin going to the moon for a couple of weeks but expect already a high dropping rate when that time comes. As almost everyone who holds bitcoin will going to dump it as soon as they see the new ATH of bitcoin. 2020 might be the 2017 that we are waiting for so long.

For me, it still depends on the price, acceptance of huge companies & establishments, legality, and to those influential people. I am also hoping that bitcoin's price will skyrocket at the end of the year or the first quarter of the year 2020. Yes it is, I believe in it too, I believe that we will have a good start from the first beginning of the year up to the end, especially that we will have Bitcoin halving again next year.

The number of users increases as people trusted more Bitcoin as they got tired with scammed ICO projects.

This is such a vague assumption.

There isn't much buzz around the world about crypto that price can go up just like that. Popularity is increasing but it isn't brining volume with it. People know about crypto but they are not really investing in it. I think there will be a pump in 2020. But that will be because of the upcoming Bitcoin halving. As this always have been the case. Bitcoin halving brings pump in the price.

There are still more people that are supporting bitcoin or buying it even if the market is on a downfall because they still believe that one day bitcoin can comeback to its high price reaching twenty thousand dollars last 2017. I also hope that it will happen soon because it is a good chance for us to earn a lot of money again. I feel that it will happen soon since the price of bitcoin is recovering as we have seen the price right now. I wish also that the other crypto or the market will recover again soon. So that every ICO will be successful because there are lots of investors supporting every ICO if the market is on stable state.

It is too hard to say it will be like $20000 in 2020 for its current price and situation now. But I wish I could but more before it comes, if people continue to spread the good news about bitcoin like, more and more countries accept bitcoin as one of their currency I think it would be better and many people would like that, demand gets higher .

Don't just believe what you have been read/hear in the internet, everyone can make a prediction like that but no one could make it come true since it is all just a speculation. Some say that the 20k will happen this year while some say it may happen next year.  It just means that none of us really know what would be the future of Bitcoin.

None of us know what will really happen in the crypto market but we have an occasion where the market always replicate the previous trend (such as market correction and blood bath after halving) which is the reason why I would agree to the prediction which was said by the bitcoin price expert. However, the price range shouldn't be expected at the Q1 of next year though.

Even though governments may create their own cryptocurrencies (look at China), the people aren't necessarily going to use their national currency if they see bitcoin as a better option. As nations create cryptocurrencies, familiarity and exposure will be granted to other cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin. The crypto space will definitely grow, and people will not be so scared of a digital currency if nations are using one.

Time will tell everything, exactly how much bitcoin will be used for trading, buying sales..., but I have a feeling that it will hold stability at $ 10,000 and that this will be some normal thing. Of course nothing has to mean anything is possible, bitcoin is a miracle, and a miracle is a variable phenomenon.
As for the overall situation for btc in 2020, the year will pass without major problems. I don't believe in the low price of bitcoin, especially when looking at other coins.

I am also one of the people that is very optimistic that bitcoin halving would be having quite an effect on the bitcoin value come next year, though the thing about the halving is that it will play a role, but what will play a role more is the fomo, the believe of people that halving will have an effect is what makes them to start making lots of deposit for this big event and this will surely make the marketcap to increase and grow.

Aside the halving of bitcoin, I am really believing many things to contribute to the growth of bitcoin next year, Ethereum is one that will play a very big role in this and some other project like Facebook if they are allowed to be released will play a big role, although I see it affecting altcoins more, but whatever affects altcoins will surely affect bitcoin too positively.

Knowing about bitcoin and buying it are two different things. The more there will be “real” owners of bitcoins and the more bitcoins will be in demand on the market, the more chances there will be to fly to the moon.
What do you mean by real owners of bitcoin, does that mean that they are fake and AI accumulating bitcoin  ::). All the bitcoin that are mined will end up with miners and they already spend millions to earn that profit and anyone can join the network as there is no restrictions. You need a major rocket fuel to reach the moon  :P.

I think he was trying to say about there are some happening about bitcoin and that's why the price rise up. I don't know what it is but I also shocked what happen so I am trying to read some happening near 2020 to observe what happen.
You need to follow the market and the development too, i am shocked to know that you are not aware about halving every four years even with over a year in this forum you should know these basics. :P

In my opinion, the bitcoin market price was so volatile and it could go down and up in the market easily. I think in 2020 the bitcoin market price will pump and the standard price could be 15000$- 20000$ in this number bitcoin could play its market value. A lot of news and information are online and also the bitcoin community was also getting bigger and bigger as time passes so I think easily the bitcoin market will increase in the coming years. The bitcoin era in 2017 when bitcoin reaches its highest history price over 20000$ and goes down I think in 2020 up to 2025 it will be enough for the market to recover and attract a lot of investors since the bitcoin potential was already demonstrated in the past years.

