Not altcoin season yet, and in my personal opinion  its not good to invest i new coin now. No good news, so far and more on fud.  If I'm not mistaken, altcoin season happens on and after bitcoin bullrun. Its better to just trade, short term trading to be specific. Just stay tuned on crypto sites and check coinmarketcap always for volume so that you can get an idea.

Bitcoin starting to end its dominance and now its falling hard I'm expecting a good run for altcoin after the price cool down because right now bitcoin down and altcoins follow its price action.
It's so hard to tell when the next alts season because theres no good sign for altcoin.

There is nothing new in the news today. There are some minor ones that are not significant enough to create an altcoin season. In fact, when I opened my phone today, what I saw were bleeding prices. There must be bad sentiments in the market today instead of good. But the good side of all this is that people are given very low prices for them to buy before the season.

Everything is happening for a reason, and altcoins has damaged its name because of a lot of scammers, so we cannot blame people if they are tired investing in altcoins to. Besides that, there are some devs that don't care about the price, they are not considering their investors, sad reality so investors are getting frustrated to invest too.

I dont see any coins that not affected with the current situation  all of them decrease its price when there is bad news or fud.
The altcoin seasons can only be happen if the mother of crypto which is BTC break 10k$ i guess that will be a sign that alt will follow.

Actually, there are many promising cryptos to mention. There are many new projects which are gaining popularity in this industry but what concerns the investors the most is the msrket behavior. Many investors do think that this is not the right time to invest on new cryptos being listed on exchanges. They do prefer investing to those cryptos which are on the market for years already because these coins are having a higher tendency to recover from the market situation.

Indeed, its not their fault for having some trust issues since it scamming incident is definitely hard to cope up with. Actually most them had experience it because they don't even make sure before investing and that is why they always end up losing money, scammers these days are taking advantage on those people they think they can easily fool like newbies. Well of course there are some altcoins that are worth it but they are difficult to find these days.

New coins are always on the market but at the moment the price is not good altcoin average drops dramatically, so for now there is no need to buy altcoin because it is not yet time, if you want to really find new coins, look for IEO in Binance now I think it will be good.

There's always an altcoin season you must just needed to find out where they are. Yes I said it. Cause I'm doing an analysis on trading on Binance and everyday, there is a different coin that pump at least 20 to 40% volume. Where you can get those profits right? if I can tell which altcoin to buy every other day then it will a huge altcoin season for me. I'm not gonna wait for an altcoin season where all tokens are green, this is a seasonal event actually

At this point it feels like a new altseason is not coming in the near future, at least the way it has happened in the past. There are way too many eyes on crypto right now and the bagholders from the last season have not yet let go of the bags they managed to accumulate.
Im guessing future altseason will be more about single projects going up rather than the whole market.

There is a big drought of good news in the altcoin industry and top coins are still subscribing to the direction which Bitcoin is going...when it is up a little then altcoin can also be making a little jump, otherwise they can be heading south (down) when Bitcoin is having its headache. Right now, we are in the middle of a lake colored red and there is no clear signs yet that things can be coming back for good. We are just weathering this big storm, who knows big good news can be coming to the whole cryptocurrency industry when things are starting to be sober.

The good news that we have is that you can shop on with almost everything right now. The market has got into a dip so that would be an amazing news if you haven't accumulated that much before.

The altcoin season? like the usual answer that you will hear is that no one knows and no one can give you the exact details on how and when it will come. Crypto is very unpredictable and you just can't expect an answer for that question.

Hard to time the altcoin markets knowing that most of the attention is currently invested to bitcoin and bitcoin alone. Altcoins are only good for the first few weeks of its launch wherein most of the hype is still existing, and after some time it will just die out and be a part of the pump and dump community. There are cases though wherein altcoins genuinely get some support from the community, though that’s a pretty rare occurrence nowadays and even with an obscene amount of TA and predictions, one cannot simply guess when will it be.

if i had to guess, i would say the altcoin pumping season would start in the third quarter of 2020.

my reasons are:
- bitcoin price would already be past the previous ATH by then and because of that we will see a lot of hype in the media and a lot of new investors coming in bitcoin just like in early 2017 when price was breaking $1200 (the ATH of that time)
- this fresh money from newbies is going to once again be fooled into going into shitcoins and pump them hence starting the new altcoin pumping season.

