Are there any other trading platforms on for trading cryptocurrency aside from Kraken and if there are, what type of benefits do traders get when trading on those other platforms?

Some additional questions:
Can you do C2C Trading?
Can you convert the Crypto to cash?
What countries are those trading platforms based on?

If you are looking for exchanges, just go for the big boys like huobi, binance, okex (http://okex.com) etc.

If you are located in the US, use coinbase.

As a first post, it's not exactly the best.
Just search around and you will found dozens of posts about exchange comparison regarding fees, fiat deposit fees, support, supported country and so on.

The signup process is easy and doesn't require KYC for up to a certain threshold. The platform offers a multitude of trading options and also offers margin trading. If you want to stake coins without holding them in a wallet or placing them somewhere that requires locking, you can just leave your coins in your Binance account wallet and they stake automatically.
   They offer a wealth of resourceful information regarding each coin they have listed on their exchange and also offer lending now. Definitely one of the top exchanges around and they even have a Binance U.S site. They offer major support for Android and IOS devices if mobile trading is more of your thing or just for convenience sake!

Kraken is a good Exchange,  and you can stick to it.
But there are many others which you can trade with USD/BTC pair.

Kraken is a reputable exchange but man.. were you living in a cave? Just make a google search and you'll get a list of the most popular exchanges. I recommend checking CoinMarketCap to check out the platforms with the most trading volume. Also make sure you don't confuse volume with reputation. Volume can be faked through many tools so be careful. The best exchanges I know are Gemini, Bitstamp and Coinbase if you're looking for spot trading.

If you had used the search term "Cryptocurrency exchange" on Google you would have got the answer to your question. It is better to check Google before posting a new topic on the forum.
If you still need and answer then yes there are many good exchanges and the one that I use are Binance, Idex and Kucoin.

that is a silly question, there are many crypto exchanges, You just type a search on Google you will get many choices, whereas this type of exchange is often discussed in forums, of course you can exchange bitcoin for cash, some countries usually have local exchanges.

I assume you mean crypto to crypto?  Please don't let that abbreviation become a trend.

Any exchange you can find can do that anyway.  The big thing is being able to buy and sell crypto with fiat, and for that you have to do the kyc thing, and it all depends on what your local currency is, too.  You could easily find an exchange dealing in U.S. dollars but other currencies might not be available.

Kraken is fine, but there are better exchanges out there.  Binance, poloniex, kucoin are a few that have a good reputation and they all deal in fiat trades as far as I know.  Binance is probably the best you're going to find.

There are many, for example: LocalEthereum, LocalBitcoins, Paxful, Cryptoway, and so on. Each of them has its own characteristics and advantages, but at present we have multiple exchange options with cryptocurrencies and they operate in different countries.

Coinmarketcap cannot be used as a benchmark for the top list exchanges, because it is true that most of the volumes on your counterfeit can distinguish Coingecko and Coinmarketcap from very different.
So I look for exchanges like what the OP wants to always look for references on bitcointalk or google forums that are clear and understandable.

Kraken is the best exchange by far if your looking to work with a lot of fiat. KYC gets verified within minutes for me, the site has a great design to it and don't think they've ever had any issues with hacks.

Your looking for 2 fairly basic features that literally any exchange offers. Take a look at Binance, kucoin, okex, huobi, probit, etc. They all will work fine for you mate.

He probably meant Crypto to Cash. Otherwise, he shouldn't have asked such question. He knows Kraken, which means he knows there is crypto to crypto trading there.

Oh well, he's even asked whether there are other cryptocurrency trading platforms aside from Kraken. This man must have been away from the online world for a long time. Or perhaps he's living inside the Kraken world for quite a long while that he's not anymore aware that there are other worlds outside of it.

I wouldn't have to enumerate them one by one. In coinmarketcap alone, there are already hundreds of crypto trading platforms listed.

The suggest and advise above are very useful, then always considered your location using platform exchange allowed to your country buy and sell crypto from crypto to cash.
And to avoid loses make sure have full of knowledge how to trade, do not trade if you are ladk knowledge and full of understanding because for sure your in the risk. I guess you are a newbie in the world of cryptocurrency, lots of good and trusted trading platforms. I personally suggest to trading on Binance,
OKEx, Huobi and Yobit exchanges. If you want to trade must choose exchanges that are popular, safe, and trusted. Do not using new exchanges
because the promos offered, will later end scams. And the exchanges that I recommend are already available pair of USD so that assets can be
convert to stable coins. If to withdraw into cash you can use exchanges or wallets in the country where you live.