Yes, everyone is believing that halving will cause positive result just like what it did for the past years. You can start comparing on how much it increased after the event. I'm also hoping for that but let's all wait and see if the same effect would come.

Seven months to go.
While I was positive about the bitcoin halving and also kept thinking the same as others that the bitcoin halving will increase the price of bitcoin, I have now realized that too many people are waiting for the same to occur which gives me an insight that if so many people are waiting for it to occur then chances are there it might not occur at all or even if it occurs then it will soon be disrupted since there will be many waiting for the price to increase just so that they can dump their load.

And everyone has learned the lesson that we should be keen on when we should sell and stop being greedy. That's why whenever we hit the all time high again it's either there will be some that will continue to keep for future holdings but a portion of their holdings will be no doubt to be sold.

Despite of that, just be prepared whatever comes.

I can't say that 2020 will definitely go up, but I will say that in the coming year the price of bitcoin will go up even more. This is based on the limited total supply of bitcoin but the demands are increasing. And all countries will eventually recognize and implement the blockchain technology in their respective countries. Of course this will increase the popularity of bitcoin which has become a pioneer in creating the first digital currency based on blockchain.

~snip~
While I was positive about the bitcoin halving and also kept thinking the same as others that the bitcoin halving will increase the price of bitcoin, I have now realized that too many people are waiting for the same to occur which gives me an insight that if so many people are waiting for it to occur then chances are there it might not occur at all or even if it occurs then it will soon be disrupted since there will be many waiting for the price to increase just so that they can dump their load.
Expect it to come.

If we are talking about hitting the all time high that's really difficult knowing a lot people are going to sell when there is a price pump. Just like what happened to the btc price when it touched the $10k figure. The only hope for btc to pump again and reach the ath is when a huge company or group of people who holds massive amount of money will buy btc or other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin halving may also trigger a supply demand due to the trend that will going to happen like the past two halving.

yes I think early 2020 should be bitcoin soon to the moon, in my country there are many seminars on crypto on the student bench because many out there are interested in crypto, therefore many communities in my country about bitcoin / crypto, hear that I also feeling happy.
Usability and scalability are the main problems bitcoin is facing today, but I can tell you that a HUGE amount of development is going on behind the scenes of the markets and next time it does run higher, the whole ecosystem will be far more user friendly and a lot cheaper to use. then If people start investing in bitcoin and bitcoin based transactions increase, then this trend can breathe live in Bitcoin and price rise up again faster than 2017. remember Bitcoin has been announced dead in the last 10 years many times and every time it comes back. so buy now and waiting for the run.

Too many times peoples are discussing the Bitcoin hype on next year. But everyone know it will raise further years so 2020 also growing well and Bitcoin is a volatile crypto currency so both pump and dump will happen on crypto market. I think once Bitcoin will legalised entire world everyone understand the Bitcoin potential it will continuously raise on future years.

When the FOMO and hype starts to kick in, it wouldn't be that difficult. We've got a bunch of events that's about to happen next year and that's likely to trigger every single investor to hop into bitcoin and start buying again.

And while we're talking about the ATH, there's this news that recently published.

Halving is one thing that everyone expected to support the rise of bitcoin and what exactly a bunch of events you refer to that would trigger investors into the crypto sphere?
Yes, tether is a controversy coin used for most of the world’s active traders into the crypto market instead of actual dollars in a bank account which complicated and risky. Tether being used in many transactions on the world’s top exchanges, which claimed the reason why bitcoin reach a fantastic price.

I believe the halving is already priced in but I also think that it will moon simply to get closer to fair value.

It will need a spark though in the form of some major economic or political incident like a big bank that the government bails out or some incident in the derivatives market. Something where the Fed fears a knock-on effect. Swiss Francs will pump but bitcoin will pump even higher!

There is ETH 2.0, Libra launching and Consumer App by Bakkt.

Bakkt to Launch Crypto ‘Consumer App’ in First Half of 2020 (https://www.coindesk.com/bakkt-to-launch-crypto-consumer-app-in-first-half-of-2020)

That's why it isn't just halving that will trigger the market although I'm very positive that it will be the most contributor of the next bull run.