I say altcoin season will come when Bitcoin makes a new all time high price or at least it goes near the all time high price. Why? Because most buyers will be new entrants to crypto. I don't expect most that left to come back. I suspect it will be around February next year.

As of now the price of different altcoins are now down and if you look in the coinmarketcap the price of top rank cryptocurrencies are also down. There are plenty of new coins in market but not all of them are worth to invest. Maybe if you are lucky in the last few weeks you might experience the altcoin seasons but I know it didn't last that long.

We will not enter the altcoin season if bitcoin is still not in a bullish state. Because altcoin usually follows the price of bitcoin, bitcoin goes up, altcoin goes up. Or it could be that the bitcoin sideway has not moved for several months, usually, altcoin starts acting there.
And I think this year is a bit less convincing for the occurrence of the altcoin season.

There is need for a classified news to transform the altcoins market. Although, it seems that this year is already out of it,. So I am looking toward to what might happen first with the launch of Ethereum 2.0, because that might be the beginning and might have huge positive impact on other altcoins, of its launch turns out to be great.

Usually when bitcoin down become big chance for altcoin raise to higher price where investor move money from bitcoin to altcoin investment, but looking with altcoin still lower price with effect of bitcoin down. Maybe altcoin season have waiting for when bitcoin come back to higher price again and when bitcoin raise up altcoin will follow and raised to higher price.

I think that the altcoin season will return when the whole market begins to grow. Currently, there are no prerequisites for this. But, it seems to me, growth will begin when the positions of governments regarding cryptocurrencies appear (that is, regulatory certainty must come).

Yes, no altseason yet my friends. I said it even when we thought we were in a rally this year. It was far, far too soon. We needed to be prepared for at least 2020, and thanks to the sudden rally we didn't expect this year now we have to delay expectations to at least 2021, 2020 is far too soon to be sustainable.

I feel like without bitcoin recovering over 10k again, we won't get to see an altcoin season. Yes, it could happen without bitcoins help but people are too focus on the bitcoin price right now and while they are focusing on the bitcoin price they can't really get to do an altcoin season where they are investing into altcoins.

First, the bitcoin price has to reach a level where it could go as high as possible, and after that people need to realize they made as much money as they could possibly from bitcoin and its not going any further up and should switch their money into altcoins. Only then we will get to see one, most of the time even after bitcoin goes up we do not see an altcoin season so we should not expect any while its going down for sure that's what I can say.

As for me, it isn't altcoin season yet and the market is still on its recovering process. Even Bitcoin is still changing continuously so we can't conclude that its the best time to harvest our altcoin investments. It's actually the best time for us to purchase and buy altcoins while the prices are still low. We better take this opportunity to accumulate altcoins.

Ain't any good news in the last couple of weeks that might push the market.

Just the usual stuff, graphs, speculations about what going to happen in certain alt.

So I doubt that we are going to see any altcoin season this year, might have to wait till the second half of 2020, unless someone pumps the market again. But I doubt it since investors are no longer interested in alts because of the long bearish trend.

This is probably due to the expected price increase of bitcoin. Because once the bitcoin bulllrun is started it will definitely raise the price of bitcoin and strong altcoins will go up with it.

so far there are only a few good coins on the market, maybe now is no longer the altcoin season. many ICOs are a major factor scam making increasingly rare good coins on the market, on average the project fails due to lack of funds from investors. Even the successor, IEO, is now rarely found on the exchange. maybe in the future there will be another altcoin season, after fighting the scammers in my opinion.

Some prices have decreased along with bitcoin. In this times, I believe that it is wise to consider to plan buying and start investing. But of course, the price drop isn't enough. You should also somewhat ensure that the prices can still recover. Also, investing in multiple coins can help if one investment fails. Read a lot of other news because some of them may have an impact to the prices in the next days.

Altcoin season won't come this year, most people are busy selling their altcoin holdings and not buying. If there are less buy orders than sell orders, then it's impossible to see altcoin season. For now we are still in a bearish market, I hope next year will be better since bitcoin halving should lead to a market uptrend.

After a bad day two days ago today we are seeing an incredibly recovery by the market, but even this recovery is not an indication that an altcoin season is coming and most likely it will not come during this year, if we are lucky there is the possibility we could see an altcoin season during the next year, so if you are interested in buying altcoins this could be the time to do it because it is doubtful that you are going to find them for a cheaper price in the future.

