Oh man people shill crap here all the time, its hard to say... theres alot of projects people just build and you don't hear much till they do something big, but heres some picks from me:

ADK - Saw that one just yesterday, low cap right now, definitally one to watch and see what it does in 2020
VBK - They had a really shaky IEO, but they have a good team and solid funding now, 2020 could be their year
ETH - PoS might actually happen in 2020, if so, keep your eye to this beauty, see where she goes
GRIN - This is prob the most interesting coin in years, and might just be finding its good bottom in the market. keep an eye on it for sure in 2020 imo
RVN - Strickly $peculation, this coin has some big names around it. Watch for it to maybe not develop much, but probably do some price shit, of course, up or down tho remains to be seen :P

BLOCK - First project to ever dabble with the idea to run a proper DEX. Launched the first DEX. The go-to project for blockchain interoperability solutions
BCH - While it's BTC's little brother, it shouldn't be ignored, huge upside potential
XRP - Obvious one, bank coin, which could see massive gains long term. Centralized coin, which I dislike though.
BNB - Could potentially hit $100/coin, if they don't lose their position as the number 1 Exchange
LINK - Oracles, which can process data from companies. Also a good pick

Ethereum always become number 1 alts in my list
because people already knew if this alts is the best altcoin for now
Binance coin, an exchange with good performance in this year, and i believe this coin still has a chance to grow more
monero, best privacy coins
also litecoin and IOTA

Monero (XMR) - I think privacy coins really haven't go the attention they deserve. There is a new sidechain under development that plans to add smart contract functionality to Monero. This could propel it to heights not seen before
Ethereum (ETH) - Easily the largest and most well-established smart contracting platform. If the sharding update works as expected, all competitors will likely be destroyed.
Tron (TRX) - Justin Sun sure knows how to get those partnerships, and the BitTorrent protocol is an asset that hasn't even been utilized yet. I expect Tron will continue to grow unless Justin Sun is busted for some reason.

Those are the only 3 I would recommend. Beyond that, XRP and XLM are worth holding a small amount, due to their potential among banks.

Here are my pics for the next 3 years:

ETH - If some other platform won't conquer the collectables markets soon, it will be hard to overthrow the eth, because they are too far ahead on this.
ADA - Only one that could actually fight the second place on the marketcap with ETH imho.
DUSK - Top notch team building mainly solutions to security trading, still without the mainnet though.
LEO - A token that iFinex will buy back. And i am hoping it will gain a lot of value because of that.
VECHAIN - Highly connected Chinese project that seems to have a bright future if it doesn't get banned in there before it really gets started.

5 altcoins for investment
1. Binance Coins is an ecosystem of Binance Exchangers. Certainly coins will rise rapidly because their IEO has to hold a Coin Binance.
2. litcoin after halving reward in August 2019 makes the supply of litcoin more difficult to find
3. XRP is a tool to send money to various countries they continue to grow because behind XRP there are big banks
4. Tron is a coin from justin sun adopted son of JACK MA, justin I think is good for doing business recently they are supported by Samsung.
5. Bch which is supported by roger ver, ceo bitcoin.com, says that bch is superior to bitcoin in terms of speed, fee. bch like bitcoin in 2009.

ETH - ETH is no doubt a big coin that we must have, the reason is of course because ETH has a strong community and features that are very useful for now and the future
BNB - The coins of the biggest exchanges, have a huge potential because of the very high demand for exchanges
KLAY - This is a very good coin because it partners with Samsung and many other large companies, currently KLAY is only listed on Upbit ID and Upbit SG
NEO - This is a coin from China, and you also know that recently a lot of good news comes from China and it is definitely possible that the price of this coin can soar.
XLM - These coins are very stable and have a strong community, good for short-term or long-term trading

This is my Top 5  ;)