Hy all. How are you. Bitcoin will rise to the moon in early 2020, do you know the reason? One reason is that more and more people are familiar with crypto and the digital world. Thanks. 8)

It is more like the bitcoin price will moon toward the end of the year 2020.
The bitcoin price is hard to sometimes predict but I think the bitcoin will moon between the third quarter to the fourth quarter of 2020.

With lots of people being optimistic in year 2020, I think there's a possibility that the market will be better.
There is not bull run yet, at least it did not happen for the last 2 years I guess, so we can think that next year is due for a big bull run, plus, we have the halving schedule next year where people are talking now that it will have a significant positive effect on the market based on its trend.

As for me, an improvement in 2020 is alright, for example if btc will end at $10,000 this year and it will end at $15 by next year, I think I'm okay with that as if we look at the movement its more stable and more attractive.

What develop are you talking on behind the scene? You saying about Lightning Network (LN)? If you are referring to block halvening, usually it happen every four years so I wouldn't say that it is a development.

If we goes on another bull run, then perhaps we will experience bottle necks and the fees will be high, however, I think with segwit and LN we can reduced, but it doesn't mean that we will eliminate it.

Yes, there are a lot of bitcoin obituaries around, but guess what, those haters will continue to bash bitcoin but we're going to be find. 2020 though will be big but I'm expecting 2021-2022 will be bigger.

We are though unable to predict exact prices of bitcoin for future but still we can make assumptions on the basis of its past market movements. But the halving has in past helped in the surge of bitcoin prices and same seems to happen by the mid or first quarter of 2020. The market is highly volatile for altcoins, they change drastically in hours but this is not the case with bitcoin. It takes time for showing some major change.

All the actions that happened in 2017 are collaborative effort of the whole holders to trust Cryptocurrency, that is why we had an all time high in 2017, I doubt the same action can be duplicated again, given that the price could crash again , so we prefer to wait and let see more developments and more people coming in again to give us a hint that it's ok to invest more again, this is the reason why price is moving slowly.

It's already clear that many have big expectations from 2020, similar like for 2017. However, it's very hard to predict the price movement and too big and exaggerated expectations could lead to big dissapointment.
In the first quarter I don't expect to see some bigger price changes and some higher price rise might happen in the second part of year but that is just guessing.

We are at a level where bitcoin is getting quite mainstream. That is what I am not really used to, I used to talk with people about my work and connections it has with bitcoin and so forth and most of the time I had to explain people what bitcoin is.

Sometimes I had to convince people that it is not related to darknet, that was a bad time because darknet people could buy drugs with bitcoin and even hire hitman to kill people and so forth which was really what people thought bitcoin was for but then that was closed (there are others but it got smaller in attention) and became more of a financial product that big financial companies use as well so now everyone knows about it so in 2020 we will be getting into even more mainstream with this halving and there could be more new people coming in.

in addition it is also possible that some new regulations related to the crypto world that will emerge in 2020 can bring changes to prices.

Yes, because with that situation at least there will be a big dump before finally getting a very positive change maybe after halving, no one knows for sure and all of that is just a prediction. So to stay consistent is the most important because the price drop may be even more shocking even though the pump will eventually happen and maybe will continue to surge higher to exceed that value.

Most people including me say the same thing because there are too much expectations about Bitcoin halving in 2020. When the block rewards of miners will be cut by half on halving, it is expected to effect the Bitcoin price in a very positive way.
You can't really price in the halving, it's impossible. The current value of bitcoin is a function of the current supply and demand. At the time of the halving the new supply issued to miners will be cut in half, and the miners are the ones who are most likely to sell their bitcoin because they need to pay the electric bill. All of a sudden they have less to sell, if the demand stays roughly the same at the time of the halving, the price will naturally increase over time.

That event is VERY hard to price in because the price of bitcoin at any given moment depends on the current number of buyers and sellers. Or think about it this way: If the halving DOESN'T increase price, a lot of miners will be forced out of "business" so to speak. That doesn't bode will for the health of bitcoin or the algorithm.

Situations like this should not be too panicked, prices will not completely drop a big dump, but I will only predict this is a good start for us, is it right to take action like this? because if the pump occurs in the next few weeks it will no longer go down like this.

if there is a big drop it means the market is being corrected, or there is a game before it rises higher usually there will be a decline, because many parties who want to buy bitcoin at a cheap price before pumping it. but I see that there won't be a big drop in prices.