Why the most people expect altseason v.02? isn't it more profitable if play scalping, rather than buying and holding it for a certain period. If the altseason happens a second time, it will be fine. But what if that will never happen again? surely you will lose many opportunities because waiting for the uncertainty.

Don't lose hope as things will change sooner once the halving takes place which will give pump to bitcoin and we all are aware that once the bitcoin increases other coins will increase as well.  Basically bitcoin is the pillar of crypto world,  we react to situations too much than required which causes chaos and in turn the chaos leads to FUD which leads to panic selling.  We need to go on standby mode for sometime until market recovers.

agree with this opinions, bitcoin must rise first then altcoin can go to follow bitcoin price
that scenario happened in the last altseason where happened in the last 2017, i think the next altseason will be not far from that scenario

Profitable for those who have time and know how to use technical analysis. To some of us, just holding alts paid off very well last time. And even there was some easy scalps to raise the amount if you knew how and had some luck as well.

You surely see how the situation of bitcoin is increasing in the middle of this year. the increase in bitcoin is not controlled and makes everyone sell altcoin for bitcoin because altcoin is not able to match the dominance of bitcoin trading in the market. this situation if repeated then the fate of altcoin will also not change and only experience very few movements in the market. watch for trades that are now firm, BTC / USDT and crypto / USDT. Stable assets are the choice of traders now and making crypto adoption also does not experience a large gain.

Only then we will get to see one, most of the time even after bitcoin goes up we do not see an altcoin season so we should not expect any while its going down for sure that's what I can say.
agree with this opinions, bitcoin must rise first then altcoin can go to follow bitcoin price
that scenario happened in the last altseason where happened in the last 2017, i think the next altseason will be not far from that scenario
because as far i know, history always repeats itself

Today's bitcoin has increased significantly, you can see today's market chart that bitcoin has increased 11.5%. and some of the top altcoins are starting to follow the bitcoin price movements. so I think the top altcoin in the market still has a chance to experience price increases again.

I don’t think you have not missed anything that much within the space of time that you were away, I don't think that there has been anything encouraging about the altcoin now, majority of them are still in bear market and I am not expecting any of them to really come out of the bear market until the altcoin season comes and that might be till next year.

Bitcoin is the only currency that we are still relying on right now to actually recover from the previous dump that it had, and while we were waiting for the recovery, we saw another major dump from $8000 to $7500 which I am of the opinion that this could actually be the last decline we will see for this year ending, maybe from now on, we could be going to $9000 and from there to maybe $12000.

everything is dumping these days that bitcoin price is recovering and going back up again. if you check the charts whether in BTC or USD you can see these dumps.
for instance since bitcoin went up 40% that "top" altcoins have dropped from 20 to 50% over the duration of that rise. those that dropped smaller had their USD value rise up like ethereum but those that dumped more than 40% like XRP lost both their BTC and USD value.

I think the current market only has Bitcoin rising and there are not many opportunities for Altcoin during this time so surely both will never be able to raise prices together this year. I have analyzed many times on this issue but the volatility of the market is the main reason why altcoins cannot rise. At the moment you should sit still and focus more on Bitcoin because this is the only coin that will decide this market in the near future.

It is possible that Bitcoin price will not rise this year but I believe that by 2020 everything will change and Bitcoin will soon return to $20,000 again before another trend appears.

News about altcoin season is fake mate.  See the market it still struggling and the growth rate of some alts still can't exceed wherein sometimes fluctuating gradually also. Its been weeks now since that news emerge but unfortunately market didn't show positive sign.  It would be great actually if the alts survive.  But investors nowadays are very greedy and scared to put money for long run. Reason good news cant influence the market .

No one knows for sure when the alt season occurs, we can only guess through the sign that leads there. We can see the signs of bitcoin
price movements that are increasingly in the direction of bull run, usually after that followed by an increase in the price of altcoins. From
there we can see which direction the altcoins are moving, if moves to the top of the price and is followed by almost all altcoins. That's just
a sign of starting the alt season. I estimate the alt season will occur later this year, provided that the price of bitcoin does not drop below $ 8,000.

many new coins appear on the market but the problem is very difficult to find the right new coins, maybe most of them are good but many fail, such as products not functioning properly, poor marketing, teams & developers no longer care about previous projects, and they would rather launch a new project than maintain an old project.