1. BNB : BNB is arguably the new and strongest competitor for now in the world of trading / crypto, aside from binance which has made many new tokens emerge and become booming, BNB is also the life of an exchanger that is used as a barometer at this time.
2. XRP : Open-source technology, built on the principles of blockchain with a growing set of validators. This makes it possible for us as XRP users to and can freely do anything with XRP without any worries.
3. ETH : However ETH continues to be a benchmark in the crypto world, ETH has spawned many successive generations for which they are also successful. It is mandatory as a crypto trader or lover to have ETH in your wallet.
4. XLM : XLM is a coin that has a strong community, XLM lovers really maintain the sustainability of XLM, until now XLM always occupies the TOP chart in large exchangers. XLM has already surpassed various critical times in its age as one of the most famous assets in crypto.
5. DOGE : This DOGE is a loyal companion legend from BTC, Doge has its own path, indeed the price is not much, but if you have a long-term plan doge is a good choice, we know that doge has been widely used, integrated into various platforms.

Pundi X - good product and really has a superb team, still holding some of it on my wallet. I believe they can be good altcoin in the future foe having a real product around the globe.

Harmony - Scalability and fast network, though they are still started I think the team who came from different big companies can really create a platform that lack the previous projects.

Binance - I like this cause they are the number 1 exchange and most voted as good IEO launchpad. Well trusted eversince I think they can go high in the future.

Two mores are ETH and XRP. No need to state but these two are sleeping giant that could beat or rival BTC.

1 ethereum - POS implementation in the future
2 crypterium - global card and mobile payment is working perfectly and company has been earning revenue and that means the product is working.
3 grin - a good mimble wimble coin
4 chainlink - a good coin with a lot of usefulness of its platform
5 IOST - it has made a good platform and it looks like a lot of people are FOMO to buy IOST

This is not an investment advice but only a few alts are worth to be watched. I suggest you to do a of research before investing in a coin.

5 Altcoin that are worth watching

ETH - is a token that is very popular with its smart contracts and also many projects that use it to develop their tokens
TRX - just like Ethereum, Tron has its own smart contract and many successful projects are based on Tron.
BNB - is one of the popular coins that continues to rise and for those BNB holders can participate in IEO in Binance can generate 5x profit
DOGE - is a cheap coin with many communities, with investments there you can be able to hold in the long run.
XLM - is an old coin that still exists at number 11 on CMC, but this is good to watch because many companies have partnered with big companies.

Currently I only know 3 altcoins that are quite awesome to track and buy. but I have to say, I'm a risky speculator, I am always looking for and speculating on coins that have strong growth rates of 300% - 600% in a short period of time.
For example :
WPP - potential: good news will take place on November 19, possibly the Bithumb listing event.
Bitcoin2 - potential: being one of the small alts but bringing huge mining profits. There are many sharks planning to push the price to create a new trend for the market.
Beaxy (BXY): one of my favorite coin exchanges. They have a passionate team and always receive suggestions from users and are quite enthusiastic. It will be Binance or Bittrex in the next few years.

I recommend 5 altcoin:
Ethereum (ETH) - Ethereum has received a lot of attention from many major blockchain companies. More than 200 organizations in various industries have invested in Ethereum to experience the version of the cryptocurrency blockchain
Binance Coin (BNB) - The reasons to consider BNB are because we can see the continuous development coming from both Binance and Binance Chain, IEO, and BNB burning.
Litecoin (LTC) - Litecoin is expected to become the next payment support currency, becoming a more decentralized proof - of - work cryptocurrency than bitcoin.
Ripple (XRP) - XRP has been of interest to many banks and other financial institutions when it started to enter the blockchain.
Cosmos (ATOM) - Cosmos is a network for better interoperability between blockchain types. Almost all major exchanges list it for free
 

I am not gonna talk about top coins like Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, BCH! Here I want to list my top 5 favorite altcoins of this year!