The price didn't drop that bad, but it was too slow in rising. We didn't know what will happen next after the sudden fall occurs lately. Hopefully the correction will not take so long and put everything back in order. If these people want to purchase while it has cheaper price that's the best opportunity for them before the halving starts.

Halving is in 2020 so whoever says bitcoin will not make a huge leap is dead wrong. The discussion shouldn't be "will bitcoin go up in 2020" it should be more about how much it will go up. I am not a person who says numbers like $50k or $100k here and there because I do not believe that type of increase is easily done.

People do not realize the amount of money required to make a 100% jump when the price is close to 10 thousand dollars, sure from 100 dollars to 200 dollars was easy because it required very little amount of money but when it is from $10k to $20k it will require heaps of money and we do not have that kind of money in bitcoin world right now, sure we can but not right now. Hence, I feel like the max we will reach will be $20k at 2020 and that would make sense.

That is very correct. Previous halving events have triggered upward price motion, leading to suggestions that 2020 will be no different. Additional studies, notably the popular Stock-to-Flow model, have corroborated the theory that Bitcoin price must surge as the mining reward decreases. Obviously visible in the two last halvings. Funny most of the talks and arguments were the same when Bitcoin halved in 2016.

Comparing historical data the 2012 and 2016 halvings removed $302400 and $8,19 million per week from circulation respectively. 2020’s most dramatic halving will remove $50,4 million.

That is a lot of fuel to propel our rocket engine ;)

Well, I am after with this statement that bitcoin will be more famous than now in the future because day by day more people are involving and the increasing number of investments is causing the demand to be high. I hope in 2020 there will be new revolutions and this slow pumping procedure will become faster so the price will recover all dumps very soon.

Definitekt it will depends on the flow of the market and if its going up or down and that is why we need to always make sure that when the time will bitcoin's value rises then we already accumulate.

And its because it is very important making a long profit since the price of bitcoin will surely pumps up by next year.

don't think about years, think about a few hours or a few day, because at the moment the price of bitcoin has a 50:50,
if in 4 hours the price of bitcoin can survive at this level then the bull will come, if Bitcoin passes the price of $ 8500 we will see prices below it again which is $ 7,000, terrible

https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/935900326007328768

I have to go to psychics now to ask what will happen in the next year  ;D

Well, I am after with this statement that bitcoin will be more famous than now in the future because day by day more people are involving and the increasing number of investments is causing the demand to be high. I hope in 2020 there will be new revolutions and this slow pumping procedure will become faster so the price will recover all dumps very soon.
Don't expect too much, you must believe in bitcoin  ;D
bitcoin halving 2020 will make fewer printed bitcoins to 6.25 BTC per block from 12.5 BTC before, if demand is high and adoption is large enough, your grandmother knows that it will push the value of bitcoin prices up

Even bitcoin is already famous and has big name in digital currency industry. I'm sure thr price is still manipulated by the whales because the whales have got big amount of cryptocurrency so they will be able to control the price. Bitcoin halving in 2020 i'm sure it will make a big change in terms of price

What I am expecting during 2020 is that we reach 20k but that this time we reach that price in an orderly fashion and that we remain close to those levels from now on, the last time we reached that price was because of a bubble and it was not possible to sustain it after panic took control of the market, now we are tying to reach that price from a higher base price so it should be possible to remain at those levels for much longer during the next upward correction.

I think bitcoin will have difficulties to increased it's price in the year of 2020 because bitcoin's price is down to 7,771.27 USD, that is why it will take a lot of time for bitcoin's price to increased it's price back to 20,000 USD. But if bitcoin halving will start to continue i think it will be easy for bitcoin to gain back it's price again.

Bitcoin has shown time and time again that it can move extremely quickly if there is enough demand for it, what we do not know is how much demand we will have for bitcoin in 2020 because even if we know the halving will take place if the price of bitcoin keeps going down then it is very likely that many of those that are holding their coins for the long term will be unable to hold those coins any longer and will have to sell their coins making the price to go down instead of up during the halving.

as we know that many people always say that bitcoin will go up at the end of this year and before that someone said it will go up at the beginning of the year and now you say that it will happen in early 2020, for me if you could trade or invest well then you can get profit at any price, don't bother with various predictions because it will only make you stressed out

From the TA that a friend of mine shared to me,  I think it's best to buy bitcoin in the mid 2020, although it's just a chart predictions,  but most of the time his predictions is always right.
Perhaps I will wait till  I see a huge sell of in the market because alot of investors will want to cash out for the yuletide season. I believe bitcoin will hit a new all time high price next year perhaps

We should not rely from others prediction as it’s not accurate. Invest on what you can afford to lose in this market since it is volatile. We cannot judge if year 2020 for bitcoin will be in good position but hoping it is since many of us who truly waits and believe in bitcoin’s future.