So far this year.. the market share of the altcoins have went down by more than half. One year back, the altcoins used to enjoy more than 50% market share... but now the same share have dipped below the 1/4th mark. Among the top altcoins, every single one have lost their value against BTC during the same duration. And the trends indicate that in the future also the same condition will continue.

We need to get rid off shitcoins first in order to consolidate the altcoin market so that it will be easier in focusing on the potential altcoins and I believe it will take one more year or so for any recovery when it comes to altcoin market if the situation does not improve or else it needs a massive bull run again. Once the top ten altcoin starts gaining the value that's the moment we are heading towards green zone.

No altseason yet, we are still in the bear market and people were discussing that this market might take until 2021 because of the unclear regulations regarding on cryptocurrencies.

I don't think it has to wait till 2021 except for few ones that will be layer back. I'm always checking on altcoins to follow the bitcoin rally. For instance if you look at the altcoins now, they are showing good move because bitcoin is increasing. Look at electroneum, tidex and many, they are pushing higher. So, I think next year we are going to see some profit from altcoins just like in 2017.

A 500% increase for altcoins as we know it may not come again. But different altcoins, every day, offer different possibilities. If you are a good trader you can take advantage of these opportunities. That's because most altcoins can make a 15% daily profit. If you work hard enough to take every opportunity, you can make 100% profit within a month.

I'm not a very good trader, but I know traders who can do it.

Today, in one night, BTC has grown by almost 30% after dump October 24th.TOP Altcoins follow to bitcoin and also grow up. WE can only observe these movements. The cryptocurrency market doesn't obey any analytics and forecasts. The most of the coins are held by whales and they manipulate the cryptocurrency market. the coins which are pumping have to be most of altcoins, so we can say that's a sign of altseason.

everything is dumping these days that bitcoin price is recovering and going back up again. if you check the charts whether in BTC or USD you can see these dumps.
for instance since bitcoin went up 40% that "top" altcoins have dropped from 20 to 50% over the duration of that rise. those that dropped smaller had their USD value rise up like ethereum but those that dumped more than 40% like XRP lost both their BTC and USD value.

Buying alts are so risky but I have a friend I mirror his altcoin trades, we enter together and exit together even with the smallest profit margins irrespective of the exchange and coin. Last trade we executed was Noah coin and Apollo. Altcoins trades is very risky but its profit is quick that is why I indulge in it atimes

Why the most people expect altseason v.02? isn't it more profitable if play scalping, rather than buying and holding it for a certain period. If the altseason happens a second time, it will be fine. But what if that will never happen again? surely you will lose many opportunities because waiting for the uncertainty.
Because not everyone has the time to watch the markets every day and make profits out of them, and even if they had the time that doesn't mean that they have the skill to do it, an altcoin season is a very easy way to get a lot of profits because the only thing that you need to do is to hold your coins, so as you can see the main reason why most members of the forum want an altcoin season is because it is a form of easy money for them.

It's so sad to say that there is not much good news in cryptocurrency we are seeing too many red marks that's is causing a debate of of the bull run is here already maybe things will settle down the coming weeks or so

I don't know about that, it seems many are expecting that as soon as the halving happens the price of all the coins in the market are will come up in a very sudden way and I do not believe that will happen, most likely what we will see is that there is going to be a huge expectation for the price to go up and when that doesn't happen many will begin to sell their coins, so we will see a slight decrease in the price and then after a few months we could see the increase everyone was looking for.

That is a good dream to evaluate the altcoin bull run  :P, if you are able to view that in a right prospective then you will not think that to have an altcoin rally you need to see the dominance of bitcoin to be reduced substantially  :P. There are many coins in the market with unlimited coins and if you are creating more coins like that then these shit coins can overtake the market capital of bitcoin but that does not change the fundamentals :P.

You're right . The current market depends heavily on the value of Bitcoin, so altcoins usually cannot rise if Bitcoin still dominates the crypto market. I think in 2020 everything will change and Bitcoin will decrease in dominance and the altcoin season can officially begin. Of course I'm not sure because the volatility of this coin is still occurring many times this year so this time is best to just sit still and wait.