1. TEM - Cryptocurrency evolved here! Just read their whitepaper, you will be amazed how big this project is! The CEO had an interview in the sky channel!
2. KLAY - A coin from one of the biggest social network platform Kakao talk! This coin already listed on upbit, BW exchange, partnered with oKex. This is a future gem for sure!
3. BNB- One of the top coins, everyone knows about it. A coin from the largest crypto exchange with billion dollars volume!
4. GRIN- An altcoin that is getting love from every crypto supporters! It has some great developments this year, just check its platform, you will love it for sure!
5. ATOM - Within a very short time ATOM got huge supports from everyone in this crypto field! it's like born to lead! Read their whitepaper or visit their website, The Cosmos project has really some big thing to offer in crypto!

now it is nearing the end of the year and usually a lot of altcoins start to increase prices, and for 5 altcoins you can see is

- Ethereum: Ethereum is currently silent but I believe ethereum can have very good development.
- XRP: Many submissions about cooperation with various companies that can make the price expensive.
- Litecoin: Litecoin is always used to make transactions between places of exchange when bitcoin transactions are solid.
- Binance Coin: this is a very unusual exchange platform because they have a lot of good developments.
- XLM: XLM works with many projects and can work with keybase

Each of the altcoins that I mentioned have reasons why it can be suitable to look at the end of this year because usually when the conditions of bitcoin prices rise, the price of 5 atlcoin will experience price increases.

My top 5 are

ETH 2020 is the year  for ethereum, it is has the second best market cap after Bitcoin.
BNB Strong exchange, fast and secure blockchain, it has the potential to reach $100 in 2020
AWC Strong team, Popular wallet and profitable company from day one.
KCS Good exchange, listed as top 100 coin. Good to invest for long term.
NPXS Best good product. Next year they will launch their mainnet.

The coins on my watchlist are:

BNB: Can shoot up any time, and they got excellent business plans.
NPXS n FX: This is a risky one but has huge potential if they are successfully able to implement everything they said WP.
ONE: Got a brilliant team behind the project.
TEMTUM
KCS: Good dividend paying exchange's native coin.

For me, The most potential Altcoin is Ethereum, which is very potential and well accepted in this platform, not only that but also it has a good system which a very user-friendly and smart. Secondly, I can choose Monero, I think it has also in better shape, but it requires more attention for the people, also it's getting accepted in this platform. BNB is the third option for me, it's one of the strongest competitors in this system for both trading and holding, I think in the future,  BNB will be one of the best Altcoin, Finally, XRP should be in this list, it's also an open-source technology which has a good function for making it easy for the user.

Although there are many altcoin running in the market but i have analyse some who have most popular like as ETH,BNB,XRP,LITECOIN & RIPPLE.we can invest in these my opinion.

altcoin fourth from number 2 to 5 in my opinion has a very tactical movement and very profitable when we choose the coin for trading. for xrp, I'm also very confident about the long-term project as well.

ETH is most important altcoin have to watch because become payment platform for many ICO project eth have rank position on coinmarket cap under bitcoin, for other altcoin maybe RVN or ravencoin. I have invest there with higher amount because I think Ravencoin have stable with price, can up without waiting for long time and now still lower price give us chance to buy and sell after price on the higher.

If I personally often see and analyze 10 altcoins that always have a good rating, including 5 of them you have mentioned, because what you mentioned is also a good 5 altcoin to always be monitored or invested, because the five altcoins are always has a good rating in the market.

Currently I'm holding XRP,ETH,ADA,BNB and TRX since I think they are the one who hot a huge potential and safe alt's to store with.

And newbie should also go with this since if they look for the low ranked coins then provably they will be a member of bagholders who wish to sell there.holds I'm longer period.

for me only 3 from the list of BNB, ETH and TRX that I have at the moment, I'm sure of the potential that altcoin has above. and adding like EOS and LTC, they are also one of the good altcoins for long-term investment.

- ethereum because eth is the biggest dapps platform and will be holding a major update soon.
- BNB (binance token) because bnb is the best token exchange today with the biggest marketcap compared to its competitors such as HT (huobi tokens) KCS (kucoin Shares) and others.
- Litecoin, doge, XLM because they have low transaction costs.

ethereum: because ethereum 2.0 and maybe they will release a POS soon.
BNB: Everyone knows that this coin can be relied upon until now.
LTC, XLM, doge, and EOS: have low costs.
HT (huobi token): I see their growth is very organic and it's good for the future.
BCH: saw a few weeks ago they experienced an unexpected increase, and I think this coin is suitable for those who like to speculate.
klay from klaytn: a project from the social media giant kakalotalk, an ambitious project. and I see this project already has many partners, binance and OKEx are one of them.