Yes, I also believe that the price of bitcoin is going to be high now I have faith in bitcoin. I don’t believe what other people say but I try to make my own research and only buy any coin that I k ow will make a profit like bitcoin. Holding is best in 2020 I am sure investors will not lose anything but they are going to make profit this year.

How about Halving, this is one big factor why people should buy and people are pinning their hopes of profit to halving, we even have a Bitcoin halving countdown https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/.
And of course, we have big companies joining the growing Cryptocurrency community.

Halving will be a game-changer, supply will be cut again, miners will have to make some changes, to upgrade their gear if they wish to continue with mining. Halving comes every 4 years, people are getting more familiar with cryptocurrencies, I believe both things will have effects on Bitcoin growth, and we can be positive about Bitcoin in 2020, we will continue to see progress like in past years.

Knowing what will happen in the market during the next year is without a doubt difficult, there were many predicting that this year was going to be really bad for cryptocurrencies in general and we can say that despite the correction that we are experiencing at the end of the year this was a good year anyway, which makes me think that there is a higher probability that the next year is not going to be as positive, but even if that is the case take that as an opportunity to buy bitcoin because we know that sooner or later it will surpass its ATH.

The only thing I see in 2020 is more people will be aware of Bitcoin and Blockchain. Lately I see a lot of seminars and training about Blockchain and Bitcoin. That will surely help people to know more about Bitcoin and its purpose and not only about the scams were Bitcoin was used. In Singapore alone, almost every month there is an event that is related to Bitcoin or Blockchain. The most anticipated one is the Blockshow. Not sure about the schedule next year but it was successful for the past 2 years even when the ticket price is high.

That is great and I'm happy to know that cryptocurrencies are growing all over the world especially bitcoin but that is not going to be enough to bring enough people to this market to make the price to go up and even more importantly to bring adoption to the levels that we want, I'm really thinking that the only way in which people are going to adopt cryptocurrencies massively is if during the next years we begin to see an economic crisis so big that they have no option but to try something like bitcoin.

Awareness of Bitcoin and Blockchain is rising every year. Bitcoin in 2020 will grow a little more, like it's growing
every year. Cause of that rising interest among people and companies for Bitcoin or Blockchain technology entire
crypto-market is growing.
Bitcoin will stay on top, where it's now. There are no competitors for Bitcoin at the moment. Next year will be
the year of Bitcoin, with upcoming halving and possible price rise. In 2020 all eyes will be on Bitcoin.

2020 will be the end of the bear market until the bull market comes, Bitcoin price volatility will continue to slow this year until it reaches 12,730$ , Some analysts say that the move of the Bitcoin price above 6500$ indicates the end of the bear market, 2020 will be one of the best crypto years in which the price of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are corrected until they reach their highest prices.

It is possible that what you mentioned or predicted will happen in 2020, but in my opinion it will not happen in the near future and maybe in the next few months and will remain in 2020.
and what we see is that the price of bitcoin now lasts around $ 7,000 and $ 7,500 and if there is no change in December it seems difficult if it happens in the near future to reach $ 12,730 and it might take 2 or 3 months to reach or there is a possibility of exceeding that price, but nothing is impossible with bitcoin because bitcoin can turn things around suddenly.

Yes, like other friends' comments, that Halving rumors are getting closer that makes many crypto lovers hope that Bitcoin will return like 2017. Only a few of them also think that the price of Bitcoin will not be like 2017 which has increased dramatically. no one can be sure the price will be.  they can calculate that when viewed from the supply will reduce and the price automatically goes up. just wait and see

where do you know more people familiar with crypto? i think many people leave bitcoin and move to offline jobs, because they are disappointed with bitcoin price. if bitcoin increase high price maybe people will come again, but its still difficult to happen in 2020
According to me bitcoin in 2020, still stable price. just little rise

It is a huge mistake to leave this market just because the price is going down, I understand that those people are disappointed because of what it's happening but getting out of the market is not the right decision, because by the time they find out that the price is going up once again they will lose a great deal of the profits that they could have gotten if they had remained in the market, but at the end it is their decision and if they want to leave that is their choice.