At the moment dominance is at 67.4%, I think just a month earlier it was higher? Or I don't remember correctly?
2020 is the year of halving, I think we will see some changes, but not right away. I was here in 2016, the last halving had effects on the market and price itself only after some time. I
I can't say when we will see the altcoin season, but I`m somehow sure that it's coming.

as investors who invest using altcoin should understand and understand with all the risks that will be incurred in investing with altcoin and if altcoin experiences bad developments investors remain calm and not panic so as to make the currency decline and the interest of investors in investing that can create the currency has increased in its development

If you buy Altcoins at the current price, then I think the risks are at a normal level. Prices for Altcoins are no longer falling, and perhaps next year we will see a large increase in the entire market.

Probably after 2020, as 2020 is the BTC halving.

everyone hopes the 2017 altcoin season will repeat itself. but does everyone think that building a market for a long season also takes a long time? and a lot of this market needs to be prepared to go back to the altcoin season. 2017 is not an easy achievement for the development of the altcoin market. many supporting aspects must be achieved. whereas right now, it looks like we're still far from the altcoin season.
Trends like 2017 will not re-form in the sense that altcoin will be the same increase as that year. I see exactly the direction of the market when it will Bullish altcoin will create a new price shock but several new altcoins will replace the big enough achievement in 2017. Like ethereum I am pessimistic when the market direction has formed the price will be the same as when the highest point was reached

It will come for eth. Just not soon it seems. Many coins will not be coming back to their value when bitcoin spearheaded the crypto boom last 2017. It's been downhill for the market in general after that but we're seeing postive movements as well this year. For long term holders, there shouldn't be any problem if they're willing to hold for a few years. Top alts eventually will move up then.

The market trend is really unpredictable because this market is very volatile during this time and Bitcoin often drops unexpectedly, so I am very careful when investing. The market is likely to rise someday but this year it is certain that the downtrend will be more overwhelming. I have analyzed many times and the altcoin season will come very late so be more careful and if you don't feel secure, you can choose long-term investment.

the magnitude of risk that is obtained and one of them is the price development which we cannot predict with certainty and the development of altcoin also no one can memastika and in my opinion the development of crypto or altcoin currencies depends on the investors themselves and the greater the interest of investors in investing of course the development of investment will be increasingly big

It may take a long time for this to happen but I have great confidence in the current market and certainly the altcoin season will take place in the next few years because the crypto market is predicted to be a very promising market. Now people are showing signs of optimism when investing in altcoin and a lot of big investors are considering long-term investment during this time period so I believe this is a very good opportunity to make a profit.

Predictions of the altcoin season are often mentioned a lot and no one can be sure when that will happen. If you are not worried, take this opportunity because the current prices of altcoins are very cheap.

Volatility is always there and we cannot deny the fact the we cannot really know on when would alts start to rise and when would it stop and one thing there is for sure the price of all crypto will rise up once there is a good events or news came with Bitcoin actually we can see that always on the market, Although it's still risky to invest today but if we act smart on our trading movements for sure we can earn huge once a huge pump came.

No one knows when will the altseason starts, but i guess altseason will only start after the next halving of bitcoin,  maybe by mid 2020,  im expectating that the next altseason will be remarkable.

Based on 2017 analysis shows that when altcoin reached its peak, the first bitcoin experienced a large increase and at that time the dominance was very strong more than 60-70% and after the crypto market has decreased and bitcoin has experienced price stability from altcoin experienced increase. now what momentum will occur for the rise in bitcoin? 2020 there will be halving and every approaching halving the price of bitcoin will increase

And why? Running late on crypto news last few weeks. Any good new coins on markets?
nothing new but something is being awaited and that's the Halving lol.

altcoin season when Bitcoin turns Bull then surely altcoins will follow instantly just like the normal scenario whenever the bull starts to run.

in 2017 every single Legit Alts makes their way up and grows more than hundred % growth so lets just keep the patient.nothing will come to those who don't want to wait.

No one really cares about it, you are not mistaken in the way you think but most investors are only guided by their desire to make money and not their desire to understand the market and make money in the progress, so they have this irrational desire that bitcoin and altcoins are achieving all time highs every single day for the rest of their lives, and if you watch the way any market moves you can easily understand that is not the way the markets react and that they go up and down in a random way.

Well that's kinda true actually, but the investor should also keep in mind that the Altcoin also increase in price when the bitcoin rise in value, even though a coin remain at the same amount as compared to bitcoin, but if you see the dollar value then it increases with increase in price of bitcoin, so in general people have also gained a lot this year just for keeping their altcoin bag safe.