NANO Love the tech, simple wallets, feeless transfers, P2P and spam updates incoming soon. Looks like a good buy opportunity ATM also.
BNB Not sure how an exchange token has hit these dizzying heights but not complaining. Just bought it ages ago as I felt binance seemed legit enough to go places.
BAT future roadmap would allow brave to be used for online purchase and membership and becoming standard for rewarding attention that could make it skyrocket

ethereum, litecoin, Huobi tokens (ht), Binance tokens (bnb), bitcoincash.
for ethereum the reason is because soon they will launch ethereum 2.0, this will be very beneficial because it will trigger the pump. HT and BNB, maybe because both of these tokens have a large marketcap for an exchange token. and finally bitcoincash, maybe not many people pay attention to this coin. because they think this coin is just a copy of BTC, but look at how this coin can sometimes make a difference. I recently saw this coin rise quite high.

ETH: Transition from to PoS, it requires a coin to generate a new coin. The demand should be increased and they might solve their scalability issue with their update.
Klay: A crypto that is backed by real company Kakaotalk and partnered with more than 40 partners around the world.
BNB: A coin that is used on Binance platform, Binance is the biggest exchange in the world and users are required to hold their token if they want to participate in their event.
NEM: An old coin that is going to make a breakthrough in their technology, if they can deliver what they have promised. This coin will be big.
LTC: Why not?

Below are some altcoins with remarkable project development.
ETH: Everyone in crypto space knows so many projects have built their token on Ethereum blockchain. ETH 2.0 will be launched soon, hence we can stake ETH by then.
NPXS: PUNDIX remains one of the best projects with respect to product and project development. They are the first to introduce crypto POS (Point of sale). I think right now it's highly undervalued.
NEO: This is the biggest blockchain/crypto project in China. With the trending blockchain adoption rumours in China, NEO will be one of the best Chinese picks. China has the largest population in the world, you know what that means.
ICX : ICON is the biggest blockchain/crypto project in Korea. The development has been awesome so far, they've been collaborating with Korean government for blockchain projects in specific fields (not crypto projects, don't get it twisted).
XLM: This is one project with really good features. Fast, low fees etc. I think it has great prospects in future.
 
 

After almost 2 years the market has not recovered, this makes me only focus on coins that already have a marketcap of more than $ 1 billion, and some of the coins that I made investments are: Ethereum, Litecoin, Cardano, Stellar, and NEO.

BRD - Always been a big supporter of their wallet, and I love their vision with stuff. It's a centralized wallet though, but I've had a great time using it.
BNB - Binance is just massive these couple of days, I've had their coins since when it was just 5 dollars for one of them.
ETH - Just always had some, feeling a resurgence this year.

Not really into the other alt's. Of a couple of recommendations, my portfolio also contains some XRP, LTC (for small payments), and some IOTA.

New alt seasions, new coin. Privacy coin will boom imo. especially private smart contract like Dero.

I believe that top 5 altcoins from coinmarketcap are going to be the most pumped altcoins as soon as bull market will arrive in town. ETH, LTC, BCH, EOS, XLM, all of those coins are very undervalued and I would give them a shot.

KLAY -> one of the new projects with which cooperation with large companies and benefits and close to its application in everyday life.
BNB -> one of the very potential exchange coins, especially Binance as one of the top exchange offers a great opportunity to increase the price, especially when combined with certain events such as IEO.
XLM -> This is one of my favourite coins, for a long time the news and rumours that followed were pleasant enough to be used as opportunities to participate in the game of rising and falling prices for trading, as happened later when most coins were burned.
ETH -> does not need much explanation, its products and applications are widely used, its potential is large.
IOTA -> one perfect example of how blockchain technology and digital assets can be implemented in everyday life.
