Title: Bitpay question Post by: kanemi on October 30, 2019, 03:06:27 AM So I just tried creating a wallet with this app, and it says "Creating Wallet" for an hour now. Does it normally take this long, or did I screw something up?

Furthermore, if I recall correctly, BitPay is more of a payment gateway rather than a wallet. If you are planning to use it as your main Bitcoin wallet, I'd suggest you check out Electrum or Bitcoin-qt itself.

Title: Bitpay merchant here Post by: KWeenk on October 30, 2019, 12:05:32 PM I am using their payment processing services however never used them for anything else like wallet etc. With their servies so far I am satisfied I can say. You are better off to use offline wallet though, just what I think. Good thing about them is that they claim not to have access to your private keys, so you alone are responsible for your keys.

What country do you come from? maybe bitpay have problem server or Your country isn't supported. Seems my country doesn't support bitpay. A simple workaround would be to use a VPN (I've reproduced the problem and it worked). The VPN should be running all the time and only during the process of creating the wallet otherwise you'll have an error:
